Our Story began, when Shelby rang the doorbell. She was excited that I opened the door. I was unable to send her on her way even when I mentioned our Insurance carrier. We had been trying to get a new roof for 2 years. Denied everytime, even tho most other roofs were replaced in our neighborhood after storms hit 2 years ago. Shelby, said I will get you a new roof. I took her challenge. And she did a very thorough roof evaluation. Walking the house perimeter, scrambling on the roof and storage building and the attic. Best Choice is the "Go To" for your Roof replacement. Shelby Doran has done an outstanding job with getting our needs taken care of. Shelby has thorough knowledge of all aspects of Roofing and always very responsive whenever we had questions. She has repeatedly been on our roof for inspection, taking pictures to submit to our insurance company, removing a roofing tab for insurance inspection of compatible color & type, locating serial number of our skylight for proper flashing, and making temporary patches to our roof until it can be replaced.

Our insurance company immediately denied our claim when we contacted them even though my neighbors with hail damage were being compensated by their insurance. It was also denied immediately on appeal. Shelby Doran took control of our claim, contacting the insurance company describing technicalities of the damage, and submitting specific & detailed photographs. Shelby repeatedly followed up with the insurance company throughout their process until a resolution was reached approving our claim. Best Choice Roofing, especially Shelby Doran, saved us from the anxiety of finding a contractor to fix what we thought was a small amount of storm damage. Shelby noticed the damage on our roof while working on another job in our neighborhood, inspected both inside and outside the home, and worked closely with our insurance company to repair storm damage. We had the opportunity to upgrade to a Class 3 shingle, which lowered our homeowner’s insurance premiums. The crew started working on the roof at 7:00 am and finished by 4 pm the same day. I was in need of some roof repair where a small area of shingles had slid down. I contacted Robert Harris with Best Choice Roofing. Mr. Harris came to my house on a Sunday and checked my roof. He took pictures of the entire roof and informed me of the damage to the entire roof. He contact Alfa for me and put in a claim. By Tues I had a insurance agent on the roof who approved me for wind and hail damage. Wow! Due to Mr. Harris's roofing knowledge and work ethic the process was moving forward. I had a good experience with Best Choice Roofing. They replaced our roof last year after it suffered hail damage. They came out and gave an estimate. They detailed the process and costs. They worked with our insurance. They showed up when they were scheduled and got it done in 2 or 3 days. While they were into the roof, we asked them to look for plywood that might need to be replaced (for which we'd pay the extra cost), but they didn't find any. The only problems I encountered were with my insurance company dragging their feet. The roof is great.

He has always been prompt and straight forward in providing information regarding our roofing requirements. Thomas made getting a new roof very very easy. He performed an inspection of the roof and found hail and wind damage. He worked with my insurance company making my part easy all i had to do was sign checks. I'm serious I had pneumonia the entire month of March I was not able to check on the work as I normally would but didn't need to. The job was completed in about 8 hours and everything the crew moved was all put back and clean-up was completely free of nails in the yard and driveway. Simply put they done good.

Jonathon Stanley managed the installation process, and just like Malachi, he was a pleasure to work with. The team that installed the roof were friendly, hardworking and seemed to show great attention to detail—as the roof looks fantastic and the clean up after left nothing in the yard that would show they had ever been on the property. I would say that's pretty impressive.

I've heard from both Malachi and Jonathan today making sure I was satisfied, and I am most certainly satisfied—very satisfied.

The pictures below are of the "tear off" of the old shingles and the several pictures of the finished product, as well as a comparison of what the house looked like with the old roof (gray color) and the new roof (brown). It makes a huge difference in appearance alone.

BCR and Malachi Griggs provided excellent and professional service from start to finish. We were having a lot of storms in the Spring of 2024, taking shingles off with each gust of wind. We had repairs done initially with another roofing company that seemed only to care if we were getting a whole roof replacement. I don't think we saw the owner again after that. A couple of months later, we needed repairs again. What we really needed was a roof replacement, but our lousy insurance company would not go for it.
At this point, Malachi Griggs just happened to be going through the neighborhood, leaving info on BCR at our door. This introduction to BCR lead to a 9 month battle with our insurance company. Malachi went above and beyond the call of duty to fight for our roof replacement. He stayed with us all along the way, calling us, checking with the insurance company, taking shingles off our roof and mailing them acroos country to have them analyzed... I mean, he did everything he could to help us.
In the end, we lost the battle. However, Malachi then did what he could to lower the cost of the roofing and gave us the best quality of shingle along with the best warranty. We really can't say enough about this young man and Best Choice Roofing. We were taken care of as if we were family!

I met Mr Hayden Brown of Best Choice Roofing on a hot summer day, he very courteous young man, that I allowed to come inside and have a popsicle with me. We spoke a few more times. I did have a couple more estimates which were not to my liking. Then the weather interfered with the installation twice, I was kept informed. My installation day came with a little very cold rain that morning, but that did not stop the workers. They did it all in one day! I walked around as they we leaving, everything looked so good my neighbors even admitted how good. I heard from Mr Brown the next day making sure I was satisfied with the work done. I was referred to Best Choice Roofing by a family member, and contacted Ryan King who was able to meet with me the same day. Ryan was extremely helpful, providing information and assisting me with all the steps needed to move forward with my roofing project. The roofing material was delivered and inventoried prior to the install date. A crew arrived early, put tarps out and removed the existing roof. There were several areas of decking with dry rot that needed to be replaced and I was kept informed as the job proceeded. My house is relatively small and the work was completed the same day. All the debris was picked up and removed. A quality inspection was done and I signed a certificate of completion. We had a great experience with BCR to have our roof replaced. John Swope was my primary representative and went above and beyond working with my insurance company. My claim was originally denied and thanks to John working with the insurance company, we were eventually approved for a full roof replacement.

Robert Harris was an exceptional advocate throughout our roofing process. When the insurance company tried every trick in the book by dragging their feet, downplaying the damage, and claiming the roof was repairable Robert did not flinch and stood firm. He used his extensive knowledge and expertise to document the issues thoroughly, challenging every unfounded excuse the insurance threw at us. The job was done great for the roof. However, I am in a wheelchair and if you have anything in your yard, expected to be placed on your porch and never put back in place. I am in a wheelchair And have to go around putting everything back. Also, they broken antenna on a car and offered 50 bucks. I have to put my car in the shop for it to be fixed. They did offer to pay the invoice now but It’s your time your effort that gets disrupted by now having to put a car in the shop. If you’re just wanting a good roof, they did great however, if you’re looking for things to be put back the way they were or undamaged probably wouldn’t go with this company. They were very prompt on returning to my house and saying they were done fixing the things nothing was fixed correctly. Very poorly DO NOT USE

BCR was a tremendous help in assisting with an insurance claim for hail damage. Greg Grondin came out and inspected the roof, took photos of the damage, and coordinated with the adjuster to streamline the claim approval. He followed up multiple times prior to the crew arriving to ensure everything was in order. The installers did a great job and completed everything in 1 day, and the new roof looks awesome. I highly recommend BCR based on my experience.

From first contact the thoughtful care that was taken to bring about my full roof repair was a lot of back and forth and knew the ins and outs to have the insurance to cover it. They also made sure I felt apart of the entire process.

To be honest, the best choice would be to choose someone
else for your roofing needs. We reached out to multiple
companies for quotes. The salesperson for Best Choice sold us on
their quality, the type of roof they were going to install, and the
price which was in the middle range of the quotes that we
received. After all three parties (us, the salesperson, and their
boss) signed the contract, we scheduled out the replacement by 6
weeks. They were scheduled to drop off the roof supplies a couple
days before the roof replacement. On the delivery day, they only
brought a few of the materials. Then on the day they were
supposed to start replacing the roof, no one showed up. We called
and pretty much got the run-around and got excuses. We set up a
new installation date. They called on the new installation date and
cancelled the entire contract that we had all signed. They could
not find anyone to do the work. They told us they bid the job too
low and there is not enough money in the bid for a contractor to
take the job. It appears Best Choice does not do their own work.
They bid jobs and then sell the contracts to contractors/other
businesses. They bid the job so low that no other company
wanted to touch it. We looked into the contract and discussed it
with a lawyer. We decided to accept our down payment back
instead of forcing them to do the repair. We could not trust that a
quality job would be performed since they would have been ​
forced into honoring their bid. We also noticed the contract had
conflicting information about the warranty. The documented
warranty in the contract was less than what their website and
salesperson stated it would be. They talk a good game, but that is
about it. Find someone local to support instead.

BCR did a great job on our roof. Crew was quick and left the job site as it was when they got there. Finished the entire roof in one day. Dillon Parsh was very helpful through the whole process. Would recommend.
