In our opinion you get what you pay for in roofing. In the Fall of 2024 we conducted an extensive review of roofers in the Harrison NY area and received 8 proposals. The range of the least expensive bid compared to the highest bid for the job was over $10,000. The quality of the proposals was all over the map.

We narrowed down the list to five vendors that we deemed the most qualified. Generally, the owner of four of the five finalists went up on our roof and took measurements. The vendor we ultimately selected used a drone to complete the analysis of our roof and took extensive videos and pictures.

Sometimes there is a good reason why you receive a lowball bid! In the course of our review of the five finalists we learned that one of our lowest cost bidders was no longer a licensed roofer in Westchester County. If you don't ask a lot of questions you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

We then started asking detailed questions including: 1) insurance for their people on our roof and any damage to our house that is caused by the roofers or injuries suffered by the roofers (i.e. falling off our roof), 2) extent of the warranty that we could expect, 3) number and types of roofs that the team that would work on our roof had worked on in the last year, 4) quality of the type of materials, 5) whether they were a licensed roofer, 6) timing of the start of the job, 7) size of team and time required, 8) importance of ventilation of the roof and how they would handle it, 9) how they would handle parts of our roof that might be more damaged than they expected, 10) does their proposal include the roof for our separate car garage in back of our house, 11) whether their bid includes copper flashing for our chimney, 12) would they replace the current roof or just put the new roof over it.

We chose Best Choice Roofing after this extensive vendor review and we have been delighted with our choice. From start to finish Best Choice Roofing set themselves apart in terms of quality. They came back repeatedly after the initial sales call to talk about all of the issues that we raised after reviewing their marketing materials which were very good.

We paid a fair price that was in the middle of the range of bids received. Why? Best Choice Roofing had the best answers to all of the hard questions listed above that made us comfortable that we would not have to revisit our roof anytime soon. We could have paid another vendor less but my wife and I were convinced that we would get what we paid for. We would get a vendor that cut corners on hard issues that made the job cheaper but less certain to last. My wife and I are committed to remain in our house forever! Furthermore, when you factor in the extensive warranty that we received from Best Choice Roofing versus the questionable warranties and much more time limited warranties offered by others we believe that we paid the right price.

In conclusion we highly recommend Best Choice Roofing. The owner Omer Ibrahim and Mike Demo, his sales guy, who happens to be an ex-Marine - for those of you who care, are professionals that you can count on to do the right thing when it comes to replacing your roof.

The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL . They called back in a timely fashion. They answered all my questions. They knew what they were talking about. The only thing that was slow was the permits, but it had nothing to do with the company. It’s basically upon the town that you live in and Connecticut is slow with everything but Best Choice Roofing company is astonishing with every single thing that they do!! I am mostly happy with how they showed up earlier than expected the job was done, sufficiently, they explained every single thing in full detail of what they were going to do and they left their work area clean. It wasn’t a work hazard. Truly happy with the experience that I had. I definitely recommend, and I will be calling them back to utilize other things for my home that needs fixing as well.

Delivered exactly as promised. Wish all construction companies were like Best Choice. Clear quoting process, excellent communication, stuck to the timeline, professional team, etc. Can go on, but you should prob just hire them and avoid nightmares elsewhere.

They specialize in insurance claims, which is what we needed help with. Their support throughout the whole process cut short the timeline by at least 2 weeks. Our roof has intricate edges due to its shape and required specialized labor. The final product was fantastic; surpassed my expectations. Great service all around!!
