We had to have a section of our roof replaced a few weeks ago. The office lady Jessica, was responsive and easy to work with. She knew our needs and quickly provided a repair crew that did a quality job in short order. It was an easy process and the work and cleanup was done quickly. I'm impressed.

The Roof Doctor of Tacoma responded quickly with a re-roofing estimate & was quick to answer my many questions regarding product & service. They were also willing to fulfill specific requests I had. All this at a competitive cost.
To my amazement the job was done in a day including clean-up. Would have never known they were there except for the beautiful food left behind.

Roof Doctor put on a new roof for us this past summer. The process was simple and the sale was the least fussy but still informative. Their price was one of the two most reasonable and included gutters. They removed an old chimney and replaced any boards (plywood, ship lap, beadboard) that need replacing. Also, they added vents to our roof, which has helped in keeping the upstairs cooler in this 1920's house. Work was complete in a day.

They did a wonderful job! Reasonable price. The roof looks great. They even cleaned up all the debris from the balcony, stairs and driveway. I highly recommend them for all your roofing needs.

The Roof Doctor crew cleaned and repaired my tile roof. The price is reasonable, the scheduling process smooth, and the workmanship superior. The workers began early in the morning, worked late into the day, and cleaned up all the debris. They were courteous and friendly, respectful of our property and did an excellent job. Had Davey with roof doctor in Tacoma come out and redo my entire roof sometime ago. They did an excellent job and were done by midday.

Sales guy david was very kind. He helped me with roof suggestions regarding repair or partial replacement. Very transparent and didn't try to over sale me. service was great.

We called when our roof started leaking. When they started tearing off the roof, we realized the extent of the damage. They took photos and ALL the trusses were rotted and ALL of the plywood was rotted and had to be replaced. They did a great job and they completed it in ONE DAY. If I could give them a 10, I would.

I have used this company for several years now and have spent thousands on roof repairs. The initial repair they did for me was very good and communication was adequate. Subsequent repairs were adequate, but communication was poor, often ending with an invoice with little or no discussion of what they found. The last time they did a patch on the roof the cost was over $1,800. Needing another repair, I used their contact page three times over a week and got 2 responses, both saying that someone would contact me shortly regarding the leak. I never heard back from them. This was for a commercial building with a flat roof.

Tyson and team worked efficiently and provided all services in a professional and timely manner. We are so grateful for their skills and our new roof.

We had been quoted upwards of $30,000 for our roof by a well-known roofing company here in the Pacific Northwest. It was way out of our price range even with financing. Our realtor actually suggested The Roof Doctor. We are glad she did. They were provided us with what we needed at a much better price! The workers were quick and efficient and delivered what Tyson had promised. Would recommend them to anyone.

They were prompt, polite, and the bid was fair. The only reason for 4 stars is that they damaged one of our plants

Needed a roof replaced quickly in order to close on the sale of a home. They were out much faster than expected and had the job done before lunch!

Getting a new roof is not only stressful but expensive. The roof doctor was the calm in the storm. They provided a great estimate, they communicated perfectly and then performed the work flawless. They were on time, walked us through the repairs we needed and then re roofed the house all in 8 hours! They could see the issues we had prior to getting on the roof and now it is day and night with the new roof! Use the roof doctor I could not be happier with the work, price and professionalism!

I am very pleased that I went with the Roof Doctor to replace my roof. They were not the cheapest nor the most expensive but was the best value for quality. A few of the things that made me choose them over the others is length of time in business, use of Malarkey shingles. BBB rating, great Google reviews and David Cha. David was professional and courteous while explaining everything. When it was time to do the work David called the day before and the crew arrived exactly when they said they would. The roof was tore off, repaired and a new roof put up in a single day. The crew picked up all the trash when they were done.
There were a couple of things that I did mention to David when I paid the balance the next day after I had a chance to inspect the work. I have 3 solar tubes that needed to be removed to put the new roof on. All have debris inside making it unsightly. The largest in my entryway also cracked the drywall around the base . I will need to have that cleaned and repaired. I also found around a dozen roofing nails in the driveway . With that said it took me 3 passes to find those and when the guys left it was getting dark. All in all I am pretty happy with the job Roof Doctor did and would recommend them.

I needed my roof replaced, and had never done anything like this before. My brother-in-law recommended them; he had worked for them many many years ago. I looked at them online, and they have an excellent BBB rating and have been in business for over 50 years. I called and made an appointment for the same week. Tyson came out and answered all my questions in a professional and friendly manner. After getting multiple other bids, I still came back to Roof Doctor, which had the best price, and excellent customer service. They answered my phone calls every time, and even tried to give me a discount on my work permit when the City of Lakewood tried to assess it for more than they were charging. My roof looks great, and I will be much happier going into this winter without any leak worries.

roof doctor did an amazing job on our roof. very professional got done start to finish with having to resheet the whole roof in just one day. no mess left behind. and most certianly had all the right equipment for the job. great job roof doctor.

The Roof Doctor did a great job on my roof. I'm very pleased with the result. The communication was a little sparse prior to them showing up to roof the house, but it's been a busy season for roofing. Once they arrived, they got right to work, did a beautiful job, and I love the way the house looks!

One small critique I would give is that I followed up with a question a few weeks later and have yet to get a call back on it. I ended up resolving the issue on my own, so it is not relevant now, but was a little disappointed in the lack of communication from the admin team.

They roofed my house 4 years ago. I shopped around and got multiple bids for the job before I picked them. They had the best price and I was very happy with the work they did. Last month, I contacted them to put a new roof on my garage. This time I never called any other roofer because the bid for the garage was what I expected it would be and I knew I could trust this company.

I’ve owned my home for 10 years and had my first roof leak. My mom said call the Roof Doctor, they’re the only company I use! Turns out moms are pretty smart cuz the whole experience was MUCH less stressful than I thought it would be. I’m definitely sticking with the family tradition for my roofing needs!

The technician came out on short notice, and was able to pinpoint the source of a leak within minutes. Definitely recommend them.

Buyer beware! If I could I would give the Roof Doctor a "0". About 7 years ago we had the Roof Doctor of Tacoma replace our roof and add a ridge vent on our 1 1/2 story, 29 year old home in Gig Harbor, WA. About a year ago we noticed mold in our attics. We contacted the Tacoma office of the Roof Doctor and the manager came out to assess the situation.
He climbed a ladder and looked into our attic above our garage. He didn't even go into the attic. He said he could tell instantly what they did wrong. They did not block the gable vents and also the ridge vents were not cut wide enough.
These two mistakes caused poor ventilation in the attics which eventually created the mold issue. He said they would replace our roof AND pay to have a mold remediation company fog the attics to kill the mold. We thought, how great, they admit their mistakes and they will fix it.
Then later, after months of being put off and ignored by them, they changed their tune. They would pay for either the roof replacement OR the remediation and we would be responsible for the cost of the other. Why should we be responsible for their errors?
They have created an unhealthy situation in our home and we had to destroy mold damaged items stored in the attic including over 45 years of Christmas decorations.
They actually have a written 10 year guarantee of workmanship on our invoice?! They do shoddy work and do not stand behind their guarantee or workmanship even when they fully admit that they caused the mold problem!

We had the best experience with Roof Doctor we had issues with our roof which we replaced 3 times since 2004 Roof Doctor was the only ones to figure out what was wrong and get it fixed! Thank you for your professionalism! We highly recommended them!

Our roof was leaking and contacted The Roof Doctor to fix it. They arrived on time, followed all safety measures, worked fast and clean.They showed me where the main problem was and explained to me why the roof was leaking and how they were gonna fix it. We are very satisfied with their work and will have them in mind for any other repair we may need in the future.

Chris Lutman was extremely knowledgeable and delivered on everything he promised in the quote. Tom Hall was the on-site foreman and he was super involved in making sure all the work was done correctly. They started at 7:30 and finished the entire project by 5:30 same day. The crew cleaned up the whole work site area and left our yard looking better than when they started. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

A friend referred us to Roof Doctor and we couldn't be happier. The team was here on time, worked throughout the day, was careful to keep the noise down, they were professional, thorough, and polite. When we had a break in the weather, The crew came just before sunrise and finish just before sunset. Including an excellent job of clean up all around the house before leaving. look great and we are so thankful to them for a job well done.

40 year roof installed, using the synthetic Gator Skin as the underlayment. These guys came exactly as scheduled, finished our complicated roof in a day and a half and left it SUPER CLEANED-UP all around the house. Fun crew to deal with. Thanks to David Cha and the crew, led by Shane and Carlos.

I just had to give a shout out to the Roof Doctor. We didn't have the money to replace our roof until this year, and he helped keep us dry until we could. When he finally couldn't do much more, he was honest and very nice about it...frankly, I think we were tough customers and he did his best by us.

Unlike the other reviewer, I found Roof Dr's prices very reasonable for the care, service and quality. Frankly, we found his prices competitive. And it's our primary residence, so we care about quality.

I recommend him highly and hope he sees this review so he knows how much his work was appreciated!

First, this review is based on value, not professionalism. If it was based on the professional level of service, it would get an excellent rating. If cost is no object, I have no qualms in recommending them.

I had a rental house that was leaking water on a particularly wet rainy period (this is the Puget Sound after all!) and called The Roof Doctor to help. The estimator came out and suggested a temporary repair until a drier period came along to do a whole roof replacement. This is a flat roof with a torched asphalt roof. He sent out a couple of guys and they patched it that day while it rained. So far so good.

The bill came to $480 plus tax (about $525 total). Considering the two people working on the roof spent just under an hour doing the work and simple materials involved, where are the costs to justify a $525 bill? Throw in some transit time (they are ten minutes from the shop), prep time, office overhead - how does less than $200 in costs translate into the cost of this job? I'm sorry, that is excessive. On a rainy day, I was willing to pay to have emergency work done, but this is a big premium for being in a desperate situation.

Now, they do say that half of that temporary repair cost will go towards a $9000 roof replacement, but I don't like doing business that way. I might not use them and then it amounts to no benefit. If you don't mind that kind of deal, they do good work. But, I'd shop around for a better deal if I were you.
