When my Mother asked me to find her a roofing contractor to install a new roof, I spent hours doing online research and narrowed the field to 4 contractors. DHT Roofing was at the top of the list from the beginning based on 5 star reviews, high ranking with the BBB and Angie's list and years in business. Curtis Thompson, the owner, spent a lot of time on the phone discussing what we wanted in a new roof and was obviously knowledgeable. His bid offered the best value of the 4 bids I took. They started on the Monday he said and were done by that Thursday. I'm glad we used the Malarkey shingles and underlayment he recommended. The roof looks beautiful. Curtis does a great job of telling you what is going to happen and when, then keeping you posted. The team on the roof is efficient and quiet, no loud music or noise. Plantings well protected and cleanup is thorough and frequent. No “leftovers” at the end of each day. Highly recommended team.

I am very pleased DHT roofing was able schedule my small job of repairing a leaking blind valley into their busy summer season. Generous time was given for a site visit along with good communication. The crew was courteous, professional, fast and all for quite a reasonable cost. Not one but two membrane layers under the shingles! DHT is tops when it comes to protecting a roof.

I recently had DHT construction redo my roof. Total cost of the project was about $41k. My roof is pretty large and also has a few low-slope sections that needed to be handled specially.

The bid came in higher than the other company I contacted, but I was impressed with Curtis' attention to detail when he surveyed the house to make the plan. He went over all the parts of the roof and asked a lot of questions. He found a bunch of things up front that he knew would have to be fixed along with the roof itself.

So when going into the project we had a decent idea of the cost and an understanding of the kind of extra costs that might be incurred. We also talked about the process itself and discussed where trailers could be parked, etc..

It turns out there was a severe lack of ventilation under the previous roof and a lot of warped plywood that had to be replaced, so the cost raised up to that $41k. The team was able to get the extra materials and do the unplanned work in a couple more days.

The area was cleaned up well. There was just one decoration of ours that was damaged at some point, but Curtis immediately comped me the cost of it (actually more than our stated value), so they more than made it right.

All in all, although the cost was more than I expected, I think the attention to detail and excellent execution and result would lead me to hire them again for other work.

I had my roof and gutters replaced. The job was completed as agreed without any problems. The workers were courteous and kept the job site clean. They were flexible in accommodating a few requests.

I certainly recommend DHT, the owner Curtis is exceptionally in construction work and exceptional in communicating the project work.

I have done business with Curtis and his team a few times now. They are efficient, thorough, and take the time to understand your needs and how to meet them. In this last service it was to repair and/or replace gutters that were not standing up to use. They went above and beyond, doing more than was required. Ron Baker did a great job, pointed out potential problems, rectified a few issues that could become problems and insured that when he was done the roof and gutters were in excellent working order. I will use DHT Construction and Roofing again and in particular I would recommend them and especially Ron.

Appreciated Curtis getting to the root cause of the problem in our house with condensation and mold growing in our attic. Extreme attention to detail and much research was done to solve the problem. Out of all the roofers we received estimates from, DHT Construction came up with a unique solution. Curtis himself came to our house during the work numerous times to track progress. The crew was a pleasure, and we’re very thorough at the end of each night making sure there was no nails in our driveway an cleaned up their material, so none of our dogs got in the material. I had 3 roofing companies come out to my home. DHT construction and Roofing (5 star service) came out and did a thorough inspection. What he provided was very thoughtful information; the other 2 roofing companies did not even provide the same information what DHT in serving my roof. Not only that, DHT owner Curtis did the inspection and sat me down and explained it to me in a very simple way that I could understand how the roof to my home would look when replaced and the materials used. I didn’t tell DHT anything about the other estimate $ costs. When he showed me the cost and what is actually needed to replace my roof and make sure it’s certified per specification. I did not hesitate I choose DHT Construction and Roofing to do the job! A few homes in my community HOA roofs were recently replaced and they look nothing like what was done to my home. I’m telling you DHT knows their business when it comes to replacing your roof. I had 2 other companies come out and they did not provide anything near what DHT PROVIDES to replace my roof. DHT has an excellent crew that cleaned up everyday after themselves. In April or sooner I’m going to have them replace my gutters as well. It wasn’t the cost that made me choose DHT Construction and Roofing it was the quality and thoroughness they provided.

While getting a new roof is noisy/costly, the DHT crew did their best to minimize the noise & intrusion, & managed to put up a really nice roof!

Roof work was well planned and Curtis and the crew adapted well to what they found under the old roofing material. Roofing crew did a great job of cleaning up each day. Gutter crew left things a bit messy and needed a 2nd visit to get things right.

Curtis and his crew did a great job replacing our roof and gutters. He was great at explaining the different options that would best fit our specific roof. He was the only one we contacted who went emphasized the importance of attic venting as well as replacing rotten fascia board. The total cost was comparable to the lowest bids we received from other roofers (which lacked the same emphasis on some of those details). The crew replaced the roof on time and the communication with them was very good throughout (when they would arrive each day, which fascia boards needed to be replaced or trimmed back, which sheets of plywood needed to be replaced, etc). The cleanup of our yard and driveway was very thorough as well. The gutter work was done about a month later through another family owned business called “Above The Rest Gutters” and they did a good job as well.

We just had our new roof completed and our home looks new and it’s 70 years old. We are so pleased. We had used DHT for the reroof of our garage, we were pleased and reached out to Curtis for a quote on the house. We chose the highest quality suggestion and went with new gutters and covers as well. I believe a neighbor is going to use their services as I saw him at their home yesterday and he asked questions after ours was completed. Not only was the work assume, but the workers were incredible, professional and very personal, and I mean all of them. Best experience ever.

I had a leak in my bathroom ceiling caused by a cracked plastic vent. The previous contractor had said it was repaired (twice). Nope new drywall and insulation on ceiling ruined! DHT (Curtis and Cristian)replaced it with a metal vent and put new shingles around it. While up there I had the boot around the electric feed pole replaced. All was done quickly and professionally with no mess left for me to clean and you cannot even tell there was a repair! I was an extremely frustrated customer after months of dealing with the problem but Curtis listened and understood my frustration and made me confident that it was fixed. So today after the first good rain I can say NO LEAK! Yeah! Would I hire them again? Absolutely!

We reached out to them for a leak we had and had to have the vents replaced on our roof. Very professional, punctual and a pleasure to work with. Curtis was amazing, kind and even showed us the work he did with pictures. I would recommend them to anyone.

Loved the systems and how the finished roof turned out... But not super stoked on the gutter work. The reinforcements are sloppy and will be difficult to paint and work with (different types of wood, different lengths). Curtis is great to work with but needs a better gutter team. Would still recommend!

SO glad I went with DHT! I have an old house with a steep roof and this was my first major purchase/repair, all of which made me extra anxious to choose the right company for the job. When meeting Curtis, he told me that DHT had actually done my neighbor's roof so I was able to see their work firsthand, as well as get a recommendation from a more seasoned homeowner to go with DHT. All around great! The crew was communicative, quick, respectful, etc. I don't often look at my roof but seeing how it looks now (vented, properly installed) vs what it was before, made me realize just how important this investment was. Maybe it's just because it's my own house but this is the first time I've looked at a roof and thought "wow, that looks really good!". We had damage to our roof due to high winds. DHT came to the rescue AGAIN! Sure wish they had installed the roof. What they have done is repaired another’s work, yet again. They also secured my gutters this time. So thankful for Curtis and his team!

Curtis assess our roof leak and gave us a reasonable bid to repair the issues (DHT did not install the roof). When all work was completed, he modified the bill to reflect using fewer materials, and LOWERED the invoice. I share this to demonstrate the honesty and integrity of this company, which is often hard to find. Thanks Curtis and crew!

I had a leak repaired around my skylight. I have cement title and had it repaired 2 years ago by another roofer and it began to leak again. I found out that is was not repaired correctly.

Thanks to Curtis for answering my call on an especially rainy weekend and our roof was leaking! He inspected the roof, gave us instructions on how to tarp the area until it could be repaired and connected us with a chimney professional to get the issue solved completely.

First of all we were referred to DHT and they did not disappoint. Very professional customer friendly... Locally owned. They replaced all of our roof vents that were in need especially after the big rain storm and got it done in the first clear day.

Curtis, the owner was professional, honest, and a genuine good guy. He responded quickly, had great follow through and the work was completed above reproach. We appreciated the pictures and his attention to detail.

They use state of the art supplies and showed samples of everything giving an explanation of how they work together for a strong 50 year roof. We watched the entire process from our neighbors living room. We watched the teardown of the existing roof and the building of the new roof . We watched every layer go into place. They did exactly as promised working a normal daily routine and sticking to the schedule. They arrived at the same time every day and ended the work day 8 hours later. Our property was respected during the process without damage to the structure or the landscaping. The crew was quiet and professional. No argument, music, cursing or yelling. Just the typical noise of construction.
12 years later the only issue we had was a worn out seal on a Solaratube which they replaced.
We continue to recommended DHT to friends and neighbors. We are pleased with our investment and happy with the outstanding results.

Had a leak in tile roof. DHT came within 24 hours, quickly found the leak and repaired it. They advised us on what had happened and what measures we may need to consider in the next year. Very satisfied and will use DHT in the future.

Follow-up:
In 2020, Curtis inspected a bad skylight and found others that were soon to fail. As soon as all skylights arrived, his crew got on the job and completed it very efficiently. Also used our input on at one tricky application to preserve original custom cedar interior trim.
