If you value your peace, time, and money, don't answer the door for this company!!
This company is so aggressive, do yourself a favor and don't even open the door or answer the phone when they call. We had someone come by, knocking on doors in our neighborhood and I mistakenly asked for a quote and made an appointment for the following day. Maybe I'm naive but I've never had this experience with a company.
Two guys showed up at our house. One was pretty quiet but respectfully answered questions we had. The other was aggressive and used a lot of obvious sales tactics with us. We just wanted a quote for our garage roof and they were at our house for over 2 hours talking in circles.
We repeatedly asked them to just give us the quote but they insisted on going through a step by step and very detailed presentation about what our roof needs, who they are as a company, and why their material is better than others. That's all fine and dandy had we wanted that but they consistently ignored our request to talk about the price until we had been there for at least an hour and a half. They even asked to come into our home multiple times to make the sales pitch (my words, not theirs) and we told them no, we can talk outside (please note this was not a super cold day - we aren't monsters and we were outside with them).
When we Finally got to talking about the price, it was pretty high but I'm no roofer, so what do I know. We told them we had to think it over, as we have some pretty big medical stuff coming up and we needed to figure out general costs for that before we signed anything. They had to call their boss three times and were able to magically lower the cost from about $25,000 to $15,000, as long as we signed everything that day! Again, I'm no professional roofer but it seems fishy to me that they can lower the cost by $10,000 and makes me wonder how much they are overcharging people.
They Finally agreed to let us think on it and we told them we would call back once we learn more about the medical bills. Before they would leave though, they wanted my husband and I to leave a quick review for a competition they had going on with another office. I asked what site to pull up so I could leave the review with some privacy but the one salesman insisted that I do it then and wanted my phone to pull it up himself. He put in the five stars himself and I typed up something really quick to get them to finally leave (I am updating that review now). One thing to note was that they highlighted all the Great Reviews they had as a company and I have a feeling it's because they pull this aggressive crap and pressure you to leave the review in front of them. I wonder how many of them are honest reviews.
Since that estimate, I've had repeated calls from their company, each a different person asking to have someone else come out to talk about the estimate and how they can bring the price down and find something that works for us. I have repeatedly told them the same thing, we Have to wait until I figure out what the medical bills are going to look like. Each time they say they will note that and wait for us to call, only to have them call back a few hours later. The last lady I talked to denied me speaking to a supervisor (I sound like a Karen, I know) to discuss the behaviors of the salesman at my home (there's more I'm not saying) and all she said was that she would put us on the do-not-call list and ended the call.
If you value your peace, time, and money, don't answer the door for this company!! Maybe I'm naive but I never expected this sort of behavior from a company that is supposedly family friendly and as caring as they say they are.
Since starting to edit this review, they have also started texting me to ask for reviews on other sites. I guess that do-not-call list applies only to phone calls. Regardless of pricing and quality of work, we will not be going with this company based on their aggressive and harassing sales tactics.
