I knew spray foam was a superior option for insulation, but until I came across this web site, I didn’t know about open cell vs closed cell..
The closed cell option would be preferred, because, while also providing insulation from the outside elements, I hadn’t even considered how it also blocks out moisture and prevents mold growth and it even has sound proofing benefits.
I’m at the very start of this project, but I already feel like I have a better understanding and I won’t hesitate to call them again, in the very near future, when I’m ready. They will be my first choice.
