Buffalo Restoration

This is a response to my tenant's review below, by Linnea Cratty. I am the property owner of the house, and I am satisfied with Buffalo Restoration's work. They showed professionalism and stuck with me through a rebuild job that brought about a slew of complications and challenges that were beyond all of our control. The gas leak was an issue that Buffalo Restoration solved IMMEDIATELY. In hindsight I realize that I should have terminated my lease with my tenants instead of allowing them to live there for free during the rebuild.
Everyone in the office is courteous and helpful. The project managers are accessible 24/7. Their teams helped me through a challenging mess that I could never have managed without them.

Do not choose buffalo restoration!!! I am a renter and they managed the renovation of my house. They have screwed up time and time again. They were not reliable, didn’t answer our calls, and we were out of our house for 5 months longer than they told us. Worst of all, every reinstallation that they did was done wrong. This resulted in a month long gas leak in our home because the technician failed to install our stove correctly. They used the wrong fittings and didn’t even bother to tighten them enough. If we didn’t catch it our house could have blown up, not to mention the health risk of a month long gas leak.

I called Buffalo Restoration after I received 2 referrals, one from a former employee and one from a past customer. I unfortunately had a lot of water damage from the unit upstairs. They were prompt and professional with getting my unit looked at. Every company is going to have a few bumps in the road with parts, employees etc.from time to time and we all would like to be back in our homes as quickly as possible but I must say that I was very pleased with the work they did. The caring and professionalism of my contractor was over the top!! They guarantee all of their work and the response time was stellar. I highly recommend Buffalo Restoration and want to give a special thank you to my contractor Brian who went above and beyond and was very approceable and respectful. I'm so grateful to be back in my home and glad that I called Restoration to do the job. Thank you!

What an absolute Trainwreck. As a contractor in the valley of five years with long time repeat customers, when buffalo has a problem with a job, they will make it YOUR problem.

I signed up to bail them out (again) after two other construction companies walked off the job. The scope of work they had left was admitted by the company to be pretty nebulous, and the second project manager was cleaning up after another project managers horrendous failures and shameful exit. The latter seemed perfectly willing to rob Peter to pay Paul, made suggestions to cheapen the materials and move money around to pay for other remodel type projects. In the end the customer had enough in the end and kicked them off the job.

Because the paperwork they provided me was "nebulous" and I worked much of the time off scope at the project managers request, they decided to only pay based on the documents, and refused to discuss any of the other work that was expressly requested. They refused to pay for materials on the project that they failed, and I had tools walk off the job site that only Buffalo and I had access to. Even the final amount that was paid based on the subcontract agreement document was horrifically inaccurate, and they paid out on work that was NOT complete by my company and refused to look at work that was. The documents themselves were wildly inaccurate, requesting work in areas on drywall and windows that had neither of those features in the actual building.

I wouldn't be so upset except Phil in management insinuated that my incomplete work cost them the job and insulted my integrity. Maybe it was the year long run around and under the table handshake deals they made to get around the insurance. Maybe it was the last minute decision making and clearing changes that the customer didn't like. Maybe it was waiting days or weeks to clear designs that I wanted then were not to code or physically possible. I'm sure somebody in the insurance industry would love to hear about Buffalo conducting work outside of the initial damage.

What a farce. What a joke. Contractor and customer beware.

I highly recommend Buffalo Restoration for their outstanding customer service. I called and got an immediate answer from Leslie in the office. She was very helpful and did a great job explaining the process. Within an hour, Primus and Lexi were at my home to inspect and give an estimate. They were very friendly and I enjoyed having them in my home. They did a great job of walking me through the process and explaining their findings as they went.

Buffalo is awesome. We had a flooded basement, and they came out at 11pm on a Saturday night to get mitigation started, and they took great care of us and got our home dried out. When it came time to make repairs, they were prompt and helpful as well. I want too especially thank Amy and Brian, who were SO patient and helpful in dealing with an absurdly long and painful insurance debacle (NEVER use Safeco/Liberty Mutual!!!). My wife was also going through cancer treatment at the time, and they were wonderful during a really difficult time. It made an enormous difference for us. Thank you Buffalo Restoration!

I did not realize companies like this still exist. Buffalo Restoration responded immediately to a leak in my crawl space. They ascertained that the space had low humidity, and water was rapidly receding on its on & suggested no need to mitigate. They made two separate trips to inspect & monitor my crawlspace & check for moisture buildup. I just got the all clear & was informed "no charge" & they are refunding my deposit in total because no actual mitigation was required. I spoke to two different technicians at length peppering them with questions & getting benefit of their experience as they were on site monitoring. Incredible customer service & professionalism.

Our outside faucet froze and ended up spraying water in our basement. Buffalo Restoration came out and eased our stress and anxiety about the damage and repair work. Their technicians were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I couldn’t have asked for a better local company when we needed the help. I highly recommend Buffalo Restoration!

Randy just cleaned my carpets and my couch, and did an amazing job! He is also a very nice man who cares about what he does. It was a great experience!

They took out a perfectly good wall. The scope of work given to workers was different than mine. Then tried to charge me for full amount of job. So thankful it’s on my Amex. Have since heard from two other people we know that they have done this to as well. I am still trying to figure out if it’s incompetence, fraud or maybe a little bit of both. Use at your own risk!

I am so grateful for the quick response my flooded living room and basement received by David and Randall. What began as a horror story personally, ended with professional treatment and some peace of mind. Thank you guys!.

"We already have recommended BR to several friends. We cannot thank the staff of BR enough for how quickly they came to begin the remediation process of water damage in our home...within 1/2 day of our emergency call. The staff were knowledgable, safety minded, friendly, helpful, great with communication and did a 5 star job in riding our affected room of moisture so repairs could begin. We so appreciated having a storage cube supplied as we had to completely empty the damaged room of everything. The Foreman, Gabe Lemieux, was outstanding in overseeing the project from beginning to end, in communicating with us, and expeditious in getting us whatever help or answers we needed."

I used Buffalo Restoration for both water leak remediation and repair for a pipe break at my condo in Big Sky . The remediation team did a very good job of getting the water damaged materials out and drying the area. I was present for the all the repairs, so I can speak to my firsthand experience. Glen was excellent as the repair supervisor. He was a good communicator and was always willing to roll up his sleeves and get things sorted. The subs for the repair were very good with the exception of the drywall hangers. All of the other subs were highly skilled and clearly worked very hard to do a good job. They were also very personable and reliable. In short, I don't know how I would have gotten my condo back to peak condition without Buffalo.

I had not even received an invoice yet BR was quick to file a construction lien for mitigation work. They were respectively slow in processing a lien release once I paid in full. I would not recommend using them since they don't seem to understand condominium associations vs. individual ownership.

These guys are great! Nick came out to check my mom's house for mold and didn't charge a penny!... and there was no mold... so that's good

Guys were great and they appeared to clean the dryer vent well. I do wonder about paying $150.00 for, tops, 30 minutes of work. Oh well.

This company is deplorable. I have never seen or heard of anything like it. Not only have you harrassed me for six years for a bill that you know that I do not owe; the owners son yelled at me on the phone to threaten and intimidate me. I had to ask him three times to stop yelling at me. Every single "document" they produced which was very little was either altered or created by you after I disputed the debt. It's pretty simple to prove. I have never experienced a more dishonest buisness...ever. People and buisnesses in Montana do not treat people the way that you treated me or speak to single females the way you spoke to me trying to bully me. I have heard of a lot of people having bad experiences with this buisness, but it seems the only screaming has been at females. It was repulsive. I will never forget it. I would not reccomend your buisness to my worst enemy, not even yourselves. I am appalled that people like you have a buisness in my community. There is your review.

This company is amazing, we really were at a loss waking up to a flooded basement apartment but these folks were there to help and calm the head noise of frustration. We will definitely use them again!

I’m thankful for Buffalo Restoration. They quickly responded to our water damage in our kitchen. The only thing I wish would have happened is a quicker turn around time for the repairs, but with materials being backed up weeks, I know if they could have done it sooner they would have. It was great working with Logan, David, Caleb and Jesse from JM Quality Carpentry. I’m happy with the quality of service and final project that I got.

We had a kitchen flood a few days before I had my second baby. Buffalo Restoration was SO fast. Our kitchen (drywall, flooring, cabinets, etc) was torn out the day I went into labor....stressful! The folks we worked with were AMAZING and they all worked hard so that we could be back in our house as fast as possible. They are responsive, friendly, professional, and did excellent work!

Very professional, timely, available and patient and thorough with the work required and in answering my questions. They know their stuff and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Luckily, (knock on wood) I haven't had a property loss or damages but if I did the first business that pops into mind is Buffalo Restoration. I've spoke with Gabryelle Wilson a few times at networking events and she seems very bright and motivated. They also cool car wraps!

Every employee I interacted with at Buffalo Restoration was professional and honest. My upstair neighbors renovation caused their toilet to leak through my ceiling light fixture. I appreciate Buffalo Restoration for taking time out of their busy day to inspect our space and make sure we were ok. Thank you!

Buffalo Restoration responded quickly and efficiently when we had a water leak in our basement guest room. Each division of the organization was helpful in mitigating the water damage, repainting, drywall repair and installing new baseboards and window/door casings.

We have used Buffalo Restoration for a number of major issues in various properties that we manage. They have always been extremely responsive and thorough. Their team is always wonderful to work with.

Buffalo Restoration was solid from top to bottom. From the first call to the final report the entire process was seamless and professional. If you need mold mitigation of any kind, this is the only phone number to dial. I couldn't recommend the team any more highly.

When I moved in my condo 2 weeks ago, I had a terrible odor coming from my crawl space. Jean from Buffalo came out & didnt find any sewage leaks, but did remove a dead mouse. She told me to call her if it didnt get better. She came back this week and we agreed it was sewage. I asked my neighbor to let her check their unit - she immediately noticed the odor coming from their crawl space. Their plumber found a broken sewage pipe. The owner called Buffalo, who was out in 2 hours. Daniel pumped out sewage, removed vapor barrier. He offered to spray my crawl space when he sprayed anti- microdial in the other space. Both Jean & Daniel were the most helpful professionals I have ever met. I would recommend this company to everyone.

Received excellent service from the team at Buffalo Restoration. Staff were friendly and professional. Randall got our rug clean of all pet fur and odors, on-time, and within our budget.

Buffalo Restoration is a wonderful company. Every single person I interacted with was courteous, patient, and more than willing to help any way they could. We had water damage, and they came to inspect and start mitigation right away. They had to put heaters and dehumidifiers in the house, and it made it super hot. Not only did they explain everything and set it up in a way we could stay in the condo while they did it, but they took into account that I have a very large aquarium not involved in the water issue that could not be moved, and they took extra time and care to find a way to block the heat from hurting anything in the aquarium. On top of this, the folks in their billing department went above and beyond with helping me deal with my insurance company. If I could give 10 stars, I would, but sadly 5 is as high as the website allows. Highly recommend this company.

We had a guest flood one of our guest rooms that caused a waterfall in our dining room. Buffalo Restoration's mitigation team was top notch. From the dispatch to the estimator, to the crew and follow up. Enough can not be said about the professionalism, and attention to detail and expedited service. They were the highest level of care to our bed and breakfast and followed through on everything they said. We are extremely happy thus far. Now we are starting the second half of the work which is the restoration side. If the past has anything to tell, we will be writing another glowing review here shortly.

Buffalo Restoration responded to a leak at our home and did an excellent job in all respects. They are professional, responsive, and did work of the highest quality. We are completely satisfied and would use them again if needed. We highly recommend them.

Would never use anyone else!! Glenn and the whole team made our overwhelming aggravating situation manageable. The customer service and altogether care of our home was outstanding. Glenn went beyond to accommodate our family. Couldn't be more thankful and pleased with the outcome.

Buffalo was helpful, friendly and professional when we had a problem with mold in our house. We'll definitely use them again.

They showed up to clean ducts on our HRV and realized right away that it was a job that they couldn't do. They were courteous and best of all didn't try to do a job they weren't equipped to do. Later another team from Buffalo came and helped us look for options to solve our problem. In all a very good experience.

Started out great. Quickly became unprofessional and predatory. Their actual service staff is lovely. That's about the best praise I have for them. Tried to bill for closets they didn't even step foot in. Stopped returning calls. Went from helpful liaison with insurance to call-them-yourself-and-get-back-to-me. Wanted to be impressed, but ended up disappointed and victimized. Best advice: Scrutinize your bill!!

Needed some mold remediation in crawl space for a real estate transaction. Was doing this while out of town. Couldn't have been nicer to work with. They were able to get an estimator in to look at the scope of work within a few days. I explained the time line and they were able to schedule it for completion well before closing. The work they did was excellent.
Hope not to have to deal with any mold issues again but if I do I will be sure to call Buffalo Restoration again.

The whole experience from start to finish was very pleasant with Buffalo. The technicians who came to do the mitigation, the adjuster and everyone I spoke to were very pleasant and courteous. The work was done quickly and efficiently and I was very impressed with the cost and the quality.

The customer service was excellent, and the work they did was top notch. Both of the people who came to work on the house were professional, kind, and efficient. Johnny, one of the technicians, even came back later in the afternoon to explain face-to-face some anomalies in our venting system that needed to be addressed. Thanks guys!

All I can say about this some called team, is to watch out. I live in a older home in Bozeman, basicly on the MSU campus. Due to prior room mates having a complete lack of respect, two of the bath rooms needed attention on a level that would require a professional. And some how we got these guys. After almost two months of waiting after they visited the home, and did an initial check, we had not so much as revived a phone call. I my self have nearly 15 years Coverings experience putting me well in the the journeyman category, and after nearly two months, I had become fed up, and thinking it was the land lords not showing any common decency I called them one after noun. The bath room was basically un-usable, I personally would not have washed my dog its current condition. Cealrly the land lords and these guys must have had a good idea about the condition , and how unapealing it was on every aspect.
When gettintg ahold of the couple that rent us the house, I offered the deal of the century, Full bath room remodle, new grannet counters, new cabnits, High end stone for the floor, new lighting fixtures. for around 1200-1500. INSTALLED. The owns then cotact Buffuilo and ask if they can pull out of the contract on the down staris bath room. At the time, They where told "NO" due to some type of health codes that must be made sure clear before the new construction can begin. Day one, plastic is set up in the hall way.with a fan pushing air out of the bath room through a plastic tube and out side. and the removal of the vanity. Day two 3 panels of sheet rock removed, base board removed, bleach sprayed on walls. At this point I had about lost it, they had done less work in two days then your average house keeper does in a single bath room at your local Days in. Spots of the wall still heavily covered in mold, TOLIT still in, and the floor that had mostly been removed prior was left in the very small areas that had not been removed by my self last summer. At this point I had some question, " why can I visibly still see mold? why have you not removed the nales that where holding on the base board, they are just sticking out the wall ( I was told multiple times " we arnt done yet just hold on" ) they kept using the Word scope, as in "Its not in our scope." I asked where this list of things that must be taken care of before we can build in this area, they told me multiple times my land lord did not understand. or I my self did not understand. Yeah Im wrong sorry heres a few thousand bucks a lot of money to do less then sprinkling ajax would have done. I believe these guys to use words that inflict panic on the more common mind set of a young home owner, demand only they can do the work, do basically nothing and then wait for the check. These guys need to seriously be looked into, this is straight black mail with your own home.

I haven't had the chance to use their restoration services, but their mugs are AMAZING!!! Seriously, my kids fight over these. The wide handles can fit your whole hand with comfort and ease. If they put half as much effort into their services as they do into selecting their mugs, then you really have nothing to worry about.

Everyone we worked with was highly professional and courteous. Buffalo worked to get our job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Buffalo Restoration is a real class act. Not only do they get to the job immediately, but they do such a good job on the restoration and water damage, they prevent further harm to your home or business. I would always want them to do my work. Thorough, professional, courteous, and wonderful to work with. They are the best. Don't use anyone else.

I was out of town while the repairs where done and they kept me in the loop the entire time and everything turned out amazing. They were also very understanding about that fact that is was dealing with an insurance claim and worked with me to get everything resolved as quickly as possible.

We had significant water damage in a rental property. Buffalo did a great job with the mitigation AND the restoration. They were easy to work with, met their timelines, and most importantly to me, were good communicators throughout the project.

Buffalo Restoration is my go to for carpet cleaning, duct cleaning, and dryer vent cleaning. They are so professional and have outstanding customer service.

First of all I did not know that Buffalo Restoration provided a service of routine cleaning of carpet and tile. I was ready to call another carpet cleaning business that I have used in the past with great results; however my husband suggested we use Buffalo Restoration as we wanted to have our slate tile cleaned as well after some small remodeling projects that left our carpet and tile dusty. Randy did an awesome job. He arrived on time; provided his business card, explained the process, measured the space to be cleaned and provided the quote. Very professional.

Our neighbor thought we had a water leak when he saw the Buffalo Restoration van in our driveway as he wasn't aware that they provide routine carpet/tile cleaning as well. I'm so glad I am aware of this service now and would highly recommend Buffalo Restoration to anyone looking for a routine spring cleaning of carpet and/or tile in their home. I am editing my review today (06/03/19) because of an added service I had and I want to recognize Johnny and Brayden for the excellent job they did cleaning out my dryer vent on 5/31/19. They called me because they had a cancellation which worked out perfectly for my schedule to move my time up a day. They were both very professional and Johnny explained the procedure. It gives us peace of mind knowing what could be a fire hazard was taken care of so simply and easy with preventative care. I'm sure not too many folks think about having their dryer vent cleaned out on the outside as well as the inside. A reasonable cost and professionals who know what they are doing. You can't ask for more than that. Thanks Buffalo Restoration. We'll be having that done on a regular basis.
