All the staff from start to finish was great!!! The roof looks great and worker cleaned up yard excellent!!! They were cautious around my car port

Everything went well. It appears as though BCR has done a great job. I had a slight issue with the timeliness of the dumpster removal. Other than that everything seems to of went fine.

Best choice roofing did a great job. They answered all my questions clearly and kept me informed at every step of the way. The roof looks great and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards as well. Once they started installing the roof they had it done in the same day! I couldn't be happier and haven't had any problem since the roof's been installed.

I am highly dissatisfied with the services provided by Best Choice Roofing of East Detroit. Despite paying a deposit in good faith, the company failed to replace my roof by the promised date. To make matters worse, they have blatantly refused to return my deposit and are attempting to extort additional money by making bogus claims of breach of contract.

Their audacity reached a new level when they sent me an invoice for $750 for a tarp service. This charge is completely unjustified, as the issue reported was a leak in the dining room, yet they placed the tarp over the front enclosed porch—a completely unrelated area.

This entire experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I cannot recommend Best Choice Roofing of East Detroit to anyone looking for reliable, professional, and ethical roofing services. Avoid them at all costs!

Best Choice Roofing did a complete roof replacement on my house. Even replaced the wood to get me up to code. They took the time to work with my insurance. Johnathan my sale person was always available to answer my questions. Got the whole roof replaced before the rainy season and winter.

Michael Berry was our Storm Damage Analyst. He asked if he could do a 15-20 minute inspection on our roof. When he was done, he showed us pictures and a video of the damage he found. He then explained the process of helping us make claim for our roof to be replaced by our insurance company. We have had other companies come out to do a repair, and they would just try to sell us a roof. They never explained that we could make a claim. This company is the Best they were professional from start to finish. Our new roof looks great, and we will be recommending Best Choice Roofing to our friends and family

The only reason that this company gets a 2-star is because the installers did an excellent job. However, the customer service was horrible. Not only did they lie just to get the sale, but management is very unprofessional. They were attentive when they were trying to get the business, but after that, they didn't follow through with anything. I had to keep calling and complaining. They actually left the huge dumpster in my driveway for 5 days. I had to call my lawyer in order for them to move it. After the job was completed, my insurance company's representative told me that they were the worse company ever, but he couldn't say anything to me at the time when I had first filed the claim.

They tried to get me to pay for the job before the job was completed. But I called my insurance company and my mortgage company and they both told me not to pay a thing until they completed everything to my satisfaction. One of the managers actually asked me to go to Google and give them a good review before they had even started the work. I told him that I wouldn't be providing a review until the job was completed. They try to make you feel like they've done you a favor by giving you an estimate to file the claim. But there was no favor; they got paid. Just as any other roofing company would have.

They also played games with how they wrote up the contract. I was approved for a roof, gutters, and siding. However, they only wrote up the contract for the roof and gutters. Then, after the check was cut, they provided an absolute absurd estimate for the siding because they only wanted to do the roof/gutters. The insurance adjuster even told them that their estimate was absurd.

Before I had such a poor experience, I had referred my neighbor. If I had known about them prior, not only would I have not hired them, but I would've have never referred anyone. And speaking of referrals, I'm still waiting on the $250 that was promised for referring someone. So once again, not following through. If I don't hear from them soon, I will take action concerning the matter. Their reviews on other platforms are poor, and I know why.

I had the most fantastic experience with Best Choice Roofing. Very professional and thorough. A.J was my salesman and he was extremely knowledgeable and guided me through the entire process. A tornado went through my area and created considerable damage to my property and roof. He helped communicate with my insurance company and I was able to get a new roof minus my deductible. The workers were extremely professional and did a phenomenal job. I have yet to find a single nail. Their clean up was awesome and my roof looks amazing. The owner Felipe came onsite to introduce himself. He was so friendly and down to earth and an absolute pleasure to talk with.

You all have done a beautiful job on my grandmother’s roof and you all have done it very fast too, wonderful job.

One day a man came to our door asking about our roof, that has seen better days. This man's name was Wolf, and he was very thorough. He explained to us that our roof had a lot of hail damage, and he would like to start an insurance claim on us to get our roof replaced. I thought this was an impossibility, but we let him try. Best Choice roofing had within two weeks set us up to get a new roof, and it was covered 100% by insurance. To say we were jumping for joy is an understatement. Wolf and John came our house before the work began, and explained the whole process, and the estimates and insurance claim, to our satisfaction. We were involved in the whole process, and they answered all our questions and concerns. The men, and the work crew was very professional and our new roof looks spectacular. Felipe, the General Manager was awesome on the job. Wolf, John, and Felipe were on site for the whole job. The men were miracle workers, from the first walk through to the insurance coverage, down to the last nail picked up. We could not have had a better experience.

Jonathan drove by saw my roof and said we can help fix that and had reasonable pricing and they take the better of the 3 credit scores. A knowledgeable bunch showed up and we are Super excited, relieved and appreciate the care and quality of their Workmanship. We Will be referring them to family and friends. We started working with best choice roofing when Jonathan knocked on our door. We had been dealing with a leak since the August 2023 storms that damaged or roof. We had gotten denied by our insurance, but Jonathan and Felipe helped convince the insurance why it was damaged by the storm and why it needed replacing. More than a year later, our roof was finally replaced and we could not be happier.

I'm VERY impressed with my experience so far. Deondre has been going above and beyond, working hand-in-hand with my insurance company on my behalf, and successfully fought to make sure I get every bit of my roof replacement covered as possible.

I never believed that replacing my roof could be so easy! The insurance company told me I had to replace my roof. I started looking for quotes and I found out from BCR that I had storm damage that would be covered by my insurance company. I backed out of the "really great cash deal" the other guys gave me and BCR got my roof replaced for $1000 by my insurance company! You guys are amazing and really saved me financially!

Very professional and courteous company to work with. We had a storm come through our area a couple of weeks ago. Jonathan stopped by after noticing I had some roof damage from the storm. Best Choice Roofing just installed for me two roofs. Going above and beyond what any person can reasonably expect from a contractor. They finished both houses in one day. I really want to express my thank yous to Jonathan. When he knocked on my door and told me how he can help me with my roofs that were leaking I honestly had my doubts, but Jonathan was so thorough and State Farm’s Andre Johns was so helpful and both of the properties were covered.

The install process was so smooth, Kelly dropped off the dumpsters on both properties. Felipe oversaw the install, even getting on the roof to make sure the install went smoothly. Best Choice Roofing subcontracted all the labor to an unlicensed crew who blatantly disregarded safety regulations. The workers put themselves and your property at risk, showing a complete lack of professionalism.

Without my consent, Felipe Egoavil , the franchise owner, took over my insurance claim. This lack of transparency left me feeling powerless and frustrated.

3. Inflated Costs
After the job was done, Felipe proceeded to tack on unapproved repairs, doubling the initial contract cost from $9k to $17k. For a modest home, this was outrageous and left me with a hefty bill and a roof that still leaks.

4. Insurance Premium Increase
To add insult to injury, my insurance premium skyrocketed after Best Choice Roofing got involved. Their questionable practices left me paying more for coverage.

5. Storm-Chasing Tactics
Best Choice Roofing operates as a national franchise and engages in storm-chasing tactics. Instead of supporting local businesses, they swoop in after disasters, leaving homeowners with subpar workmanship and inflated bills.

6. Predatory Sales Tactics:
Best Choice Roofing preys on homeowners by using scare tactics about storm damage to push unnecessary roof replacements. Don't fall for their deceptive tactics.

1. Independent Contractor Search
If you suspect roof damage, take the initiative to find a contractor on your own. The majority of local companies offer free estimates, giving you the opportunity to compare prices and services without feeling pressured.

2 . Multiple Estimates
Remember, the majority of additional estimates are free. Always get 2-3 estimates from different contractors to compare prices and services. This way, you can make an informed decision without being pressured into unnecessary repairs.

3. Consult Your Insurance
Before signing anything, consult with your insurance company to understand your coverage and options. Don't let Best Choice Roofing take control of your claim and run up your premiums.

5. Hire Local, Licensed Contractors
Opt for a local contractor that doesn't subcontract the work to unlicensed crews. By hiring a reputable local company, you can ensure that the job is done right the first time, without compromising on quality or safety. Local roofers will be here to serve you year after year while storm chasers are here to make a quick buck. Trust local. If you live in Michigan, it doesn’t make sense to trust someone from Texas, Florida, or Illinois to work on your roof.

Did they serve your area before storm, hail, or catastrophic event?

My experience with Best Choice Roofing of East Detroit was seamless and professional. They worked directly with my insurance company, they handled everything. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They were very responsive whenever I contacted them. They also followed up twice after the work was complete to make sure I was happy. The roofers that actually did the work were great! They were very quick and they cleaned up at the same time they were working. The owner was involved in the whole process as well He personally stopped by after the work was complete to perform an inspection and to fill out the paperwork for my insurance company.
