Friendliest staff, everyone so willing to help regardless if it's their department or not. Really nice to see the asst managers getting involved with customers not just avoiding them.

Hi folks!
We are definitely educated in the way of the refrigerator warranty....5 year warranty purchased!!!
Well, the refrigerator (Samsung) broke down after a year a half later.
We called the warranty provider and spent a lot of wasted time of the phone listening about evidently how we were wrong in two ways by purchasing a refrigerator that is guaranteed to brake down and attempting to use the warranty.
What are we supposed to do waiting for replacement parts for weeks?
I will tell you...we went to Costco and purchased another refrigerator, l bet they won't give us the same careless treatment if this one brakes down.

We are very grateful to Customer Experience Manager Rob Abrew for accomodating our request to return two screen doors which we had tried (unsuccessfully) to install. Rob was easy to communicate with and respected our Pro status with many business transactions with Home Depot over the years. We applaaud Rob Abrew as an asset to the Lihue, HI Home Depot!

I am giving a 5 star review solely on my experience last night in this location. Rick saved my life on a project with help from Manager Gordon. Thank you both for your help and support and amazing customer service. Also, my girl Casey helping me with tile and just being so helpful and her customer service was 10/10 I would hire her myself!! Promotion! Thanks again!!

I came into contact with this wonderful and most helpful Home Depot associate Linda from Window Treatment Design.

She scheduled a measure appointment and then we met at her desk to select fabrics and finishes.
Installation came promptly as she promised.
She was my point of contact and took care of every detail making everything so easy.

Worst service of any Home Depot in the country. Special orders take at least 2 months to arrive. No one in the store is knowledgeable about their products. When they call and tell you your order is ready for pick up, it still take them 2 to 3 hours to bring the item to front of store. Worse Home Depot EVER! And I say this as a contractor.

In store staff is all friendly and helpful if you can find one. This review is based on my experience trying to make an appointment with the appliance department over the phone. I’ve tried calling several times over several days and have sat on hold for between 5 and 15 minutes without ever speaking to a human. Never reached a human in the appliance department.

I'm at customer service and the lady helps me, I told her I'm there to pick up a washer, she told me that I have to go to the other side of the store and see one of the clerks to pick it up. So I get to the other side there's no need to check out counters. Then I asked one of the staff that I'm there to pick up a washer, then she tells me go see customer service on the other side of the store. At this point I don't want to continue.....

This is the worst store I have ever dealt with. They put you on hold endlessly. I am calling from California and have been trying to speak to someone for 4 days. They put me on hold and never pick up. I have waited in the endless loop for up to 45 mins each time. I need them because I have to buy a refrigerator but cannot EVER get help. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!

Sonny helped me pick out a perfect Christmas tree, he was extremely knowledgeable and super courteous which encouraged me to continue shopping at The Home Depot Lihue. Five star service for sure. Way to go Sonny.

Employees know nothing here. Was at the beach yesterday, and like 10 people had some really cool floating hammocks and said they got them at Home Depot in the garden department. So I drove to Home Depot and asked where to find them. The ma named "L" happened to be the Garden Department manager. He assured me that the people I spoke with were mistaken, and they have NEVER carried anything like what I was requesting. Confused, I left and, on the way home, decided to look online. Sure enough, they were there and in stock. I went back and let him know where they were, and he pretended to be respectful, but I know he just wanted me gone. Won't come back here again.

Poor customer service. They have a lot of people walking around in Home Depot aprons but no one actually doing any work. Every time you ask for help with something they point you in the direction of another worker who just does the same thing. Nobody knows what they’re doing or how to help customers. Just a bunch of useless bodies.

Dez at customer service is a legend! I have been in several times needing help and she always has a great attitude and patience. She is truly an asset to your company!

We ordered a washer, dryer and new stove. All came in and were all installed. And delivered between the window time. All appliances work good. Service at home depot was great. Very happy. Can't wait to get a new fridge.

I gave the clerk checking out my purchases a wrapper from some yard clippers that were missed in my cart on a previous visit. She thanked me and said she would give me a discount. the next day I looked at the receipt to find a discount double the price of the clippers. Unbelievable generosity I didn't deserve. thanks Dez

The place to go for appliances or whatever one needs
Went in today for a ryobi buy a battery get a tool. I tried to get help three times. First two gave up last person.. Pro desk figured out where the tool was. So it was an extra 40 Minutes but, surprisingly, I'm not irritated because at least I got help. Everything just takes a bit longer here.

Great location with well trained staff for the most part. Overall great experience time and time again. Gordon in managment deserves a raise! MAHALO!

Came here to buy Christmas lights. I entered happy but left dissatisfied and feeling discriminated against with the whole shopping experience. To start, there was no easily accessible shopping cart or hand cart in sight to help me carry the large items. I knew the carts were outside, which I did step out to find but were all the other side of the parking lot. No thanks. so I had to hand carry them to the checkout using the reusable bags I brought with me. When I finally made it to checkout, the ladies there treated me like I was about to steal something, and seemed to be more suspicious when I said I was still looking for another item. I ignored it, but what set me off was when one of the ladys had to scrutinized my ID against my debit card. I felt like cancelling the whole transaction at that time. I will not consider shopping at Home Depot anymore, and if I do, I'll make sure to make it my last resort after stopping by Walmart, Target, Costco, and Ace. I'll be returning the items I bought as well.

2 stars because the guys who work at the Christmas tree section were pretty cool.

I was looking for a portable air conditioner because our VRBO doesn't have it and was able to call the store and have an updated link of the available products texted to me. We were able to purchase an air conditioner and return it unused, unopened the following day when our VRBO owner's denied the used of it. We appreciated the help locating the air conditioner and the easy, hassle-free return.

If you're thinking about calling this store I hope you like the sound of endless phone ringing, unknowledgeable staff, and dropped calls.

After multiple failed attempts to speak to someone helpful over the course of several days, I gave up and called Kauai Ace Hardware. They picked up on the first ring and I was able to speak to friendly (like actually cheerful and sounded like they're having a great time), helpful and knowledgeable people right away.

HD lost about $1500 in business on this item, and likely more going forward.

Tried to rent a van. They told me to call at 1, it would be back. Called and they said 'no maybe try Monday (2 days away)."
Apparently they don't take reservations and you just have to 'guess' when to call and hope something is available. When I asked if I could be put on a list or for any more info, the manager said 'it is what it is.'
Very poor customer service. At least give people a time or help them rent stuff

Georgia has THE WORST attitude ever.
Do not stand BEHIND her , unless you like to get scolded by her. She said she has personal issue people standing behind her,lol.

I’m glad I didn’t spend any $$$ , got $50.00 cheaper washer ( the same model ) at Costco instead.

The customer service here has always been hit or miss, but today it was definitely a miss. It seemed like nobody wanted to be bothered, each person we asked just wanted to hand is off to someone else and the woman at the desk in the flooring/countertop area was exasperated at my boyfriend even asking for help. Every single laminate we asked about couldn't be shipped here even though they are all on display in the store.....so I'm not sure why they are in display? Nobody had an answer for that and we were told at 1pm that since the mainland stores were closed they couldn't find out why none of the looking on display was actually available. So after almost two hours in the store asking the same questions to 3 different people, we got nowhere. I totally recognize that it's not everyone, and may not even be intentional, but it still feels yucky to feel like "a bother" when u need help.

Needed supplies while in town for another appointment. Try to get in town early to beat the traffic jams.
End up buying more than I went for. So much to choose from. Good place to invest in necessary things.

Over the last 13 years living on Kauai, I've ordered many appliances through Home Depot. Sadly, there's little to no choice when it come vendors that sell appliances on island; Sears closed years ago, and Costco has limited appliance options. So, most who live on island are stuck with Home Depot. As for stock, HD never seems to have any appliances in stock, you're forced to place a "special order" with delivery ranging anywhere from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. Well, I'm writing this review due to my most recent experience. I ordered a washer/dryer on 1/29/22, due to post COVID stock supply, HD said it would take 2 months, I understood as most vendors were dealing with supply shortages, not a problem, I could wait 2-3 months. Come April, I had not heard from HD, so I called, they said my product was on its way and to be patient. Come June I called HD again, they said my product was on its way and to be patient. Come August I stopped into HD, they said my washer/dryer was lost and what I ordered was no longer available, so I had to reorder a new washer/dryer. Not once did HD apologize, they treated me as though I was bothering them - no one ever called no nothing, not even a discount for my troubles. Now, after 10 months, I get the call that my washer/dryer finally arrived. To top it off, HD outsources their delivery service (you are informed by HD that you must wait 6am to 8pm for your delivery - there is no window, you must wait 14 hours - you are held hostage and if you miss the delivery you own $75 or $80 to reschedule). So, 10/31/22 (yes, 10 months later) the outsourced delivery team just dropped off the washer/dryer and both men had poor attitudes (super grumpy), they stated that no one informed them they had to go up a flight of stairs (this information was provided to HD on 1/29/22 when placing the order – they noted 2nd floor) and then they grumbled as they did not want to stack the units and told me to do it. I’m a 5’2” woman – are you kidding me. They ended up stacking the units (whining the entire time). This entire experience warranted this review. Sadly, I’ve had to order a handful of HD appliances over the years, every purchase had its own unique “war story” however this experience was by far the worst. Everyone says it’s island living, I say NO, HD you need to do better and same with your contracted delivery service.

I went in and asked for the tool section. I needed to replace a tool my father had SOLD at a garage sale!

I, also, had to find the ladies room in a hurry! I was kindly given directions to the bathroom and the power tools. I picked up the power tool, some drill bits, and some lightbulbs. À nice employee even walked me to the drills. I found everything I needed and ALL the employees were awesom!

What amazing service in the beautiful, well taken care of the Garden Area... From the moment you enter, browse around, looking at plants that will grow at your home to the Cashiers ....
