Southern Roofing and Renovations - Marietta, GA

This place is a sham. They came to my home and took shingles off my roof to get approved through home insurance and told me they would be back out to replace the shingles removed and they ghosted me. Will not reply to my emails or return my calls. I have filed a complaint with BBB.

Matthew Newman was very easy to work with. I recommend this company and Mr. Newman. The roofers did a very good and professional job. The cleanup was immaculate. One thousand thanks to Matthew Newman at Southern Roofing and Renovation.

Not a customer (yet) but I have to commend Jemicah Bowman for his professionalism, charisma, cordiality, and great sales tact. I have been approached by several roofing companies due to the current condition of my roof but I have considered none due to their poor attitudes and rude sales practices. The manner that Jemicah conducted his sales call at my property has made Southern Roofing and Renovations the only company I will take into consideration when looking for roof repair. While this may not directly lead to us doing business as I am looking to DIY, I will definitely keep this company in mind and recommend them just due to a great staff member. Jemicah Bowman, keep it up man. You're doing great!

I would not recommend working with this company. We needed a full roof replacement due to the age of our house, and a solicitor approached us offering a replacement due to recent storms in the area.

Pros:
-They work directly with your insurance company to get your replacement approved.
-They do the work quickly.

Cons:
-The crew installing the roof do not communicate with you or speak English.
-They put a hole through our drywall ceiling inside during the installation, which they stated they would fix. They then used caulk to try and fill a large hole in the drywall. We had to completely cut out the area they attempted to fix with the wrong product and patch/replace ourselves. While we were reimbursed for our expense of fixing it, it would have been easier if they hadn’t told us they could fix it when they clearly did not have the proper tools to do so.
-Within 6 months of the roof being installed, we noticed extreme lumps/waviness. There is a warranty on their work, so we reached out to see what was going on. The same day that I called, they sent a crew out. The crew ended up being the same ones who installed the roof incorrectly the first time. While they did not speak English, they showed us pictures of many incorrectly installed nails when we asked what caused the issue.
-Within days of them coming to work on the waviness, an extremely large hole appeared in the roof that can be seen from inside the attic. The hole is in a spot where they replaced the sheathing during the initial install. I spoke to someone at the office again who asked me to send a picture of the damage and said they would contact me back. I asked them to provide someone who could speak with me about what was happening with these issues, since the crew could not. I have not heard back and I have since left multiple voicemails. At this point, I am not hopeful that they will honor the warranty, or even bother to call me back.

UPDATE: The company did contact me back after about two weeks and sent a new crew out to look at the issues. This crew fixed the hole and identified ripped shingles and wood that should have been replaced by the initial crew. It is unfortunate that the work wasn’t done properly the first or second time by the original crew that was sent, but I am happy the company has honored their warranty. Praying that no other issues arise!

Matthew Newman is an awesome guy to work with!! 5 stars for his professionalism concern and and knowledge of the roofing industry... Very satisfied with the work he and his crew are in the process of working right now!! They clean up as they go along and everyone is super friendly! He addressed my concerns about my fur babies getting nails in their paws and is having his crew do an extra run over for nails and debris, and then offered to do another one personally!! I will be back with another review once the job is fully completed!! I just had to come and express how awesome this crew has been today!!

Perfect. I hope to buy Jayson a beer one day. The supplies were in the driveway Thursday and Friday morning they were ripping shingles off before my alarm went off. Very impressive. I feel like my house is protected and valued. Highly recommended!!!

Amazing company and employees! Andrew worked with the insurance company taking the fight out of our hands. Not enough space to describe what a hard working, honest, incredible person he is. I had a large roof installed yesterday by Southern Roofing and Renovation. Mr. Devin Bowman was the agent in charge of my contract. He was extremely professional, responsive to all my questions, respectful and easy to work with. I will certainly use him to manage other properties with roofing repair needs and refer him to friends. The crew who performed the instillation arrived on time, worked the full day to complete the task and cleaned after completion. I needed my roof replaced after the hail we had in June and Ben Baugh was absolutely amazing. Not only was he informative. He was great at communicating with me about my options and even helped walk me through each step of going through my insurance. I'm not sure I've ever come across anyone who cares about their job like Aaron Carter. Our house looks spectacular with its new roof and the after service has been exceptional. Every tiny problem has been sorted, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!

Southern Roofing & Renovations did a a very high quality job for us, from beginning conversations to the last day of the install. Chris Purdy is an exceptional representative for the company and he did a superior job of helping us at every turn, with questions and options, as well as timing of the install, insurance claims and follow up. We had dozens of roofers stopping by over the course of several years and we were just not ready. With the drone inspection done by SRNR and the information provided by Chris, our roof replacement was a stress-free and positive experience. We are very pleased and highly recommend Southern Roofing & Renovations.

I saw these guys at my neighbors and asked them to come look at my roof. They inspected it right then. It was getting late but they didn't complain at all. Casey and Garrity followed through with their promises, and I continue to speak with Casey occasionally months after the roof was completed. Strongly recommend using them if you have any problems with your roof

Southern Renovation did an excellent job. They fought the insurance company and won where other companies failed. They kept me updated with each step and development. Very easy to work with and did an excellent job with installation and clean up. I would recommend them 1,000%. Garrity and Casey were great representatives. Thanks Guys!
