From beginning to end the team was timely, professional and worked with me on exactly what I needed without trying to upsell me.

I noticed water dripping from above a window during a heavy rainstorm. I contacted SFW Construction and they were able to quickly get me on their schedule and send a crew out. They did a thorough job of removing the siding above the window to determine the source of the leak and they replaced all of the rotten exterior sheathing that was allowing rainwater to get inside the wall.

This is the second time that I have had SFW Construction out to address water that was getting behind my siding and leaking into the interior of the house. With both repairs completed, all of the original siding on the wall with the leak has been replaced with new siding that has been properly installed, and both of the windows have been reinstalled with proper flashing. I have been very pleased with all of the work that SFW Construction has done for me and I can finally rest easy knowing that I don't have to worry about any more leaks when it rains.

SFW replaced some damaged siding and a window. They also repaired dry rot under a bathroom shower. They kept me in the loop as to when they would be there, were always on time, efficient and did fantastic work. I definitely recommend them and will hire them again for future projects.

Both Alex and the other contractor (can't remember his name) were excellent. They repaired some eaves/soffits in my house that were water damaged from the prior owner's neglect. There was additional water damage in the walls and under the roof sheathing, and they were great about talking me through the process and giving me advice on my options. I'm a brand new, first time homeowner, so this is all unfamiliar to me, but SFW made me feel assured that the job would be done properly. The job was expensive but ultimately I feel I got the appropriate amount of quality work for what I paid. Would definitely recommend for stuff you really want done right.

I chose SFW for dry rot repair and exterior painting among 4 different contractors. Jay visited twice to give suggestions and expertise for the work needed. His washing, repair and paint crews did an outstanding job that makes our 35 year old home look brand new. I highly recommend SFW Construction.

SFW did a great job on a complicated kitchen project. They were very responsive and a pleasure with which to work.

SFW Construction was very professional and clear about what was going to happen with my skylight repair. Unfortunately it was winter in Portland, and the start date for repair was pushed out a couple times. However, they did come and tarp over the skylight so it could withstand the rain until they could come out.

Last spring we decided to paint our 26 year old house. In preparation, we found our house needed repairs for water damage to the soffits due to leaking gutters. After calling a number of contractors we decided to use SFW Construction because they had experience in dry rot repair. Two experienced employees, a carpenter and sider, came to our house to repair the damage to the soffits, rafter tails and some siding. We were impressed by the quality and how thorough they were in uncovering the damage and making repairs. They arrived everyday, on time, informed us about what they were doing, kept us informed, answered our questions, and kept the worksite clean. After their work, we had the house painted and installed new gutters. The house looks like new. Thank you SFW Construction.

We had to have some siding replaced and I am very happy to say that the work done exceeded our expectations. The project took awhile to start because the replacement siding was not in stock and the material no or longer used. A satisfactory substitute was found and the work commenced. Greg Owens came out and went to work. It was a real pleasure listening to him as he educated me on many aspects of siding I was not aware of. He has a great sense of humor and my wife and I are glad to have met him. Not only was the work done very well I came away with information unknown to me. The work was done professionally and quickly. My wife and I are extremely happy with the end result and will not hesitate to call on SFW Construction for our future needs. Thank you.

We needed repairs and new gutters on my mom's house before we listed it. SFW was prompt, easy to work with, and got everything done with a minimum of fuss. They knew what they were going, cleaned up after themselves and the gutters look spiffy :) we're looking at getting some work done on our house in Salem and when I heard they can work down there too I was thrilled!

SFW Construction is a highly professional, and more importantly, trustworthy company. Over the years we have interviewed and hired other companies to fix issues in our house and have been less than satisfied with the completed work. This was not the case with SFW Construction. SFW Constructions craftsman (those that did the work) were always professional, patient and courteous. They kept the indoor work area clean and protected the surrounding areas from damage. The craftsman kept a photo journal of all the work they did, from identifying root cause to final fix. They explained each step of the fix, associated costs and pros/cons of alternate solutions. SFW Construction office staff showed a high level of responsiveness and respect. We enjoyed working with all of you. We would definitely use this company again and would recommend you and your company without reservation.‎

SFW recently came out to replace some warped vinyl siding at my house. There was a bit of a delay in finding the right material, but once they found it the work was prompt and looks fantastic. I had a couple of other contractors bid on the job but they said they couldn't precisely match the siding, or I would have to buy an entire box, but there was no such issue with SFW.

We did have a bit of confusion on the billing, but SFW handled it very professionally and I came away very happy with the service I got from them.

Great company! We hired them to rebuild three wooden vents at the peak of our house that were rotted out. This was the first company we spoke to that was set up to do the repair all in one day. The crew took down the vents, set up a little workspace in our driveway, rebuilt them with more durable wood, primed, painted and re-installed them in 7 hours. Easy, breezy. The crew showed up on time, worked neatly, cleaned up well and were very knowledgeable. I was a bit concerned about the cost since SFW doesn't provide estimates in advance of showing up to do the work, but I didn't need to worry. The overall cost was half of what other companies estimated. Overall, great experience! Would definitely use them again!

My second time around for extensive dry rot repair on an older house -- SFW excelled as well as before to solve my problem.
