SFW Construction - Seaside, OR

Bought Hse 7 years ago “remodeled” I had a “local” contractor install new storm door, turned out installed incorrectly, water damage occurred, but once exposed the foundational beams were rotted as well covered up by remodeled sliding when Hse was inspected 7 yr ago. SFW supervisor Kyle and associate Michael was upfront with this distressing find, this required extensive tear down and repair lasting over a week. If I wasn’t present during the entire repair I would be skeptical for their high price tag. The repair done was clearly quality and I’m satisfied this has solved the problems but only time will tell. I wii admit initially with no estimate was scary, so u better have some cash in reserve. Again the old saying “you get what u pay for” clearly rings true w SFW.

Angel and crew were great to work with. Even with all the surprises behind my siding I was kept updated and provided options and recommendations on repairs. Their experience showed in how efficient and clean all their work was. I would hire them again for any future siding repairs. A+

We used SFW to replace our old sliding glass door with french doors and custom side lights. The company is very professional and organized. I was contacted by various personnel to get the project started and throughout the process to let me know what to expect and what I needed to do.
Chris did a great job with the install and was skilled and knowledgeable enough to solve all of the issues that came up.
Everything was completed as promised and exceeded expectations. Our condo HOA has even mentioned making our doors an acceptable model for other units who want to upgrade their slider.
We even plan to use them for another project coming up.

Kyle and Jason did a great job repairing our south wall. Their craftsmanship was high quality and they worked quickly, and always kept us informed. This was a large, unexpected expense for us; so there was no way it was going to be a pleasant experience for us regardless. But Kyle and Jason probably made it about as pleasant as possible.

I contacted SFW in February because they were said to be the best. An assessment was done in March and I was placed “on the list” for repairs and remodeling in May. No response. I called Philip (scheduling) in June and was told it would be July. Two weeks later I received an email from Philip saying he hadn’t heard from me in a while, was I still interested. I replied in the affirmative. I asked that he acknowledge my email and advise when work would commence. No response. I called Philip twice in July and was told my project would start in August. A week later I received the same “haven’t heard from you” email from Philip. And I’ve not heard from anyone at SFW since then. Obviously my $80k project went elsewhere.

Terrific job. These guys are professional, timely, and skilled. The level of quality and attention to detail is outstanding. Only catch is this: There was no estimate prepared because the scope was unknown until tearing into a wall and seeing the extext of the water (and ants) damage. The total cost was much more than I had anticipated. For less important or not publicly visible work, I might find a less expensive source next time.

These guys did a wonderful job fixing master bedroom window and drywall. When I called, Christian Miller sold me on the company’s expertise and helped us understand what work we needed and what to expect, with assured me I had picked the right company to call. The Project Supervisor, Landon, was incredible to work with. The team’s expert attention to detail found that we had some serious molding issues in the exterior wood above the window, which fell under our HOA’s jurisdiction. This would have been a nightmare to deal with as the HOA didn’t create the original invoice with SFW. However, Landon’s meticulous invoicing work made it incredibly easy to distinguish ours vs the HOA’s responsibility, which got our HOA to accept their portion of the job and saved us a lot of administrative headaches. Outside of that, Landon was great at frequently checking in and explaining the situation so my wife and I could easily understand it and I really appreciated SFW’s policy of documenting everything with labeled pictures and providing you with detailed reports of the work that was done and what was accomplished. You get what you pay for with SFW and that is great finished work with excellent customer service.

We decided to go with SFW construction to repair a bedroom window that had a leak. I saw that it was highly rated in Nextdoor as well as Angie’s List and gave them a call. Christian Miller who answered the call was extremely polite and knowledgeable and really made me feel that they had the right experience with this kind of problem. They were able to expedite getting someone to come out as well as schedule us in quickly to take care of the problem. In addition the people who came in to do the work were extremely professional and Rudd did a great job of talking us through the process and working with us every step of the way.

SFW recently came in to our 114 yr old home to evaluate and repair a dryrot condition to an exterior shingles wall brought on by years of flashing failure and water intrusion behind the shingles. In five steady days they removed and replaced a 14 ft beam in my kitchen that supported the second floor as well as the supporting studs. Kept the work area super clean the whole time and coached me with valuable tips for reshingling the wall and sheetrocking the beam myself when they were done (my desire). i will have them back for more work- great experience!

Couldnt be happier with the work done. Ive always been a little weary of construction companies but the guys over at sfw has shown me there are still a few good people out there. Had some interior damsge due to water coming in from the roof. Wont be worrying about that anymore. RECOMENDED!
