Capital Remodel did a great job with installing my windows. The windows were affordable and the people were efficient/ good with their work. Since getting new windows, I have been opening them up more to let in fresh air.

Initially I was very excited to have scheduled this appointment based off of the reviews and the first contact I had. During this first contact, I was given excellent information and the agent was super helpful in setting up my appointment. He took a great deal of time answering questions and gathering the information for the job at hand.

Fast forward to the day prior in which I was called to confirm my appointment, the agent confirmed my time for tomorrow and then asked if my spouse would be present. After explaining that my spouse was not interested in being part of the process ("You can do what you want babe, it's your decision LOL) she once again pushed for his presence stating that it the estimate would be very detailed and so he should be there as if I somehow wouldn't understand. Once again I explained it wasn't necessary as I the decision maker and home owner along with my mother (whom the suite was for) would be present. Once more she insisted and attempted to reschedule when my husband could be present. I happily cancelled my appointment as I refuse to do business with a company sticking to outdated and frankly misogynistic practices. Try listening to what your customer is telling you in the future.

Hiring Capital Remodeling was one of the worst decisions I ever made as a homeowner, I can't take back the money I wasted with them but I can hopefully use this review and hope that it sways other people from not using them in the future. The first problem is that they overcharge for everything, they are not the cheap option do not call them for that, they were priced high on every item I was charged for (which I didn't find out until later). Their design / salesman was lying to me from the start, when he arrived, I told them what I wanted done to the kitchen and what I thought would look good and where I wanted things to go, he made me a design that was close to my request and said they could make it work. When the final measurements guy came to do final review and finalize the order (after the down payment and financing was completed) he told me they wouldn't be able to use that design and that my kitchen would need to keep the exact same layout just with new cabinets, I asked if that would reduce the price or if I could be compensated and was told no. When the cabinets were delivered two of the pieces were for a different house and in a completely different design and color, so the project was delayed until they could figure out exactly where they needed to go and to recover my cabinets which some other poor customer also got delayed from their mix up. Then the real horror story began, the construction crew... the crew that was assigned to my job was some of the worst professionals that I have ever worked with. They were late multiple times, left early multiple times, did not show up multiple times, came without being scheduled multiple times (then yelled at me for not being home despite them not even supposed to be there). Multiple times they left for lunch noon and did not return or left to go get a part / tool from the store before noon and did not return for the day. Thanks to all this the renovation was also done very, very late, the expected date was June and they finished in August. Asked for compensation or reduction in price, was told no, but was offered an apology. Multiple times I had their manager come to inspect the project, listen to my complaints, say they would be fixed, they never were, empty promises every time. I will never use them again, everyone I talk to in person I tell to never use them, and now on the internet I am going to tell you to never use them!

The gentleman that originally came out, was very professional, Capital cost me more than the other company that I had come out but I liked the display that Capital had...the installation was swift and they cleaned up after....when I called the company with any issues, they responded quickly the problem was taken care of and I love my new windows

From the quote provided to the install and follow Capital Remodeling provided excellent service. They were transparent in providing a quote and met my expectations. The window installation was smooth and minimally disruptive to my condo. I would absolutely use their services again!

Unfortunately, I cannot give this a zero star because if I could I would! My kitchen renovation work started on 14th September (installation of few cabinets, taking down a wall, countertop and new floor). As of today, (10/4), I still have the renovation work on hold and my house is essentially a mess. I don't get clear communication from the managers about when to expect the crew which ends up me missing important appointments (because I wait for the crew who don't even arrive). In order to get simple things done, I not only need to notify the project manager but also have to argue/convince the contractors separately because they seem to have communication gap/misalignments on things to be done. The most horrible thing happened when one of the plumbers employed by the company didn't fix the pipes well which resulted in leakage and we eventually had a leak in the bottom floor's ceiling. The company sent the plumber several hours later who just fixed the pipe and left. The floor and the ceiling was all wet and the crew came in 48 hours after to just install a fan! As of today, no one has turned up on the site to either assess the damage or reinstall tile. I have been calling the team constantly and my call is only going to their voicemail. I cannot express how disappointed I am. This company makes you pay crazy amount for such horrible service (or maybe no service at all). It's 4th week and I am unable to use my kitchen or my living area properly.

Really enjoyed the Capital Remodeling service from the picking of the windows down to the installation. They have been forthcoming and very helpful in a investment in replacing all of our windows in our house. Trust me this is not an easy decision to invest in a project like this and come out smiling.

We had Capital Remodeling come by to look at our roof. After they did a thorough inspection and gave us a run down, they helped us make the choice of roofing material. They were thorough, they were low pressure, and they provided financing options that made sense and allowed us to do a major project shortly after having bought our house. They remained professional and easy to work with - their communication was clear and prompt. The workers who installed the roof were polite, professional, fast, and cleaned up well after themselves reducing worry that my kids would step on materials. We will definitely use Capitol Remodeling again for future Reno projects.

My kitchen is not only beautiful, but it was also an absolutely painless experience from start to finish. No going to a showroom after you sign a contract - they bring all the samples you might want to choose from to your home, and you decide before signing. Realistic dates for the project, no pushing back. Only began demolition when cabinets have arrived. Crew was efficient with clean-up every day, and happily answered any questions I had. Was told it would be done in approximately two weeks - it was two weeks and one day. I couldn't have been happier with the project. Highly recommend Capital Remodeling for anyone considering a new kitchen.

Capital Remodeling completed my kitchen renovation but I can't recommend the company. Here is why:

- Quote price manipulation. I was sold by the typical "If you buy now at this quote we can cut X% of the cost" selling tactic, which wouldn't have bothered me if it had stayed there. My original surveyor didn't show up for the walk through so once it got to purchasing materials, Capital tried to up pricing for backsplash type and cabinet colors. I ended up removing the entire backsplash install from the quote after that so they lost on that work.

- Responsiveness of management staff. It often took days, if not 1-week+, to get management to respond to voicemails. They often weren't knowledgeable of my project when they called to check in, and at no point took over management of the project from communicating timelines, schedules, or receiving concerns.

- Timelines/lack of attention to detail. My project was expected to take 10-14 days for total gut and install, and I'm now at week 7 still waiting for final details to be finalized. They ordered the wrong cabinet sizes which left my kitchen gutted and unusable for an extra 3 weeks and the electrical wasn't installed to GFDI code.

+ The only positive I can give is that my actual general contractor and his team were wonderful. They were extremely responsive, even coming after work on other projects to fix water connection issues and installing appliances so that I wouldn't be kitchen-less for weeks on end. If they broke off and made their own company I'd honestly tell everyone not to use Capital again and only work with them.

All in all the renovation turned out fine (considering I did all of the design) but the amount of pull-communication required and complete disregard for client timeliness from management means I just truly can't recommend.

I didn’t hire a friend’s 20-something son and his buddy for my kitchen remodel. I hired Capital. I paid the equivalent of a home mortgage down payment, or the cost of a new car. I got shoddy workmanship, delays, poor quality materials, inexperienced workers, unanswered calls, broken promises, and SO much frustration. What a horrible business!

It is a trap. Do not make an appointment for a quote for window replacement if you have not already gotten a previous quote from others. They only offer a special discount once they are there and you will have to make a decision within minutes. You were warned because I was not warned. $13K decision in minutes or the deal is gone. No thanks. I will take my business elsewhere.

Capital remodeling did a great job on our kitchen makeover! The team from start to finish were very personable, flexible, helpful and easy to work with. I have already recommended them to my neighbors!

I do not recommend giving your business to this company that discriminates against some people who do not have a spouse available with them in 2021. There's something going on in this company, which they are not saying, that would explain the reason why they refuse service to some people who do not have a spouse available. I wish they would try to explain here in Google Reviews their poor reason for not wanting you as a customer instead of repeat over and over again that you need to have a spouse available with you even after explaining that the spouse won't have a say as the spouse DO NOT CARE because the property I'm looking to remodel is solely in my name and the spouse does not have an interest in it. We are currently on our second home improvement project with Capital Remodeling and have been really pleased with the results. The company representative is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. We have had windows and doors replaced and have been very happy with the quality of the materials and the workmanship. The installers were hard working and respectful of our property. We will use this company again.

Good service, quality and professional! Although the advertisement in your local paper (15 windows for $2500) which is what pulled us in, is not correct. Just know you will not be paying that price. Because we were able to get a decent price on the windows we went with this company. The wait time was extensive after ordering the windows. Their company goes through a 3rd party company for their windows, which is why the wait time is so long. This is why 3 stars were given. So, if you are wanting windows in a hurry be aware that you will have to be patient. Once, the crew came to put in the windows they were efficient and professional. They worked hard and did they their job in a timely manner. The windows that were old and needed an upgrade has been replaced with now beautiful, easy to open and close, crisp white and energy efficient windows. We are happy to have chosen Capital Remodeling for our windows. Thank You!

Capital Remodeling renovated our kitchen this past fall and from start to finish I was absolutely thrilled with the experience. It took just about one month from the demo and installation and to complete all of the finishing touches. From my thoughtful kitchen designer, to my project manager, to the amazing and talented installers and all of the communication from their main office, I always felt like I was fully involved, fully aware of what to expect and what was happening and when. This was our first major home renovation and the kitchen is the heart of our home so it was very important for us to choose a company that we felt comfortable with and reach a price point that we could handle. Capital Remodeling delivered hands down. My quartz countertops, new island, tall white cabinets that reach to the ceiling and two toned herringbone backsplash get so many compliments! It is an absolute joy to walk into this beautifully, refreshed space and we have already created so many fun areas in our new kitchen and are looking forward to making so many more thanks to Capital Remodeling.

Great Job from start to finish . Met With Ryan and discussed project. They matched the Cabinets with exiting cabinet from the builder , Installer team was professional and completed the project in one day. We had to wait for the Granite counter to be installed a week later and that was installed in 1 hour. great job. Professional Team

Capital remodeling remodeled my kitchen. The overall project was good however there were some flaws that I had to get them to come back out to repair which they did with no problem. Their communication is bad. A few times I have waited for the contractors to show up and they never came. The person in charge of my project apologize and said each time that they were completing another project or doing something. So why wouldn't they pick up the phone and let me know that they would not be out that day. They waisted a lot of my time. And because their projects were not coordinated properly I was out of my kitchen extra long.

One star does not express my dissatisfaction and disappointment towards this company. This company destroyed my wife's dream of a perfect kitchen. They promised us a beautiful kitchen, which we did not receive. It has been five weeks since they demolished our old kitchen, even though they informed us that the project would be completed in two weeks.
The handles, faucet, and backsplash came in the wrong color and style. On March 4th, a sub-contractor, Pyramid Granite, came to install the countertop. They used scraps remaining pieces from other people's orders in an attempt to save money. Based on our experience with the sub-contractor, it is clear that they have little to no experience. We reached out to dozens of employees of Capital Remodeling, including the president of the company; however, nobody responded. Since then, no one inspected the countertop.
On the same day, they installed the countertop, a plumber entered our house without permission and began working. We received no notifications from Capital Remodeling stating that he would arrive on March 4th.
As a father of two children, I want to ensure that both of my kids are safe. However, Capital Remodeling does not acknowledge the safety of me and my family, especially my six-year-old child. As of right now, electrical wires are hanging from the walls of my kitchen, construction materials are scattered across the floor, and we currently do not know when the project will be completed.
The reason why I am writing this review is not to simply complain, I am writing to warn other Fairfax County residents about Capital Remodeling. Please, do not deal with this company, your time and money are far too valuable.

We started the process of replacing our 20-year old, dated kitchen with Capital Remodeling in January 2020. Little did we know what was coming that year. They worked with us through the craziness and the two nicest remodeling gentlemen ever arrived in July and took only two weeks to rip out all of the old kitchen and replace it with the most beautiful kitchen that I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Cabinets, countertops, backsplash, electrical and plumbing were all completed perfectly and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely be contacting them again when the next project arises.

I highly recommend Capital Remodeling if you are considering updating your kitchen. We got their name from my in-laws who also had their kitchen updated by Capital Remodeling.  I did due diligence and got estimates from two other companies.  They were almost twice the cost quoted by Capital Remodeling. The design team was very helpful suggesting some ideas I had not considered. The other thing that amazed me was how fast they completed the work.  We kept the same footprint which helped of course.  But I was still surprised they were done in two weeks exactly. Very pleased with the end product.

Unprofessional Managers. I asked to speak with the owners in regards to their managers not listening to customer needs. No one has bothered to get back to me. Shocker! I think that says a lot about their quality assurance and control, or lack there of. If their customer service is this bad I can only imagine their the lack in quality of work. This company is all about the sale that's it.

Capital remodeling made the window install process seamless. The installers were on time, professional, courteous, and got straight to work. My windows look amazing!!

They did an excellent job installing, cleaning up, as well s being friendly (I know being friendly as an installer is not a biggy but its a plus when delivery and installation people are pleasant and friendly vs cold/short). And of course their prices are very fair as well. They answered all of my questions and did a great install with no damage at all. I had 8 windows installed. They make a huge difference sound insulation wise as well as weather insulation.

Outstanding job from the moment we met them at the home show to the design to the work and completion. Minimal hiccups but resolved in no time. Great design and finish of the work. I love my kitchen. It’s so functional now, and they made sure all my wants and needs were addressed before leaving the house. I would recommend to friends and family

I am extremely pleased with Capital Remodeling. They turned a kitchen that I hated looking at and being in into a kitchen that I really love to look at and cook in! The team that did the remodel were courteous, professional, respectful, helpful, efficient, friendly and very competent! I missed seeing these guys once the project was completed. I am very happy with the work that was done!

We had Capital Remodeling replace eight large horizontal slider windows that were 20 years old, and no longer sliding smoothly. The demonstration by the salesman showed a test of several types of double pane windows using a heat lamp and detector on the other side of the window that indicated just 5% of the heat getting through, compared to 25 and 50 or so for other double pane window samples, indicating good protection against infrared colors that carry the heat. This sold us on their product as well as the negotiated price, as he was willing to work with us to compete with other offers we had. Installation was done in one day at the start of the covid-19 crisis, with all installers wearing protective masks. We are fully satisfied with the results, and notice the cooler protection against sunlight that we now get with the new windows. Would recommend them for window replacements, fully satisfied!

After being asked was my wife going to be available for a presentation I stated, I don’t have a wife, I have a husband. After waiting two weeks to get an estimate and being that my husband couldn’t be present because of his work schedule I was told they wouldn’t come out to give an proposal/estimate.

It’s not 1940, one spouse can make a decision on what’s needed in their home. Based on my experience I wouldn’t recommend anyone thats married and the couple has conflicting schedules. Or better yet at this point I wouldn’t recommend anyone at all. It was a waste of two weeks.

Can someone recommend a company with better customer service? Especially when your in the process of going to spending 50k.

Capital remodeling did a great job of installing my kitchen counters. They arrived on time and were very professional as they worked. The end result was beautiful granite countertops. Awesome job.

My wife and i decided to replace all our 3rd floor windows. I called one evening after work after seeing an add in the paper. The 1st lady that answered made me hold over 10 minutes. I hung up and called back 30 minutes later. The second woman to answer the phone asked me my name and my spouses name. Why would she ask me this without even knowing my marital status? After i told her my wife's name she told me they would not come out unless both my wife and I were home. I informed her that we work very different schedules and that it would be difficult for us to be both home. The woman then proceeded to ask me for my wife's schedule. I asked her if she could just schedule someone out to give a quote and she point blank refused unless my wife was home. This is the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life.

They were very professional on time and did an excellent job. If you are looking to get new widows I would highly recommend this company.

Capital Remodeling was professional and accommodating from end to end. I jumped the gun and bought my custom windows before my HOA and Old Town BAR approved the window replacement. Capital Remodeling held onto the windows for 3 months after fabrication, delivered a sample so that I can show the HOA, and installed the windows perfectly. I was also pleasantly surprised that Capital Remodeling didn’t up sell or highball on the cost. I did my research and found the cost to be highly competitive. Good company with a great business model.

Highly recommend Capital Remodeling. Everyone on team was fabulous - meticulous measuring/designing, excellent execution, great service with lots of care and follow-up -- really listened to what we wanted and we got our dream kitchen at a more affordable price than any other option we explored. Very, very happy with the whole process and final results.

I am super happy with my remodeled kitchen...it has been truly transformed. The quality of the materials is high, the installation team was delightful and accommodating, and every time someone comes to my house for the first time, they compliment me on my kitchen. The one thing I would change about the experience, however, is the sales process. The sales person was pleasant and professional, but the tactics they use to secure the deal were off-putting (akin to timeshare sales) and it was almost the reason we didn't choose them. I felt like "why are they applying this pressure if their product is any good?" In the end, I don't see the need for their sales techniques as their products and workmanship speak for themselves and I would definitely use them again. I think the company is doing themselves a disservice with this approach as it undermines their credibility, when in truth they have many happy customers like myself.

These people are the very best! They are talented, speedy, and very organized. We are so happy with our kitchen an gladly recommend them!

Capital Remodeling was absolutely a dream to work with. They made everything so easy from start to finish. We were able to find convenient times to schedule everything from design to demo to all of the finishing touches. Diane was our designer and she was wonderful. She paid so much attention to everything that we wanted in our kitchen renovation, and was able to show us exactly what we were going to get. She really knows what she is doing and it shows in her finished design product. The contractors that we worked with for the actual kitchen work were nothing short of phenomenal. Bob took great care to make sure we loved everything about the kitchen. He was very detail oriented and didn't stop until every piece of our kitchen was complete. I think the best thing about Capital (besides the finished beautiful kitchen they produced for us) was how easy it was to schedule everything. They worked around our schedule and everything was completed on time and as expected. We only had one minor hiccup in our renovation and between Bob and the billing department, it was taken care of quickly and much to our satisfaction. I would recommend Capital Remodeling to any one, and look forward to using them in the future for our windows and doors.

Horrible experience ... The process was smooth and professional. It was a bit pricey compared to other roofing company, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I enjoyed my experience with Capital Remodeling. The sales representative was very nice and knowledgable. The guy that came to install my doors was very knowledgable and did not mind me watching the installation process. I am in love with my sliding glass doors. I am glad I chose Capital Remodeling.

My wife is extremely happy with the final results of the transformation of our new kitchen. The cabinets were specifically built to our satisfaction and the blue pearl granite countertop is absolutely beautiful. The gray in the floor matches the specs in the countertop perfectly. Although it is not required for you to be there when work is being done, from start to finish of our renovation I was fortunate to be able to take time from work to observe the demolition to the beautiful new kitchen that we very much enjoy. Scheduling was a bit difficult. I was asked if my spouse was going to be present. I said my boyfriend might. After that i was told that he had to be there for the estimate or the appt would have to be rescheduled. I advised several times that I was the owner of the home and that i would be providing the payment. After complaining about this to a manager we proceeded with the estimate. I'm glad I did. The salesperson was awesome. She was understood what i wanted and helped me stay within my budget. They stayed on schedule. There were a few minor things that needed to be fixed or redone but in the end, GREAT.

The workmanship on cabinetry was outstanding and great teamwork. An outstanding remodel and I highly recommend Capitol Remolding if you want perfection for a lifetime warranty. Kudos for awesome work!
