Ted has washed our house several times, and has always done a great job! It had been three years since the last time it was washed, and after Ted and his assistant worked their magic our house looked really spiffy again! I’m always surprised at the difference it makes. Recently had American Pro-Tech power wash our two story house and deck. Ted Saunders, the owner, was professional, friendly and exceptionally knowledgable-even offering information on tiny black spots on our siding (look up artillery mold!). His quote for the job was surprisingly reasonable considering the amount of mold we had on one side of our house. He completed the job within a week of our first contacting him. The owner, Ted Saunders, quote was more than fair and he showed up on time, and exactly when he said he and his team would. In fact, he remained in touch throughout the day of our appointment to ensure we were both in sync. After introductions, Ted's first step was to make time to walk around our home with my wife and me. This simple and thoughtful gesture guaranteed that he and his team fully understood our concerns and priorities.

My wife and I really appreciated that he listened carefully, communicated respectfully, and took extra precautions and steps to make sure our property and the foliage around it were protected.

Hiring American-ProTech was basically a no brainer after I heard they did the roof for the Secretary of State and Cabinet Secretary.

Vetting the right contractor is difficult and every piece of information I have gives me peace of mind when hiring one. For this particular job, I did my usual rigorous vetting but one major plus for American-ProTech is they were chosen by high profile clients with properties worth $4M+. Assistants for those clients screen countless companies and I felt they did a lot of the heavy lifting for me in coming up with my final decision.

This is the second time we've had the outside of our entire house cleaned and I am still in awe of the huge difference it makes. Our garage doors are bright white again, and the entry walk no longer has green algae patches. Ted was very easy to work with - he was always easy to reach, and accommodated my schedule changes. Well worth the money!

We are so thankful for American Pro-Tech! We got the dreaded letter from our HOA stating that our home needed to be power washed by the end of the month. I called and talked to Ted who was able to schedule a time for his team to come out before the end of the month. When Ted and his team arrived on site they were so courteous. Before they started the job they notified the neighbors of what they would be doing and moved objects that were along the front of the house. They were so quick and efficient at getting the job done; while maintaining a great attention to detail. Our house now looks immaculate and we should have looked into this much sooner. I am so glad that we booked with Ted and will continue to use American Pro-Tech for all of our future power washing needs.

We hired American Pro-Tech to wash our siding before selling our home, and I was amazed by the difference. Ted Saunders, the owner of the company, delivered exactly what he promised. If we weren't selling our home so soon, I would definitely have had him clean the roof, as well. Unfortunately, the north facing portion of our roof has a considerable amount of not only black algae staining, but also moss and lichens. Ted pointed out that the moss and lichens will fall off after being treated, but it could take a couple of months. I really appreciated his honesty, something that it very rare nowadays. I highly recommend American Pro-Tech!

I've been a real estate agent for 25 years and have never heard of a roof cleaning service that was anything more than taking a power-washer and blasting the roof to smithereens. Found out about a "soft brush" approach to cleaning a roof for purposes of addressing a Reston violation that needed to be taken care of. After speaking with the owner of the company about the procedure, I had Ted at my house 2 days later to treat my own home!! It was a great experience, the results were beyond expected and Ted is an absolute pleasure to work with. Go for it!

My wife is an avid gardener and was concerned that the chemicals used would hurt the Spring flowers that were just starting to come up. American-Pro Tech went the extra mile by using a fresh water wash in areas of the gardens where any chemicals coming off the siding, roof or deck were effectively diluted so as to cause no harm to the young plants. Needless to say, wifey was pleased as punch to see no ill affects on the new garden growth.

I am beyond pleased with Ted and his one man crew that cleaned the outside of my townhouse! Communication was fast, they arrived on time and did a fantastic job! I told him my HOA was writing people notices for power washing but many companies are closed this time of year. He got me in within a few days. He said how dare they let the communal mailbox be covered in mold while they cite us for the houses, so he cleaned that too! I will absolutely be using them again!

This company came twice to rid my roof of mold. They sprayed the roof two different times but did not get rid of the mold. Another company cleaned my gutters recently and I asked them to look at said roof. They said no problem and cleaned the roof of mold - no charge! I had paid American-ProTech $300. for the job!!!!

Mr. Saunders promptly replied to my inquiries and was thoroughly knowledgeable about the condition of the roof. He explained to me what was harmful versus a cosmetic concern. I was floored by the courtesy shown me while American-ProTech was giving the roof of my house a washing. I needed the roof done and a large garden shed roof done also. There was dark stains and moss growing on the garden shed. All of these areas were taken care of without a problem. Even the shed's roof, eves, and siding was hit and it now looks like brand new! I can't stop looking at my "new" house after American Pro Tech cleaned the roof; gutters; and siding. I believe my house was about as dirty as they come. Now, it's completely clean and renewed. From someone who once worked in fine dining, I could tell within the first minute of calling that Mr. Saunders is a really good listener and communicator. He was extremely friendly, quick to obtain a price quote, easy to schedule, and all around truly professional. He’s licensed, bonded, insured, and very experienced and knowledgeable. I forgot to take "before" photos, but imagine a really dirty house. Any discoloration you see in the photos is due to the water still drying; it was like brand new siding.

My experience with American-Pro Tech was great! Great customer service and great price. Mr. Saunders was very quick in returning my call and giving me an estimate for power washing my house. I'm very happy with the service and attention to detail. I highly recommend American-Pro Tech!!

I asked Mr Saunders for a quote to clean my roof. I then told him that might be too much and that he might be gouging since the HOA is requiring everyone to have their roofs cleaned. He immediately got very irate and called me "you old bastard". I have since talked to other roof cleaners and they agree that he is a very nasty person. I would not recommend using his services for any reason, regardless of the price.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with American ProTech. I got quotes from two companies and went with Ted's slightly higher estimate because he so obviously knew his stuff. I'm glad I did! My roof looked like it was on its last legs, and now it looks brand new.
