RUN DO NOT WALK! I will call you out! I live in Virginia and had Brennan I believe was his name come to my home to provide written estimate or so I was told at a previous event. He came to my home introduced himself to my young son and proceeded a 2 hour long slide show presentation. Midway through the convo I stated that I wasn’t doing anything right now and he was fine UNTIL it was time to provide the written estimate. He quoted me 14K for 7 windows then brought the price down to 8K with all these discounts. I asked for the estimate in writing which he wasn’t going to do. He became very pushy and I became very uncomfortable bc I was not going to commit. He left very rudely saying just put $1 down “NO!” Then talked about how much of a waste this was for his time with family and in-laws eating tacos and drinking in front of my young son! I will never use this company!

When our sales person Scott showed up at the door to talk about our potential window replacement, I asked him to keep it short and not too sell me the window during our conversation. I already knew I needed new windows, everyone is going to claim that their windows were the best and I should buy from them. I didn't care for the fancy props or to hear about the bells and whistles. I used to build and remodel houses for a living before I joined the Navy.
The only thing I wanted to know was why should I buy from Capital Remodeling and how much it was going to cost me. What got me to close was Scott respected my request, albeit it was a rude one, and we got right to business. The conversation instantly became two-way. This was a relief because, more often than not, it's the salesperson trying to convince you to buy their stuff with sales tactics. I'm not very receptive to being manipulated.
The windows are local, along with the folks that repair them if I had to make a warranty claim. No random subcontractor hired by a corporate company. The warranty is lifetime and transferable if I chose to sell my house and the qoute for my window replacement was $7000 less than other contractors I received qoutes from.
The work was done quickly and efficiently and communication was fluid both ways. I would be happy to recommend this company to anyone who needs a window replacement. They will be first I contact when I decide to make further renovations.

Capital Remodeling replaced 23 of our windows. It was one of the best decisions we’ve made. The salesman was very professional and helpful, the installation was very well done, our utility consumption is down from previous years, the windows are easy to clean, and we are very happy with the security features. TLDR: high pressure pushy salesmen, over priced, poor quality work that won't fixed the damage they caused.

a massively high pressure sales experience made my girlfriend feel forced she had to sign immediately, I even told her take time to review it and he said "don't or it'll cost you more" followed by many months of waiting, just for them to install three windows upside down and then also cause a leak on another. they want to say oh it was like that but as you can see from the pictures below with the original windows from when the home was built there was no leak. just a few storms later and you can see the progression over just a couple of weeks.

My husband and I replaced our windows and roof and are completely satisfied! The warranties are a plus and we plan to do our kitchen next year as well! Making decisions such as these, I'm in agreement with both who are financially invested in a home to be there. It allowed for both my husband and I to make a grounded decision. I would recommend to all! Best experience so far!

I would not recommend this company. They had a good pitch but false advisement.. I did not like the fact the representative called my husband a liar who serves our country. Unfortunately when they gave the sales pitch they never said my husband and I had to be present for the estimate. My husband works in the morning and I work at night. The representative does not have a say when my husband and I can see each other. If this representative does see this shame on you. Feel free to take over one of our bills since you are worried about our work schedules. If you are serving our country go else where.

Sales person was extremely pushy and rude. The spiel took over an hour; I really just wanted a quote. And the biggest thing that undermined his sales pitch is that he went on and on about energy cost savings. Talked about getting a 50% reduction in my energy bill over 10 years (with a whopping 5% per year in inflation to bump up the number, as if we've had that rate of inflation for 10 years) and gave a number. Then the final quote was still several thousand dollars more expensive than that.

I wasn't planning to commit to such a huge expense then and there because I'm not a crazy person. This was the first quote I was getting. I wanted to get a number and think about it. He refused to leave any quote if I wasn't willing to buy then. Extremely sketchy behavior. Then he stormed out complaining that he had an hour drive home and said it didn't seem like I wanted to buy windows anyway. Certainly not from this company!

All in all capital remodeling did a great job. Their initial home visit was very professional and they have a 4D model of the type of windows they provide so it gives you an idea of what your paying for!

I had a great experience with Capital Remodeling. I got my windows from them and everything from the consultation to the installation process was professional and fast. They delivered the windows when they were promised without delay.

Unprofessional and sleezy salesmanship. I scheduled a consultation to get a quote. The guy came over and gave me an hour long lesson on the company and how their windows are made. He also made sure to give the prices of all his competitors (so no need for me to check myself). Once I finally got the quote, I asked him to leave it with me so I could consider. I never had any intention of purchasing that day. He then tried to convince me to do just some windows, or even just ONE window. Why would I replace just one window?? All so he could place a sign in my yard to solicit other business. It was so desperate. When I told him no, he got visibly upset, packed up his things and left. He was very rude.

If you are a reputable business, I should be able to get a legitimate quote that doesn't expire in five minutes.

We signed a contract a few months ago to have 5 windows replaced. According to our contract work was to start on approximately Oct 26. That date came and went and we heard nothing about our window installment. We began calling to figure out what was going on. I left a voicemail and sent an email and still heard nothing back. After a few days we finally got someone on the phone. Well we just got a call to schedule the window installment and the closest date we could get was Dec 12. It’s a bit ridiculous that they do not abide by the contract. Our installment date isn’t even close to what was on the contract. I will not be using them for the rest of my window replacements.

The sales rep and installers were awesome. The product was just what was presented to us. Each window was custom built for the frame it would be installed in and our electric bill has decreased as indicated. The only thing we did not like was the wait time for the custom built windows. However, it was worth the wait.

I already knew a lot about windows but I still decided to shop around prior to replacing my windows and sliding glass door for my condo. Out of all the companies I spoke with; Capital had the best combination of quality, energy efficiency and warranty at the best price. I did receive some quotes that were lower but the quality was lacking and no one could match their triple lifetime warranty including glass breakage for any reason, plus they even covered the labor for life. I instantly noticed a huge difference in how much cooler my home has been since the windows were installed and my first electric bill was almost $80 less than the one prior. All in all I am extremely satisfied with my decision so far.

Capital Remodeling doesn't make it easy on modern American families. Both me and my spouse have full time careers so I handle the maintenance around the house. Capital Remodeling couldn't understand that and wanted to see both of us with our busy work schedule. I tried to reason with them but it was a waste of time also from my experience with companies that want to see both spouses. They just jack the prices up more than they advertise.

8 years from installation...

Every window they installed has malfunctioned or leaked air between the two panes. I realized I had “gotten had” when a locking mechanism broke within the first year. They promised to fix it, but instead simply mailed me the parts and told me I had to fix it.

The salesman was helpful (as salesmen often are), but recommended changes that we listened to. Years later, we realize how poor the recommendations were. We bought Pella windows one year later and haven’t had a single issue with any of them, despite getting twice as many Pella windows as Capital Remodeling ones.

The windows themselves, after years of wear, seem like cheap knockoffs compared to the Pellas and Andersons of the world. You may be happy for a while, but in the end you will get what you paid for. Less even.

Do not use capital remodel! This is a warning I wish I saw when I searched reviews. No matter the price or product DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I PROMISE YOU IT IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE YOU WILL GET! They will take your money and not contact again you have to hunt them done to get the work done. From installers not showing up to to well this is when we can get it done who care if that's a inconvenience to you we have your money now and not giving it back! I've sat on this for months wondering if I should share my experience. I know, at least for me, as a military family I rely on word of mouth bc the luxury of knowing an area for a while just isnt always the case. Long and short is that I had the WORST customer service experience ever.

We looked at getting Windows back in February of 2020.

I wanted something that was better quality for better sound reduction as well as better energy efficiency. And honestly, I think I suffered some anxiety from being a new homeowner and freaked out about new home sounds. So I wanted something quick. I read reviews, had people come out to the house, and ultimately decided that Capital Remodeling had the best quality for what we needed. I should note the salesman went above and beyond to help us figure out the type of window would be best. We signed a contract w/ a 6-8 WEEK expected delivery date of April 23 2020.

We didnt actually get our windows until August 3rd. In that time they stood us up on THREE separate install dates with no notice. (Id be home, no one would show up, and Id have to call them to find out what happened).
The first time they missed the delivery I received a call from the INSTALLER asking if the company had informed me my windows hadnt arrived. I said, no. I called the window department (savannah)...no response. I ended up calling the person who sold me the windows to ask what was going on because it was the night before the install, I had rearranged my work schedule, and I wanted to know what was going on. (I knew that the company was teleworking during Covid---when I talked to Savannah on April 6 all I asked was that they notify me if there were any delays). The salesman calls corporate, assures me they are looking into it...and apologies. Great. However, this happens again in May.

When the windows finally arrive at our house on June 3rd, we find out while trying to install that the installer had measured them incorrectly and that they didnt fit. So after almost 3 months of waiting for windows, we had to place our order AGAIN. At this point, I'm pretty upset. After being delayed due to Covid and "rain" delays, this was turning well past a 6-8 week project.
I called the salesman to see if there is anything he can do (bc up until this point he said to let him know what was going on) and to ask for a discount on the windows since I had to REORDER them three months after I signed a contract. I received a text me back telling me that hes done all he can do and that the company knows they messed up...but that they were more concerned with trying to figure out what had happened than giving a discount. He went on to say that they were making a window they almost never build...which I found interesting since that was never conveyed this to me before June 3rd. I still have this text.
Now we get passed off to the corporate office, Jamie, who seems very nice and even tells me they will rush the order. She confirms with the warehouse that the earliest i can get them is in 5 weeks. On July 15th, when the second set of windows were supposed to get installed, no one shows up at the house. This is especially infuriating because the Thursday prior the Windows department, Hannah, emailed me to confirm that install date was still good. I called corporate, no answer. At this point, I learn that the corporate windows department will not return any of my phone calls and will only respond to emails. This begins a series of emails with the company in which they provide little information as to what's going on or when to even expect the windows. I'd ask for information, if I got a response, it was usually a vague one sentence response.
Finally on August 3rd, my windows show up (3 1/2 months late). Thank god the new installers (bc the other one got fired) were great. They were the ONLY redeeming part of this situation.

I had all my windows replaced. The pricing was good. The work was done professionally, and the installers were very courteous. They followed my no shoes in the house policy with booties (shoe covers). I was told the installers would be at my home at 7am, and they were there exactly on time. Work finished very quickly. I would recommend this company for windows. My windows were delayed because of the pandemic, and they needed to manufacture them first. My windows are oddly sized. They left no mess and now I have windows that actually work.

I would like to rate the quality of the work and actual product, but they haven't showed up and I signed the contract back in June.
So I totally understand the COVID19 national crisis and the impact it has had on businesses. I also understand business operations and business ownership because I'm a business owner myself. So here is my issue, I signed a contract on 6/17 to have windows done approximately 9/1. Then I was informed that the date needed to be pushed back to be completed on 9/5. I signed and agreed. Now it's 9/9 and after contacting the PM and being told I would hear from the installer, which I haven't, I feel like I'm being played. So from my understanding a contract is a binding document which can be held up in the court of law.... but I guess that only applies when you are a customer and break the contract and not the company breaking the contract. I get its uncertain times, but communication through these times gets you a lot further than silence. I would hope to see some kind of reconciliation over this because this is not right by far. I'll share this with my FB and Twitter audience and see if they can recommend a more reliable company.

The windows I had replaced turned out great. Everyone was professional and I immediately saw savings in my utility bill with these new windows.

They did an outstanding job on our roof siding and windows. The only issue was the weather delays which they could not avoid they were very helpful during the delays ensuring our property was fully protected.

Capital Remodeling replaced my old, wooden framed windows with beautiful, easy maintenance windows. Since the installation, the difference in my heating bill is amazing. They also replaced exterior trim as needed and vinyl-wrapped it so I will never have another trim painting expense. I love these windows. They’re beautiful! The sale and completion of the job was efficient and flawless. I would hire them again and highly recommend them.

The installation of our windows by Capital Remodeling with our siding was perfect. It has improved the look of our home on the inside and the outside. We have reduced sound at night when sleeping. We had 6 horizontal sliders installed and they function easily. The screens are almost invisible. The white vinyl is clean and sharp. The glass reflects damaging sun while letting light in the rooms.
We hope to work with them in the future to install 4 additional windows and recommend Capital Remodeling if you are considering new replacement windows for your home.

Capital Remodeling basically SCAMMED ME. When the representative came over to provide a quote he said that our home needs tempered glass for a particular window. We paid more for that window seeing that it was going to be tempered. After installation, I was looking at the windows and noticed that the window was not tempered. I reached out and asked for an explanation and was told that the installer did not see it as necessary. I then asked if I will be refunded the difference and was told no. The representative said I didn't really pay for it because of the money I saved from my discounts (military and referral). I said that that's not right and that did not add up and was responded with that if I really want it corrected, they will remove my discounts and charge me even more.

Wow what a great company to deal with. From sales to install to clean up. Just wonderful. Can't say enough good things about the locally made windows either. Thanks for a great experience. Folks don't be fooled by the bad reviews. Those people did not own the property.

We signed up for a no-obligation quote to have our windows replaced. The gentleman showed up (with his young son) to do our appointment. It took 3 hours!! He made a good spiel, he quoted us $9,000 to change our 18 windows into 9 sliders - which I really don't want. We felt pressured into signing a contract just to get him out of our house. He finally left at about 8 pm, we had another window quote done the next day. We went to cancel with Capital Remodeling within our time frame and he went ballistic on my husband. My poor husband has been on the phone with this company about 2 hours now trying to get them to cancel the contract and leave us alone! We will not be doing business with this company! Please be careful when letting these people in your house.

I was so excited to do business with this company as my husband recently purchased a fixer upper in VB.
This house needs new everything including 15 windows. Unfortunately the company refuses to work with us because I am not presently in VB but in SFL waiting for the kids to finish school.
The interesting thing is I don’t even own the house my husband does, so your company policy makes no sense in this instance.
I guess you don’t want our money.

We had a new roof installed with Capital Remodeling. They were informative, professional and friendly. The installation took one day. We are very pleased and love our new roof and would definitely recommend them for roofing and any other home improvement.

Very pleased with my windows. I loved that they were on time with the install date and the actual installation. My windows are performing as demonstrated. The installers were professional and cleaned up after they were finished. To my surprise the installation of my 11 windows did not take all day!

This was the first window company i contacted and they said that they would not be able to give me a quote because this was a rental property. The operator was rude and said the reason why they couldn't give me a quote was because their windows are very high quality, as if i wanted poor quality. On top of that their advertisement leads you to believe you can get 7 windows for $525 and 15 for $1125 when in fact that is a discount and NOT what the windows cost. Anyways, I will be taking my business elsewhere!

Capital installed 19 windows and a slider and they look beautiful. Each window was custom fitted and installed. The windows were installed on time and took 2 days, as expected. After a couple of months I noticed a film on one of the windows that I couldn't get rid of with a simple cleaning. I called Capital and they replaced the window. The installer could not have been nicer and answered all my questions.

I just had an estimate done by this company and it was the most unsettling experience I have ever had as a customer.

The representative of this company spoke down to my fiancé and I, laughed in our faces about another estimate we presented, and made a joke about our finances.

I called the 1-800 number to let them know what was going on and they hung up on me and never called back as well.

Great windows at an awesome price! Windows fitted to each window individually, ordered and arrived in a month. Window install (for 22 windows) completed in a day and a half. Electric bills already showing what a great decision this was. Capital Remodeling made the decision easier with their professional employees.

I am very happy with the quality of the windows and the installation was also very good. I got to compare these Great View windows with newly installed Big Box store windows at my ex's house and the gaps around the windows are much smaller than at her house. Also the overall construction appears to be better. They also came out on a Sunday to install my windows when they got backed up due to weather (hurricane). I already noticed an improvement in energy efficiency. I would definitely recommend Capital Remodeling for windows.
