Aubuchon Ace Hardware - Montpelier, VT

We want to say "thank you" to Aubuchon in Montpelier and its manager Jason for the great service they provided. We have always had good experiences when we go there from Brian, Jason, and the other employees there. We want to call out one situation in particular that was extremely helpful to us. We had purchased several gallons of paint and other painting supplies and were looking for our receipt from that purchase. We had ordered these online to pick up in the store. We live in Hardwick, so we did not want to travel all the way back just to get a receipt, so we called Aubuchon, and Jason, the manager, told us that he would look them up for us and call us back when he found them so that we were not waiting on the phone. He called us back promptly to let us know he found them and also emailed them to us, which was very helpful.

Aubuchon’s is our great local hardware store! Today, the salesperson helped me find landscape pins, and also assisted with finding the correct size package. The staff is fantastic and always ready to help with anything you come in for.

My neighborhood Aubuchon’s has gotten me out of so many tight spots over the years with great advice and quality products. Today, I had a a real conundrum of how to solve for a poorly manufactured sink. Greg helped me figure it out. We got creative and came up with 99 cent solution! Much better than cutting into the sink!

I went to a clerk, told him what I needed, he took me to the item, and they had it. Out the door in 5 minutes. A nice home town hardware store!

So glad for our steady, convenient, downtown hardware store. They always have more selection than I expect, and on occasion when they don’t have what I’m looking for I always get a helpful recommendation for where to look. Thanks!!

Got some tools to fix my roof rack on the drive back home from the eclipse. Just what I needed, and conveniently located.

Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We rolled through town on a road trip in June of 22. We had a lock stuck on our hitch carrier bag. Either the manager or owner was very polite and understanding and lent us a tool to get the job done and have a wide selection of locks at a fair price to replace our broken one. We still use it as an example when reminiscing about the trip to show how polite the people of Vermont are. Class act.

This store is to place to go for help with a number of projects. Help in finding the right screws, glue, paint, etc. All of their employees are helpful and knowledgeable.

It's always a good experience at Montpelier's Aubuchon Hardware. I've used them for years and so far haven't had a bad experience.

Aubachon is looking so fresh! The entire store has been completely renovated post-flood and inventory is restocked! The place is super clean and organized, with a lot of new high-quality items that were great to see (looking at you screwless wall plates!). It's going to take a bit of time to get used to the new layout but the staff have been very helpful directing me toward anything I am looking for. Great to have you back, Aubachon!

Wish I could leave 10 stars. This place has EVERYTHING. Hardware and other household items like office supplies, shampoo, pet food, etc. Everything is beautifully organized and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. So glad this is right downtown and I can support a small business regularly.

This is one of those stores that has most everything. The employees are helpful, prices reasonable, small town vibe! It's my go to store!

Everyone is always so extremely helpful and patient...especially Tip who goes out of his way to help find whatever you need!

My son and I came in recently and had a great experience talking with Colby in the paint department. He was super friendly and made it extra fun.

Great store. Much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The people working there are some of the most helpful and nice people anywhere. Just a great experience.

I needed some last minute Christmas items and stopped in at the Montpelier Aubuchons. A clerk named Damien went out of his way to assist me and I received just what I needed. Fine service during a busy time of year!

I needed a replacement battery for my garage door opener...(a teeny-tiny one I'd never seen before!)...but the folks at Aubuchon knew what I meant, and had one available on the spot! Great people!

The staff at Aubuchon is outstanding. Frequently, they answer questions I am not even aware that I need to ask, Tip is an endless font of helpful/ useful information. And you get points for your purchases! What's not to celebrate?

Guess what, it's a hardware store. Been there a while as I oughta know as I'm 75 and been goin there fer a spell and I am now 78 and probably will be going there till I can't walk anymore as my SPMS will eventually curtail my mobility however, till then if I don't need any hardware they have Dot's Home Style Honey Mustard Seasoned Pretzel Twists - Try Em - You'll Like Em also, I just picked up a cutting board

While the store is a well stocked store with friendly helpful staff, I have been frustrated by the fact that there credit card readers constantly decline my card even though it is accepted everywhere else. Getting a new card made no difference. Entering the number, exp date, and cva code manually resulted in the card being accepted. I have complained numerous times but my complaints have fallen on deaf ears. In the past, I have tried to avoid ordering from Amazon in order to support our local hardware store. No more!
