DO NOT TRUST this COMPANY with ANYTHING they have to SAY. This by far is the WORST company I have ever worked with. I had a rep come out in May of 22. He had explained and showed me the different options we could. I explained to him that if we sign this contract today, I was wanting to get the windows in before winter. This was Due to because my house was built in the 60's and still had single pane windows in and how awfully cold it was from the previous. He assured me that it was a reasonable thing that could happen. Long story short was we had to reschedule 3 times in order to finally get someone up here to install them. In which I was originally told it would take 2-3 days.... it took 5 and they were installed January of 2023, one of the coldest times here. In which then ran my heat all day everyday they were here. I even went through the trouble of moving several feet of snow around all the windows so they could get easier access to them. Fast forward to January-February of 2025 I then had condensation on the inside of the windows where the 2 separate windows would meet. I then put in a service request for them to come look at that all 9 of 11 window screen because they sat crooked. I then painted bedrooms, getting ready to have a kid. and the one wall where the window was their was 2 spots about the size of baseballs that would not dry and they could run, well come to find out, around the trim it was freezing cold, and the trim on the inside of the window was pulling away from where they nailed and I had a cold draft coming through. After having their rep coming out 2 times because the warranty would only cover for them to open the window and seal it again if the breeze coming through would only blow out a match or lighter. In which INFURIATED me because my windows cost me almost $29,000 and you can't pull the window apart to seal it. We finally had a windy enough day that the lighter did blow out. The rep finally got approval to replace all the bad screens. Come June 9th now set up a time to have them come up and do everything. I got a call from them saying they couldn't make it because of a double schedule... or maybe they didn't have enough time to drive up and do it. I live about an hour from their company building. Got rescheduled for June 12th. Got another phone call on June 11th stating the installer they had originally had will not be able to come up anymore. They will send someone else they have up to service my area and once they get in touch with them about their schedule they call me back to reschedule. Finally got a call July 1st to schedule for July 8th. Got a call on July 7th to reschedule because the installer had a family emergency. I asked them if there was anyway they could take someone else off a different job and send them up here because we have simply rescheduled 3 times already and they told me that was not an option. So we rescheduled for July 21st. Come July 21st, I got a text message saying they will arrive between 8am and 12 pm, I then received a call at 10:55 am saying that the installer will not be able to make it due to vehicle maintenance. The scheduler then said let me take a look at the schedule and looked at where I lived and stated that due to how far i live they can get to me the following week Tuesday at the same time 8 am to noon. Well here we are, the following Tuesday July 29. It is approximately 1:05pm I received a text message from them this morning stating the installer would be arriving between 9-11 am. I called at 12pm and was on hold for 18 minutes and still had not talked to anyone nor have I heard from the installer. I AM COMPLETELY DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY AND WOULD NEVER SUGGEST THEM TO ANYONE. I also think its crazy that I spent almost 30K and my windows that have lifetime insurance through 1800 Hanson's and they can't do any simple job of installing screens or sealing up my windows they put in also the fact of how much time I have just sat around waiting for them to show up or setting time up for someone when I couldn't be there to come.
Run away!!! This is just a contract firm that offloads projects to the lowest bidder. It tooks many months of a leaking window before they came back, and now another storm is showing me that the problem has not been resolved. Now I'm able to smell rotting wood near that window and suspect my house may be in very bad shape thanks to putting my trust into 1800hansons.
If you want your house ruined with customer service that leave you on hold for 8+ hours per day, this is the place to lose any remaining sanity.
Alex was wonderful. He explained everything so well and answered all the questions we had. He walked us through the entire process of getting our replacement windows, start to finish. We feel very ready to get this done!!
