We enjoyed talking to Ryan. He was professional, competent, personable, and answered all questions. Sometimes, he anticipated questions and answered them even before we asked him about the walk-in shower we were interested in. He offered two prices for the same project -- a little over $24,000 good for a year and a month-end "special" price of a little over $17,000 if we signed up that night. This appears to be a company policy on which Ryan has no control. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I am so disappointed to have to delete my old five star review and do this one.

We met with our sales guy April 26th to get estimates for windows – day of it was great! We were excited to get things going and get improvements on the house done.

1) The windows took months to come in – not until the first week on July. Which is fine and I understand they are built to order, but communication throughout all this would have been nice.
2) Once we finally got the windows in, we go the automated text saying they arrived. However, we had to reach out to schedule a time for them to be installed.
3) We got a time scheduled - it was weeks later before they could be installed. It was scheduled for July 22nd between 8:00 AM – 12:00 P.M.
4) On the day of install at 9:30 AM they called saying it would need to be rescheduled and pushed out ANOTHER week – now pushed back to July 29th.

It just seems like there is no urgency. Once they got the sale, it feels like we were pushed to the back burner.

Another example: we needed/wanted our roof repaired and my husband reached out to the same sales guys to get quotes (he stated at the window estimate they do discounts for return customers). All he asked was if insurance was involved, we said no, and never heard from him again and still haven’t. So we moved on to another roofing company who got us in and new roof put on within two weeks.

The frustating part is you have to move your furniture all around, remove curtain rods, curtains, etc. to prepare for install day. We do all that, just to be canceled on the day of and now hoping they stay on schedule to be installed next week or pray for an opening between then.

We are having to schedule a new appraisal on the home around install, our roofers were moved around to accommodate install, work schedules, etc.

This is a scam company. Cancelled or never showed up to install window 8 times. Tried to charge a $1200 cancel fee. Made an agreement to pay for the window and I would do install myself. Couldn’t find my window/ wouldn’t deliver ( I Offered to pick it up myself). Measured wrong which is probably because the original was never made or lost. Many months of HELL.

We had 6 windows installed by Hanson's. We have had nothing but problems with them (Hanson's and the windows).
First, we're told our order was ready and attempted to schedule with them. Spent hours and hours on the phone on hold, several times, and didn't get scheduled until I reached out the agent who had sold us the windows. We scheduled once and then they called us to request to reschedule we obliged.
On installation day, one of the windows did not fit. They had measured it wrong and needed to reorder it. Simple human mistake but frustrating nonetheless because we had to rearrange our entire house for the installation.
Day after installation, I noticed several items, like empty containers were left outside our house. We also noticed a huge section of our grass had died.
While waiting for the last window, we noticed several pieces on our windows were broken. The window safety locks on windows were not able to be disabled.
A month passed.
When they alerted us that the correctly measured window was in, we again had frustrations scheduling.
When they came to put in the window, we showed the safety locks and other not working pieces to the window installer. He reported that they'd have to order the parts as they were broken. This was September.
At this point, I contacted our agent several times to express our concerns and frustrations with the process, scheduling, and broken or missing items.I received no response. I sent another email a week later. In this email, I repeated our frustrations and I sent pictures of the yard and the left behind items.
Our agent finally responded, saying that he was passing our concerns along to the regional manager and that the regional manger would be handling our concerns.
I replied and then never heard from a regional manager.
Hanson's contacted us in November about getting the broken latches and locks replaced. This time, scheduling was easy. When they came out, the installer reported that one of the latches that they had received was broken and they would have to order a new one. He also reported that all the windows needed leveling or something like that. Basically said that they weren't put in fully right, but also that sometimes windows just need that.
So we waited. Frustrations continued. I called customer service several times to express my frustrations. Nothing was ever addressed or apologized for.
We did not get contacted again until April.
At this time, we scheduled right away but then they called us and forced us to reschedule like 3 times. Finally they came in May and did it, but also reported that they had to caulk one of the windows as that wasn't done correctly.
So to my understanding, since August 2024 until May 2025, one of our windows was incorrectly put in and another one of our windows was unable to be opened properly because of the child safety lock.
We paid almost $15,000 for 6 windows and have received the worst service and faulty installation of decent products as the windows do block out light and heat well.
I have attempted to contact the company so many times to get any sort of remedy or apology or anything from Hanson's, and we have received nothing. No contact from the regional manager, no further contact from our agent. Nothing.
I have tried to be as calm and polite during this whole experience as I understand that mistakes happen, but all of these issues along with no response from the company or even an apology, is not okay.

Ryan was a fantastic salesman from Hanson's. We interviewed two other companies for the job and ultimately went with Hanson's not only for their great shower designs and quality materials, but because Ryan was caring and compassionate towards my elderly parent's needs. Our home is coming up on 20 years old. Our builder grade windows were starting to show wear and tear and were no longer keeping cold and moisture out or heat in. Ryan from Hanson's did an excellent job walking us through the process of purchasing and installing new windows. He answered every question and concern we had about the process thoroughly. June 11, 2025, Update:
Today was window install day!! Woohoo!
Unfortunately, there was an issue with how all of our windows were measured. Thankfully, our installers were great and figured this out right after they arrived! Turns out all of the windows were 2 inches to small on each dimension. . I worked with the installers and they got new, proper measurements. I also informed Ryan and asked for next steps and how we can be compensated for this big disappointment/delay. He's checking into it for us.

We are looking forward to next steps and getting our new windows!

Ordered a window almost 6 months ago. I was told 2-3 months Id have a window. Installers finally show up. They didnt bring a ladder so they cant install the window. On hold now trying to get rescheduled. I have no faith in this company. I want my money I paid upfront back!

Overpriced. Unprofessional. Use subcontractors, the install is very unsatisfactory. Save some time and go with someone else that knows what they are doing and had quality craftsmanship. Don’t trust em.
Had roof installed noticed it was damaged or warped and ask them to fix it. Hanson replied that they don’t fix this issue. Then find out they will fix it for another 3200.00 and price gouge me. Refused to pay til they did my roof properly. Hanson got into my account to get the money owed when the job was not done without my authorization. Still haven’t got the roof I ask for. Now they are threatening to put a lien on my house. Still…. Haven’t got the roof I asked for!
In the photo you’ll see the wave in the roof I was never told the rafters or anything was wrong before they put the roof on. Just wanted the quality they promised. Contract is considered fraudulent and misrepresentative with false advertisement written all over it.

Post Date - 6/23/2025.

And it keeps going.. with our initial installation back in 2023 we also had out patio door replaced for which we had 2 service calls and now its bowed. It needs to be replaced again.

Overall all windows and doors have been replaced twice now and the crank 3 times now.

All we get is the scheduling department on the phone and not local or regional manager show up when the crew is on site.

With all the repetitive work being done on the windows, some of the window frames are starting to show the cracks in them and who is suppose to pay for all that and the time we need to take off from work for all of this hassle? Is hansons going to pay for it ??

Avoid Hansons if you can, i speak from personal experience.

Any the nightmare still continues.

We were told that we will have all windows replaced, which where in October but the are no different or any better then what they were installed the first time around in 2023.

On top of that the crew that came to install it, forgot one window in the warehouse and still no one, I mean not a single person has followed up on that, It looks like at Hansons, you only get customer service phone person and no manager or supervisor who actually is local and would take some sort of responsibility.

The installation crew mentioned and let Hansons know about the quality for the crank shaft, on how they were of bad quality and all they did was send me a box of same with no followup on what am i to do with it?

This is after spending 35K on the windows .. Next Step is to go to BBB and file a report of some sort.

We were told in May/June ( 2024), that all our windows will be replaced with new ones on 9/20/24, which then got pushed back to 10/4/2024 and that date has come and gone, but not a single word from Hanson's on any sort of update.

This has been a really horrid experience and wonder if companies like this should be on the radar of the BBB for the amount of money people pay for windows, the kind of product and customer service they provide to the customers.

Will be calling them finally this morning to get an update .. more to come...

This is a follow up review on my first one which is below

After the initial review, i was contacted by the Jeff who is either state or territory manager and Joshua from the local office came in the next couple days and i was told that they will replace the cranks and it should be 2-3 weeks ..

Since Joshua came and it has been over 5 weeks and no one has contacted me or gave me any update.
My messages to Jeff and Joshua are being ignored.

Once again a VERY VERY bad customer service experience this time around.

Initial Review 6 weeks ago:

" We got new windows installed August of 2023 and the window quality ( the window itself not the work) is very poorly and cheaply made. WE PAID over 30K for these!!!

We got the crank windows which are a bit more expensive.
With in the first couple weeks the locking and latching would not work on the windows or the sliding door.
And within couple months the crank pieces started falling apart.

Hanson's have already visited once within a year and now i have another service request out for broken cranks.. they literally fell apart sitting there .. NOT EVEN BEING USED.

I will write again once this visit is done and what they do to fix the issue/s and if the fix is permanent or a band aid fix."

Sales was absolutely wonderful. Communication was good, the process explained and all things gone over until there were issues. The install was scheduled. Hours before the install was supposed to take place it was canceled. We were told the installer was ill. They only have 1 in Boone apparently. Already had time off scheduled to be there to let them in. Rescheduled for two weeks later. Once the installer began there were issues and it took over a month to get them all resolved. I understand things need to be adjusted but no recourse on the wait so we just didn’t have a shower. Will not be using this company again.
