Jake installed my new walk-in shower. He did an AWESOME job. Every step of the way he showed me anything I needed to know for my future use of the shower. He also custom fit the shower head, grab bars, and fold-down seat to suit me ergonomically. He put a sleek, bullnose finish on the front edge of the enclosure. The caulk he used was a perfect match and he applied it so that it blends right in. He was able to use the black shower system that I bought separately; it's a perfect match with my 1940s industrial-style decor. I am extremely happy with the outcome; my new shower is GORGEOUS. Excellent results like these depend on the talent and dedication of the person doing the installation. I highly recommend YHIC to anyone wanting to have work done on their bathroom, and I commend them for having Jake on their team.

The installers were great and did a great job. The rest of the company isn’t that great. Trying to figure out when our payments start (when we signed the contract or after the install was complete?) We got different answers from those we asked. Four times I’ve requested copies of our signed contracts and the salesman hasn’t sent them. There have been other questions he won’t answer either - he told us we’d get a certain kind of shower valve (which we wanted) and we didn’t get it. You pretty much get no service from the sales team once you sign the contract. Won’t recommend them to anyone.

It has now been One year since I signed the contract for new windows in my home. The whole process has been a complete disappointment. I have one window that was damaged either in shipping or during installation. I asked three times prior to installation if the interior trim would be disturbed to which I was assured that it wouldn’t. Turns out all of it was. The windows were measured wrong and now I either have to fix or replace a considerable amount of damage. I would absolutely not recommend this company for windows.

Jake was very professional and insisted on putting protection on our carpet even though we told him he didn’t need to. Drew has been very pleasant to work with.

Drew did awesome when he came on the initial consultation. YHIC delivered on everything they said they were going to do and the walk in shower turned out great! Highly recommend

YHIC came to our home with a wonderful presentation and were very professional, took their time explaining everything and were very patient with us. From the start of the job to the end all the guys did an excellent job!! Wow!! The guys that did all of this for us were Tyler, Anthony and Ricardo. Anthony did all the plumbing. He did an unbelievable job!! Ricardo did the demolition and install. Oh my, what a fantastic job he did!! Tyler came over several times to make sure all was going ok. I was very appreciative of Tyler doing that. That meant the world to me!! All the guys were very meticulous and professional with their work from start to finish. They did a fantastic and extraordinary job!!! Wow!!! Awesome!! I'm very, very happy and satisfied with the job YHIC completed!!!

UPDATED…. Dropped to 1-star as this scam of a company has never made any attempt to fix the problems from install or address their over charges! Zero stars because they won’t stop asking for a 5-star despite being less than 1-star quality!

Terrible communication. Dishonest scheduling when asking why their techs were not there when scheduled. Threatened with legal action when I tried to cancel the appointment due to their failure to show up after several hour and unable to reschedule at their demand. Final product looks ok but definitely NOT worth $13k. You can get the same result from the big box hardware store and pay a contractor yourself! Plumber failed to secure the shower head pipe so it floats in the wall. Shower tub creaks and isn’t level. Was offered an $1000 veteran/military but that seemed to all but disappear after they tried to “add-on” $1375 in extra charges that I never agreed too. Only a 2 star because the installer was pleasant. Would never do business with this company again.

Jake was our installer and he did a wonderful job. He answered all our questions and was very nice and courteous. They did forget our shower curtain rod but did their best to have it to us within a few days and james baker (our salesman) brought it to us and installed it perfectly. We love our new shower experience!

We are so happy with remodel consultant Drew. He knew what he was talking about, and there was no pressure to purchase anything. Nick, the installer, did a great job installing our new tub. It took 2 days, and we hardly knew he was here. When he left, everything was cleaned up, no mess. We are very happy customers.

I have no complaints about Matt and Drew. Would use them again and share their names for the great work that did. They both went over and above what was needed. They are both keepers.

Matt was pleasant and did a very great job on my bathroom remodel. He was upset about one tile being split and that was a delay but it worked out well. I love my new walk in shower! We were so impressed with the quality of work that Pat Hanford did for us on the remodel of our bathrooms! He is a true craftsman and it shows in his work and attitude! We wouldn’t hesitate to have him back!

I placed an order with this company to have a shower install for august of 2024. Between ordering the wrong supplies, waiting for material and an available install date I finally had a finished shower in January of 2025. Less than two months later one of the shelves fell off. Time to return and correct this is set for a month after the problem occurred. Currently not very hopeful for a good result from this repair considering how this whole process has been. The sell you on a lifetime warranty, but they don't tell you about the lifetime of problems.

Matt and Antonio put in a tub shower for us in 2 days. Both are very awesome people to work with. Answered all of our questions and did not in the slightest make us feel like we were impeding their work. Very professional. We would highly recommend them

I hired YHIC to replace a shower/tub with a walk in shower for my elderly mom. From the sales rep, Sean to the installer, Dave, the whole process was great. There was a delay in delivery but that was beyond anyone’s control. Their products are sound and the workmanship was excellent. Sean also followed up for any feedback. I would definitely recommend YHIC for your bath remodel needs.

A very informative and well educated visit. My wife and I are very excited Tyler came by to make sure we are taken care of, with the most energy efficient, as well as cost efficient solution to our problem. We absolutely recommend this business for honest and quality business.

At our initial meeting Sean Mowell was very thorough in explaining what to expect and answered all of our questions. He was not high pressure, just very informative. After we decided to do the installation he kept us informed each step of the way; The company emailed us when the product was ordered; when it would be manufactured and when it would be arriving in Rapid City. Sean even stopped by a time or two to see if we had any additional questions or concerns. When the product arrived in Rapid City they reviewed each item to be sure it was exactly as ordered so we would not have any problems during installation. Then they called us to schedule an installation date.
Nick Finney was the installer. He was very courteous, efficient and thorough in doing the installation. He cleaned up after the job was completed and even went above and beyond in detail work.
My wife and I had had a terrible experience with a previous bathroom remodel in another city. So we were a little gun shy about the end result. Your Home Improvement Company met all of our hopes and did an excellent job in this project and we would definitely recommend them to anybody else who needs a bathroom remodel. Placed order August 2023-4 simple windows - still waiting for completion 11 months later. They’ve been out 3-4 times and still have failed to complete my project. How do I get this project completed - small claims court ‍♀️??? Frustrated and so disappointed. Poor Customer service. Certainly not living up to Guarantee.

Tyler, Tim, and the rest of the guys did a remarkable job replacing all of the windows on my daughter's house. I would happily recommend you guys to everyone.

On a special review I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Tyler who went above and beyond to help me. I am 72 and fell at home on the day Tyler and Tim came over. I was unable to get up or call for help. I laid on the floor for an hour until Tyler came in. He called my daughter for me and then the ambulance and then he sat on the floor and talked to me until help arrived. I ended up having surgery for a broken femur in my right leg and am still in recovery. God bless you Tyler, your are a very special young man!

Update 5-17-24: I stand by what I said about Tyler, but over the months after installation we noticed several problems. Whatever they use to encase the windows was not done right on many of the windows. My bedroom window had so much cold air coming in that I checked it to make sure that it wasn't open (so much for airtight)!!

We have been trying since the first of the year or sooner, to get things fixed. We have had two gentlemen come out to check things, make notes, and agree is was sloppy work. Appointments were made to send a crew to fix things but nobody has shown up. The last one missed was yesterday. Apparently they forgot to schedule it. And now they are SCHEDULED all next week and don't know when they can come. Apparently we don't matter to them. Their lifetime warranty Apparently means it will take a lifetime to get them to respond! I guess the next step is the Better Business Bureau.

Turned out to be a Cinderella story. At first, we were thinking of cancelling due to the fact that the install had taken a little longer than anticipated, spotted one leak, and the communication was concerning with the installer momentarily but once we spoke with Johnny, we had Mathieu back over within minutes AND Johnny is getting the leak fixed too!
