These guys live up to their ad. I had a water leak that got into the wall so both a bedroom and bath had to be removed. Joe Havener, Josh Stietz and Mike Stafford went above and beyond to get my bathroom (old lady needs a bathroom in the house ;) ) in working order and it looks great. Thank you, I highly recomend ServPro.
I woke up in the middle of the night to discover a water pipe had burst under my kitchen sink, flooding both my kitchen and basement for who knows how long. Water filled up the vent under the sink and was pouring out of light fixtures and vents downstairs—basically, my own personal indoor waterfall.
I called SerPro, and to their credit, they showed up quickly to start the water abatement process. Before they even began, I made it clear just how much water I had already dealt with (I’d dumped six full 20-gallon shop vacs by myself—so, yeah, a lot).
But did they listen when I told them they needed to remove the basement sheetrock where water was coming through? Of course not. Same story with the bowed ceiling—ignored. Instead, they ran fans, heaters, and dehumidifiers for three days before finally taking down part of the ceiling and a section of the wall. By then, the damage was done, and everything had to be replaced anyway. If they’d just done what I suggested from the start, it probably would have shaved at least a day off the drying process (which took five days total).
And it gets better: when removing cabinets, they decided to rip a huge floor-to-ceiling unit off the wall without even bothering to unscrew it. Result? The entire cabinet collapsed, shelving and all. As for the baseboards and countertops, they just tossed those outside—in the rain, naturally. Unsurprisingly, those were ruined, even though there was plenty of empty space in the basement (aside from their fans) where they could have been stored safely. Oh, and the kitchen island? They waited until day three to even bother elevating it, so that had to be replaced as well.
Bottom line: SerPro managed to cause about as much destruction as the original flood. Would not recommend. Maybe that's why they didn't have us fill out a Certificate of Satisfaction survey. Didn't want a record of the poor performance.
Had Mario come out to inspect our home for mold the very same day we called. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions thoroughly and honestly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for any water damage/remediation needs as it will be the only service I'll personally ever use
