Surprisingly, by Monday morning, before 9 am, a technician was already at my doorstep attentively addressing all my concerns. Jackie, the technician, was truly exceptional. Within a mere two hours, she not only resolved my concerns but also provided a solution for my HVAC issues, ensuring everything was functioning seamlessly before she left. Throughout the entire process, Jackie wore a constant smile, creating an atmosphere that conveyed genuine care for me and my concerns. Importantly, there was no attempt to upsell additional items; instead, they even took the time to guide me on improving my HVAC system going forward. A/C went out while I was out of town and these fine folks had me up and running the next day. They took a look at my equipment, and told me there was no need to upgrade anything. Fixed my capacitor, cleaned up the unit, and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Thank you!

My outside a.c. unit stopped working. I had gotten a service tech out to help me from another company in sioux falls. The company I reached out to told me my furnace/ac were both shot! They told me it was irreparable and that I'd be spending over $10k just to get it all running again.

I felt like I needed a 2nd opinion, so I went with Thorson.

It was by far the best choice I could've made in my situation. Not only did they answer my call almost immediately, they had somebody out to me almost immediately too!

Long story short, he was here for less than 2 hours and had everything running again perfectly for less than $200!!

Better believe this will be the only company I call for my hvac needs.

The after hour service is the BEST. even if they’re full for the day, they still have that extra time spot. It’s an extra 100$ but worth not dying of a heat stroke ;)

We needed a new connection to our propane tank. After contacting many businesses that said no, Thorson said yes. They came when they said they would and did a great job. Their people are friendly and professional. Now I know who to call for HVAC issues. Highly recommend!

Thorson came out for a same day repair on the day before Christmas Eve. They had to climb the roof in -36 F windchill to chip ice from our chimney in the dark so we could have heat for Christmas. I highly recommend this business, they're the best.

My furnace was making an awful noise, and they were able to come out same day and get me taken care of. Very Courteous and Professional.

If I could give literal gold stars to Rob Thorson, I would. My heat went out and my house was down to 50 degrees overnight. I just had surgery a few days ago and could barely move around to figure out what caused it. He came out right away in the morning and figured out that I needed a new motor. He said he would go back to the shop to quote one for me and see if he had it in stock. He did! He came out a few hours later and installed the new one for me lickidy split! My house was warming up in no time. He was professional, kind and reliable. I will never use another company. Him and his team do things right! Thank you so much Rob!

I met Mr Thorson in June of 2021, a hot Friday evening and the AC system crapped out. Mr Thorson came out late in the evening and got things running. I was amazed that we got it fixed on short notice late on a Friday.
The next June (this year) same story, we discussed replacing the system and both agreed it was a good idea.
Installation day I was surprised to meet Jackie, as the installer.
She and her assistant (female assistant) did a fine job.
I would highly recommend this local family business to anyone looking for help on any HI/Vac system. They are knowledgeable, prompt and in general great people to deal with.

I had called Lowe's and another company for quotes before Thorson since my air-conditioning was out. both companies only gave me a quote for a new system.
When I called Thorson, Jackie came out the same say and got my system running again right away. It's not completely fixed because yes I will need a new system but she got it to function again at 60% efficiency enough us to cool us down n this 90 degree temperature whole we get the new stuff figured out. It was awesome!

Zane with Thorsons was VERY thorough in looking at our heating/cooling to see what the problem was. He was quick to return calls and clearly communicated what was going on.
He worked on 4 of our vents to make them more efficient. He probably left the areas he worked on cleaner then when he arrived. He and his co-worker were very friendly and did a fantastic job. We now have more airflow then we ever did. Our air conditioner runs less which equals money saved. We also don't have to run 4 floor fans to move the air around. We are beyond thrilled and thankful for this companies work. We would use them again.

We called Thorson when our AC went out in the middle of July (with temps in the 90s), and Jackie was here in less than two hours of our call. Jackie was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and quick - she had our AC back up and running in an hour’s time! Thank you!

I was referred by family to them when trying to fix my parents air conditioner. I bought an electric motor from them and was assured it was the correct one for my parents air conditioner. It was not! I went back the next day to return it and was only then told by the owner that all electrical sales are final. I never even took it out of the box. It was easy to see it wasn’t the right shaft. I am a licensed electrical contractor from the area, so I fully understand a policy like that, but I was misinformed from the start and now I have to pay for it. They must need the 400 bucks a lot more than me I guess.

Thorson Heating & Air Conditioning is the best. Both times I needed them they came the same day and fixed my issue no problem. Great company with excellent customer service.

I have called and left several messages and emailed, they will not call me back or send me an email. I have spent over $1000 in repairs all together for two visits. I have asked for a HVAC diagnostic letter for google nest on the thermostat they say burned out my motherboard on my furnace. I was told they would email it to me and still haven’t received it. With the amount of money I have spent and my house was 80 degrees the last two days, I am not very happy. I don’t have the nest thermostat installed anymore either.

They came and replaced my furnace but told me nothing about needing combustion air vents till after I failed my inspection. I setup 2 appointments for them to come check it out and see what we can do to resolve it but they never showed up. 2 months later down the road I speak to them about possibly adding those in and they wanted to charge me more. For someone who’s been in this business for 30+ years I assumed they knew everything that was needing to be done and get it right the first time but I guess not. They wasted my time and I will not recommend them to anyone.

My furnace stopped delivering heat in my new home. Thank goodness Thorson Heating had stickers on my furnace so that I knew who to call. It was 49 degrees in my home and 10 degrees outside. Rob arrived timely and quickly determined the issues of my furnace. He had to pick up the parts which would not be available until the next day. He went back and got me 2 space heaters. I went to sleep warm and comfortable that night. Next morning he installed the parts lickety split! He's won my loyalty and appreciation for life!

My neighbor recommended this company. Im new to the area and Im also from out of state. By far these are the niceset most courteous and professional peolpe I have meet. I set up an appt for an inspection specifically asking for a time and day, and never showed up. The day I called I asked to make sure that time/day worked because of the specific time frame we we working with and he said yes. He did not care that he could not give out of the office to make it to the inspection.

Our furnace motor ended up seizing at midnight on one of the coldest days during the 2019 polar vortex. Called for emergency service and got Jackie. She showed up quickly and immediately knew what was wrong. It didn't take her long, and our furnace was back up and running! Cannot thank Thorson's and Jackie enough for their knowledge and quick work. Highly recommend to anyone needing HVAC repaired and maintenance.
