Great place to get your car fixed. Got mine fixed fast and looks better than before. Alway kept in touch with me on the progress of my vehicle. Thank you star collision. Car looks bran new! Could use a vending machine in the front if your waiting but ther is a sonic walking distance.

I have used Star Collision a couple times and I always have a great experience. Chris is always so helpful and informative. I’ve taken 3 different vehicles there for mechanical repairs and have always gotten everything fixed the first time. There was one time it stayed a lengthy amount of time because of national back order issues (during Covid) I couldn’t drive that vehicle at that point anyways (transmission). It was safe on their property! My warranty is accepted there and they are reasonably priced if the work isn’t covered by warranty. I would recommend these guys all day!

I have 3 vehicles being repaired. One is complete and runs like it did before it went out. Made payments on it. They completed the job in a timely manner. I have no complaints. They communicate very well and keep me updated on all vehicles, and they won't repair the problem until they've talked with you. Pricing to me is reasonable, but they do go over options if applicable⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WARNING: Avoid Star Collision in Farmington at All Costs

If you’re ever in an accident or need bodywork, do not take your vehicle to Star Collision. I want to share my experience as a cautionary tale for others.

I was T-boned in an accident on February 28th, and my car was dropped off at Star Collision on March 5th. I initially wanted the car taken to Ziems Body Shop, but GEICO told me they don’t work with them. From the start, communication with Star Collision has been a nightmare.
• Three weeks after drop-off, I called Star asking for a mechanics report. Cody, the GEICO insurance handler there, rudely dismissed me without even asking for my car details or any identifying information. His exact words: “We haven’t inspected it yet; when we do, we’ll call you.” Spoiler: They never called.
• My insurance representative, my sister, and I had to hound them repeatedly for a month just to get an estimate to see if repairs would even be approved. After all that, they finally inspected the car, did the estimate, tore the panels off for the inspection, and then parked it right back out back where it’s been sitting untouched ever since.
• Once repairs were approved, I was told the car would be ready by April 18th, according to updates from my insurance—not Star. I received no updates from Star Collision directly.

Today, April 21st, I went in for an update because I hadn’t heard anything. The front desk told me the guy handling GEICO cars was out for lunch and gave me no details about my car. Frustrated, I decided to check the lot myself. My car is still completely torn apart, sitting on blocks, untouched since the estimate. To make matters worse, the passenger window is now busted out—something that wasn’t damaged before.

This has been almost two months since the accident, and Star Collision has shown the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They’re rude, unprofessional, and clearly not prioritizing their customers.

Save yourself the stress and frustration—take your car anywhere else but here.

Please do not take your vehicle there. I had 2 vehicles (back to back) there for repair. Di not realize they are so bad with returning phone calls or answering their phone. Even after leaving multiple voicemail, no one still don't call you back. I was left in the dark and they provided no update to me. No advocacy or COMMUNICATION!!! I will share my story with whoever on their bad services.

After my husband's car incident (see previous review here) once again Progressive on uses Star Collison for their claims. The insurance carrier of the driver who caused the accident only had $10000 liability. So we used our insurance (Progressive). I got an estimate and scheduled my repair. I knew it would be long since it was the whole back end of my 2021 Ford Explorer.

I drove a rental around and close to 4 weeks in I spoke to Ryan. He said it would be ready possible on a Friday. Friday came and went. Next Tuesday Ryan from Star Collison called and said while assembling the parts they scratched a part and needed to order an entire new part of see if the local Ford Dealership had one in stock. That was this week the week of July 12-19.

I was also told it probably would need to go to a muffler shop to see if the exhaust needed straitening or an entire piece. Mind you this is 5 weeks already. Well today Friday July 19 I got a call and they said my car was ready. I dropped my rental off and got a ride to Star Collison.

They told me right off the bat I needed to reschedule it to get a piece repainted. Apparently, they scratched a part again on assembly. I was ok fine. I looked at the repair and the gaps were all wrong on every possible side. The Rear door was down and wasn't flush with the roof. I was told in the estimate with progressive that they used a 3rd part rear bumper and not a Ford OEM part. I drove it home and had my husband look at it. And it was way worse than what I initially thought. The bumper gaps were everywhere. One side 1/8" and the other side 3/16". So much so you could see into the vehicle. My husband crawled under the check things and parts were not even secured. Just flopping in the wind. Make you wonder about electronics like rear camera and rear bumper sensor or brake lights etc that could be potentially cause an accident.

This is after they had it 5 weeks. I wouldn't even call them professional. They make the entire auto body industry look horrible. I wouldn't have gone here if Progressive only worked with them in this area.

My suggestion is if your insurance says you have to use them. Get a new insurance carrier. Cause this is the only reason they are in business is because a major car insurance uses them.

Don't even let the thought of them touching your vehicle, damaged or otherwise. I was in a parking lot fender bender. I have a 2019 Ford F150 which has aluminum construction. The Ford dealership did a quote, but they didn't work with my insurance (progressive). They said the only worked with Star Collison. Not a problem I thought. In both quotes I needed an entire new bed side. I dropped my truck off and pretty much kept it. I am a Service-Connected Disabled Veteran (getting to that later). I knew they had to order a bed side and other parts underneath and remove the bed. I was in a rental for 4 weeks. Apparently, they just kept the vehicle until the parts arrived. Which made me angry. Me and my wife called Ryan (no idea what his title is) I explained I was frustrated and what the holdup was. He said just waiting on parts and I told him I knew that but why did it take (then 3 weeks) to get parts. I also told him I have PTSD and was a service-connected veteran and he just laughed on the phone. I kid you not. I just had to leave it and hope for the best.

Got news my truck was ready and me and my wife went down to pick it up. I checked the gaps. and They were ok. Paint was a bit wavy but it's a black truck and I let it go.

5 weeks into having my truck I had a first car wash. I noticed a chunk of paint missing near the rear tire. Yep, bare aluminum. Called my wife and she spoke to Ryan again and said they would schedule it to be repaired.

Aluminum is hard to paint I get it but when Ryan looked at it he said he would warranty the paint. Like it was the paint's fault for not adhering to the aluminum. I am not a dummy.

Still no repaint schedules. That paint flaking off was in May 11th. Still no reschedule, not that I would trust it.

Paint and work are warrantied for a year. Says all you need to about their entire business.

I really debated giving this review a 2 or 3 stars, the work they did on my vehicle turned out great but the customer service is what made me choose 2 stars. Star collision had my vehicle for almost 2 months, which whatever everyone else around Pagosa was further out. They said to reach out a month later, so After a month I contacted them saying I would be going out of town so if my car was to be ready I needed to make arrangements with the rental company. Ryan White told me let’s plan on getting you back in your vehicle on a Tuesday. When I arrived Tuesday after traveling all day Monday, he was surprised and told me my vehicle wasn’t ready…after we had just driven 2 hours to get there. They then gave me a loaner car of theirs and said it’d be another week. The following week Ryan called and said it would be ready Wednesday to pick up, due to short notice and my work schedule I said I wouldn’t be able to pick it up until Monday morning, and I worked at 4 that day, he said that was fine pick it up sometime in the morning. Come Monday morning, I’m 15 minutes away and who’s calling me, Ryan, saying my vehicle won’t be ready until 3. How is it that it was going to be ready Wednesday and now it’s not? I ended up waiting 4 hours for my vehicle to be “detailed” I don’t know exactly what that intel’s to them but it looked the exact same as when I dropped it off almost 2 months ago. He did end up giving me $100 check for gas inconvenience and changed my vehicles battery. I would advice people to not take their business here, their lack of communication and awareness for other peoples time is seriously lacking and needs major improvements.

I had to deal with Tiffany who handled all the GEICO insurance cases and I could never get her on the phone or a call back. I had to show up to their office three times in order to get an update. She pushed my finished date back three times so my car ended up being there from October 3 to November 1st. I do not recommend this place at all. There’s other auto body repair shops that quoted me two weeks like Auto Specialties Body and Paint on San Juan Blvd.

Didn't communicate well about repairs or delay of repairs car was left outside with all windows down and my car was messed still had bubbles in the door trim and they didn't put the bumper lip on on the way oooh yea and mysteriously I have a rear door lock actuator that went out in the three week and a half weeks they had my vehicle(quoted at a 5 day estimate).

Not great about customer service. We are the type of customers that like to be updated now and then on progress. We spoke to them 3 weeks ago because we called and were told it was stuck in paint. We were headed out of town and we’re hoping to get it back before we left. Still have not heard a thing. We will be home in 2 days. I don’t know why we are the ones that have to call and ask how things are going.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! My insurance chose Star Collision to repair my front passenger fender. It was just dented up from a small car accident i was in a couple months ago. I dropped my car off on Aug 7th. On Thurs the 17th they called and said i could of got my car on Fri the 18th but their painter put in his notice, and that the next Wednesday it would be done. So Wednesday rolls around and they call telling me to pick my car up at 5pm, they call again leaving a message saying that they put my fender on someone else's car, and they put that person's fender on mine, and that my fender is now painted white! So I had to come the next day (thurs) to pick it up. I go there and I owe a$100 deductible and I asked for a discount for their f up. The lady asked and the guy said he'd take care of it. So I was happy about that. I drove my car down the road and I here a loud clicking noise I roll my windows down and it was so loud. So I call them back and they tell me to bring my car back in tomorrow to take a look at it. I bring my car back in this morning and the guy tells me to take him for a ride so he can hear it. So I'm driving around the parking lot, he's not saying anything, and I'm like well can you hear it? He told me he couldn't hear anything! So i drive down the road behind the business going a little faster and I could hear it real good, the noise gets louder when I pass a tree.i asked him again and he said he couldn't hear anything, and he doesn't know what I'm talking about. That was so weird. I feel like he was lying. It was loud and obvious. So I asked well can I take someone else for a ride that can hear. He's like yea let's go back. So we go inside and he talks to another guy. Then he tells me they're just going to take my car in the back and lift it. 20 minutes later a different guy comes out and tells me they fixed the problem and I'm like are you sure this time? DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANYTHING!

Received vehicle after repair with; loose front bumper bolts, missing; retaining clips, screws, bed side panel bracket. Inside the cab there was dust and debris from sanding and grinding. A mouse entered at some point and crapped under the seats and center console. Front driver door window tint was scratched, the rear door panel handle was damaged. The replaced tire and wheel is vibrating the entire truck. Other than that it was repaired. Three stars. Oh, and I hear the road and wind from the repaired side panels.

Trent was always helpful and provided updates. Even though the repairs took about a month (mechanical, body, and paint) due to the holidays and waiting for parts, I never felt like they weren't providing great service. My car looks and works great (almost as if nothing happened)!

I had gotten into am accident back in September 2022 and I was calling around to see who could take me in. I called here and they told me exactly who would be handling my case and what to expect. They also informed me they will tow my car from wherever it was at. It was pretty quick. The same day I called they sent out a tow truck piclwd up from my home on the rez and Eddie kept me updated through the months. My car was in there for 3 months and he gave me the option to pay my deductible all at once or in payments while the car was in the shop. The receptionist was so nice!! They even took out the broken parts that I out into my car so no one else got hurt. I referred all my family here. My insurance was Dairyland and they accepted it. #304854

My front bumper was smashed in. Was rubbing against the tire and could not turn fully. Called around for auto repair shops in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Albuquerque, they gave me 2-3 months to get my truck in and more time to repair it. Star Collision said a month. They had me back on the road in 3 weeks. They did a great job with repairs. You can’t tell there was anything wrong with my truck at all. The quality of service is amazing, the staff is friendly. Got turned away by High Country Kia Mitsubishi to check grinding sound when turning right. Was told it would cost $135.00 an hour to check vehicle and appointment would be 2 to 3 weeks out. Went to Star Collision and service manager David came out and listened to the grinding noise and immediately had our vehicle put on a ramp for evaluation. He provided us information on the problem and a quote to repair the problem. He gave us an appoint for 8 am the following day and true to his quotation the repair and alignment needed was done in 2 1/2 hours. Star Collision, you guys are truly God's gift to car owners. I will definitely return for any service needed for my vehicles.

I wish my experience was better. I got with Tiffany on getting my car work on. I gave her all the information she wanted and I waited for her. I emailed and called for weeks. I return back a month later and she said she hasn’t got to it. Two more months went by, she then said the same thing. Very Un-professional and when they think they can’t make money on a job. They don’t do nothing at all. Tiffany is a bad person to work with. If you can go somewhere else do so.

First off the manager was rude. And on top of that truck appointment for a diagnostic test scheduled in the morning took all day. Arriving at the store 5:15 pm one guy said I can't give you your keys back all the mechanicals left for the night so come back tomorrow. Well the mechanical or manager should've called to let us know it's staying the night. We waited all day for no calls and to be told to come back tomorrow.. Unprofessional, rude and overly priced.

Wow, is all I can say. I called ahead of time because I needed a quote on some work. I was asked if it was going to go thru insurance, I explained no. The young lady said that I needed to come between 8-4pm. So I show up the next day at 12:30pm and was asked the same question, if I was going thru my insurance. I explained that the damage was very small and wanted to pay out of pocket. I was told that they are pretty busy and since insurance was priority, it would be a long time before I could get in. I asked her what was the difference between cash and insurance. I was told that insurance was big money. So if I would go thru my insurance. Sounds like they would bilk it for all it’s got. She further proceeded to tell me that she would try to get someone to look at my vehicle, but it was lunchtime. She was very rude and then tries to make up for it by directing me to another business. I can tell you if I ever have to actually have major work done on my vehicle. It will be done somewhere else. You lost my business and I will be sure to pass the word around.

I took my vehicle in on Monday at 8am per schedule. Told it would be done by Tuesday. CalledTiffany the manager of paint and body. My truck hadn't even been worked on yet. Called Wednesday, 2pm my truck was just getting pulled out of paint booth. I asked if I could have pictures of my truck . Tiffany denied me. Finally Thursday my truck was ready for pu. Nobody walked me out to my truck to show what was done. I PD. My bill and went to my truck. It would not start . After the third time it started. Came home, and my truck would not start. Called Tiffany and told her I popped my hood and clearly saw that my battery was compromised. She informed me that sometimes the shop leaves a c door open, and possibly drained my battery. My battery was fine when I went in, and dead when I left. She told me she has 300 to 400 of vehicles to deal with and if my vehicle needed to be jump started She doesn't have time to inform customers they drained their battery's. I asked if I could get anywhere from starbcollision, and she said no! I called my insurance. Had a tow truck service come to my home, got jump start, went to auto zone, and had to get a new battery. 200.00 dollars. , when there was nothing wrong with my battery 4 days prayer. Tiffany was rude and expressed no concern. My insurance Co. Advised me to take this to magistrate court.

Left my door open ruined my battery had it running when I show up then shut off won't start call star the rude lady at the front told me they have hundreds of cars they jumped my truck they don't have time to tell me they ruined my battery and Jumpstart a truck never been jump started. Only 50,000 miles on a 2012. Very rude and unprofessional.

I had a bit of a fender bender that they repaired. They weren't completely satisfied with the repair and kept it an extra day to get it to their satisfaction. I could not be more pleased. Staff was friendly and reassuring. I have Mastiff that drools everywhere and they even cleaned the drool off the inside of my doors. Gross, I know but I am super impressed and very grateful!

I had to return to Star not even a year later for a separate incident and am still very much pleased with the job they did this time. Had an issue with a little over spray this time but they were quick to fix it and keep me happy. My car looks amazing!

I’ve been to many repair shops before and it’s normally draining and exhausting. I dropped my nova for repairs and AC work expecting it to be there for a long time. Not only did they work very quickly and professionally, they didn’t leave a mess like most places do! AND they did it with a smile. Chris is such an asset to this team! He works great with customers, I would absolutely come back again and “Do The Deal” with Chris and his team at Star Collision!
