Bought a brand new red lion jet pump it did not work I was just asking for a exchange the manager said I would have to wait for the manufacture which can take weeks even though their return policy says I can get the exchange so raks DONT STAND BY THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL I can’t wait that long so now I have to buy a new pump at a corporate store DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT RAKS especially if that item is over 100

If you are going to be twice the price of Home Depot, at least be more convenient.
Paid at the counter, go out back to grab the item, have receipt checked by a guy there, and then still get run down in the parking lot and treated rudely because they didn’t take the right piece of paper from me.

I called to have 10 4x 8's & 20 cinder blocks delivered 5 minutes away - they were not understanding with my situation being a senior lady that needs to protect my home from the cold nights (only have help to place them tomorrow as my skirting is damaged), They refused to deliver until next wk - when person to help me can only be here tomorrow.

A local building and hardware supply store with great staff. As soon as you enter the store, someone is there to greet you and assist as necessary. A wide variety of DIY tools, construction tools, hardware for any task and lumber and other construction materials in a large yard staffed with personnel ready to assist with loading and locating materials needed. There is a large paint section ready to mix any color required. A great, local hardware store.

6/13/2025 - RAKS continues to provide excellent customer service by greeting patrons at the door and asking if the individual needs assistance. Counter staff are always friendly and efficient. The military discount is very much appreciated!

RAKS provides service! You are usually met by an employee soon after coming into the building so they can help you find what you need.

Beware, this company price gouges people. Bought 2x3x8 and they charged me 8.10 each. Home Depot sell exact same for 2.99 each. They refunded for half of the 100 dollar over charge. Beware, it is worth the drive into town on just about everything. I'm going to avoid this place from now on. 20 dollars on an 8 foot post, home Depot 12.

The staff went above and beyond to help me. Especially the ladies who tried to help me fit something in my car. Thank you soo much!

Excellent customer service, I was greeted right away and asked if they could help me find what I was looking for. The store is very well stocked. I always get what I came looking for.

Extremely disappointed with this location. We called this morning to verify if they had some chain link in stock. The lady i spoke to confirmed the size, pricing and qty in stock. She told me they had five available. I told her we would be in to pick one up. We arrive at the store and the lady at the register had issues pulling the chain link up. Told us only one available so we said great that’s all we need. She asked another employee to come over to confirm and the other employee rudely stated all of them are sold you cannot purchase them. I then asked why did they tell us over the phone to come in since they were available. She stated no they are already paid for. No I am sorry you were given bad information or that we don’t have them. So rude and we had planned our day around getting this fencing. We wanted to give a local area business but will never return. Buyers beware if you call in and they tell you they have something they are unaware of what stock they have.

Staff at yard just threw my purchase in the truck, I was not given a chance to pick and choose straight lumber without severe defects. Half of the boards either had severe twists or need almost a half inch taken off at the jointer to make a clean edge. Beside that 2x4 were only 6 bucks at Lowe's and 8 at Raks. I paid a premium to buy local and didn't get to at least pick my boards. Staff member did not even speak to me. Beside that I had to purchase my lumber before going to the yard to look at it. Don't recommend purchase of lumber at this supplier.

I lead with a smile, they crush it with nasty. This sixth time, I walked away without leaving my money in their pockets. Guess I can drive to the next town in the future, because capitalism.

Most the employees are really helpful amd friendly, some are not, but overall I enjoy the ease of asking questions and getting the quick and courteous response. Great variety, especially this close to home!

Because Raks is a locally owned business I always check there for tools and supplies before heading into town to HD, and it’s amazing how many things they actually have, considering how comparatively small it is. It’s also pretty easy to get help which I usually need and which saves a lot of time. I had a very positive experience at the South Valley store as well.

What I love is I can walk in and ask I need a b c and d. They will show me each. Prices are more than ABQ but time and miles saved make it worth it. Staff are usually very nice and owners take care of employees. I wish they would support more community events.

It was ok checkout was not up to par there was 3 checkers and I was the only one in line and still had to wait, the just look at you .next time abq.

This was my first time there in years. I was looking for stain for a wooden bar in a house. The employee who helped us was a super nice guy. He had a good knowledge of the products and did everything he could to make sure we got what we needed. The stain we ended up with was perfect. The store has tons of product. I will definitely go back!

I enjoy the old school feel, for example nails and screws by the pound. Friendly staff too. Always helpful... Unlike the big box stores.

Had all the parts I needed and well organized. I was a little surprised at the prices, but that's the cost of doing business

Great local place. Impressed by the selection and the staff are very friendly and helpful! I prefer doing business here than the box box hardware stores in Albuquerque.

Ok, a bit pricey but in an emergency and not having the time to travel to get needed items it's fine.
