I can't say enough great things about this repair shop!!! We were travelling back to Ontario, Canada on the I-40 and has a spring break on our RV trailer on a Sunday.
We called multiple shops with no answers and finally found Don at East Mountain Auto and RV and he was so kind to fit us in early Monday morning and put all his manpower on our repairs to get us back on the road quickly.
Great service at a very reasonable price and 2 sweet dogs to come and welcome you!

Rv blowout in the middle of nowhere NM.
Insurance was not helpful, so we got the rig to these guys and it was smooth sailing from there.

Honest work, good people, and such a friendly environment. They made a high stress situation and good expirience. Even with my 6 year old running around, it felt like a family helping one another.

If i could give them 10 stars i would and highly reccomend their services. If nothing else, give them a chance so you can meet some good people and say hi to furry friends.

Back on the road now and still smiling.

I highly recommend this place! They are absolutely wonderful! We broke down on our way from CA to MO and they got us back on our way. They couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! Extremely honest, because we had a flashing check engine light that had stopped by the time we got there. They checked it out for over an hour and ran a diagnostic and found some codes but they checked the out what the codes were saying and it came back normal. They didn’t even charge for that. My place back home they automatically charge $150 just to hook you up to a diagnostic! They made an extremely stressful situation so much easier.

Don and Henry are just great people. My wife and I were traveling from California to Alabama when we experienced trouble with our vehicle and Edgewood New mexico. We stopped at one mechanic shop, and in a nutshell basically said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and said we should be fine if we kept going. I didn't feel right with that decision, so we went to East Mountain Auto and Don and his guys checked it out. There was a serious problem with the differential and I'm glad we did not carry on as the other mechanic shop said. We didn't get it fixed, mainly because we're out of town and we went ahead and got it picked up to deliver back home. But I cannot stress how friendly, thorough, and helpful the people at East Mountain Auto have been towards my wife and i. They were quick on the job and gave us multiple options and directions on how to get the front differential replaced or repaired. They even helped us out getting it picked up when we ourselves were in flight towards Alabama. They are good people and honest. We can't thank them enough and maybe one day if we're ever out in edgewood, my wife and I can take them out to supper :-)

Don was super busy, but when I showed up with a disabled Veteran who had no legs he spent his time repairing his electrical system to get him on his way. He wouldn't leave him stranded for his trip all the way to New Jersey. More than that he went out of his way to reassure this Vet that he would do his best for him. There are nice people in the world, count Don on that list.

They have done everything they can to help me fix my car. Offered different price options on tires and making sure I get the most important things done i can afford first. They seem to really care about their customers and want to do what they can so your car is safe for you to drive. They've even been able to find and fix another mechanics mistake.

If I could possibly leave a 20 star rating I would. The people and mechanics at this business are honest professional and very considerate I would never again take my vehicle to anyone else no matter how far I lived. We have used these folks several times and this was just a simple tire repair. They are local, they are thorough, they are qualified, and have always been upfront with everything we have had done there. Great local shop.

Took my RV in for tune up AC refresh, belts etc. Found out a few months no tuneup was done. No new plugs, no new wires, no new distributor coil, and modules. I would no trust he's shop again. Totally disgraceful. I paid over $2000 in work. I believe a bit of a crook. Beware of work not done..!

They took the time to understand my custom van build water system. They also explained how they winterized it so that I can do it myself next year.

I’ve been taking my vehicles here for years and have never been disappointed. Honest people, quality work. I can not stress enough how helpful Don, Henry, and the staff were for me and my mom on the road from Kentucky to California. We had some engine issues and pulled off to the auto zone and learned of our troubles Don and his crew were there for us. Long story short I had to be home by the morning for a family member and they got us in and out in 2-3 hours. Not only did they help us but I swear they are some of the most amazing and helpful people I have ever met. If I didn't l8ve 10 hours away they'd definitely be my go to Autoshop!

I was a walk in stranger from far away searching for a 10 ply tire for a van when I limped into E. Mt. At the end of Don's long Monday he took a half hour to educate me to a more logical option and voided a 2 tire sale. Much appreciate your time and advice.

Simply can not thank East Mountain Auto enough... My 06 Nissan Altima stalled along I-40 West. After cranking for some time it finally started and got me to EMA. Right away, the owner, started doing diagnostic which showed a bad cam sensor. I actually had the part with me. They replaced the part and I was back on the road. I appreciated their professionalism and friendly atmosphere.

In May we stopped at E Mountain Auto & RV Repair because the lights on our travel trailer were not working and we were leaving on a trip. The owner and a tech came right out checked it out. They replaced two fuses and gave us two more as backups in case this happened again. They wouldn't let us pay anything!

Last week we took our car in because our air conditioner had stopped working while on a trip. We had stopped at another business (in Colorado) to get it fixed. We were Charged close to $200 to get an estimate and they wanted to replace the compressor. Happily they didn't have one available so we were able to take it to East Mountain where they found the previous business had overfilled the freon while checking it. That had caused the air to continue not working. So, for a little over $200 East Mountain did troubleshooting, draining and refilling to the proper amount.The air conditioner works perfectly!
We are so impressed with the people at this business. We'll start using them for all our auto and RV needs.

We were moving from Ca to Texas...bought a used RV ... I owned a repair shop in Visalia for 43 Years... so I know a little about cars , trucks etc.. I did the normal things, new brakes , water pump , all cooling hoses , belts , change oil and filter ... tires new .. so off we go .. get to Flagstaff and the Mass Air Flow sensor dies... thank God we we coming off the freeway and coasted to the AutoZone .. changed the MAF and headed out.. Then decided to stop off in Edgewood NM .. got to the Walgreens and the RV took another dive.. This time it turned out to be the fuel pump... Sunday , no one open... now tow available for that size vehicle.. So Nichole from Route 66 Came to our rescue as well as Linda that worked at Walgreens... We stayed at the RV center for about 3 days... Thankfully they had 2 small cabins that we could stay in .. So 6 cats, 2 dogs my youngest daughter and my Wife had a place to stay... Now this is where Don , Lori , Luke and I forgot the name of the last tech in the above cabinet. They were incredible !! Don, a bit dry , was wonderful.. His price was very fair and got us back on the road in a couple of days.. I can not say enough how they helped us. Being an owner myself I understood what they had to to to get it going.. We are so thankful and made it to Texas to our new home safety and without any other issues.. I just read a review that had a 1 star... That is so wrong ... he or she wanted the diagnostic charge refunded.. Saying that other shops do this... No they don't and neither did my shop... We have thousands of dollars invested in our equipment , overhead, information that we have to purchase monthly , mine was $1000 per month , to be able to repair your vehicle correctly and in a timely manner.. The employees do not donate their time and I'm sure this person did not work for free.. I would be "Well John, you worked to 2 hours but I am not going to pay you " what a slap in the face.. These people used to have great prices then it seems after covid they jacked up the prices extremely!

They are now HUGE RIP OFFS,

also the owner was very rude to me and he grabbed my credit card right out of my hand just to place it back on the counter in front of me.

He apologized then was rude again and apologized again,

They charged $360 Dollars To install a $95 part.
Plus charged $37 in shop fees.

They also did not take off the Diagnostic which was $143.00 which anytime we have ever taken a vehicle in anywhere,

It always has been included when you get the service done. He seemed very tired and overworked and the girl there did not really seem to know much and when I asked him about that he said she doesn't really know anything, so why is she working there that's my question!

DO NOT GO THERE!

Find a better place that will treat you right like they used to do.

Lost lights and turn signals on my 13 ft travel trailer. Took me in as an emergency appt. and got me back on the road in no time. Great people, great service.

Don was very personable and professional. My 2008 F250 had a serious "wobble" on the front end that needed to be addressed sooner rather than later. He explained the potential problems and after examining the front end carefully proposed what needed to be done. He kept me appraised of the work being completed and once done, in a timely manner, I found my truck drove much straighter and most importantly was much safer when navigating EM potholes, ruts, washboard roads etc:) Thank you EM Auto!

Don and company were great. Honest and thorough in their work, caring and concerned about us. When presented with an issue with our trailer brakes 4K miles from home, I looked online for an AAA approved mechanic. So thankful that I called E. Mtn Auto.
Due to parts, it was necessary for us to stay a few nights. Don suggested where to stay and what to do while he took care of the repairs. We felt well taken care of.
Don communicated well through the process and saved parts to explain the issues. At the end, we felt safe and well prepared to continue our X-country trip.

Had gone to a Brake Masters and they misdiagnosed my thumping sound as a transmission problem. Called East Mountain Auto late in the afternoon. Don had me bring it in the next morning and correctly figured it to be a wheel bearing issue which is what i had thought. Had it fixed the same day and had me on the road again. I really appreciate this as it is my appliance repair vehicle and down time is lost revenue. Thanks Don.

Don and the folks at East Mountain Auto are excellent; you don't often find businesses like this anymore. After hitting a pothole so hard that I had to replace the entire wheel, Don managed to get the new part swapped in same day. I'll definitely be going back to East Mountain whenever anything like this comes up in the future.

This is a great location automotive shop. They've worked on the transmission in my mom's motorhome and replaced the clutch (yes, I still have a manual transmission car) in my car. Both of these experiences alone would be 4 stars.

Then my husband took his truck in for a code diagnosis. They tried trouble shooting, replaced a sensor, but the issue resurfaced. I don't really fault them for that. It was a complicated issue that we had to go to a dealership to finally get resolved

The bad experience we did have was the mechanic working on the brakes in my husband's truck and was in a bit of a rush to leave for a long weekend and never adjusted the bleeder valve and we lost the brakes on a trip over to Rio Rancho. Luckily, we didn't crash when it happened. The owner/manager did everything to make it right. They fixed the brakes and did some other maintenance repairs for their faulty work and he was going to address the issue with the mechanic. This alone would drop the rating I gave, but their customer service addressed the issue.

I would still recommend this shop and will take my vehicle to them.

this place SAVED ME!!! In the middle of a 20 hour road trip my car stopped functioning correctly. I stopped at the closest mechanic I could find, that happened to be East Mountain! I walked in super stressed out, and was greeting by the kindest, most calming staff. They went above and beyond to make sure I was safe & comfortable & to make sure my car was given the best care possible. I am so thankful I was able to find this place. 10/10 recommend .

I can't speak highly enough of this place! They came to me when I was stranded with fresh groceries - pregnant with 2 small children. My car's battery died in the Walmart parking lot and I called them in distress. They sent a kind mechanic my way to jump my battery so I could avoid being towed away. After that, they charged my battery at the shope and ordered a new one and I was able to make it home all the way in Estancia. This is a wonderful place to have any work done and their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and highly accommodating. I can't thank them enough for helping me when I didn't know how in the world I was going to get us all home.
I will be back for any car needs!

Thankful for our experience with East Mountain Auto and RV Repair AAA recommended their services when our trailer was broke down on I 40. Don and Chris were so very helpful with our repair on our trailer and our truck. Don was diligent in keeping us informed about the repairs and followed up after we picked up our repaired vehicles to assure we were doing well. Sarah was helpful with our tow and locating lodging for the night. Gene and I would highly recommend their business.

I really wish I knew about East Mountain Auto Repair before I took my Subaru anywhere else because my car would have been properly fixed. I needed to get a second opinion by getting a diagnostic and needed to know if it was worth investing more money into my car after another shop epically failed to fix a simple issue and ruined my engine. Don was honest and saved me from spending unnecessary money. Hard to find an honest mechanic these days and I would definitely recommend them to someone else!

Don is my go to since I moved here almost a year ago. He will help you find the best & least expensive answer to your problem.

We are giving them a 5 star review because of a one star left by an unfair customer named Robert Harding. Sorry for your childish attitude that a business didn't put all their other customers aside and cater to you Mr. Harding. yes almost all shops need you to drop off your vehicle for a day. Please disregard any of Robert Harding's reviews or read them carefully as he sounds like a spoiled child. Also we are not associated with East Mountain. I am just trying to protect businesses from this mans ignorance after he left me a one star saying my alignment price was $19. above what he said was the national avg. his price was about 5 or 10 years outdated by the way. I do however know of this business and know they do very good work. And that is coming from another shop in the same business.

Took my Escape in for a transmission cable bushing replacement. They noticed my AC blower motor had an infestation so they cleaned it out and put a seal to keep rodents out of it. Don was very informative throughout the whole process and I would highly recommend them for anyone in the East Mountains and Albuquerque.

These guys were up front and honest with me - Made every effort to fix the problem I had (turned out to be a failed radiator fan) and not sell me anything I didn't need.

We had a trip to Utah coming up. I had a slow leak on a tire, and the kid plugged it. Off we go. If I have any auto problems, I will go there again.

Don and his team have been great to me. I have used their services several times now and they have always been honest with me about cost and options. I was told what the price would be, and when the job was done the price didn't change, like it does some places. I own a 07 f150 with a 5.4, these trucks are notorious for breaking spark plugs, and I didn't want to deal with it myself. They had my truck done in the agreed time frame, at the price quoted, and my truck is much happier now. A few months ago I was losing my belt tensioner, and it was making a terrible noise. I took it in and was told exactly what the problem was, Don told me that he would do the work, but told me I would save alot of money doing it myself, and gave me instructions on how to handle it. Who does that? Someone who cares about his community, someone who cared about the kids riding in my truck, and somebody who isn't just trying to make a buck at someone else's expense. I will keep going here, and really you should too.

If I could make it 20 stars, that would still not be enough. This shop is the best I've ever had the pleasure of taking my r.v. for repair. They got me in as I was traveling from arkansas to California and had engine trouble. They figured out what was wrong, fixed it and were very reasonable on the repair cost. Greatest people ever.

They are excellent, got our motorhome in diagnosed & fix in 1.5 days and got us back on the road. Would use there services anytime. Don is exceptional & very knowledgable.

We were having issues with our class A motorhome on our trip from Arizona to Oklahoma. The RV had no power and barely made it up grades of any size. We stopped in Edgewood and the next day looked for a shop that would help us. We found East Mountain Auto & RV repair and contacted them based on reviews. Don and the motorhome tech Chris did not disappoint. They squeezed us in and Chris found several issues with busted bolts, exhaust issues, burned plug, etc. They hooked us up to power so we could easily stay in our coach at night. Chris worked hard, and in a couple of days, we were able to get back on the road again . I would recommend this shop to anyone. They were absolutely wonderful! We feel like we made friends, not just a great place for repairs. Thank you so much, Mountain Auto & RV repair.

I was recently driving from Los Angeles to Arkansas and damaged a tire and rim. East Mountain Auto and RV repair was very helpful. They helped us find a location which had a tire for our car so we could complete our trip.

I had an RV emergency with my springs being broken and didn't daré drive far. They got me right in and repaired within the week. On top of that, I backed into a tree with my truck and couldn't get my tailgate open, they came to the rescue and fixed it no questions asked. Excellent folks with a great work ethic. Hard to find in these days. Highly recommend them if you ever need a repair.

Our 39ft motorhome shredded a serpentine belt about 70 miles south of Albuquerque on I-25 on the way to Mesa, AZ. With AAA referral to East Mtn, Don was great with phone encouragement and we were able to fix our unit ourselves. A month later, on the way back from AZ heading home to Iowa, our motorhome lost power going through Albuquerque. Don was able to get us in right away, diagnose and fix our issues within 2.5 days. He, Chris, and Lori were absolutely great to work with. I was especially impressed with how I observed him treating well all the customers that either came in or that he talked with on the phone.

Had a tire on mytrailer come off well the whell studs broke. Was on the I40 interstate at 2am was nit sure what i was going to do. At 8 am i found them and called, they were so welcoming even with me in middle of a anxiety attack. Took the trailer to them and they were ablento get parts to repair the trailer. While waiting another customer even assisted me in getting a rim and 2 tires. Would differently recommend them if you ever in area and need help. God bless the staff and the customer that helped me. I cannot thank them enough..

My experience with East Mountain is a little odd as I didn't have them work on my car. My car was at another shop and I was trying to determine if I could have it fixed at a lower price l. Don was very helpful and friendly. He helped me feel better about the whole situation. I will be taking my vehicle to them the next time service is needed.

We got stranded with our RV trailer just outside Edgewood on Thanksgiving Day. We Googled repair shops and East Mountain Auto and RV came up with excellent reviews. Don and his team got us in first thing on Monday after the holiday weekend. They were locating parts by the end of the day. They kept us informed on their progress and had us on the road by Friday afternoon. We also commend them for providing options that would fit our budget.

They provided excellent service and were extremely personable, we were very Thankful to find them.

Took my 05 Tundra in for new timing belt and radiator hoses also oil change they were very thorough and did a great job

After my experience with this buisness I may never go to a auto shop again. First I asked to tighten steering box for loose steering. They advised I need a diagnosis first. They "diagnosed ALL the problems and I said okay fix it all. EXPENSIVE. Diagnoses was over $250... After leaving, the other front end guy was so nice and said if it still feels loose let us know and we will tighten it up (Steering Box) for ya no charge. Weeks later my headlights where messed up.. the look messed up and no right turn signal and steering was still very loose. I went back. Asked them to fix my head lights and wireing problem and tighten the box up for me. The other guy... no no no no! we cant do that we need to fix your rods etc. . I was stunned. He said we only did half of it and until its all done we cant just tighten your box... a QUARTER TURN... I paid over $3000 for diagnoses and to fix, but only half was done??? Why?... a few days later my headlights were not fixed look wise and the electrical problem wasnt either... all the same and they left my head lights on, keys in all night....Battery dead. Once I called them the "not so nice guy" answered, and after me pleading why should I pay more he says it not my fault you wanted after market headlights and had your stwp dad mess them up...... (Which where new and origanal headlights) I decide I shouldnt go back... steering half done, Not Fixed, still wont just take 10 minutes and tighten the box they said they could....headlights Not Fixed, Not Done, wiring Not Fixed, YET at this point well more than $3000 spent.... Nothing fixed... or Half of the problem with steering rods etc... I will say the other customer service guy was soooo nice and helpful. The other was a complete -----------. Do not go there unless you wanna spend a lot, get charged un-fairly and treated like durt by there customer rep. You will not get deals or treated fairly no matter how much you spend, or spent. Please dont make the same mistake I did. Im a hard working man and I had too much trust and faith in them being ligit and honorable. I try to explain it all but its too much. Im willing to pay for quality work and I was treated like dirt. Even the oil change was over $100....

The shop couldn’t repair my fifth wheel roof membrane as they do mechanical repairs, but Don was very helpful in directing me to to quality shops that do those repairs. He also is a great witness to God’s love for us. I look forward to shaking his hand!

These folks were so helpful. I was in a cross country trip with my daughter when her car started acting up. We called, and while they were quite busy, they made time to look at her car. They were honest and let us know what the problem was and that they didn't have the parts right then to fix it. Helped us locate a U-Haul so we could tow the car to the dealership.

We had the best experience with East Mountain Auto and RV repair! We were stranded on a long trip back to Texas and Todd was awesome. He got us in and out and back on the road with no problem. Their staff and hospitality were top notch. I would recommend them to anyone!

I am a single, retired female on a fixed income, with an older vehicle. In a world of unscrupulous auto mechanics, I have often felt like prey. But not at East Mountain Auto and RV Repair in Edgewood, New Mexico. I thank my cousin for recommending to me an honest and trustworthy auto repair shop. Don recently checked my vehicle, found an issue that would have cost me 2,000$, but recommended that I keep my money. That speaks volumes about his honesty! Whether you live in the East Mountain, or passing through and have car trouble, you can bring your repairs here with confidence.

I'm grateful I was close to East Mountain Auto and RV Repair when my pickup broke down! Realizing I did not have a home there, East Mountain got to work on my vehicle quickly. Everybody was very friendly and responsive to my questions. They got it fixed within 1 day! The price was reasonable and they mentioned the repair had a warranty! I was on my way down the road. Unfortunately the repair did fail shortly after I left, possibly due to a defective part. Those things happen in life, and the question is whether you're going to make it right or not. It was after hours, but I had it towed back to their shop and they got to work on it right away the next day and did the repair completely under warranty! With my rig fixed once again, I was able to make it all the way back to my destination 4 states away! I would absolutely have work done at East Mountain again!

It's a clean, busy shop with happy employees and that means a lot. Don and Lori are good people who truly care about their customers. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed!

My second visit was a different experience. $1,000 for a serpentine belt and tensioner, they forgot my oil change, and it took 5 days. When I went to pick up my truck it was still partially disassembled, my seat was broken, and there were grease stains on my door and steering wheel. Don't know what happened with these guys, but I'm done. Do not take your vehicle here if you care about it.

My husband and I were 'traveling across country when we had a check engine light come on. We showed up at 7:30 in the morning without an appointment. They squeezed us in and had us back on the road within 4 hrs. They're good people and we definitely recommend them for good, honest, professional and efficient repair work.

I needed some radiator and transmission work done on my class C RV and Don and his crew fixed me up and sent me on my way!! Reasonable and fair. Good people!

Everyone at East Mountain Auto was so helpful and kind when our car was damaged by the inept idiots at Jiffy Lube. They literally walked us through every difficulty. I would give them 20 stars if I could and recommend them VERY highly.

Last year I made an appointment for 1st thing in the morning to have a tire fixed. Got there and was told it would be an hour before they got to me. I said, "But I have an appointment." The owner got all bent out of shape and said something to the effect that, tough, "we're the only game in town." Not sure what he considers "town" to be but a half hour later I was in Albuquerque getting all new tires and alignment and being treated like a good customer.

Driving across the country to take our daughter's Ford F-150 out to her military base. The truck started having some issues late at night with acceleration so my husband had to pull off the highway and wait until morning to have it checked out. AAA listed East Mountain Auto Repair as the closest recommended location to take it. They were very accommodating and in spite of being busy were willing to take a look at it. Turns out the issue was a non-issue and such a quick and easy fix, Todd didn't even charge a penny for having looked at it! Super friendly. The truck is back on the road without any trouble. If you're anywhere in the area or passing through, I highly recommend!

We are on a cross country road trip and started having AC issues. Did a quick search and found this repair shop. They immediately got us in and fixed the problem. They were amazing!

Don and his crew took good care of me. I have a 12 year old Subaru with high mileage and it needed a lot of work. That included a new cylinder head, water pump, radiator, etc. He gave me great service at a fair price and I highly recommend this shop.

If you live in the Edgewood, NM area, or just happen to be going through there and have need of a quality repair shop, I would highly recommend East Mountain Auto and RV Service. We experienced an issue with the fuel pump on our truck while traveling and were very fortunate to be towed there for repairs. The whole staff was very professional and helpful in getting us settled until they could diagnose the issue with our truck and get it fixed. Don and Todd were very straightforward and honest with everything. I would not hesitate to use them for anything.

Great service!! Came in to get my rear breaks fixed. They replaced the rotors and pads and completed a full break service. Don showed me exactly why the rotors needed to be replaced, thanks! They did me right.
