My main complaint is that I ordered windows in late May and when the installer came, he said the windows were measured wrong and
he remeasured them. I had a few updates. In October I contacted them, and the installation was scheduled, and no one came or called. I was told the installer was sick after I contacted them several times and was told he had contacted me. Finally on October 30th the windows were installed. The windows are great, and the installer did a good job. They cleaned up well after they were finished.

This was the very best experience I have ever had with any renovation! The installer and his wife were so respectful of my daughter who worked overnight & had to sleep during the day. Her windows were finished first. I was truly impressed! The job was completed beautifully and quickly.
I absolutely love everyone that I've come in contact with through this company. Travis who sold me on these windows, was like family before I signed the contract. He followed up right after the process was completed. I can't remember the names of the installers, but they are amazing, so is the young lady that stayed in contact with me through the whole process was such a doll. I highly recommend this amazing crew!

I was extremely satisfied with the insulation of the cabinets, counter top, back splash, Faucet. The entire staff was just superb. I would definitely recommend Sears Home Improvement to anyone. Continue the outstanding work. When I was ready to have my kitchen done over again I sought out Sears to see if they offer kitchen Refacing. I knew the type of work done years ago and received the

I had a miserable experience. The sales rep was great, but things went downhill after I signed the contract. There was a big delay before the roofing project began. Then the roofers were a no show after the first day. The roofers failed to have proper paperwork and only did the "walk through before the project" after it was finished. Then months went by while I waited for the gutters to be installed. Several times I was given an installation date, but no one ever showed up. Nearly a year later, I was told that Sears could not find a gutter contractor. They removed the cost of the gutters from my bill and wanted payment even though they had not sent a revised bill. Finally they sent the revised bill and I've paid the balance. I think that the roof installation was ok. I'm now waiting for the "third party" inspector to come - part of the contractual agreement with Sears. I'm hoping that this inspection really happens.

I am so pleased with the service I received from the Sears Home Improvement Team. From the people who answered the phone to the contractor that put on my roof. Everyone was professional, polite, caring thorough and efficient. The roof is beautiful, the job was well done and I am completely satified. Thank you Sears.

Sears sells a home warranty product that you will think is Sears. However, it is actually HomeSure of Virginia out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is a miserable awful company. They do not provide the services which they sell you. They do not answer their mail. They do not answer their phone. They are no responsive except to take your money which they do very well. They will automatically renew the contract without your permission or knowledge. They will refer contractors to you that have one star and get terrible, awful reviews. I recommend against this product. I am disappointed that Sears puts their name on this product. It is not a good product. It is a waste of time and money. If you finally get through to someone at the company, pray you do not speak to Brianna. She is rude, loud and stupid. She does not listen to you. She will call you a liar. She will cite all sorts of incorrect information and deny everything that you are saying is truthful.

Sears did a great job installing a new Carrier heat pump system. They did the job within the time frame that they promised, were professional, and called a few days later to follow up and make sure everything was to my satisfaction. The sales team did a good job explaining the specification of the system that I purchased and the installers were very helpful explaining the details of what they were doing and why they were doing it. Overall, I highly recommend Sears .

The main reason we agreed to purchase heating/a.c. unit is because the sales rep assured us Sears does not subcontract like Home Depot and Lowe's, that was a lie! The guys showed up at 11am and left well after 9pm and the job was still incomplete. When I asked for the filter for my system, he said they had brought the wrong one and told me all I had to do was go to Lowe's and buy one...I.shouldve gone to Lowe's and purchased the entire system. Oh and 2 weeks later my home is still cold and Tara in the front office hinders my husband from speaking with any other representative from home improvement office except her and the contractor. This is a shady business operating under Sears brand! Bottom line DO NOT USE SEARS!!!!

I will never ever use Sears again or recommend them to anyone. Took way to long for the project to take place. Was told it would only take 2 days top to complete. They were at my house for 4 days. Nothing they promised us happened. Paid way to much for what we got.

These guys did a great job installing 2 new AC units. The price was competitive, the installation was smooth, the job was tricky requiring climbing under the house and working in cramped crawl space. The overall job was good with polite service, clean, and quick effort.

I love my new counter tops which I purchased through Sears. They were installed by three diligent workers who worked non stop for 6 hours and left my kitchen spotless when they were finished

Not worth the money we paid or even the one star rating I had to give to post this. Poor workmanship, wrong windows shipped, one window missed, and then several windows leaked during the first significant rainfall. When they came out to check them I was told they had forgotten to put the weather stripping and/or insulation in every window but one. Also caulking was not done on some. I was told a project manager would contact me to schedule repairs or a reinstall but a few days later I still have heard nothing. Left on hold for extended periods of time waiting for answers.

My kitchen and bathroom floors look nice, but when they replaced the trim, they did not even try to match it to my existing trim, which is stained. They attached painted white trim, which looks hideous. They told me when we purchased the flooring that "it may not match," but they did not tell me that it would be an obvious contrast. They should have given me an option to have them replace raw wood, and I could have stained it to match. When I expressed my disappointment and concern, they did not care, and did not offer to do anything to accommodate that. Now I have had to spend even more money to buy primer and paint in order to fix their mistake. The consultant also told me that they use Sears employees, not sub-contractors, which was not true. One of the helpers did not show up and the installation took a third day. My husband had worked all night, and got no sleep that day, then had to go to work that night also. I scheduled the installation for his two days off, but because the helper did not show up, it interrupted my husband's sleep on the third day. I was not happy. I would NEVER recommend Sears for home improvement projects. I paid dearly for the product and for exceptional service, which I did not get. I'm going to Home Depot next time.

Service questions

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
