Joe Rioux did a great job ! Needed a longer snake and he had some tricky mounting flanges for the toilet when he reinstalled it. Great problem solving.

Our situation was complex due to some toilets working, one not. Pulling toilet to try to clear did not work, the Roto-Roter team passed on what they individually learned until they actually had to go up on the roof and down the vent pipe to clear it. That is what I call going beyond the call of duty to help a desperate client.

Austin came in a truck outfitted with a high-powered jet to address a clogged water drainage pipe another sewer company could not clean out. He was thorough, asked many questions and addressed ours very knowledgeably. He was very respectful and kind. He checked the flooding areas as well and I would recommend him and his company in an instant.

Roto employee Hayden came out to clear a main sewer line backup. He was courteous and efficient. It’s always nice when the techs are thinking along the same lines as me — clearing out not only the main but also clearing the two drain lines in the house, and getting a camera inspection set up to take a closer look at the condition of the main. Not all companies operate as professionally as Roto Rooter. (Ask me how I know.) That’s why I give Roto my business time and again.

Dana K. Did a great job in sectioning in 1 inch gas line pipe where at a 90 degree connector the original pipe sealant dope had failed and a gas leak occurred, Consumers Energy shut the gas off after determining where the leak was…rather expensive job but it was by the Roto Rooter book…at least I saved by using senior discount and $40 coupon…but they got me 3% since I paid by credit card…kinda cheap shot based on what they charge, but the work was done well.

My roto-rooter technician was great, he arrived at my home, looked at the issue and immediately came up with a satisfying solution that seems to be working great so far. Thanks Robert!

Charlie arrived quickly to help with our emergency sump pump failure. While we were franticly cleaning a flooded basement, he calmly and thourougly explained our options. He was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly! He installed our new sump pump and was back the next day to install a backup system, which was completed same day. Very satisfied with the whole experience from placing the call for service to the finished install. We will use them again and request Charlie!

Great Experience all around. I called in to see if I can have someone come look at my sink that had been clogged for a couple weeks. Nothing was working. I had the pleasure of meeting Dave. He was great. Walked me through everything. He replaced my garbage disposal that was very old and leaking. I no longer have any issues with my sink. I am very pleased with the work he did today. Update: Check with your insurance before hiring.

They lulled us into a sense of comfort and we were told they were putting one of their best guys on as project manager. It was his job to liaison with the insurance company. Here we are months later and my insurance company is investigating them for fraud and RR is trying to get even more money out of us.

Steer clear and go with a local company that will be more transparent.

I had a technician come out on 3/30. I’m complaint was that my tub gargled when I flushed the toilet and my lab sink is backed up. The guy comes over hears the sound and proceeds to go in the basement and opens the stack. Nothing. Looks the basement toilet and recommends I replace the fill valve and inquires if I want this done. I declined, because it’s not what I’m having an issue with. He believes the issue is my toilet and wants to take off my toilet and claims the issue is from the toilet to the stack. He also recommends that I snake the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and toilet to “ process of elimination” I was like the toilet is fine because the water goes down. $650 to snake both drains and not sure the price for the toilet. I suggested that maybe the stack is clogged up on the roof. Inquire about the price. $1,100 for no camera and $1,600 with cameras. I gave the guy the service fee $100. Called another competitor and he quoted me over the phone, which your company refuses to do even though your tech a book of quotes that was the size of a baseball card set binder $175 to snake the drain and $425 to snake the roof stack. I booked the appt and he came over and no upsell with the company B. Very honest and direct. Told me it was the sink and all the other stuff is fine. Roto Rooter all that sleezy up sell was uncalled for. People call plumbers for help, to to be taken advantage of in the pocket book. I would recommend anyone ready this post to beware of this company upsell tactics and there are plenty of other options in our area. Horrible, Horrible company. And I see the owner commenting on, we don’t show records of your service. 3/30 cm. You and your sleezy technician can both pound sand. I wonder out loud how munch money you all made on unesserary upsell for for services that was not need for all this “trouble shooting” you idiot tech even suggested ripping my wall out. Nope just a. Snake sink was all that was needed.

I asked on the phone but was not given a ballpark price in advance. After the employee was here, I was told it was $450.00 to camera scope put a sump pump discharge line. I should have researched more, because I could've gotten it done for about $200.00 less. That was my fault. HERE'S THE KICKER: I had a leaky check valve and he was going to change it for $450.00 extra, just to unscrew 4 hose clamps and slip on a $30.00 part!!!! It took me 10 minutes. This company will rob you blind. Find a solid local plumber and stay FAR away from these big companies!!

They will send someone out to “assess” and fix a problem. But will really charge you money fixing everything but the main problem after they realized they ran your pockets every dime they possibly could. Make you believe there’s no other way then at the end of the day just throw your signature in your face and say why’d you sign, nobody would sign if we knew I’d pay multiple different trips before the problem was fixed. The real issue is what actually fixed the issue was much cheaper than anything else they did prior, or just say “it was time for upgrades anyways”. Then after further looking into employees and managers with said company in Livonia, they have managers posting pictures of themselves in uniform smoking marijuana. The company is very unprofessional and at the earliest inconvenience for their own money they throw you away and make threats over stating I wanted other estimates. CALL ANY OTHER PLUMBING COMPANY! The managers are just money hungry and seek every dollar before addressing the main issue. It’s a joke.

I called to get an estimate for Hydro Jetting and was told someone would need to come out for an estimate. Roger arrived promptly. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave me a quote with no pressure. I hated I wasted his time but he handled it well.

I contacted Roto Rooter and was able to get an appointment booked for the next day. Additionally, the person said they could waive the diag fee. They gave me a timeblock of 10-2pm. On the day of, I called to find out a better ETA. They said they didn't see my appt. They were able to get someone out within 30 mins. The guy came and said he had to get a part for the toilet repair. He stepped out for 30-40 minutes and did the repair. He said it would be $257. I was shocked as I thought without the $79 fee, it would likely be $100 or less but agreed to pay as I wanted it done and was in a rush. We entrusted it was fixed. Later that day, we realized that the toilet wouldn't flush. This was not the original problem so I called back and let Roto Rooters know. They sent another guy who was able to fix the issue the following day. I am not too pleased with the price but am glad they were able to fix the running toilet in a quick amount of time.

Joe came on time and was clean and conscientious in making sure that he left my area looking as good or even BETTER than he found it.
