JMG Construction and Painting

Jmg Construction is a SCAM, Mark is very rude and unprofessional. We hired him on June 3rd, 2025, to paint our house, paid him $2000 in advance and he was supposed to start the job on June 4th,2025 but after cashing out the $2000 cheque he disappeared. After a week my fiance contacted him and he said he is outside the country and will be back in a week and will get the job done. He lied, he did not show up again. We kept asking him kindly when he was coming to paint our house but he kept making excuses. This unprofessional behavior of him was kept going on from June 3rd until mid-July, at this point, we were done with his excuses, and we knew that he would not come to do the job. So in mid-July, we asked him kindly to return our $2000 that we paid him on June 3rd so we can hire someone more professional. Then finally he said ok he will come and do the power-wash On July 21st,2025 he showed up for literally 15 minutes. Our house is 3220 sq ft. We have him on cameras and our paver contractors were there too as the eyewitnesses. He did not power-wash the entire house, yet he damaged a pillar and the side wall as well. After all this, we asked him to refund our money. Now he is claiming that he will sue us and will not refund our money because we canceled the project with him and he lost wages??? For your kind information We did not cancel the contract in the first week of June. You are the one playing with us for the past two months. We were very patient with you. In the mid-July we asked you to refund our money.

Mark from JMG is a consummate professional. He came to my home for an estimate and listened carefully to everything I needed done. On the day of service, I was incredibly impressed with the extensive amount of care that he took preparing for the work to be done. He never rushed through any of the very important prep work and was very careful with every detail. He painted my garage door, two entry doors, ten window frames plus a bay window, eight shutters and two porch columns. In addition to this, he installed three new doors, two coach lights, two porch lights, three door handles and a new mailbox. The man is incredibly talented and highly skilled. My home looks fantastic and my neighbors are still raving over it. They all say it looks like a completely new home. I couldn’t be happier.

This guy Mark is a scam artist came to my house for giving me a quote and was all about being honest and would do an amazing job. The time he cashed out the check in the pic he disappeared for few weeks and kept giving me excuses. He was a totally different person after he had the advanced payment. When I request the refund after 1 and a half month he mentioned he has already bought the material and will come the next week. He came for 10 mins and left . Who can power wash the whole house in 10 mins . I have a complete video recording of him . He wrote me a message that he wouldn’t do the job as agreed on which was to paint the house in 3 different colors , dark gray , light gray and white . He wanted to do it in two colors . I had my driveway getting done and when I came home from work they showed me he just made a mess around the house and didn’t even power wash the house. Everyone else in the market gave me better quotes than him but he told me he can start the next day from the payment and would do the perfect job I trusted which was the biggest mistake. He never returned me the $2000 and told me that “ Do what you got to do “ please don’t do business with him he is out there to scam people and run away.
