Very thorough and well documented inspection! He even checked our roof two days prior to the inspection while installing the radon detection because of an impending snow storm. We weren't able to attend the inspection and he called us after and went through everything and answered any questions that we had. It was also very easy to schedule the inspection and the documentation came back the same day. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
Dan from Integrity Inspection Group came out and performed the inspection on the home that my husband and I are purchasing. I could not have been happier with his professionalism, expertise, and ability to clearly explain everything that he noticed about the property. His report was equally as thorough, and gives us confidence as we go forward with our purchase. Highly recommend!
When I heard about the house inspection issues from my son during the holiday and saw the messages between him and the owner, I feel the need to share this with everyone.
Let's talk about the matter itself. There were two main reasons for the argument between him and my son on the phone: 1) He denied that his staff had missed a small natural gas leak, even though my son provided evidence. 2) His first inspector guessed the cause of a potential water leak in the bathroom ceiling simply by glancing at it, using words like "probably" and "I would assume." The second inspector did actually go up into the attic for a thorough inspection. The owner believes that in an inspection, just guessing the correct result is enough, without regard to the process—only the outcome matters.
In their text exchanges, the owner orders customers around. Compared to the owner’s replies on Google Reviews, anyone can clearly see how desperately he tried to maintain his false yet "humble" image. My son refused to let him come to the house and asked three times to meet in a public place, but the owner insisted on coming to the door for signature.
The owner had prepared an agreement for those dissatisfied with the inspection, demanding that they remove all negative comments about his business on social media as a condition for a refund. My son blocked the owner and refused to sign that suspicious document. He chose to expose the problem to the public.
I wonder how many others have faced similar issues, signed his pre-prepared forms, got their refunds, and stayed silent, which is probably why his Google reviews stay at a high 4.9 score. Even when you search for inspections in Ann Arbor, his business appears as a sponsored result. I don't care how the owner will respond to this post; all I know is that doing business like this is disrespectful and unethical.
The reality and complexity of what happened are completely opposite to the latest review posted by Brent McDermott.
This could have been a great holiday until I found out what happened.
