Joe Burton went above and beyond to help with my roof inspection. Very knowledgeable and kind - it was clear he values the customer experience. Pyramid is lucky to have him.

Everything was smooth as glass (except for mother nature...:O)). From visit to establish the job parameters to the installation. It was great

I chose Pyramid because of their reputation in the neighborhood and the inspection they did 2 years ago. When I discovered a small leak I called them and Drew came out to check. As expected the roof needed replacement vs. just a repair. They were able to schedule the work quickly before I was due to leave town.
Rodney and his team appeared as promised at 7 a.m. the first day of work. He explained what would be happening and cautioned me not to exit the house without letting him know so he could be sure there would be no danger of being hit by flying shingles.
As expected, it was noisy! I spent some time in my basement level which made it quieter. I escaped for part of the day so as not to be hearing banging all day long.
Tarps were laid over grass and shrubs. Pots on my deck and porch furniture were moved out of the way. The protective netting that was advertised would not work on my house as the walls are too tall.
They worked for 8 hours and made sure it was sealed up before leaving. The next day was scheduled but it rained so work was postponed for a day. They finished in a half day and picked up all debris.
There were a number of nails found in my mulch beds around the house by my landscaper so I called Rodney who came the next day and swept the area again with the magnet. There were some yellowed spots in my grass which we figured out must have been heat from the small generator they parked there. Rodney said he would use plywood under the machine from now on other jobs.
I would give Pyramid a 5* rating and recommend them to anyone.

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
