For the record, I had a great experience with Long Fence when they replaced my deck last summer. Sales Rep was professional, responsive to my inquiries and they had the best price of all four estimates and only a $1000.00 deposit on a $30,000 job. But this time with a bathroom remodel it was terrible and I am out a $4000.00 deposit for a job in which I never received the final total cost and details of the remodel. The sales rep this time who came out (June 30), definitely not like Martin B. last year. When he worked up the initial cost, actually for a full bathroom and a powder room, the cost was about $38000.00 and I asked about financing. He actually asked me what the first number of my credit score was so he could get me the "best finance deal". I should have known better as no contractor has ever asked me such a question but I gave him the number 8 and with that he had to go to his car and figure out the financing. Twice during his visit, he had to go to his car to make some calls or whatever. He came back with 11.99% APR and again, I should have said no, but I had such good experience last year - I shrugged off my inner voice telling me this is not normal. I signed the contract (fool that I am) and then called him about an hour later to ask to modify the full bathroom design. He said okay and would get back to me. I waited and then he texted me on July 21 that he needed to come out again to take a second measure and I said anytime this week. I never heard from him until I told him I wanted to cancel on July 28. I called the Long office three times the week of July 28 - just to discuss with someone about a refund, even a partial refund as the contract was under modification and I never received a final total cost. I was told by three different people who answered my calls that someone would call me back. No one ever called me back.

Longhome Windows has the absolute worst customer service out there. Good luck getting ANYONE to return your call. When you call back they tell you they will escalate it up the chain and then THAT person won’t call you back. Then when you call back yet again they say they’ll escalate it to yet another supervisor. Well guess what - that guy won’t call back either. They are a total joke. They must be running a clown show in that office. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a HUGE hassle and go somewhere else. Actually ANYWHERE else has to be better than them.

Do not use this company. They came in January to have our bathroom plan done. It is now July 29, 2025 and they have not finished our bathroom. It was supposed to be a two day job. There have been many problems and they will not return our calls or have they returned our calls in the past. I have now contacted consumer protection to get some results.
The men that came to install the initial part of the bathroom were good, nice and polite But the rest of the company is horrible.

We had received some bad information from our Insurance company on this day. But Aaron was able to work with us and made that day a very perfect day after all. We have work with others Roofing Company in the past but Aaron is a very special person. My husband and I will be enjoy doing business with him. Once again Aaron thank you for everything.

After reading the last review, I can’t help but share in the disappointment of Long Home customer service. After 10 days, we are still making phone call after phone call trying to get even a date scheduled to come out and look at our roof that has leaking issues. But all we get is the run-around as well.
I can only hope that management notices these reviews and improves their customer service, because at this point I would never recommend them to a friend.

We had a consultation with Tyrell Bowie to see about upgrading our three bathrooms. Tyrell had assured us that we would be getting the best service, pricing and reassurance from him and the contractors during renovations. None of these were delivered. I have reached out to the main branch and Tyrell and have heard nothing back from either. This is very unprofessional and we are highly disappointed with Long Home.

I would not recommend this company at all. They had a rep come out and suggest shower “updates” for us that were not appropriate for the size bathroom we have. The “lip” of the shower is extremely low and the shelve, handle, and knob were all loose still a week later, the person doing the work was either stepping on our toilet or using it to brace himself and fell. I made my issues known to them before they left about how low the front was and how small our shower is should we get the guard and they told me I had to contact the rep. Since October I have been given the run around. They came back fixed my toilet after I had to make several calls and sent several emails and me letting them know in would leave bad reviews of their company and had someone come another day and fixed the shelves, knob, and handle after the same amount of emails and calls and again me letting them know I would leave bad reviews of their company The tech that came out to fix the shelves, knob, and handle stated that we should’ve received a guard because of the size of our shower he said he also would tell them he recommended it because of the size of our shower. Every time we take a shower water comes out of the shower onto the floor we have to continuously mop our bathroom became is the water from the shower and we are afraid of water damage. Still as of today I’ve gotten nothing but the run around from this company. They took our money and this was the worse decision ever. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They will take your money and then give you the run around.

The roof Long installed on my house looked and functioned fine initially, but pieces of it fall off frequently, and I have to call them 3 or 4 times each time I need them to repair it, because they do nothing in response to 1 or 2 phone calls except promise to get back to me. When they finally do come out, they apparently don't fix it well enough, because the same areas of shingles fall off again.And the last time, they left roofing material on my lawn until I asked them to come back and clean up.
UPDATE July 12 2025: They still have not replaced the shingles. About 2 weeks ago, I finally got through to a person named Alex, who said replacing the missing shingles might not be covered under my warranty, even though there are 14 years left on the warranty, because the product they sold me doesn't hold up to high winds, and he would have to investigate whether that was the cause of the problem and get back to me. He never did, so I investigated, and the winds in the days prior to the shingles coming off were between 10 and 12 mph. So, beware. They admittedly sell a product that can't stand up to a mild breeze.

Although the pricing and installation was ok; when a issue was identified (potential warranty issue), the real problems began. The operations team is completely not responsive.

After identifying an issue I have made numerous calls and emails trying to get someone to respond. I talk to some professional staff multple, multiple times and they claim someone will get back to me but they never do. The best I get is an email saying they are working it. It has been over 8-10 months with no resolution. I even got a manager but he gave me the same response. My suspicion is they either know the work is under warranty and are unwilling to address it or can not be bothered with making the repair. I have no idea how to get a hold of the parent company to complain about the MD location in the DC region.

Long did an excellent job promoting, selling and installing my roof. The problem is their post installation work. Long is not responsive unless they are making money. I have been trying to get them to come to my home for 2 months to look at a roof concern. I called several times and the phone hung up on me each times. I finally reached someone left a message, no one called back. Called again, this time I said I need help, don't put me on hold. Long made an appointment with me and didn't show or call. I called them back, left a detail message. Two months later, still Long has not showed or called.

Long story short, Long Home can not get ANY more of my business.

I got a portion of my bathroom done a few months ago. I love what they’ve done. However, I was told that I had a lifetime warranty and any issues I may have I can call and they will correct it. Well one of the areas that was redone was my wet area.
Recently, it started to clog. Two weeks ago I submitted an order and was told i would receive a call within 24-48 hours. I waited 48 hours and never received the call. I called back and was told Alex would call me. This went on for 3 days. This Alex person never called me. So eventually on a Friday I believe Dee I think her name is finally scheduled an appointment for the master plumber to come out on 5/30. I was told I will receive a call a day prior (today) to confirm the appointment. Of course, I never received a call. So I have called numerous times today and no one has answered. We will see if someone actually comes out.

In the spring of 2023, our roof suddenly started to leak—badly. We looked at a few roofing companies, but in the end we went with Long Home—even though they were among the most expensive options—because they had the longest warranty and thousands of good reviews.

This was a mistake.

Less than a year later, the roof started to leak... Again.

We contacted Long Home, and for weeks we got the run-around—we made dozens of calls and sent multiple emails. Finally, someone came out and admitted the roof had been incorrectly constructed. After a few more weeks of waiting (and many more unanswered calls and emails) we got a formal notice our roof would be redone.

Our relief was palpable.

But over those many months, there were frequent examples of clear incompetence on Long Home's part—such as missing appointments or sending workers out who were unprepared to do the day's work—as if the management and the workers never spoke to each other to make sure they were on the same page about the worker's capabilities. It took almost 4 months more of endless unanswered emails, unreturned calls, and multiple appointments that turned out to be completely pointless, before we could finally get workers out to redo the roof. During that entire time, water continued to come in.

The roof finally got redone—and hopefully this time it will last. But we still have to get the internal damages repaired. To their credit, Long Home agreed to fix the internal water damage... But again, it feels impossible to get a quick response for anything from Long Home.

This property is supposed to be a rental, but it has been impossible to rent it during this entire time due to the necessity of doing these repairs. When we reached out to Long Home requesting compensation for our lost rental income, they either ignored us, responded while ignoring that point specifically, or said that they would ask someone higher up about it... but we've never heard anything back about our request for fair compensation, and we've lost hope that we ever will.

In short, choosing Long Home has been a stress-inducing—not to mention financially devastating—mistake for us.

I'm sure much of the work they do is fine, but if you ever need to make use of that warranty of theirs for any reason... be prepared for endless disappointment.

UPDATE:
It's been a month since we've last heard from Long home, despite many calls and many more emails. It seems as though they've decided to ghost us. I will comeback and edit this review again if this sad reality changes.

They are pricey and they are not prompt at correcting lingering problems after they complete the initial job and collect their payment. I have been calling them for over a month to correct my crooked toilet and every time I call I have to tell my story all over again. The few times I had someone with customer service skills I was promised a call back and the representative indicated she would personally follow up with me to ensure my issues were addressed. I am still waiting. For the amount of money I paid I expected better service.
If you are thinking about using them for a bathroom project consider using someone else, I wish I had.

I had my new roof installed today. I am very pleased with work that performed. They came earlier than scheduled but I was happy because of the late afternoon forecast for rain. They continually took care not to clutter the yard while working. They thoroughly cleaned around the house. Long communicated with me during the process letting me know the progress. They were very professional throughout the entire process. One happy customer.

These people are not honest. No one is in charge and they do not respond to phone calls or emails. I gave my deposit to the sales representative in January. It's been 3 months now and my shower is not completed after being promised a 1-2 installation. I have gotten completely different answers from 5 different people. They each blame a different person for the delays. Carol, Cleily, Lance, Ricky, Ciera....They have each told me different stories and blamed different people in their own company. I have remodeled 5 different homes and this is the shadiest company I've encountered so far. I've already contacted a lawyer to find out my options at this point.

Spent 20 minutes on the phone with these jokers scheduling an appointment for an estimate for a new roof only for them to call the day before and cancel saying I’m outside of their service area. This company was found through a Google ad when I searched roofers in my area, and their website states that they service my area however they said they would not why waste of money on Google ads for an area you’re not willing to service

I was interested in replacing my roof and focused on improving curb appeal. During the initial pitch, the sales rep presented a highly inflated estimate of $78,000 for their best asphalt shingles. After some aggressive discounting—contingent on signing immediately—the price dropped to $41,000 for a lower-tier option. I told the rep I was gathering estimates from several local roofers and thanked him for his time before showing him out.

To help with sizing, I used Roofr.com, which provided a detailed 4042 sq. ft. estimate (mostly 10/12 pitch, some 12/12 with 6 dormers)along with a clear drawing for permitting. All required new OSB sheathing. Over the next two weeks, I collected and negotiated eight proposals. In the end, I accepted the second-lowest competitive bid: $26,500 for 42 squares of CertainTeed Pro roofing system, which included $10,000 for all materials.

Company is unprofessional trash. 3 appts 2 cancelled. Guy shows for a second does not knock. Dogs had to let me know. Talked a bunch of baloney. No itemized no seperated labor or materials gave some baloney company does not do that. Obviously because of the phony rebates or 50 % off stuff. Gives same day price up 3000 for 30 days to decide and 7000 for 1 year quote. No time to think about it. Guy had to sneak outside to talk to manager to obvious discuss what scam to run. Told him send the quote I would decide before day over said he would. Never sent a thing. Stay away unless you only want a fence.

Long Home Products replaced our 14 windows and patio door on Feb 11. The quality of the windows and ease of use are a huge improvement over our 37 year old Anderson windows. Best of all, their staff was informative, professional, skilled, and courteous every step of the way. This was the very best experience I've had with home improvement contractors, and I highly recommend them.

Heather, the Project Manager, is out of her mind. Very standoffish. We had a bad install and she came over to discuss how to remedy the issues. Heather was a bull in a china shop - argumentative and angry.

Any company can make a mistake or have an issue, it is how you handle the mistake that makes the difference.

Would not recommend.

I have been waiting 7 months for my windows to be installed. I ordered them in August. They never said they could not fulfill my brown color for my condo. I put down thousands in a deposit. They promised by Dec. Nope. Then the new year. Nope! Then the materials finally came in. Oops, nope. The day before instalation they called to say they were missing a key part to the windows. They finally got the part on Feb 7th. They scheduled the installation for tomorrow even though I reminded them it was going to snow. No problem! Then I get the call this evening. Ofcourse they can't install windows with snow on the ground. Well, let's see, 3rd times the charm? Will they actually show up next week? I have tried to get my money back and cancel my order, but they refuse to let me out of my contract even though it's going on 7 months! Beware!!!!!

In dealing with this company, I made it very clear to the salesman that I wanted same day install for a corner shower install. He went through the sales pitch, saying it would be done the same day, except we would have to wait 24 hours for caulk to cure.I said if you can guarantee completion in one day, you have a deal.

I read the contract before signing. Then the call finally came, time to schedule the install. However, shower would be completed same day, but door and glass were custom and would be several weeks out. I was furious.

My contract states neo-angle door with specific dimensions. Initialed disclaimer states that custom doors are not same day. I was not concerned because my door was not listed as custom. Nor did the salesman ever mention this during the hour or so of explaining everything. Even their web page states same day unless custom.

Now I have an open shower, no curtain, no doors. The appointment for the measurements is just over 2 weeks after shower install. Then more weeks before door to be installed.

Contractor was in plain white van. No business logo. No mechanical license or plumbing license # was noted. Copper pipe was removed and flexible plastic used to center new plumbing, from bottom to top. Also, after shower was installed, the contractor wanted me to sign a form saying ALL WORK was completed. I signed with notations that only shower was installed and door was not.

Exspensive lesson was learned. I will never deal with this company again.

Udate: I texted rep at company 6 days ago. They replied the next morning that they would check on delivery date. No follw-up for past 5 days. I emailed representative who commented here yesterday. Still waiting. Only one day though without reply. Contract signed January 4th. Now from January 28th to March 6th. No door, no shower curtain. And no update as to when it will be completed.

Update: Finally the doors arrived. Still no response from anyone on offsetting the cost a bit for the delay. And company has not had anyone review the work done, for which I had questions. I was asked to sign a form indicating work completed. I have not, as I wait for answers to my questions. However, the loan company has already started my loan obligation, without the signed form. BEWARE of this, as should you have problems with the quality and notsign off, this company has the finance company still pay them. Then you file a complaint with the finance company. Terrible way to do business. This is so stressful

Follow up not good. First my shower pressure was bad and they put in a fixed shower head to resolve the pressure issue. Then, I realized that absent a hand shower I need a faucet to get water to bathe my dog. I have been trying to get them over to put in a faucet in the shower and I've called at least 10 times (if not more) and there has been no response. This lack of response when I have repeatedly said that I would be happy to pay the difference.

Both Ryan and Dorian were wonderful to work with. They both were very informative and well versed and not pushy with their products. My husband and I may use them for other projects in the future. Update: I have to lower my rating as it is for the work of replacing our roof. Although it was finished in one day, the roofers damaged our gutters, and let our Dish and Starlink just hang while working on our roof. My husband had to go up on the roof to help reconnect the Starlink as just letting it hang off the side of the roof caused it to become disconnected. The project manager was very non-response the day of the project. She said that she would be contacting us regarding the damaged gutters. It has been a little over two weeks and no one has reached back out to us. The only calls we get are from the finance company asking if the work is done. The only reason I am giving a two star rating is due to the fact our roof was replaced in one day.

Spoke with Ayden from Massachusetts this afternoon and he rendered a compelling case for the quality of the windows I bought. First rate sales, and he gave his information for future contacts. Cell number too, so easy to trust, as I doubt he's trading of his contact info. If the installation company has been around for 80 years then they proved they can be around 80 more. I'm chuffed and look forward to installation.

I had a bathroom shower remodel on 7 /24. Looked awesome but installers were careless. With the removal of the old bathtub they scraped my walls on their way down the steps and they seem not to care. After installation I was told that my shower doors were not in, so I had to wait an additional 2 1/2 weeks more after this remodel. This was scheduled 3 months prior, and they weren’t responsible enough for the total install. After the shower was finally finished, it took about 3 months before a door gasket fell off the bottom of the shower doors, and 2 of the corner shelves were loose off the wall. Terrible install, there’s a half inch difference to the bottom of the tub so a lot of water runs out onto the floor. I figured no problem I’ll call them and ask for them to come out and fix it quick. I been calling since October for someone to come out and fix this problem. I’ve called numerous of times and they keep telling me that they will relate this problem to a mike the plant manager. But he never calls me back. Very unprofessional!!! Finally Jason Norris the project Manager came a out to review the problem. After 3 weeks of trying to reach someone. He tells me, he would order the parts and get back to me. This was 6 weeks ago and still no answer on my part. So much for their life time warranty. 12/21/24..I won’t recommend Long Home products to any of my friends or family.!! I guess I’ll figure something out since these doors are not the standard door you would buy from Lowe’s or Home Depot, so the gasket is not on their shelves.

I am so pleased at the way Long Home turned our experience around. I had a fence installed in June 2023. I was so pleased that I decided to use them again when my home needed a roof. I had the roof installed in October 2024. The roof leaked in December 2024 (two months after installation). However, I must say I am overjoyed with the repair that was made in record time! I called on Monday. A VP took the time to address my concern personally! By Thursday of the same week, my roof was permanently repaired. I am thankful I chose Long Home for my roofing needs. I will use them in the future, as I target a date to replace some windows.

Thank you for making our holiday wonderful in 2024.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I live in a Condo and they had already installed two bath to walk in showers on the first floor. I am on the third floor. So my biggest concern was leaks and I and I said that to the sales team. The sales team was fantastic. I did not sign immediately that day, and they were OK with that. I got one days notice that they wanted to come out and do my shower, which was fine with me cause it suited me. I cannot say enough about the two young men who came and installed my shower. (Edward and Rowan, I think. I’m hearing impaired and they were very gracious about repeating something that I did not hear) Professional, polite, sweet and very hard workers. They put down tarps from the front door of the building into the elevator and all the way up to my third floor condo to the bathroom. They were very neat and when they were done, they cleaned up every single thing, You would never know they had been here. The workers were also kind enough to go into the basement get the tarps and hang them in the elevator for me because I could not do it for myself And when they left, without me asking, they took them down and stowed them back into the basement. They arrived promptly at 8:30 in the morning and about 5 o’clock. Ask if they could stay later to finish the job. I said of course, and they finished at 6:30 and left. I sincerely hope that anyone that reads this review and uses this company will have as great and experience as I did.

THIS WAS A PROBLEM-FREE INSTALL AND FINALIZED IN TWO HOURS APPEARING 20 MINUTES EARLY BUT NOT PRESSING ME TO HURRY TO PREPARE FOR THEM, A GOOD SOLID CREW IF TWO EFFWECTIVE, EFFICIENT GUYS WITH THE COMPLET INSTALL IN 2 HOURS, CLESNED AND MANAGED OF MY STUFF AND THEIRS, I AM REALLY IMPRESSED. THE SALES PERSON WAS OK BUT SERVICE AND INSTALL LONG MEMBERS WERE GREAT

Had a estimate appointment with Tyce D and was pleased with his knowledge of the product and friendly manner. He had a good combination of sales pitch without being overly pushy. He was on time and respectful.

This is the 3rd time we've used Long products, and it was another great experience! Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous, with extensive follow-up and QC by the HQs crowd. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and the crew cleaned up the area completely afterwards. I recommend Long every time!

The salesman was very friendly, personal and sincere. He talked highly of the company as they are family owned and explained how the offices/corporate have a very home like atmosphere.
The quality of the products are above and beyond others.
The only thing we didn't appreciate was we had to make a decision at the time of our appointment in order to receive a discount.

Negative stars if I could. I called them for an estimate several months back and decided to go with another company. I have received multiple phone calls every day since then. After asking to be removed from their list multiple times, I began not answering the phone. I've blocked their number - then they call using a different number. it never ends. A complaint has been filed with the BBB. If y ou don't plan on using them, don't even call them!!

I had a significantly poor experience with my bathroom project. My project was scheduled to begin on a Tuesday with projected completion within the promised 3 to 5 days. There were innumerable instances of poor communication, lack of follow through and mismanagement. My numerous phone calls to reach the project manager, went unanswered until late Friday afternoon when I contacted the sales representative. No work was completed on Thursday or Friday as when plumbers came to set the base, the floor had not been properly leveled and the base could not be set. I received no call despite numerous requests both through the main switchboard, voicemails that I left at Long Home products and for the project manager. I was deeply annoyed and frustrated at the lack of professional integrity, follow through and respect for me and my time. I contracted with Long Home services based on a meeting I had with the sales representative who sold me the project. He was nothing but pleasant, apologetic and communicative. A stellar experience with the sales end of things. The trades people were excellent and did quality work I am very pleased with the final product.

However, if you need your project done on time with good communication then you should consider another company. I was assured numerous times that workers would be there at a specific time only to have no one to show up.
After speaking with the project manager for a prolonged period of time Friday evening, she assured me that a team would be at my house between 8 AM and 12 noon on Saturday to complete the next step of the project, setting the base. At 8:20 she called to advise that the time had now changed to between 1 PM and 2 PM. This change was inconvenient but I accepted it as the need to complete the project was of utmost importance. At 3 pm I had to call to find out the status as no one had arrived, again. Someone finally arrived at 4:30 pm on a Saturday and I had been waiting all day. I was irritated and annoyed. The project manager took no responsibility for the poor management of the project, had an attitude that I was inconveniencing her and that better communication was an unreasonable expectation. Every interaction with her became confrontational as she repeatedly deflected the blame for setbacks on others. I have only one bath/shower in my home and having it out of service for what turned out to be 15 days was unacceptable. I spent a large amount of money with promises that were repeatedly not met, a timeline that went 3 times longer than promised and generally a frustrating and at times infuriating interactions with the project manager who showed complete disrespect for my time. A very disappointing experience that could have improved at anytime as I raised concerns up the chain and they still failed to remedy the poor communication.

I got all news windows replaced in August. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Sales rep was very knowledgeable and honest but not pushy at all. They are a little more expensive than others but you get what you pay for so it’s worth it. Install was done within 3 weeks and went great. I had an issue with our financing but Jordan the finance manager fixed the issue within 10 minutes. Legit 5 stars.

No follow up or follow through. I had a new roof installed, and the product had to revisited and "fixed " due to leaking. The service department, the customer service department are subpar. The are all constantly unavailable, in a meeting or sometimes the call will just drop. Will never do business with this company again. Please save your money

I'll let ya,know when they finish..only been 6 months...an there still coming to re-fix,an re-fix,an re-fix..supposed to be a one day job!..update now I'm on hold till February..for some shady ceiling repairs they did..each room needs repairs again!
Update:Today the 11th of may 2020,there's a knock on the door, 2 worker's are ready to do painting, no one from Long Roofing notified us of a scheduled date,very unprofessional conduct of the company, still needing windows replaced as caulking is not the fix.As i physically whatched a worker Break the framework of the window with his hammer an a peice of wood.plus carpet that was cheap, and cheaply installed is buckling..less that a year old.
I'll re-update..again later! 11 months later!estimates in 2 weeks ago,waiting for a response to get more of this nightmare done! 6-21-20..still waiting to get this shit done over a year now!..they haven't called, texted nothing..GUESS I NEED TO CALL SOMEONE, Along with some real contractors. Stay clear of this company!7-2-20..have heard nothing from the company This company work is horrible to say the least lots of misleading .vidios soon to be posted along with picture's all over the net ! 7-15-20..so here we are 5 yrs later no phone calls,no windows replaced an a pissed off home owner that's waiting..
