Legacy Remodeling

We had two Provia windows installed in our attic. The process was very easy and the company is easy to reach out to and responsive during the process. Our installer, Joe, was very professional, executed a clean install, and took away all debris from the process. Once Joe was in he went to work right away and in just a few hours we had new windows upstairs. Thanks guys!

Legacy installed a rear entry door in our house where none existed previously. They had to cut through brick and cinderblock. They did a wonderful job. Our wall was also out of plumb and they did the extra work to make the molding around the door look amazing. They were very professional about showing up when they said they would, and calling when they were going to be late. Overall great job with a quality result!

Absolutely tremendous to work with. Everyone is extremely nice and very knowledgeable. We had Matt install it and he did a fantastic job, just a really nice guy and did an amazing job putting our shower in. I would highly recommend them and Matt to anyone!

We are returning Legacy customers. This job was for a sliding glass door (with built-in blinds) and some trim around our garage doors. I am a "warranty" customer - the prior owners of my home purchased windows with a lifetime warranty, and I've needed replacements. I'm treated so well by everyone that I interact with at Legacy, they had the records for the warranty so it was all an easy process, and the communication, workmanship, and just general friendly professionalism has been really refreshing. When we are ready to remodel Legacy will obviously be our first call, because they established the relationship with us and already have shown us their customer care. I did this review because I think it's important for customers to know that they can trust Legacy to stand by them for years. It's easy to be great with an initial job, but to show that same care 10 years later is important, and matters.

My wife and I hired Legacy to remodel the shower/bath area in our main bathroom. We are completely satisfied with our decision and the resulting work. The whole process was easy and seamless from initial visit to installation. Alan supported our project on the front end and was generous with his time while reviewing all our options. Zach and his team (Cody, Will, and Dan) were courteous, professional, and diligent during demolition and installation. We hired Legacy Remodeling to install a bay window in our living room and couldn't be more pleased. The whole process with Jeff was easy, they are good communicators, and quickly came up with excellent ideas of what would fit our space at a reasonable price. Scheduling was quick and easy and they advised and handled all communications with the borough once I had secured the work permit. The work was done in 3 days and they did a decent job cleaning up. Legacy's guys: Jim, Joe, and Manny were all very nice. They also had subcontractors Terry and JT who did the bulk of the work cutting the brick, framing the window etc... and they are skilled crafstman. I would also add that they were quite funny and cracked us up many times throughout the day. When we need windows we'll definitely call these folks again.

I am so happy with our new low threshold walk in shower! Legacy remodeling is a fantastic company to work with from start to finish. Kurt is a very professional sales representative for Legacy. Zac and Will did an expert job with the installation. These are people that you are comfortable inviting into your home and they make sure the job is done perfectly. You get a live person when you call which is rare these days! I give them my highest recommendation.

I used Legacy for a cut and reframe (replaced a window with a sliding door). I chose them for a quote because they are a local Dormont business that I knew was family owned and had been around for a while and I had read many positive reviews. Alan came to give me a quote and was very friendly, professional, and laid back. He obviously knew his product and his company's abilities and answered all of my questions fully without any pressure at all. I didn't even bother with a second quote after meeting him. The door was a special order size and came in exactly when they said it would. Joe, Jim, and Manny did the installation. They were equally as professional, friendly, and easy to work with as Alan was. Joe clearly takes pride in his profession and made quick work of the job over two days, but the outcome was better than I had imagined. Despite an old house with no level surface or plumb wall, he and his team were able to frame it all out to make it look like the door had always been there. I had two minor concerns along the way and Joe addressed them immediately and handled them beyond my satisfaction. His team were careful to protect my home inside and out during the work and did an excellent job of cleaning up before leaving both days. The door they sold me and installed is clearly high quality. From scheduling to measuring to installing, I truly couldn't be happier with this company and look forward to using them again one day.

Had Legacy install a tub to shower conversion for my bathroom. They did an excellent job. The install took two days. Mitch the design consultant was very helpful and answering all the questions that I had. The installers Zac and William were very professional. They took out everything down to the studs, made sure everything was waterproof. They made sure to clean up the site after they completed the work each day they were here. My shower is beautiful. Would highly recommend Legacy.

To say we are happy is an understatement! We had a leak in our shower and decided to do a remodel since the shower could use an update. Based on Google reviews, legacy was our first and final choice. Alan came out to do our initial assessment and quote. He was extremely thorough and informative, discussed all of our options and helped make recommendations. He was amazing.
About 2-3 weeks from there, we had installers on-site. I cannot say enough about Matt. He is detail oriented, efficient and a perfectionist. We have a cat and they were mindful the entire time they were here to make sure doors were closed when going in and out. Matt kept us informed of the progress and timeliness was spot on. Again, so appreciative of his hard work.
I HIGHLY recommend Legacy. Their customer service and results are superior.

Our house originally had asbestos siding and we were unable to get quotes from anyone until we called Legacy. They encapsulated the crumbling (and awfully unsafe to remove) siding with the new siding that looks beautiful. We were just out of our 3 year warranty period when we noticed a piece of siding had come loose. They came out to fix it pretty quickly and for free.

Years ago, I remember driving down West Liberty Avenue and seeing Swingline Windows I remembered their sign. My husband and I like to support local businesses. Today, we met with Mitch from Legacy Remodeling. We were happy to find out that Legacy is the new name of Swingline. We are looking forward to our new windows and supporting local! This excellent family owned business is more than worthy of a five star review. Back in 1999, they replaced all of my windows and doors in my home. Today, these items function and appear almost 100% like brand new, as if I just had them installed. When I receive flyers in the mail for windows, I think to myself, I have brand new windows, I don't need this flyer, forgetting that my windows are 25 years old! The same great family that owned the business then, still owns it today. A friend asked for a window referral the other day, and I was happy to refer Swingline, now Legacy. The owner is also an Eagle Scout, just as my son is, and that speaks volumes to longevity, reputation, quality and follow-through. The crew arrived promptly and installed my two 8 foot windows in roughly 2 hours. The crew kept the construction area clean the entire job. The finished product looks great!!!!! I am happy.

Husbands business, we have their windows and doors in our house. They are quiet, energy efficient and work great even after 12 years.

From start to finish, in all my years, I have never experienced a contractor that did exactly what they promised. Initially, we sat down with Alan from Legacy. His knowledge and longevity with the company sold us. With pleasant surprise, we come to find out that everyone who works there was at least there over 15 years!!! You don't see that in anymore these days. Legacy sold and built what we wanted, when we wanted and it looks great. You just don't see that kind of reliability in contractors in my experience. We would highly recommend Legacy.

They did a great job - they put in a larger window than the original so it was not simple. The result is amazing and I have gotten many complaints. I love seeing my backyard from this new window.

Legacy did all of the windows and doors at our house. The products are great quality and the installation was done really well. We have needed them for service a few times later one (ripped screens) and they have been great about getting things taken care of.

We had the aluminum/asbestos tile siding replaced on our almost 70 year old house. The crew was pleasant, courteous, and very mindful of our neighbors. They took the extra step to advise them to move their vehicles to prevent damage should debris at the worksite inadvertently fall nearby. Our house had multiple angles/irregularities and the crew created smooth sleek lines to the entire home. It was a total transformation upon completion! We can't stop admiring how wonderful our house looks now. Many neighbors have stopped to compliment the new look as well as the onsite crew.
The crew did a great job on cleanup, too. I think is cleaner now after the job than before they started. We highly recommend Legacy Remodeling for siding replacement.

I purchased whole house windows from Swingline Windows in 2004 before the company became part of Legacy Remodeling. Legacy just honored my lifetime warranty 19 years later and installed some window balancers at no charge that had gone bad. Legacy staff responded quickly to my request and did a great job. Will use them for any future remodeling job.

Legacy Remodeling responded promptly to our request for an estimate to replace a window that was stuck open and damaged. They returned to temporarily close our window which required a ladder and dealing with an icy roof. They were friendly and professional and we will update our review after they replace the window. The installers did a great job with our walk in showers, they took their time and ensured everything was completed properly. I would highly recommend!

We used Legacy to install a new front door and storm door about a year ago. We had an issue with the storm door handle coming loose recently and they came right out to fix it free of charge. They even left us a tool should the screw come loose again. From start to finish everyone we worked with is so friendly, knowledgeable, professional and quick! The job looks great. I started with an old pink tub and old plumbing and old tiles which often regularly had to be regrouted and caulked due to mold. Now I am happy with the final look. Probably going to use them for my kitchen remodel as well.

I received a call from Jeff, the owner of Legacy remodeling because he wanted to offer me some clarity on what happened with Soft-Lite windows and to clear up some misinformation that one of his employees told me.
Although they can no longer get replacement parts from Soft-Lite, I, as a customer, can, and they will guide me through it. Once I have the parts in hand they will send out a team member to install any part for the life of the window at no cost to me.
Jeff's phone call to me goes a long way to show their commitment to customer satisfaction and has restored my faith in Legacy Remodeling

The following paragraph is infact inaccurate because of an employee not completely understanding how the separation of Soft Lite from Legacy will be handled.
" I contacted Legacy because I had an issue with the Soft-Lite Elements window they installed for me in 2018, only to find out they are no longer a reseller for Soft-Lite, and they cannot get replacement parts or repair the windows.
So now the warranty that they talked about for these windows will be the last windows you will ever buy, is useless. They offered no further assistance and just said I needed to contact Soft Lite directly."

Let me start by saying when I have a major home project done, I expect perfection; Legacy Remodeling did not disappoint. From Start to finish they checked all of the boxes. We first met Legacy Remodeling at the Butler home show along with 4 other companies. Kurt Sommerfeld came to our house for the estimate. He was prompt and professional and did not waste our time with BS. He explained the installation process and went over the features of the Soft-lite Elements window in detail, he never pressured us to sign today to get this price. We had 5 companies give us estimates, and most of them gave us the sign-today sales pitch. He gave us his cellphone number and always returned our calls promptly. Jeff, the installer, was on site about a week later and did a very detailed measurement. We did have a delay in getting the windows installed, so we called Kurt, and he informed us that Soft-lite got overrun because of a free triple glaze upgrade they were offering. Installation was pure perfection. Jeff and Reggie installed all 15 windows in one day. They were polite and very neat, covered all flooring, and swept the place clean when done. I can say I highly recommend using Legacy Remodeling for any project.

I can not say enough about Legacy Remodeling. Everyone has stories about the Bad Experiences, they seem to have. With Remodeling Companies. I can truly say, I have never been so happy with every aspect of my Projects, they have done. The owner Jeff Moeslein has hired a Full Team, that knows and handles everything. Main factors for me, when having a job done. Communication, Warranty, Commitment and Quality Craftsmanship. The have it all. If you have a chance and are looking for some Remodeling.
