Installed a tankless hot water heater four months or so later it quits working I told him on Monday morning he said when he comes to town he would look at it…well three days of cold showers I decided to check it out. Both sets of wire nuts looked like a kid taped them up and they were loose one had fallen off and the bare wires were touching the metal frame of heater. Coincidentally or not my battery burnt up that day. I also had him install a bathroom vent with a smart fan, 370 some dollar job. Part of that job was supposed to include sealing bedroom vent as person I bought camper from haphazardly attached it with smh duct tape. I went up to check why it was leaking and duct tape was still there. Then I looked at the inside shroud cover and it was missing 8 screws. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and I’m sure could do great work but my camper got half ass work and after all this he was still rude to me…I also had to pay somebody else to do the roof….he ghosted me for a week I sent pictures videos he never said a word…
We came back to our camper with a dead battery. After charging with generator still had a “dead battery”. It appears I wasn’t getting power from the battery and when I charged it the converter was quiet. I knew the battery was new so I checked all my fuses and they were good. I called Jim because he was closest and he called back very quickly and had me do some more trouble shooting. We determined it was a bad converter so he was able to retrieve one from his shop and installed it quickly. His prices are reasonable and he is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!
I first contacted Jim’s RV service to come check out my 30+ foot trailer in Vermont because of a leak that damaged my kitchen ceiling. He came and inspected the roof and gave me an honest opinion about replacing the roof. It was expensive to replace for the age and condition of the trailer but he suggested as the leak was repaired that I tarp the roof in the Fall. He came back in the fall and drained and closed down the trailer for me and tarped it. He did a great job. Every spring, in the past, when we’ve opened the trailer, we have found mould in the kitchen. This year, there was none. I will definitely ask Jim’s RV service to come back this fall to close and tarp our trailer. Great service and very knowledgeable. Good rates too!
