They told me my transmission was ruined and that the car was not drivable. They said I could fix the transmission for $7000. Mind you they have been asking to buy my car for a while now. But with their claim of a transmission being ruined, they offered $500-1000 for my car. Unethical.

I reviewed my paperwork; just a month earlier, a sensor plug leak was mentioned on my diagnostic paperwork. Instead of verbally mentioning this to me, I end up with a serious leak.

I took my car to a trustworthy mechanic. He fixed the transmission concerns for a fraction of their quoted cost to fix the transmission. I am driving my car now with no problems.

They also wanted to replace my fob for $300. I went to Ace Hardware and paid $36 for a fob replacement.

Buyer beware.

Absolutely 5 stars for Island Honda. I bought my HR-V new from them a little less than a year ago, and everytime I've come in for maintenance (oil change, unexpected flat tire), they have been so kind, helpful, and fast. I limped in on that flat from the West Side (ran over a nail) and it was changed in no time with no appointment! So grateful to have Island Honda here - cars can be stressful and they've made it so easy (and I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of on either sale or service). Mahalo!

Harrison was professional and helped me find what I believed to be a solid first car, so this review is more directed at the service department. I expected a more thorough inspection on their end. I didn’t need a full diagnostic—I already knew what was wrong—but still had to wait two weeks just to get an appointment. I did miss that appointment due to a busy schedule, but they don’t send any reminder emails or texts, which would have been helpful.

Because I missed the appointment, the car was never actually seen. When I tried to reschedule, the earliest available date was another two weeks out—just to confirm the issue and order the part. That kind of delay is frustrating. The issue was brought up during the 30-day warranty window, but the service was going to happen after that, and I’m fairly certain I would’ve been charged.

In the end, I bought the part myself and will reprogram it on my own.

I understand the car wasn’t expensive, but it’s still disappointing to drive without a working radio, backup camera, or any functional display controls.

I had an appointment for an oil change. It was quick about 30 minutes early Saturday morning. Quick check in and complimentary tire rotation and topped off my fluids. Very helpful

Had an excellent experience buying a Civic Honda. The salesman Sebastian Gomez was extremely helpful and responsive. I have driven Hondas on Maui for many years and have been very pleased with the maintenance service also.

Everything is all good when I bring my car for service no problem they’ll incharged but one day I ask for air they told me short staffing just go to gas stations which I don’t know nothing that’s why I went there but I didn’t get any good service at all. I left with no air on my car just because they didn’t accommodate me just a little thing. But what I’m saying at least say something accommodate it’s not like saying short staff. I departed with no satisfaction it’s just a little consideration sometimes.

I service my cars there all the time. Easy online appointment booking, friendly staff, excellent technicians! Easy & quick drop off/pickup.Shuttle service is a plus! I feel prices are fair

I like that they do an oil change but also check several other important items like the battery, rotate tires etc. I have a record of the history of these test results overtime. Thank you for your courtesy
