The customer reviews for Island Honda present a largely negative sentiment, particularly regarding the sale of used cars and customer service. Several customers reported serious issues with their vehicles shortly after purchase, labeling them as 'lemons' and criticizing the dealership for unresponsive and unethical practices. - Great experience! They offered a fair price for my trade in and were not at all pushy or unreasonable like some other dealers!
- Julius has always done his best to get me a good price. This is the 4th car we bought with Julius, all good!
- Had a super great experience at Island Honda. Rob was just a great help! Highly highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a new or used vehicle.
- Jacob Kealoha was very helpful and professional. He helped us out and did as much as he could to give me the best deal available.
- Absolutely 5 stars for Island Honda. I bought my HR-V new from them a little less than a year ago, and every time I've come in for maintenance, they have been so kind, helpful, and fast.

Buyers beware, bought a car $16,000 from turned out to be a lemon not even two weeks in I dumped 3k into the car now there is a long list of issues from the transmission etc. (another 8k to fix) reached out to them multiple times regarding this in the first few weeks with no avail. Terrible customer service these people have no remorse taking your money and not looking back, hope this saves someone from the same fate I had from these scammers. Don’t go to the sales person Chaz either he the one who sold me this pos. Now I’m out 19k and they will do nothing about it, hope this helps someone.
If I could give less than one star, I would. My experience with Island Honda was a complete nightmare from start to finish. I feel it’s my responsibility to warn others, especially local residents, about the unethical practices going on here.
To start, Chaz—the salesman I unfortunately had to deal with—is a manipulative liar. He used every trick in the book to make the sale happen, constantly shifting stories, making promises he had no intention of keeping, and pushing hard not for customer satisfaction but clearly just to lock in his commission. He came off as friendly at first, but it became clear real fast that it was all an act to close the deal.
The vehicle I was sold had visible issues that were conveniently painted over—literally and figuratively. As soon as the car left the lot, the problems started surfacing. It’s obvious they did the bare minimum to cover up mechanical and cosmetic flaws just long enough to get it off their lot. There was no effort from anyone at Island Honda to make things right once I came back with concerns. Calls went unanswered, and the blame was always shifted.
To make matters worse, they nickel and dime you at every turn, padding the final paperwork with shady fees and vague charges that don’t make sense. It’s a classic case of a dealership taking advantage of locals who are just trying to find reliable transportation without being swindled.
Island Honda is ripping off this community one sale at a time, and people like Chaz are at the heart of the problem. I regret ever setting foot in this dealership and strongly encourage anyone reading this to take their business elsewhere. Protect your wallet, your peace of mind, and your vehicle safety—do not trust Island Honda.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is the definition of shady. I bought a used car from them that turned out to be a complete lemon. Within two weeks, the check engine light came on. Took it to a trusted mechanic who found a laundry list of issues that should have never passed inspection – including a leaking head gasket and transmission problems.
When I called the dealership, they gave me the runaround, claiming everything was “sold as-is” and tried to blame me for the issues. They clearly patch up cars just enough to get them off the lot and into unsuspecting buyers’ hands. Classic bait-and-switch.
Save yourself the headache, the money, and the stress. There are plenty of honest dealerships out there – this is not one of them.
