Hardware Lumber Maui

I have been going to Hardware Lumber Maui for years & today went to purchase over $5000 worth of lumber, not to mention that I have multiple jobs coming up that I would have made very large orders for, so now they are losing tens of thousands of dollars just in the next few months. The guys in the office have always been super cool & helpful but the guy in the lumber yard should be fired. He is condescending, rude, unhelpful & a complete racist. First as I saw him I said, "How you doing buddy?" & he didn't answer, then he grabbed the 4x4s with a fork lift & set them down & rudely told me, I have to pick them all out myself, I hadn't planned on measuring & was just making the order so didn't have a tape measure with me, when I asked for a tape measure, he said "NO!" & then pointed at a broken bent tape measure 30ft away that he made me go get. Then as I was measuring, which should not be my job as it is, the bent tape measure wouldn't work, he refused to help me & just watched me struggling. I proceeded to load the boards that I could by myself, when I got to the 16 footers, I asked him for help & again, he said, "NO!" I said "Ok", then can you move part of the pile with the forklift so I can get to the load by myself, he freaked out & then started throwing the lumber around very dangerously, with it almost falling on me! I had to step back so I wasn't hit & told him, I can't work with you & had to go speak to the manager. After being called a "Haole" a few times & told they don't need my "Haole" business, I will not be returning; I have been a carpenter on Maui for over 40 years, know many people in the business & will be telling anyone I work with how I was treated there.

The wood selection was excellent. Just an FYI. I purchased (2) pieces of Koa wood (cut into 18" pieces) to take back to Colorado with us. I had an issue at the airport with the inspectors . They found a few worm holes in (2) pieces of the wood and would not allow it to pass thru. Please advise any future buyer's of this issue. Otherwise I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Than You
