These guys are seriously the best. They explain how they fixed our furnace/AC.
They are NOT pushy to replace equipment. They will actually fix older units, and advise what's next best steps for repairs and when to expect end of life.

We returned from vacation to find that our air conditioning was low on expired Freon, and needed to either be charged or replaced.

The first company that came out didn’t answer any questions and tried to sell us on a $12-$18,000 system. I called around to other places who were not very helpful with answers.

However, Scott and Ellie Spent a very long time answering all of my completely ignorant questions about the different Freon, about different types of units, and what would be the best option for my my home.

I was able to ask all of the questions I needed to over the phone, and make a decision about the equipment we needed for the home. They were able to check and see what was in stock, and even though we were only talking in the late evening, they were able to come the following morning and install the new air-conditioning and furnace.

Not only that, the total bill came to around $7500, for a unit that was better than the original one put into the house, installed immediately without a wait, And I am so extremely happy that I found them through the Connect Utah Facebook group.

After the installation, I have several questions trying to set up our Smart thermostat, and Ian giving our fan to run regularly to even the temperature throughout the house. They answered every single question patiently and promptly.

Not only was the workmanship, outstanding, and the speed of the insulation the best I could ever have hope for, they are extremely compassionate and caring people, who want to do right by their customers, and make sure they are informed without any pushy sales tactics.

Ellie is the best. Our air conditioner went out this summer on one of the hottest weekends of the year. We called several companies for the bids and Ellie was not only extremely fair compared to our other bidders, (we had 4 other bids and she was by far our cheapest bid) but also exceptionally thorough, knowledgeable and professional. They fit us in on short notice and worked very efficiently. My wife and I have both referred friends and family to Ellie and will continue to do so.

I had Scott come out and take a look at my AC because it wasn’t blowing cold. He was super knowledgeable and had it repaired really quick. His prices were extremely fair and I definitely recommend his services.

I was given Ellie’s contact when her team was assigned to do some HVAC repair at one of my clients purchases. They gave a fair bid, and they said they would be out to fix the A/C and Furnace a couple days after closing but before the new owners wanted to move in. I knew they had gone on a trip - so I was lenient with them and tried to get answers from them as to when my clients repair could get done. It continuously got pushed back further and further, until I was ultimately ghosted and the appointment we had agreed on was a no-show. I called and texted, meanwhile I was taking the heat from my clients because of having no A/C in 90 degree weather after they were promised it would be fixed. To this day I haven’t gotten a response.

So happy with Scott & Ellie’s availability & easy to work with Schedule! They truly try and take care of all their customers, with excellent customer service, knowledge and worked with us on to not only bandaid our A/C & Furnace tell we where able afford to install a whole new unit! They came on time, got it done quickly and happy to say, our house hasn’t been this cold during the heat of the summer in YEARS!!! Highly recommend them!

Extraodin-aire was amazing. Our 20 yr old heater and A/C were struggling. The bid was competitive with the other companies, but Extraordinaire's clear knowledge and willingness to explain options, not just with the units but with some duct work and venting changes that needed to be done, made us choose them. Scott is so knowledgeable! Their frank, honest, and positive interactions with us were really important to us. They, very kindly, worked around the shifting time-frame issues we were having (due to remodel hassles popping up at the house). They were always happy to answer extra questions I had. They worked clean and were very easy to work with. With such an investment, it was refreshing to work with this caliber of people. We do thank them and would anytime recommend them.

Exceptional Service. Our Air conditioner stopped blowing cold air on a Friday Morning in record heats. I was not able to be home. Everyone told me they would not be able to get out there until Monday. Not Extraordin-Aire. They got out there Friday probably after their work ours so we did not go all weekend without air conditioning. Quickly found the problem and fixed it. Didn’t try to make it more than it was. Ellie and Scott were AMAZING!! They went above and beyond to help us when our air conditioner went out on a Friday night. They worked with us over the weekend, giving up tricks and tips to try to get it running until they could get there Monday morning. Of course our a/c dies when it is 100°, and after reading such positive reviews, I thought I would try Extraordin-Aire. They take 30 years of knowledge and experience and will give you an honest recommendation. Extraordin-Aire was able to fix our a/c in 30 minutes. However, they gave us an analysis of the condition of our17-year-old a/c and life expectancy, costs, etc. Great service from scheduling, repair, and paying invoice. We will be working with you in the future for all our A/C, heat, or plumbing issues.

This husband and wife team has got it going on. They have found the perfect synergy that all other trades lack. My AC was on but not Blowing air through the Vents. I thought we need a duct cleaning. They told us no and walked us through how to clean our coils and how to clean the fan to the furnace. Hands down the best company! We will be forever customers. Highly recommend

This company is amazing! Our A.C. went out on a Friday ofcourse. The only slot they had available was Monday BUT we were cooking at 90 degrees in the house! We had our AC unit go out unexpectedly during an exessive heat warning. These guys showed up the same day to look at what eas wrong and it turns out we needed to replace the whole unit. They made time for us in their busy schedule the next day to replace it!

I sent Ellie a text saying what a mother company said was wrong with my air conditioner. She said she could have a bud over shortly. She did! And they installed the next day. They didn’t pressure me to change my furnace or any other unnecessary items.

I used Extraordin-Aire several times in the past, but my review is based on two specific instances.

I needed a new HVAC system for a 3,000+ sq ft home. Since Scott had serviced our home before for a warranty issue, I felt fine getting a quote from him. I didn't know squat about a/c systems at that time, but Scott told me he had an "awesome" system at a "great" price. I trusted him to take care of our system, so we went with their quote. Lo and behold, after the system was installed, and having several other technicians from other companies come by to service it, I have learned what he installed was a Rheem 100,000 BTU, single-stage, 80% efficiency furnace. Our home is about 2,800 sq ft, and what our home SHOULD have is a 120,000 BTU minimum, two-stage, 96% efficiency furnace. I was very disappointed to have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on a system that doesn't really serve our needs. I have had quotes from other companies where I could have bought the correct system at the same price Scott and Ellie charged.

The other, larger issue is as follows: I needed a creative solution to heat/cool an older home (it didn't have any ductwork). Scott walked the house and recommended a single, large ductless system. I paid them a deposit of several thousand dollars, and they ordered the system. My electrician was behind schedule, and it took longer than expected for the house to be ready for the ductless install. To be fair, Ellie contacted me once a month or so to ask if we were ready. When I was finally ready for the install, I called Ellie to schedule. No answer. I left a message. No response. I called again several days later. No answer, no reply. After about another week of calling and leaving messages, I got a short email or text--something like "we'll get back to you". I gave them another few days, but I never heard back. I continued calling/texting for another couple weeks or so. At that point, I got worried. I had been stiffed for $15k already on that job, by other contractors, and I was paranoid. I tried contacting Scott and Ellie via email, facebook, any means possible. Nothing.

I finally called the police and asked for an address. I told the sheriff I wanted the address to go to their house and see what was going on with my deposit money and ductless system. In my paranoid state, I wondered if they had taken my deposit and skipped town (that has actually happened to me before). The police gave me the address, but they said, "whatever you do, do NOT go there alone. If you go, call our office so we can have someone on hand, just in case."

I ended up driving to their house around 9am on a Saturday morning. The police also arrived. Long story short, they were home and she said they were having personal issues. I apologized profusely and left. A few minutes later, I texted another apology--especially about the personal family issues and the fact the police insisted on being there. However, Ellie was OUTRAGED and said they were canceling the job and would refund my money. I apologized again and explained my actions. She was adamant--job is over, do not pass GO, do not collect $200.

So I had to find another contractor on short notice. And guess what? I found someone who did a better system with a better warranty at a lower price! I'm SO happy they canceled the job on me.

When they refunded my deposit, I think it was petty they deducted more than the restocking fee. Ellie wrote a couple line items on the statement charging me for things they had previously done and said were "free of charge", but I guess they decided they weren't free after all. Not cool.

Fantastic service! They were on time and very helpful. Fixed my problem and explained it to me in great detail. Highly recommend!

Had an appointment set up through my home warranty company. Quick to schedule the appointment. Day of, they needed to reschedule, which I was totally ok with, I understand things happen. Well new appointment day rolls around, never hear from them. I call, they say they're calling the technician and will call me right back. Never heard from them again. Tried calling again the next day to find out wth happened, straight to VM. I Immediately cancelled my visit, it wasn't going to happen anyway, and don't think the service would have been that great anyway if they can't do something as simple as call, or SHOW UP

I have used Extraordin-Aire several times and have been impressed by their quick responses and good work. Most recently had my water heater stop working and they came out the next day and had it replaced at a reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend them for any of their offered services.

Had a AC go out, the home warranty company sent over a tech to diagnose the problem. Ellie worked with us through the process to get our AC replaces as it had multiple leaks. She went above and beyond to help us with this problem. She recommended to install an new heater at the same time, no pushy sales pitch. Just an honest recommendation, after crunching the numbers we decided to go ahead and replace our furnace at the same time as they were both original to the home and it would be a matter of time before it went out. The system they did not have in stock but that did not stop Ellie from finding one, having it overnight shipped and installed on a Saturday. Amazing service, cleaned up the mess from the install and left the area clean. What an amazing experience they will be my go to place for any HVAC needs.

My home was not getting the ventilation needed to keep my home cool. I did not have the knowledge to figure out why. I got bids to have my furnace and AC replaced. None of the others mentioned the need for more ventilation to fix the problem. They were very professional, performed the replacement of a furnace, AC and correct the ventilation problem the following day! My home is so much more comfortable and I’m so grateful! Made a huge difference.

The gentleman who came was well informed, just talked through what he did, didn't beat around the bush, he was very efficient, and quick, even though we had a stall to check with insurance coverage.

Scott and Ellie were great to deal with from the first phone call, through the install and to the final warranty and registration paperwork. They are great communicators and seemed to be the only HVAC professionals that bid my job who actually understood how the equipment they install integrates with my existing home’s features and limitations and they designed my system accordingly. Mikel Hicks Jr. I wouldn’t hire them now even if they were the cheapest in town!! The first appointment they were supposed to be here around 9/1000, had to follow up at 11:30 for status. They said they’d be here at 1. NEVER showed up! I gave them the benefit of the doubt that something may’ve happened but never got a call. I contacted them two days later asking if they’re still interested and they said yes. They were scheduled to come back out today. Again, they said they’d be here around 9. I sent a text at 7:59am to confirm they were coming out, they said yes leaving canyon soon. I waited around till 9:34 asking for ETA, sent text asking and didn’t hear back till 10:30 that he had tire problems. He could’ve given me a call to let me know there would be a delay but once again they didn’t. And 1:54 I received a text that the tire was fixed and he was on his way from a. Ogden. At 3:05 I asked for status and it’s 4:05 and they’ve not bothered to reply nor call. Rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate of people’s time. Oh yes, last time I had a tire problem, it didn’t take me 4hrs to get fixed!

I highly recommend!!! Ac broke and every other company was a week or more out! Called and expressed to Ellie and Scott that I had a 5 month old that couldn’t take the heat and they were out the next day and worked fast to get my home back to comfortable temperatures!

These guys were quick to meet with me and give me a quote for all new HVAC!! They were over $2k cheaper than the HVAC Company in town that wanted to put an industrial unit on my roof!!!?? Our AC stopped working on a Friday evening. Saturday morning I start a message and immediately got a response saying I'd receive a call in 5 minutes. The call came as promised and I was told they could be there in 1 1/5 hr. Actually arrived sooner and had the part replaced and the unit up and running right away. A technician from a competitor has already told me that the unit would have to be replaced. They didn't charge after hours service fees as they were already in the area and they were honest not trying to sell a new unit before it was necessary. It's great to find this kind quality of service and honesty!!!

Our heater would run for hours without really heating up our condo and we only had a swamp cooler for air conditioning. Extraordin-Aire came out and gave us a bid to replace the whole system. Long story short my in-laws furnace stopped working while they were out of town. We called Ellie and they were out first thing the next morning. The furnace needed a part so they ordered it and had it up and running two days later, long before my in-laws we’re back from vacation. Thanks so much for you help and professionalism!

I had several different issues with my furnace over a span of several weeks. I spoke to them several times regarding the problems I was having. They helped me to diagnose possible problems over the phone that I could try on my own before I ultimately decided to schedule a service visit. I was able to schedule an appointment the day I called within a couple hours. After they came out, they were able to determine that their first diagnosis was correct and they fixed the problem for me. They gave me a few extra tips before they left. And undercharged me for their visit. Yes. That’s right. They undercharged me! I’m grateful that good people still exist and are willing to help others out who really can use the help. This business is honest, knowledgeable, and understands the value of excellent customer service. They really took the time to help me and educate me.

My husband and I built a tiny home in California and moved up here over 2 years ago with no issues with gas hook up. We moved to a better place and tried hooking up our gas and “magically” there’s no record of us with the city or Dominion despite paying for gas the last 2 years with Dominion. Nevertheless, Ellie and her husband helped us through it and, after a month of fighting with the city and dominion, got gas within a couple days with their help.

They were not only professional but compassionate and punctual. I highly recommend them!

Scott and Ellie are wonderful to work with! We woke up early in the morning to a very cold home last November. We called Extraordin-aire and Ellie arranged their schedule to fit us in and they devoted a day to install a new furnace. They even offered space heaters!
