From my initial call for an estimate to finished job - WOW! Gunnar turned my "ultra 90's" bathroom into a modern beauty!! He did it all, demo, plumbing, electrical, tile and more ON BUDGET! My wife and I can not recommend Gunnar and his crew enough! We had our kitchen redone and it came out better than we could have hoped for. Gunnar suggested a few ideas and his workmanship was spot on! I wish I could give 10 stars!

We have used Gunnar and his team more than a 1/2 dozen times over the past 10 years. Projects total over $100,000 at our home, barn, and cabin. Would not call anyone else. They have been easy to work with, fair, and always on time. Highly recommend.

I requested a custom fireplace mantel to be designed and installed in our new home. We had many companies reach out to us with their own opinions, but we ultimately chose Hanson Home Works. Not only did Gunnar listen to my ideas, but he was amazing at answering all my questions and patiently listened to my concerns. I have never worked with such an amazing and professional company in my life! The absolute pride and beauty they put into their work was above and beyond what I had ever expected! I will always chose them for any future plans, upgrades and consulting services. They are absolutely amazing!!

BEWARE! The owner Gunnar Hanson was referred as a contractor a few times on the local Roy City page, and I now wonder if some of these people were his friends? I wanted to remodel my bathroom. Then sheetrock my laundry room, paint, and install LVP flooring throughout. At first I was impressed all though Gunnar did not work on the actual job until the end and sent his two workers Michael and Daniel each day. They showed up each day on time and worked 8:00 am-4:30 pm each day. Both employees seemed great and that they took pride in their work. Upon getting close to their due date to finish and start the next job Michael started cutting corners. He left pry marks all over my baseboards from using the screwdriver to lift and slide the LVP floor planks under. He removed my door frame for the same reason and then put it back on without touching up any paint that was chipped off in the process. My brand new toilet has burn marks at the bottom from using his grinder to cut off the toilet bolts and letting his grinder get to close and hot next to the toilet. I requested two tone paint of gray walls and white ceiling and baseboards in the bathroom. All white paint showed through the gray needing another coat. In my laundry room he painted the white paint only half way up the walls leaving me now with two different shades of white paint showing. They did not center my medicine cabinet making it therefore not fit next to the light switch. So they ended up cutting the light switch 3/4th it's size and rtv it next to the medicine cabinet. They put my heating vent back up with the screws going sideways and stripping them because they couldn't find the holes. At the end of completion I requested Gunnar fix all these issues. He came back to fix these issues and said I cheated him out of $30 for hanging my towell bars. I specifically remembered he added it in the receipt of me paying the final due. So I showed him the receipt. He still insisted I cheated him, to then go onto not paying him for the sheet rock fix he did that day. I told him your worker automatically hung the towell bars, and if I would have known I'd be charged for them, my husband could have hung them just as easy. As for the sheet rock, he did add that in on me as well on the final receipt for $50. I followed up with telling him you are worried about $30 bucks when I just paid you for a $15,000 dollar job! In which, I did pay the $50. I took pics for some examples of workmanship in my house for viewing.

The best part of the whole project was the granite shower I requested, and thankfully that is because an actual shower company came and installed it all instead of them.

I do NOT recommend using his company Hanson Home Works, Inc. unless you are not concerned with the quality of work done in your home.

Gunnar and his team have complete led two projects for me. A basement remodel and two bathroom remodels. They are always on time, communicate clearly, respect your property and fair. I will be calling Gunnar for future projects.

My wife and I have used Gunnar Hanson for years. Gunnar is easy to work with and does quality work. Every time we have an upgrade or renovation project at our house we call Gunner. He is reasonably priced. The deck Gunner built for us is solid. We love the look and design of our new Trex deck. Thanks Gunnar.

We had Gunnar come out to give us a bid on redoing an older outdated bathroom, bedroom flooring, and new windowsills.His bid was comprehensive, timely, and fair. Gunnar was able to get us on his schedule without a big delay. The project turned out great and Gunnar was awesome to work with us with making some minor adjustments to the scope of the project. The shower went from barely accommodating a 6 foot person to a full 8 foot floor to ceiling height. The new barn door really brought a modern touch. The tile looks fantastic and we love the new lvp flooring! Gunnar was respectful of the home and kept things tidy. He even endured some of the worst traffic and weather every day.

Gunnar was amazing. We wanted to redo our OLD shower and we had looked at inserts, tile and doing it ourselves. We decided to go with Hanson Home Works. The best decision we could have made. We LOVE our new shower.

They did a great job remodeling the top floor of my house! I will be going to Hanson Home Works for any projects I have in the future.

Mr. Hanson completed the laundry side of our basement. All of the adjectives that describe an excellent worker applies to Mr. Hanson. His crew member Daniel was notably exceptional.

Mr. Hanson provided an estimate in advance. We were consistently informed of any changes and issue that arose. Due to Mr. Hanson discovery of a bathroom pipe leak we avoided an extra expense.

We had very specific design requests. Mr. Hanson was an effective listener. His creativity and craftsmanship exceeded our expectations.

What was the most important trait was Mr. Hanson's integrity. When he returned unused items to the store without asking he provided receipts.

Mr. Hanson was punctual and cleaned after his work was completed.

We only want Mr. Hanson and request that he brings Daniel with him.
They were so professsional.

First contractor I've ever had who actually shows up when they say they will, performs much of the work himself, and keeps a skilled and responsible crew. Excellent work W/outcome better than I imagined it could be. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an honest and highly respectable, skilled craftsman.

Hansome Home works fit us in his schedule within a few days of calling. He showed up right on time and did an excellent job on our french door installation. We bought the door at home depot and they would not install it because it was a bit smaller than our current door. Gunnar had no problem and did it for less than the Home depot quote. Use Hansom Home Works!!

Gunnar, Michael and Tavis are a skilled team and do great work. This is the third time we have hired Hanson home works. The first time they fixed some structural issues in our attic, the second time they created an apartment in our basement, and just recently they completed a kitchen renovation project. Gunnar always shows up when he says he will and completes projects in a timely manner. He helps solve design issues and has a wide knowledge and experience base. He guarantees his work, once our gutter that he installed needed a repair after some heavy rain, he showed up and fixed it right away. We enjoy working with him and his crew and give them our highest recommendation.

HHW did a great job adding two new offices and finishing a bathroom in our building. Framed, sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, and painting. From start to finish, great quality work,

Gunnar did a fantastic job at a great price!!! I would definitely recommend him and use him for other jobs!!!

We hired Gunnar to build an upper deck above our back patio, to include a waterproof system so it would provide cover to the back door. Also he built new steps to the back door from the patio. I liked his detailed estimate and his price was competitive, much lower than Lowe’s in particular. Deciding to do a big project was a big commitment for us. Skip ahead to when the project was finished and we are so overwhelmed with how nice it looks! We feel like we’re on vacation when we use our new deck that has a view of the mountains. Our two big dogs have cover and don’t track as much water in the house when it rains. We’ve had many people comment on how nice it looks (we back up to Emma Russell Park).

Gunnar was great to work with. When questions or issues came up, we were able to discuss it with him and everything exceded our expectations when it was done. I’d recommend him to anyone and would hire him again for future projects. Thanks Gunnar!

Two stars for quality, one extra star just because the job is finished. I would NOT recommend for drywall. The problems include:
-Nail heads poking out of drywall
-inconsistent smooth texturing (lots of tiny holes all over, and patches of rough texture)
-textured drywall on ceiling is FLAKING OFF (Job was finished a month ago and it was flaking off immediately after)
-they cut cement board in my house, causing myself and young kids to have red itchy eyes for 24 hours
-they used my brand new shop vac to clean drywall dust without even asking (I personally used it twice before they came in and used it. It's so dirty and doesn't work nearly as well, so this is very disappointing)
-little to none was done to mitigate the drywall dust mess. I was the one hanging the thickest possible plastic up in doorways, covering vents, and putting down contractor paper to cover entry floors.
- bathroom has chipped tile, uneven mosiac tiles

Overall, they got the job done, but there was little attention to detail.

Finally, I'll say that it took me a long time to decide to write this because I know it will affect his work and I want to be fair. But the straw on the camels back was when he did not offer to fix my textured drywall, and instead blamed it on the painters (who painted my entire house, including areas finished by the original contractor - with no issues)

Gunnar and his team are good to work with and have completed two projects for me in a timely and cost effective manner. I will use him again for future projects and recommend him unreservedly.

We have used Hanson Home Works for years. They have done such a great job with the work they have done around the house. I will always recommend them to everyone.

Hanson Homeworks came to do another project at our home yesterday and the results are amazing. We asked Gunnar to do a flooring project in a room in our basement. The finished project(pictures to come soon) is so beautiful. The attention to detail and perfection this man shows is second to none. Gunnar is a true professional both in his work and his interactions with us. If your needing some work done to your home. Give Hanson Home Works a call and they will take care of you and your home.

Gunnar has completed several projects for me and always does an excellent job. His rates are very reasonable and he communicates well with the homeowner regarding the task and details involved.

I needed someone to put base molding in my newly painted 3 car garage. The job was too small for anyone to be interested in doing. Gunnar stepped up to the plate, squeezing me into his schedule on a Saturday morning, which I assumed was not one of his normal working days. What dedication!! He installed primed molding which looks so good I may not even paint it. He does quality work for a reasonable price. I heartily recommend him and would hire him again.

We have hired his services for over a decade and a half for a condominium complex and a vacation home at over 8000 feet elevation in the mountains.
