I love going to Evans Automotive because i know I will be given great service with a smile. I know I can trust the guys to do what is needed and to be honest about all needed repairs. I had my brake lights go out and needed help, Rob figured it out and replaced a small plastic piece under the brake pad and I was on my way in just a few minutes. Thanks again Rob for the quick fix.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Evan's, and in particular the manager, Nate. Top notch work, fair prices, excellent customer service. We were in a really tough situation and Nate went way above and beyond what he needed to do to help us out. It's hard to find such quality and integrity these days. Outstanding in every way. We were vacationing from Ohio and our 2003 Tahoe AC quit and there was a rattle that was quite loud. We had done a Segway tour downtown and while there I asked the tour Manager if he could refer us to a shop for a look - Thor directed us to Evans Automotive and even called them and advised they could look at the Tahoe yet that day. Wow, it was 3:00pm on a Wednesday and we could still get service.
We were met by Rob at the front counter when we arrived, he was great - he came outside, checked under the hood and told me the A/C compressor needed replaced. He then told me they could have it done by the next day. Really - I was shocked and the pricing was fair and a little less than my own mechanic in Ohio would have charged me I'm sure. Rob was friendly, professional and very helpful.
I was going to call Uber since our condo rental was about 30 minutes away. Rob said he might be able to get us a ride and the next thing we knew a friendly guy named Nate was pulling up with a ride for all four of us back to our condo. Nate was super - very gracious and kind. He got us back and I had the nerve to ask him if we could get a ride when it was done - he said if he had time and a driver he would definitely try to pick me up. Another WOW moment.
On Friday morning at 9:00am Rob called, the Tahoe was done and advised Nate would pick me up. I was more than impressed to say the least. 45 minutes later Nate arrived - Talk about service - I was expecting to pay for this round trip service, even a small fee of some sort, but it just worked out he could do it - Thank you NATE - you made our trip much better.
If you have read this entire review, trust me when I say this service center is outstanding in every way and after finding out Nate managed the center (and is part of its' legacy as an Evans....) I cannot say enough good things about Nate and the entire staff at Evans Automotive. I have a vehicle with 26 inch rims and finding good tires seems to be very difficult. After an insanely bad experience with a tire shop in Jacksonville, Nate and the team at Evans went above and beyond to help me get my vehicle situated. They thoroughly made sure I was pleased with the ride and continued to check up to make sure everything was still good, well after the install. As long as I'm living in St Augustine, I will not take any of my vehicles anywhere else.

Five star service I highly recommend Evans Automotive all my friends and family. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else. They have a customer for life.

I tried to get them to install a part for me but the guy called me and said they don't install "customer provided parts." I told the guy it didn't make sense but it was his business to run. Anyway I went to Napa and got the tools I needed for $30. 45 minutes later I had everything taken care of and saved I'm guessing hundreds of dollars in labor costs. A less ethical shop would have probably let me bring my car in and done the other work I need done before telling me they wouldn't help me with a simple installation. Evans Automotive gave me the confidence to take care of it myself and now I can get my tires and oil change at discount tire. What a savings.

Evans is the best I trust them with both my car and van, They are really good at serving the customer. I will keep coming back to Evans.

I've been going here for maybe 3+ years and the customer service is always amazing. I usually get oil changes, rotations, alignment done here, etc. They've also helped me out (twice!) when my splash shield on my car just fell apart and started dragging, and removed it no charge! It was very sweet - they have my business forever.

I recently had new motor mounts put on my vehicle and my Ford drives like brand new. I have been a loyal customer of Evans automotive for over 20 years and have always had great service. I took my car in on a Thursday after the New Year holiday and it was repaired by the following afternoon. I was kept informed of what was needed the first day it was taken in.

My son was towed to Evans from I 95 (St. Augustine area) on his way home to Augusta, GA from our house in Titusville. His tire was shredded by road debris and could not be repaired. The Evans team took great care of him. They did not have exactly the tire he needed but gave him a great recommendation that got him home safely the same night and we are very grateful! If you’re looking for a shop to take care of your car, this is it. I was lucky enough to meet Justin yesterday (12/19) and take a tour of their shop. It’s so clean and efficient and very well equipped. The people are professional, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. They work on everything so they can take care of tires, brakes, repairs, maintenance etc on almost any car or truck. I also loved how they had a small portion of the business dedicated to classic car repair. I spoke to the classic car technician for a moment and he was super knowledgeable and approachable. Consistently for over 10 years Evan's has serviced almost every car that my family has owned. Although you could get service somewhere a little cheaper (and usually not by much) every time that I have I came to regret it and wish I had just had it done at Evan's. More than once I've gotten a faulty part put in but they have honored every warranty on the parts as well as their work every time there was an issue. Their advice on mechanical issues has always been great and several times I've gone in to have something fixed expecting it to be a big issue with an expensive part only to find that they looked at it and managed to fix it for considerably less than their original quotes. I went in one time expecting to pay over $800, they had even ordered a part for me, and when they called me to come pick it up they only charged me $75 cause they found a different issue that was fixed with maybe 15 minutes worth of work and tightening a random belt or something (I don't know what they did, I wouldn't know a belt from a zip-tie) which fixed everything they had originally diagnosed. They've kept 9 of my family's cars functional over the time I've used them and managed to keep one or two of them going LONG after I should have given up on said car.

I also notice that almost all the employees I knew when I started going there over a decade ago are still working with them. Longevity in employment can tell you a lot about a business and I hope they are all taken care of as well as it seems that they are to me.

This is the place to take your car if you live in and around Saint Augustine.

They actually take the time to find out what’s wrong with your vehicle instead of just throwing parts at it. If they can take care of some of the amazing classic cars they have in there they can definitely take care of yours.

I have had my Jeep in there a few times and even though it’s not always been easy for them, simple to fix, or even the cheapest for me... The work is exceptional and they take care of my vehicle vehicles as if it were their own.

Justin and his team communicate well, which means the most to me as a customer. I have been to most of the other places in and around Saint Augustine at some point in time and this is the place I will keep coming back to.

These folks were recommended to me and as hard as I found it to leave the dealership for service, Evans made it worthwhile on every level. Concern, thoroughness, and complete explanations by their very qualified staff made it an easy step for my car to find a new home for servicing. Their cost is also more reasonable than the dealership as well. Nice area to wait also.

I had an appointment an hour from my home, my car overheated on I95 and I made it off exit to Evan’s. In a busy Monday morning, the staff worked me in, found the part (a broken hose) & got me back on the road within a few hours. The waiting area is clean, well appointed with comfy seating, tv, water & snacks- which was so nice since I had no where to go and nothing to do so far from home. Very thankful for their help & highly recommend to anyone in area!!!

Don't go here they are dishonest & rip you off charging for things they didn't fix on my classic car that another shop had to fix for $200 labor when i paid $400 to Evans to fix. I brought my car to Evans twice to fix it but Thomas the classic car guy still didn't do it right so other shop had to for $200 labor. Thomas clearly doesn't know how to fix classic cars cuz other shop said he didn't put vac advance on correct port he should have put it on the demon carburetor port instead. And battery cable was loose and they didn't set the timing or the idle or the choke correctly on it so other stop had to correct it. I just wanted some of that labor charge back because it wasn't done correctly and kept dying after two times of Thomas attempting to fix it wasn't fixed. Owner refused reimbursements & Thomas wouldn't even come discuss it with me at the front desk so clearly they don't stand by their work and clearly they don't care about doing the right thing for their clients. On my other car my Camry told me I needed brake pads and rotors fixed and another automotive place told me I did not need either one that was an extra $300 I would have paid also if I would have trusted Evans to do that work when it didn't even need to be done & even marked up prices for those repairs not needing for $100 higher. Go to Power Tek they will do the right thing by you and fix it right!!!! Don't get robbed your valuable money.

Had an issue with an engine emission sensor and they where able to diagnose and repair all in one day even thought I thought it would take several. Great job!

They did a great job on both my vehicles and kept me in the loop the entire time. Couldn’t be happier. They have a customer for life. I’m a newby to Saint Augustine. When I asked around, Evan’s came up dozens of times.

I needed work done on my Jeep Wrangler. It ended up being a long annoying break job that would have cost an ungodly amount anywhere else. They kept me in the loop with every update. I had a 12 hour long trip coming up in a couple of days so time was a major aspect for me. But I also needed it done right. They got me out of there super quick, and my Jeep is running perfect again.

Not only that, but they at one point told me that the price was going to jump about $500/$600 dollars (due to the uniqueness of a part). When it came time, they were able to make something else work so that they didn’t have to charge me as much. That’s how I know they aren’t trying to rip me off and didn’t just charge me that extra amount. I worked with Rob and he was super chill and put in above and beyond effort to make something work for me.

It’s nice to know that I have a shop I can rely on and trust as a newby in the area.

I’d recommend them hand over fist just based on my first interaction with them.

I think its a decent place to have your car serviced overall, besides the high prices. My issue is I had my oil changed tires rotated and one tire installed. I didn't realize until later they didn't put back my dusk cover after changing the oil. I take good care of my car. I contacted them, they acted like they would look into and never heard back. I had to replace it myself. It cost me 63.00 bucks including shipping. I was very disappointed with how the situation was handled. In the near future, I'll be sure to check underneath my car before leaving their premises.

Nope! Liars cheaters & scammers! I took both my cars here the first one they said needed all around new brakes took to another place for second opinion and it didn't need any breaks at all replaced. They also said needed both front tie rods fixed. ALSO lies. Only one did and was $500 cheaper at Feldman. That's an honest business so go there instead! Check my classic car there same time & they attempted to fix it twice because the first time it didn't work out and I had to take it back! So then the second time I didn't get it fixed right I took it somewhere else and they fixed it and sent me back over there with a list of the things that weren't done correctly. I confronted them and ask for a refund they wouldn't back up their work and kept making excuses & so i left disgusted. I'm a female btw, if you do this to a female you get extra criminal behavior points. Go to Feldman.

Took it in for Trans service, loud pop in the front end and balance. Trans and balance feel great, they found loose hardware on the front end. Have not had the loud pop since. No nonsense, great service. As it should be!

My daughter is in college at Flagler College in St Augustine. We live in Maryland, so I needed to find a shop that would treat her fairly and couldn't be happier with how open, honest, and kind Evans has been to her. Never once in the few times we've used them did I think they were trying to take advantage of a young woman with no automotive knowledge. I highly recommend Evans.

I thought my 2012 Escalade had serious transmission/transaxle/suspension problems; after analysis all it needed was fluid change in the differentials (all-wheel-drive) and a new wheel bearing. They probably also saved me from a crash by finding that the steering knuckle was rusted in one position and might disintegrate without warning. They fixed everything, including the link on the air suspension, in less than four hours and had me on the road again. I can even hear the radio - no loud humming sound! Definitely found the place to take the Escalade and our classic Corvette for anything that might need to be done!
Have never seen a garage so clean and neat, either. People are willing to answer questions, and they even give a military discount’

Had a dead battery on way to take a friend to the hospital for a procedure , called AAA to jump start car and called Evans to have a new battery installed. The very nice man at the register understood my dilemma and installed the battery in their parking lot ( because they had appt work in the garage) so I could get on my way quickly. I so appreciate his understanding and going beyond to help me. This is one of the many reasons I use Evans.
