Big Bear Roofing - Saint Louis, MO

Never worked with the company but whoever was driving their truck rode my ass on the highway and then cut me off, so just based on that I'm gonna assume this company sucks.

1 star, I would improve the rating to 2 stars if I saw proof that the truck driver has been relegated to the company tricycle.

Our experience with Big Bear Roofing is a mixed one. While it started out great it ended on a very bad note.
In the beginning, they were responsive and full of information. After they completed our roof, the information and responsiveness stopped. We would call or text to get an update after weeks of no movement, only to be told we were on the schedule for siding. It was 3 months later before they showed up. Between siding and gutters was several more months. Anytime we would ask for an update it would either be no response or it was the same "your on the schedule" response. The entire process for our house took a YEAR and a HALF. This included roof, siding, gutters, downspouts, screens.
All the houses in our area were damaged so we knew it would be a process but when multiple houses around us go thru the same process in 6 months, we knew we chose the wrong contractor and it was going to be a fight to get it completed.

The lack of communication and responsiveness within this company is terrible. Clients shouldn't spend a year and a half questioning if the project is ever going to be completed.
Communicate with your clients within a reasonable time frame or quit taking on big projects that you can't manage.

Very satisfied with the attentive work of the roofers. They seemed very knowledgeable and driven to do a good job. Because of the trees in the yard the shingles had to be hand caried on to the roof, but it didn't seem to slow them down at all.

I had an excellent experience with Big Bear Roofing! A few weeks following a major storm in the St. Louis area we contacted several roofing companies for a quote to repair our siding. Big Bear Roofing was the only company to return our call within 24 hours and in fact the only company to return our inquiry at all. We had Conor Leach as our technician and he was very friendly, respectful, and timely! The customer service he displayed was unmatched and we are so thankful to have used this company for our previous home. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

BBR&C quoted and repaired the siding on the addition of my house and my detached garage. The existing siding was no longer in production so they sourced it, validated the match, and had the discontinued product delivered ready for the install team. The next two days the installation team knocked it out with the oversight of Greg M. who originally quoted it. Easy, quick, and clean crew to work with.

Dwight and Greg were extremely easy to work with, responsive and prompt from start to finish. On the day of the install project manager Tim and his team were on time and very efficient. I really appreciated the attention to detail once completed and a thorough clean up of the job site before leaving. All in all a top notch local company that I highly recommend!

Big bear roofing is the best!
Our whole neighborhood had hail damage and MANY roofing companies were trying to get our business. After checking reviews and better business bureau and speaking with Gregg, decided on Big Bear.
They are professional, answered all our questions, worked with our adjustor from the insurance company. We were the FIRST in the neighborhood to get our roof! No hassles. Just service. Our roof looks great. Hardest decision was picking out the color of the new roof ! So glad we decided on Big Bear ! One 13 hour day and roof was on. Followed up on the next day to see if everything was acceptable. What can I say? Perfect ! If you aren't sure who to use, choose Big Bear.

I was in need of a new roof so I reached out to a few companies. Big bear was not the cheapest but they were referred by a friend who said that they did a very good job on his roof. From start to finish everything went great and the job site was very controlled. I’m glad that I choose them for my roof installation.

I had a leak in my roof that I noticed when I saw a water spot on my ceiling. The guys came out that day to see what was going on and had it fixed the same day as well.

We had the guys at Big Bear come out last year because we needed a new roof. They took a look and said that they didn’t think we had enough hail damage to file a claim. After a few leaks came up months later we decided to have the roof replaced by them. The install only took a day and the cleanup was great. They were up front with everything and their process was seamless.

Big Bear roofing was installing a roof for my neighbor so I decided to have them look at my roof. Greg came out and said that we had similar damage as our neighbor and recommended that we file a claim on our roof. We did just that. Greg met the adjuster on site and dealt with the insurance every step of the way. Clean and easy process! Highly recommend!

Greg was very professional and courteous, explaining all the details and answering my questions. Removal of old roof and new roof instalation was completed quickly and crew took extra care cleaning property after. Even removed a few tree branches to prevent damage later.

As a Realtor I had a client selling their house in Arnold, Missouri. They found out their roof was needing to be replaced. Greg and his team was out to the home quickly, communicated every step of the way with my client and I (even showed us videos of the roof), and was able to get the work done fast. The new roof looked incredible!

Greg repaired my roof on my all season addition. We were having some water leakage and he informed me of the issue and was able to expedite me on the schedule. When he came out for the estimate he was very professional and he climbed up on the roof the same day to take some pictures and do an assessment. He also recognized I had some gutter clogging and was able to take care of that as well. On the day that work was scheduled he was having a few crew issues, but rather than wait on crew he decided to do the work himself. It was a hazy hot and humid St. Louis couple of days, but he took on the job and finished on time and on budget. He was a great communicator and he showed up on time and completely cleaned the work area after the job was done. Highly recommend!
