Gallagher Bros Construction

This company has advertising signs all over St. Louis billboards. But let me tell you - don’t expect them to follow up with you. I asked for a bid to replace my roof. They did come out - was there about 10 minutes. The guy said he would get a price for me the next day. What a joke - never heard from him. This says a lot about a company - no follow through. Poor communications. Don’t call them.

Worked with Willie throughout my insurance claim. No issues at all and he was very responsive and willing to answer questions throughout the process. The crew that came out was very good and cleaned up well when all was said and done. New roof looks great.

Brett the salesmen’s was very personal and always returned my calls about all my questions. I love the job they did and our home looks so much better after our new roof and gutters..

I was very pleased with Gallagher Bros and Brett Keenan specifically (sales rep). Buying a roof was made simple and glad we picked them!

Gallagher installed a roof for me on Father's Day 2024 to replace one originally installed just a few years prior. Another Roofing company gave me an estimate and found all kinds of problems with the way my roof was originally installed which caused inside ceiling damage from the flashing around the fireplace being improperly installed. I went with them again as they promised to guarantee (since I was just months shy of the warranty) that they would take good care of me. The roofers did not put down anything, even a tarp to protect any items in my yard. My pool cover, canopy, outdoor sectional, were heavily damaged. Even my cushions and pillows were covered with tar. They left nails everywhere. My gutters were full and even months later I had nails that transferred to my gutters/downspouts and wound up all throughout my yard and driveway. I had three flat tires at three different times. (See attached pictures). Last month, in March after the storm my ceiling began sagging and having the same issues. It had only been 8 months, so I called Gallagher to report the issue. I learned that Mike the original guy I worked with was no longer with the company. They told me I would have to wait 4 weeks out for someone to just come look at it. The first weekend, I waited all Saturday for my appt, and never heard a word, so I waited All Sunday. They never showed. After several calls and texts they rescheduled me 2 weeks later, and then once again, never showed up on the Saturday of my appt. I again thought perhaps they would come Sunday when my calls and text went unanswered. I then waited an entire week with no response. When I called the office rather than apologizing Mary was very condescending insinuating that they were too busy to deal with me, even though it had been 6 weeks and they never even showed up one time to look at my roof. When Willie finally called me he told me he would try to "fit me in" again but to make sure I had my insurance information ready to sign over. I told him my roof was only 7months old and that I just wanted an estimate and my inside ceiling looked at and he told me that is not the way they "worked". They do not give estimates. They base their charges on what the insurance pays. I told him this damage should be covered by them and it is just not right and was "shady". I also told him their customers deserved a call if they were not going to show up as 2 weekends were spent waiting for them. Not wanting to even run the lawn mower thinking I might miss them. He told me that they would no longer wanted to work with me. No apologies for never showing up, no apologies on my roof once again leaking...I was upset/shocked I called back to the office to share what transpired and Brittany answered the phone. I told it had been 6 weeks since I originally reached out to get an estimate, and she interrupted me and very derogatory said "last time you called you said it was 4 weeks get your story straight", she immediately told me they did not want to work with me. OF COURSE they don't want to work with me, they have put 3 roofs on for me, and every one has had issues and has leaked. This is a terrible company to deal with. The only decent person there was "Mike" and he has moved to Florida. I would be very leery of the way they base their prices and try to get more money from the insurance companies. And we wonder why our insurance rates are going up with these types of practices. The office women are extremely rude and condescending. It has been a terrible experience, and I cannot believe the owner of this company would allow his office personnel to treat his customers in this way. If I could give "0" stars I would. I will be looking into any legal recourse I may have. There are many roofing companies out there, Gallagher should not act like they are doing you a huge favor to just show up when they should or do the work properly.

The Gallagher Brothers were extremely professional and replaced half of our roof in a day! They did excellent work. Rex was very responsive and did a great job coordinating with us. Would absolutely work with them again!

Highly recommended!! Called them after the winter snow finally destroyed a poorly built roof (not by them). They were quick to come out and give us an estimate. Jeremy did a great job on restoring that roof. Even better was after the job, they sent someone to clean up the yard.

Just finished working with Willie W. on our roof replacement and he was great! We are only in the 2nd year of owning our home, so I had a lot of questions throughout the process and he answered all of them kindly and thoroughly.

Our home insurance is garbage (Homesite), but I hardly had to deal with them personally, as Willie and Gallagher handled it for me and made the process as seamless as possible.

There was a delay in when our roof went up due to supply chain issues, but the workmanship and shingle choice was worth the wait! And Willie was always easy to get a hold of when I wanted an update. We are very glad to have gone with Gallagher and feel secure in our choice with their five year workmanship warranty.

I regret to say that my experience with Gallagher Bros Construction has been profoundly disappointing, despite not having engaged their services. When I reached out for a quote, I encountered an alarmingly unprofessional and dismissive team member. When I asked about getting a quote for my client the team member responded with "they will probably be mad at us" after further questions the team member informed me they were currently behind on jobs. While I appreciated the honesty about their current workload of over 300 jobs, the condescending tone of the response was entirely unacceptable.

Customer service is crucial, especially when a company is at capacity. The way potential clients are treated can make all the difference in their decision to seek future work with you. I strongly encourage Gallagher Bros Construction to reflect on this aspect of their business. A little respect and professionalism can go a long way in building lasting relationships with customers.

Like everyone in our entire sub, we got a lot of hail. I found a shingle in the backyard, and contacted Gallagher. They very quickly got me in touch with their man Rex. He quickly came out, confirmed there was hail damage and we needed a new roof, and told me every step needed to work with insurance, and also possible roofing options. He helped deal with the adjuster, told us step by step how to handle everything, and is an absolute pro at communication.

Gallagher is very busy due to all the hail damage everywhere so it took a bit to get to us, but when they did the work was completed in a single day and was done professionally, including clean-up, no complaints. I absolutely recommend them to anyone else with roofing needs.

I had my gutters replaced a few weeks ago and the entire process - quote to contract to installation - was so easy and convenient. Super professional group, everything looks great. We hired Gallagher Bros Construction for the installation of a new roof, gutters and gutter guards. Their price was comparable with others that we received quotes from. They were able to do the installation within a few weeks of our deposit. The installers were professional and the finished product looks great! We were also impressed with the clean up process. We used Gallagher roofing to replace my parents’ roof, gutters, downspouts, and skylight. It was done well. When I had a question about the skylight, someone showed up the next day to answer. I would use them again.

From start to finish this company did an excellent job. I was continuously made aware when a chang was needed. The work was completed in a timely manner. They all listened to my ideas on anything and answered questions when I did not understand. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. When the time comes for more work, I would definitely make them my first call.

We were extremely pleased with our entire experience with Gallagher Construction for our roof and gutter guard replacement from a hail storm. Willie Wyninegar was our sales representative and handled all aspects of the project. Willie also helped up 7 years ago when we needed a new roof from a hail storm. We called him with questions during the past and he is always available and calls you back in a timely fashion.

My homeowner’s insurance mailed me a notice giving a couple months to replace my old roof or they would drop me. I contacted Gallagher Bros and they sent Willie out to look at my roof. He was very honest in his assessment and walked me through the process. I submitted a claim for hail damage and received about 75% of the cost from my insurance. Willie went through all the new roofing materials, gutters, and fascia. He was very patient with me and answered all my questions. He even expedited the process to ensure my roof was completed before my insurance dropped me. Gallagher Bros did a very professional job, my new roof and gutters look great. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Our insurance gave us a month notice that we had to replace our roof, so Rex at Gallagher Bros worked with us to submit a claim for hail damage and replaced our roof before we could be dropped from our policy! They were efficient and made the whole process very easy to follow for a first time homeowner.

I contracted Gallagher Brothers Construction company to install my new roof and gutters this past March 2024. I got 3 different bids. I was very satisfied and glad I chose them. Brett, the Field Estimator, was very easy to work with. He made sure to explain all that would take place. The roofers came on the day and time they said they would. They finished the roof in 1 day, and the gutters a 2nd day. They were respectful of my property and left it clean. I would definitely recommend them as a reputable company who is very responsive and delivered a quality product.

I don’t like giving bad reviews but I really struggled with this one. The project manager came out and reviewed our storm damaged to our gutters gave us a very good bid he was very personable. While I was in the hospital the crew came out I got no notice of the work being done, the crew left didn’t say they were done or nothing. The work they did was below substandard when it rained it looked like a waterfall from the end of the gutter. I called about it no one came out to look I was told that the wood they attached the new gutters to was rotten which didn’t make sense to me. Well during the recent storm the gutter is down. Now I have to go thru this whole thing again with the insurance company. Like it’s said if it’s too good to be true it probably is. I would not recommend this company.

Rex did a great job handling my roof claim and the roofers did excellent work. It's been a couple months since the work has been done and have had no issues at all. Highly recommend.

Can't say enough good things about Brett and the team at Gallagher Bros Construction. Our new roof and gutters turned out great. When they were finished for the day, they came to get the dumpster. At that time, they went around our property and checked with a magnet a second time to make sure no nails were missed. They were great!

Great experience. Brett explained everything very thoroughly and answered all my questions before any work started. The Gallagher Bros team had to come back out a couple times to get the pictures and details they needed for my insurance to approve (insurance did not initially approve). After all was said and done, we were approved for a whole new roof. Timely, professional work. There was one minor problem area, but they quickly fixed it. All I had to do was call and let them know, and they were calling me back immediately and sent someone out that day to fix it.

Bad experience for nearly a year.
I hate to do this again but, this seems to bet the only way to contact the owner. People deserve to know that I have paid this company over 20k, they did not properly follow up on the extensive repairs made to my house. They replaced my roof, windows, fascia, and siding. We had to request a repair on the siding, which was corrected, however the fascia repair was not as expected as it seems they covered old rotting wood with vinyl when the expectation was to replace the wood. The lights above the garage were cut from the electrical wiring and there are exposed wires above my garage door now. The roof above the porch is sagging. Nails and trash were left in my yard and driveway. We did most clean up. I never personally met anyone from this company, only subcontractors. I always made good on my word, paid on time, and removed my previous Google review at the request of the company when I was blown off by the first salesman, which I now regret giving them a second chance. The quality control on this work has been zero.

Against better judgement, I still requested my front stairs, back stairs, and railings be replaced, signed a contract, and agreed on materials and colors. This was over 6 months ago, and we have yet to receive follow up on that contract, and have not been contacted by this company in over 5 months. My husband and I do work full time, however we have made our selves available to meet with the various subcontractors who have worked on our home. I was hoping for the same respect from Gallagher and have been nothing but disappointed.

Update after reply from owner: a good faith attempt was made to resolve many issues following this review via email prior to this response. That seems to have fallen on deaf ears by Gallagher Brothers. As a result of a honest review, I only received this strange reply, a lot of excuses (people in hospital, people are busy family members, you didn't call us to ask where we were, and your roof was sagging before we fixed it, we did you a favor by cutting wires without proper resolution). I was met with a total unwillingness to resolve this and move forward. This is just another example of the poor communication skills exhibited in my interactions with this company. I warn potential customers to be very cautious and take good notes. See new photo, this company is trying to discredit my review, wires are not dead. They are live and were cut by an unlicensed siding sub contractor who was not replacing our fascia as requested, but was wrapping it in vinyl, at our home, unexpectedly on a busy week day evening in the dark. I never once personally met anyone representing Gallagher Bros, only subcontractors. Nobody thanked me for my business, followed up, or made good on their work to fix things when we did ask them to return.

I'm not just "blasting you" online, I wanted to resolve this. I agree, what's right is right, what's wrong is wrong.

Also, the owner informed me that they do no conduct business via email despite handling most of my prior communication and my contracts via email. If you have speech, hearing, or language barriers, I would warn against using this company. They will not help you unless you CALL and calling will be your job.

Thank you to Super Mike and his staff. I checked your company out on bbb website. Excellent review and responses. I remembered your mailers as well. I checked out your company website, very informative and the information was up to date. I contacted your company by phone. No menus to listen to but a real friendly and helpful lady who scheduled my appointment when it worked out for me. Super Mike arrived as promised and was awesome in assessing the problem and discovering the issues. He offered a temporary fix and recommended other fixes. I definitely recommend Gallagher BrosConstruction for your home roofing and other services they provide.
