In January our building's roof developed a leak during the melt of a previous snow. I contacted the Flat Roof Company. Owner Anthony Ely and an inspection crew came out when the snow was gone. After explaining to me the source of the leak and repairs needed, a repair date was set. Angelo and his repair crew came out. The crew was very knowledgeable and professional. The commercial building that I own needed significant roof repair/replacement. I called several different roofing companies in the metro area only one stood out as professional and competent. I judged that by a live person answering the phone when I called the business, who immediately suggested a visit to my building site to survey the building and make suggestions. The sales rep was on time, dressed in a clean manner while still prepared to get onto roof to assess scope of project. I received my quote in a timely manner and was quite surprised with the assessment and recommendations. The roofing estimator thoroughly surveyed our project. Instead of putting a band-aid on our leaking roof (by just replacing the roof), they determined the root cause of the leak and damage and included that in the overall scope and quote of the project. I approved the quote, was given a timeline, and to my pleasant surprise the work began the next day. It also continued each and every day thereafter until the entire project was complete. My husband and I recently purchased our first home under the impression that the roof was only 1-2 years old. It passed the home inspection, but cut to 1.5 months later, we had a leak in our kitchen. I didn't realize the extent of damage to my roof, after a heavy windstorm. Part of the flat roofing material had lifted up and folded back on itself. The rain that followed caused a section of the ceiling to cave in, drenching everything in the room.
I thought that the Flat Roof Company only handled commercial property. But after getting several other bids, I took a chance and gave them a call. Yes! They do residential flat roofs, too!
Anthony, the owner, answered the phone. He spent a generous amount of time collecting information that enabled him to make an accurate estimate of costs. Any questions I had, were answered in detail... materials, methods& scheduling. He also mentioned the idea of repair vs replacement...things I hadn't considered and giving me more affordable options to choose from.
I like to know exactly what to expect and later had a few more questions about adjoining property, parapet walls, flashing, fascia etc. His son Angelo, came over and took photos with a drone. We had a good understanding of the "before" and what was needed.
I went with the replacement.

My experience with Flat Roof Company has been fantastic. Anthony and his crew met all of my expectations in replacing the roof on my commercial building. Prior to replacing the roof, he made repairs to leaks and always honored his warranty in returning when leaks would persist.

We contracted with the Flat Roof Company (FRC) to repair our leaking commercial flat roof. They installed a completely new tapered system that changed the slope of the roof so that we no longer had standing water on the roof. We dealt with Anthony, and he was straight and direct and let me know of issues as they came up. We have a three-story building with a concrete decked roof on steel trusses.

While FRC was performing the initial demolition portion of the roof, they discovered some structural issues that prevented them from properly repairing the roof. Anthony informed me that this was a rare occurance but that they would not be able to fix the roof until all structural issues were corrected. He said replacing the roof with the structural issues would cause severe problems in the future. Anthony then promply refunded me our deposit and told us to call him when the repairs were made, and he would do all he could to work us in his schedule to get the roof rescheduled as soon as possible.
We had the structural repairs made, and Anthony rescheduled us within one week of my call. His guys worked Wednesday through Sunday evening to complete the roof and avoided forecasted storms in the next week.
The job was completed at the originally agreed-upon price, and we will have a dry building for many years to come. We give 5 Stars to Anthony and the Flat Roof Company.

Residential building - roof replacement

My wife and I found ourselves with a terrible roof leak and definitely wood rot underneath we did the usual call around and get people out to inspect the roof and give us prices, 2 or 3 companies at least and each time thinking do we really want to trust some of these people to actually do the job correctly on our most important purchase So I chose to call The Flat Roof Company here in St. Louis and I have to say my wife and I are so happy that we did They sent a couple of men to our house to do the initial inspection with a Drone by the way and getting all pictures and information that all of us needed and while doing his inspection he would listen to where I knew the bad spots were located and he would then fly to that spot and he gave us his thoughts on exactly what was going on and what we should expect and then created a bid that I thought was incredibly reasonable and also took the worry of hidden charges out of the picture I think it was the owner he told me this is what the situation is and here is the price nothing more than the agreed upon price he simply told me it'll be fixed 100% (What a relief) clearly this company and the employees are professional we hired them with zero reservations and when this crew showed up for work that day it was amazing to see just exactly what kind of team they are, extremely hot day, our roof in terrible shape, sun beating down on them and on an asphalt roof I have to say that crew and without missing a beat did everything they said they would do extremely quick and professionally and cleaned the debris up afterwards and not even a hint of old roofing material and wood left anywhere in our yard

Have had Anthony and his team work on a couple different commercial buildings for me. Excellent work, always responsive, fair quote.

We've used Flat Roof Co. on 2 of our commercial buildings now and the work absolutely shows the quality anyone would need on their buildings. Our first building was done a couple years ago with zero issues and, after the last round of summer storms, our new roof on our second building held up just the same. Anthony has always taken great care of us at Stock Autobody and Mech. and, after adding yet a third building to our company, he and his company are our only choice when the work will need to be done. We are very satisfied customers.

Called and made appointment for bid. Waited and waited, and guy never showed up. Gave them a second chance and made another appointment, no response. I believe that they only serve certain areas and are dishonest about revealing that fact when you ASK THEM SPECIFICALLY if yours is an area that they go to, and they respond yes. Instead they tell you yes, we provide service in your area, knowing full well that they do not, instead of being upfront and saying that yours is not is their service area, and basically WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY as I had to take off work to get the bid from the and not have them show up or not respond. This is unprofessional.

Once I found a few issues on my roof, The Flat Roof Company came out quickly and used a cool drone to inspect my roof. Within a couple hours, photos from the drone and three choices of services were in my email. Once I had chosen a service and gathered the funds, I called them and within a few days the roof was completed. I am very happy with the service and the workmanship. I've never had to replace a roof, and was nervous about spending the money, but they made it easy and I'm secure that the house is protected for years to come!

Work was initiated and completed in an organized manner and on schedule. Due to the nature of the architectural design of my building, some custom metal flashing needed to be utilized. The new flashing exceeded expectations!

These guys are efficient. I had a small job, ~600sqft garage roof that got pretty messed up in a storm. Once I called, I had a proposal the next day. Took the weekend to think it over, and signed the proposal on a Tuesday. The work was literally done within 24 hours following that. I love that they treated my project with high priority, even though they clearly have much bigger fish to fry.

I contacted them to do a bid for a new roof in Richmond Heights. They had a detailed bid ready for me within a week. I went with the TPO roof recovering.( This is a white membrane.) The roof was finished within a week. They have an awesome leak free warranty!! These guys go above and beyond! I couldn’t be happier!!!

Overall very happy with the work. Had a hard time scheduling an appointment and was a no show for the first appointment, but very friendly and informative once they inspected the roof. Reasonably priced options. They don't replace the coping or adhere them together unless you ask. The contract said they would replace broken coping, what's the point if your not going to put them back on correctly? Didn't make any sense. However, the owner came back the next day to look at it with me, explained why they don't do it because the roof material was stretched over the outer edge of the parapet and isn't a water issue, but looks horrible.Guys were out the next day to place and adhere the coping together and I wasn't charged much for the extra work. Great warranty. Nice guys, just need to be a little more clear and organized. I'd definitely recommend them, I've never had work done by an independent business owner that hasn't had a little hiccup here and there. Great thing, I was very happy with the finished work, they worked clean and fast, and professionalism in person was great.

I called Anthony and his team on Monday last week regarding a leak on a flat roof on a rental I own in South City (after I had other companies try to repair it). His team was out on Wednesday that same week and I received pictures of the existing roof and bids for different repair options that same Friday. I spoke with Anthony Friday and he walked me through the various options on the phone and explained to me what the best options were. No sale pitch, etc. I called this Monday and put down my deposit for the roof replacement and they came out today (the next day) and completed everything today as well! I called Flat Roof Company Saturday because my apartment building had sprung a couple leaks and was getting my tenant all wet, and very angry. Monday they were out assessing what needed to be done and Tuesday they put on a whole new flat roof. They were easy to work with, had a very fair price and their work was very high quality. Their website says they cover my area and do residential properties. When I call I was told they really only do commercial properties and that even though I live in their service area, it was pretty far away. What a joke. It was obvious they did not want to travel or work on my "small" job.

From the time I e-mailed my accepted quote to the Flat Roof Company to the time I had a brand new roof was approximately 23 hours. And this wasn't anywhere near an emergency! I've never experienced a company this responsive and proactive - it's a nice change of pace! Our new TPO roof is sturdy and leak-free. Anthony and his team, Jacob, and Deanna all did an amazing job; from customer service to communication, this was hands-down the easiest home improvement project we've ever had done. Thanks so much!!

UPDATE: I used Flat Roof again in November 2018 for my 2nd home and the job was completed to expectations. Quick and easy process and their team was just as helpful as last time. I can't say enough good things about them!

We had the Flat Roof Company come out and recover our roof in Oct. of 2015, and in Aug. of 2016 had some leaks. They came out and repaired where a bullet had caused the leaks AT NO CHARGE!! These guys are great!!!!!

I cannot say enough about this company, one of the best experiences I have had with a roofer, or any contractor for that matter. Communication was excellent, from the time they came out to quote through the installation. The owner is such a considerate person, and that attitude shines through in his employees. I went with the white TPO roof, which will last much longer than the other flat roof options. And I can already tell what a difference the white roof will make on keeping the upstairs cooler, although that is a just a side benefit of a TPO system. The best part is that there was not any odor that I could detect at all, and I am very sensitive to chemicals. Thanks so much! You all have restored my faith in the roofing trade! Oh, I almost forgot...just to let you know how honest they are, when I went to pay the invoice they pointed out that not as much material was required as originally anticipated, so they deducted this amount from the amount due.

The guy who went out to look at any roof repairs for a 1 year old roof said the roof was 12 years old and needs to be ripped off and redone. I was the one getting ripped off, any other contractors that looked at it said only a minor repair needs to be done. The owner was nice and apologized for the bad bid but his guy that looks at them either has no idea what he's doing or is fishing for big money jobs.

Just got a new white TPO roof installed by Anthony and the Flat Roof Company and am very happy with the experience. I met Anthony at my house and he did the initial inspection himself. He came to my workplace for me to sign the contract to make getting the work started even easier for me. His crew was hardworking and very polite. The job was completed quickly and they cleaned up after themselves and picked up all the debris before they left. One little item on the contract was missed and Anthony made sure the crew came back and finished everything on the punch list. I would highly recommend the Flat Roof Company to others and I will be calling them for other projects in the future!

Anthony met me at the property that I needed repaired and took me up on the roof to show me what needs to be completed and why it needed to be done. Other companies will just tell you once they have looked at it. Anthony was in constant communications with me as to when they would start the project, due to the weather, and let me know when they had completed the work. He even took me up on the roof to show me the finished product and explain even further what they had done. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them!!

I have worked with Anthony at the Flat Roof Company a few times in my 6 years of home ownership and I've been pleased with each experience.

Upon initial contact, if you call their phone number, you'll almost always get someone in person to take down your information. Then this person will give your request to the owner, who in turn, calls back, almost immediately.

Having a flat roof isn't extremely common, but in the city, you'll find many more. It's hard to know who to contact for any repairs or replacement, but this is a great company to use!

I first used them a few years ago after realizing we had some roof damage, and they repaired everything, no problem.

Then, we had an exceptionally bad winter with lots of ice and wind and we had so much roof damage, that insurance was going to help us pay for a roof replacement. Anthony was easy to work with and gave a very fair price. He gives out his cell so you can contact him whenever you need to and he's great about returning calls. They start work right away and always clean up afterwards.

I was able to contact him through email as well which is nice, so we always have written documentation of conversations had, invoices, etc.

I would absolutely call them again if I needed help in the future with my roof!
