Back in July, I had three men knock on my door and offer to look at my roof . They went up, told me they would have no problem getting my insurance company to cover the repairs to my roof. We made a claim, and the adjuster only offered to cover it due to one slop of my roof being undamaged. But with TN being a match state, these roofers were insistent on them being able to get the roof replaced in full. All they had to do was send off one shingle to be scanned. Well 2 months went by, and every time I called one, they would say "Oh the other guy took a shingle, let me call and see if he sent it" and then a week would go by before I heard anything, and called back and got the same response.

So eventually I would call and they wouldn't even pick up. So I just reached out to another company, the new contractor went up on my roof to check it out, and he comes down and tells me, there is damage on the "undamaged" slope, you just had to look for it. But so much time went by, my insurance company wanted to have a second claim and blamed it on high wind dates since the original claim two months prior, and have me pay my deductible twice. Thankfully my new contractor stepped up and got them to back down from that, and I am getting my new roof.

For all I know they may do a great job putting a new roof on, but from my experience their salesmen and staff are just terrible/lazy. If John Milligan or Jack Parrot knock on your door, just close it. Because they will only do the easy part, but they'll drag their feet for so long, that it may end up costing you.

I've never had to work with my insurance on anything more than light property damage in the past, so this process was fairly unfamiliar to me. Let me say, if you are in any way nervous about roof damage and insurance companies, I suggest you call American Roofing Company and ask for Madison! She simplified and explained the process in a way that made me confident when dealing with our insurance company. Because of her, getting our new roof was simple and stress free. She in no way pressured us into buying more roof than we needed and was always available to answer any questions, no matter how many times I asked the same thing (sorry Madison). Now we have a new, beautiful roof and the process was simple and painless, thanks to Madison and American Roofing Company. I would definitely suggest anyone call her. She will help!

We was in need of a new roof due to storm damage. Madison Bowen had left a card in our door for us to call for roof inspection. We called and she came out herself and took care of everything from inspecting the roof, dealing with insurance company, to bringing estimate out, to choice of shingles etc. Madison did a great job and the roof looks awesome. I would most definitely recommend American roofing and ask for Madison Bowen to handle all your needs.

I have nothing but great things to say about American Roofing Company. Doug dealt with the insurance company for me and got them to cover most of the cost. He and Madison were also really helpful with how inexperienced I was with home repairs (then even quoted less than what the insurance company adjuster said was the going rate). They were also understanding of my crazy work schedule including my need to always text instead of call. Even in the middle of the night! (Sorry!) Then on the day of install the crew was punctual, fast, respectful, and my new roof looks awesome. Nash followed up and double checked everything, including the yard and driveway for any nails that were missed. I appreciate them thoroughly checking with a magnet to make sure my dogs feet and my tires are safe. I doubt I will need a new roof anytime in the foreseeable future, but if I did I would definitely use them again.

We have allstate insurance for the house and had a windstorm come through last June. Afterwards a rep stopped by and did an inspection and said we should make a claim with insurance for it. Allstate is a company that does everything in its power to pay for as little as possible. After they had agreed to only pay to replace some shingles American Roofing Co set us up with a public adjustor and they went round and round about what needed done. That service they provide is invaluable. When it had all finally settled, we got half of the roof paid for and we were on for the rest of it. St that point we met with Doug and set up our selection for the new roof and then set the date with Nash. At this time they have just finished the roof and couldn't be happier with the service. These guys are great and they do everything in their power to be certain the customer is happy. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

From Doug, who was our initial contact, to all of the other employees that we worked with on this project all were knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful. We are very pleased with the job that was done and how this company does their business.

I was skeptical of using a company that does free estimates because I feel they will make up for that by charging you for something that is unnecessary in the event they find something wrong. I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Robert Terry came out to inspect my roof. He quickly put my mind at ease and made me feel much more comfortable.

A natural climber, he traversed our steep roof as if he was Japanese macaque in the Shimokita Peninsula. As I was enthralled by the fluidity of his movements, he finished the inspection in what seemed to be a matter of minutes. I would later learn that it was in fact longer than just a few minutes but in that moment I could’ve believed anything.

I would highly recommend, not only this company, but Mr. Terry himself. It would be a pleasure to anyone to deal with such a gentleman; however, the real magic begins when he dons that harness, sets foot on your roof, and proceeds to bend time itself as he inspects your roof.

American Roofing took ownership of our project when our insurance agent abandoned us.without our technical representative Austin we would have been required to pay $22,000+ for our wind damaged roof.
We basically only paid the deductible + minor costs thanks to Austin representing our case via a Public Adjuster.
With the recent.Nashville tornados our job as delayed but Austin temporary repaired our roof three times at no charge.
The roofers were amazing. They arrived at dawn and stayed until dark. Our roof was very difficult but it is beautiful and done with top quality products.
I am an engineer and very detail oriented and I am very pleased. A funny sidebar.. we had to practically beg them to send the final invoice and obtain the check which was written.

I noticed a shingle fell off overnight and contacted my State Farm agent this morning for roofing company recommendations. Bart Witsman with American Roofing Co. was on the list. I gave him a call, and he was very responsive. He and a team member were at my house the same day and did a thorough roof inspection. Bart informed me that the problem area was due to improper installation and suggested that I call the builder. When I asked about billing me for the service call, he said it was no charge. I couldn't believe it! Believe me, if/when I need repairs done or a new roof, I'll be giving these guys a call!! Thanks Bart!

Over the last few months we probably had a dozen guys stop by, talking about our roof damage we had in July. We didn’t feel like we wanted to go with any of those companies, but knew we really did need a new roof. The Roof is what protects your biggest investment, right?? So it was a little worrisome trying to decide who we wanted to use, until Conner Sullivan, from American Roofing dropped by the house. He took a ton of pictures and showed us exactly what the problems were on the roof along with water damage inside. Conner helped me make a claim with the insurance company and spoke with the adjuster for us. (Some other companies said we won’t even have to pay a deductible, sounded a little shady, if they are going to cheat the insurance companies how can I trust them)
Along this whole process Conner has been available to answer all of our questions, even gave us his cell number. Even let us choose when we wanted the new roof installed, since we had so much going on already helped us not feel rushed. October 29th super exciting we are getting a new roof, can’t wait!!!! I will tell everyone about how awesome Conner is, great customer service!

Highly recommend American roofing. Very professional and to the point. Luke Herrod made the entire claims process so easy and the work done was great!

As soon as the deal was signed, I didn’t hear another word from Luke to keep us in the loop of the process. Luke said the job would be started the following week because we had a leak in the roof.......try almost a month. Luke said they’d put a tarp over the portion of the roof that was leaking......couldn’t get that accomplished either. 2 crews had started the job and walked off, but no one ever called us to give us an update of what was happening. We always had to reach out to get any update. Whenever we did, Luke wouldn’t call us he’d just text us back.

I called and talked to the manager who stated clearly that he’d work with me going forward and said he’d send us a $100 gift card “to take my wife out to a nice dinner” Instead he took $100 off the cost but never followed up again after our first conversation to see if we were satisfied.

Even after the roof was done we weren’t told where to send the final check. Again, Luke just text us our bill and where to send it.

I’m a Director of Sales and this process certainly made us feel like a number and not a customer.
