My roofing contractor retired his company a few years ago. I have my roof inspected every year and any maintainence performed. I have been using Alvaado Roofing for several years now and I am very pleased with their response time, instpection, and necessary repair work. Great company to work with. My roof is 22 years old and will probably need to be replaced in a few years but Alvarado says for now it is in great shape. No pressure just good service.

Alvarado Roofing did an amazing job on my home! My roof needed to be replaced after a hail storm ruined it. They came out and completed the job in one day. Their crew took care of my home and my yard as they removed and then replaced the roof - I appreciate the effort they put into cleaning everything up at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend Alvarado Roofing to anyone who needs to repair or replace their roof.

We used Alvarado Roofing to replace a rotted, leaking foam roof with new TPO. Best decision we could have made! We’ve had a couple of deluges over the past few weeks, with not a leak to be found anywhere. Very professional outfit in every regard. The foreman Corey performed a real feat of roofing magic to make all the pieces fit together - literally. We paid top dollar, but we got top quality. Highly recommended.

After a hail storm I had leaks in multiple rooms. I contacted Alvarado roofing because I had had a previous good experience with them. Tristan examined roof and indicated I needed a complete new roof. They prepared an easily understood estimate which was quickly approved by insurance. On the scheduled day a large crew headed by Cody arrived. 4 days to remove two roofs and put on a new TPO roof with a taper system. Site well cleaned at jobs end. Good photo documentation also assisted in quick insurance reimbursement. Team was very pleasant to work with.

Had TPO done on flat portion of roof covering my back patio on Friday. They left without even letting us know that they damaged the under part. Left marks on patio and patio rug. Totally inept, incompetent, unprofessional. Want it repaired and an additional discount off the already veteran discount that was applied.

After a severe hail storm on 2017 my pitched roof was damaged beyond repair and needing a full replacement. A few days later Alvarado Roofing Inc. did a great job installing a new roof and sealing the four existing skylights. Their work was fast, clean and dealing with the company was pleasant and very professional.
One year later one of the skylights leaked into the sun room. This was repaired quickly. Six years later the same skylight leaked again. Tristan Raver came to inspect the whole roof and found where the leak was.
The following week a crew showed up early morning to fix the leaking skylight. Not only did they fix that one skylight but reworked the other three skylights and vents. When they were done a gentleman told me everything they did, shook my hand and they were gone. NO CHARGE.
Since Alvarado replaced my roof on 2017 I have been recommending them to my neighbors and friends because of their honor, quality of work and their fair prices.

We had this contractor provide maintenance service on our brand new roof and home in April 2023. Yesterday, our roof began leaking. Contract says no warranty of any kind on leaks that happen after service is done. Called to schedule appt for emergency service, and no one is available to help within the week. Called another contractor and they came same day. They found major cracks on parapets, poor caulking and sealant work done all around. This company may have had a good name but I don’t see it on their work.

Update… thank you for your response. The roof has stopped leaking and your company didnt even fix the window which you claim to be the issue, but rather the issue I had to express to three of your employees and my contractor had to physically show your manager for it to even be acknowledged. One canale was sloped backwards causing the roof to pool with water and leak through my home. I appreciate you emphasizing my point of your company’s lack of accountability. Enraged is a little harsh. Frustrated after being laughed at by your staff and talked over as they tried to hide their mistakes, yes, absolutely I was. Cannot recommend this business and advise others to seek out other options first as their warranty does not cover interior damage and Im at a loss of how you find out your roof is leaking unless something happens to the inside of your home.

Roof was repaired in May of this year. Ceiling started to leak inside. Then floor started peeling up in room above spot shown in picture. Called Alvarado. They couldnt come out for a few weeks so I contacted a contractor friend. He said it was the canalies. I relayed that to three people at Alvarado before anyone took the time to give honest attention to finding out the real issue, but had to request to speak with the owner as after their first visit to home they did not intend to fix the issue that was actually wrong. In the meantime my home is being damaged sufficiently. When I spoke with the manager, whom I was under the impression was the owner, he stated these things happen, roofs need to be maintained, like oil changes. The damage was caused in less than six months after their original repairs. With the disrespect Ive been shown by Alvarado Roofing I am now afraid to have them work on my roof and am going to have to come out of pocket thousands of dollars to fix interior damage their warranty does not cover. Poor customer service. No accountability. And the manager is aggressive in an obvious attempt to deny the job was not done right the first time. Hoping I can get in touch with the owner but the office wont even hand out his email address. Feel helpless working with this company and as a small business owner myself believe its so unfortunate to know a small business would treat their customers in such a manner.

They showed up when they said they would. EVERY time! Who does that these days. They were super efficient and courteous! Workmanship is very clean. They cleaned up all the remnants. Great looking roof and all is dry inside now!!

From the initial call to inspection and estimate to the roof repair itself, everything was exceptional. The people at this company actually answer your call, respond immediately, and keep you up to date. Plus their work is exceptionally good. I am still impressed. Thank you Alvarado.

We purchased a home that needed the tiles removed & reinstalled after the underlayment was replaced. We scheduled with Alvarado and everything took place as was quoted & they even finished a day ahead of schedule. To our surprise the entire process was done at Alvarado’s quoted price without any financial surprises. A great job was done, we would highly recommend Alvarado Roofing.

Alvarado Roofing has completed two repairs on our roof. AR was referred by a contractor friend and we have been very pleased with their work.

My roof was under warranty from Alvarado during its lifespan and was maintained by them. Never had any issues until I used them to replace it.
I had recently replaced the antiquated wall heaters and swamp coolers with HVAC mini-splits. I inquired about adding additional insulation between the roof rafters and was informed they had an “exclusive” relationship with Miller Insulation to perform that function.
Needless to say there is no relationship between the two. I ended up with an open roof deck, idle Alvarado crew on my front lawn and NO ONE from Millers!
A project manager from Alvarado called to inform me that MILLER was a no show.
This entire project was a disaster.
I paid Alvarado, perhaps an extra $4K-6K for the roof opening, additional deck work and sealing of abandoned perforations on my roof.
Within a week I experienced leaks in my garage. To add insult to injury, a new leak appeared in my kitchen after a minor sleet & rain event in December 2023, along with the ever lingering garage leak issues. The kitchen leak problem was addressed relatively soon but it took Alvarado Roofing until August of 2024 to finally resolve the chronic dripping in my garage after every rain event!
STAY AWAY FROM ALVARADO ROOFING & MILLER INSuLATION.
Although my “new” Alvarado roof will remain under warranty for the coming years, as God is my witness, I WILL NOT be calling them for repairs! DAMAGE DONE.

I have included photos & the following comments regarding Alvarado’s recent response to my review.
Insulation issue: I was stunned by Alvarado’s response to blame the dead guy! If there was any concern of proceeding with the project because of a change in personnel, as a professional courtesy, why wasn’t I informed by Alvarado? They knew who was assigned the Miller end of the project. For Alvarado to absolve themselves from any responsibility of this coordinated effort is nonsense and totally inexcusable.
I stand by my “over-payment” assessment for the additional labor & materials of this fiasco.
I added a photo timeline of what I experienced for over a year dealing with Alvarado Roofing, including one from 12/14/2023 of the kitchen leak Alvarado insists I am confused about. They sent crews out between each timeframe to address the issues to no avail.
As far as not having any additional roof issues, they are clueless. It took Alvarado roofing over a year to correct the same chronic issues which began in August 2023.
I procured another roofer in September 2024 to inspect, maintain and service my roof for the coming years. With Alvarado’s track record, I’d rather pay a pro than use Alvarado Roofing for any foreseeable warranty covered issues.
Incompetent, unprofessional and irresponsible company, where the customer’s always wrong or confused.
Not a reliable or professional business entity.

I called Alvarado Roofing to give me an assessment of my roof after I had another roofer tell me I had “significant” hail damage. Their assessment was honest and detailed. They even provided the assessment in writing. Thank you!

I called Alvarado Roofing because they replaced my neighbor's roof and it looked very nice. I was having my lower roof replaced by a different company, and that company made some unexpected changes to my roof configuration. I wanted an independent source to confirm these changes were OK per building code. They called me back within a few hours and answered all my dumb questions, in a friendly and professional manner, and gave me advice on a few things to check. It was an amazing experience, and I'd call them again in a heartbeat to replace my upper roof.

Great company, highly recommend! David came out and was clearly very knowledgeable about roofs, professional, and nice. They were able to move our job up due to a cancellation which we so appreciated as we were incurring water damage inside the house as a result of a bad roof. His office staff was very responsive and accommodating. After our roof was replaced it was evident how good of a job they did. It comes with a great labor and material warranty that many other companies don’t provide. If you’re in need of a new roof, this is the company to do it!

I had wind damage to my pitched and flat area roof the insurance company was in my view not playing nicely and would not cover all my repairs which put me in a huge financial bind. I only look for estimates from local companies that have been in business a long time so they can support the warranty if needed. I went with shingles and TPO. David did an excellent job visiting with the insurance company on my behalf and continued to AFTER the job was done and paid for to get me my fair settlement. Alvarado was my 2nd opinion. They did cost slightly more but you do get what you pay for! Communication was timely, accurate and also in written form on what was agreed and expected to be done. They delivered as written and discussed. This is the 3rd time I have used them.

Billy, Chelsea and Cody were great! Had my new roof installed and I think my yard was cleaner when they left! From the estimate to the job being completed it was one of the best experiences I've had. All my questions were answered and if anything came up it was communicated with me immediately. If you're considering a new roof or repairing the one you've got Alvarado is where it's at!

Working with Alvarado Roofing has been the contractor experience a home owner dreams about and hopes for. All the employees were very professional, showed up and did what they said they would do. Cody, the foreman was very patient with my numerous questions. And since this job was performed during COVID times, the employees were mindful of infection control procedures.Chris, the estimator and initial contact was very helpful and very responsive to emails or phone calls. All in all, we would highly recommend Alvarado but it is likely that we won't be working with them for a long time since they did an excellent job installing a new roof.

Excellent response, successfully negotiated with insurance on my behalf, work done within my hours on time each day and completed slightly ahead of schedule. Workers very pleasant and property very clean. Disgusting smell with bitumen is inescapable.

From the initial appointment for the estimate until the job was completed, we were 100% satisfied with the new TPO roof installed by Alvarado Roofing. Excellent communication and follow up. Staff is very courteous. Jobsite was clean. They even brought their own generator and porta potty. An important factor for us was that they included stucco repair of the parapets on our flat roof so we didn't have to get a separate stucco contractor. We highly recommend this company.

They are quite authoritarian. They demand that I should wait for their technician to transfer warranty of roof. They charge us $500 dollars for the transfer. It is better for us to use home warranty.

Alvarado charges us $150 dollars for the transfer, but not $500 dollars. Sorry for the error.

Our roof was damaged by a hail storm and we reached out to several roofing contractors around town. Alvarado responded promptly to our request for a bid. Chris sat down with us, explained our options, gave us competitive cost estimates, and helped us negotiate the insurance claim process. Alvarado was head and shoulders above the other roofers we met with. The communication was patient, honest, and straight-forward. Chelsea helped us schedule a replacement time. Each time we called, she was professional and reassuring. The crew finished the job this week replacing our old tar and gravel roof with a new TPO roof and it looks great. The crew did a terrific job of installing the roof including cleaning up the job site every afternoon as they left. We could not be happier with the entire process. Alvarado is the best!!!

We recently had our roof redone by Alvarado Roofing and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience from the very beginning to the very end of the process. From the beginning Chris was a dream to work with. He was extremely patient answering all of my many questions promptly and honestly. Scheduling was also very simple working with Chelsea. She was also very responsive and flexible each time I contacted her. The best part of the project was when the crew showed up every day promptly when they stated they would be there and worked diligently in the heat every single day until the job was complete. They would let us know when they arrived each day and they would let us know when they were leaving after cleaning up every little thing. You could never tell that they had been there each day and that was wonderful. The best part of the entire project was the beautiful roof that we now have. I contacted Billy at Alvarado roofing for recommendations for a new roof. Within hours after contacting the office we were on the schedule, and within a few days we had everything we needed. I let him know we were having some slight leakage from one skylight. Billy said "no problem", got some silicone from his truck and did a temporary fix on the problem so we were good for the winter until the roof work could be done this summer. This happened before we hired Alvarado Roofing to do the job! This small act of kindness, his cheerful demeanor, and professionalism are the reasons we hired Alvarado Roofing. Billy took the time to explain to me, a new homeowner the details, he coordinated with our insurance company, and was there for us every step of the way from the initial meeting to the roof completion. Chelsea in the office is prompt with email and telephone replies, they were patient with the final payment from our insurance company, and the roof and new skylights look fantastic. We started with one figure for the cost to replace, Alvarado roofing delivered ahead of schedule and not a dime over projected cost. We did our homework to find the best in Albuquerque, Alvarado Roofing did not disappoint.

Alvarado Roofing came out yesterday and replaced my hail damaged roof. I have never had a roof replaced before and they have been exceptionally professional and made the process easy and as painless as replacing a roof can be.

The crew that came out to my house yesterday was amazing. It was truly a sight to behold. They showed up promptly at 6:30 am and got right to work. It was an amazing system. They had it all done by about 3:30 pm, and I think they even left my house cleaner than it was when they showed up.

As this is my first re-roof, I did not have many expectations. However, they have exceeded them all, and set the bar even higher for what services a company should provide.

Alvarado replaced our roof after hail damage. They showed exemplary professionalism from the get go. When they came out to do the estimate, the guy that came patched our roof where it was leaking so we wouldn't have any more damage. This was going above and beyond in my opinion, as we hadn't even signed a contract at this point. Alvarado did great job and we were very satisfied customers.

I called Alvarado Roofing for an estimate and they were the only company that came out *and* climbed up on the roof to measure and really look at my roof to see what they were getting into. They removed all the layers of hail damaged roofing as well as our flat roof over our patio and replaced it with hail resistant shingles and some really awesome roofing for over the patio. They also decked over where the swamp cooler was (had A/C installed later). They did all of this in one day! They kept in touch and followed up throughout and after the job. We highly recommend!

Alvarado Roofing did a full roof on my home and casita. The experience was professional and high quality from beginning to end. The Administrative team was friendly and prompt. The estimator came out with in a day and found that I had hail damage and need a roof replacement. Estimate was clear and easy to read. I was even offered help to navigate the insurance process! The crew that worked on my house arrived promptly and was very professional. It was a big job as they had to remove layers, they worked diligently and finished the job on time. My yard was left clean, you could not tell they had been here at all! Invoicing and payment were easy and to thank me for my business Alvarado gave me a Starbucks card and an umbrella. This is a serve-oriented company and I highly recommend them. My roof looks great!

Chris, Chelsea, and Jonny at Alvarado made our experience very pleasant. We started this process on what seems almost a year ago and had Chris come out to provide a quote. We live in the East Mountains, so our house is a tad unique. We originally wanted a metal roof, but Chris found that it would require us to remove large amounts of our siding (which would be difficult and expensive) and that he was not comfortable with that work. We got a few other opinions from multiple contractors and were not satisfied with their suggestions of gluing flashing as an alternative or with the costs of removing siding to install the flashing properly. I really respect that Chris was honest and upfront about metal being a problem especially since it is a more expensive material and would have resulted in a higher bill. We decided we wanted to work with an honest company and so we moved forward with Alvarado and decided on shingle. Chris probably answered 100 questions for us and was patient with every one of them. Alvarado was not the most affordable or most expensive option, but they were by far the most professional and trusting which is worth the extra cost. (You get what you pay for).

The roofers were impressive and worked 2 days straight on a replacement which was not a small task as the pitch of our roof is extremely high. After the work was done we noticed some slight damage to our deck, siding, and window screens. This was not a shock to us since construction is messy. I reached out to Chris about the clean-up and he assured me everything would be addressed. Johnny came out after the city inspection and took care of every single detail and it took him a long time! He was so professional and again assured us that we picked the right company to work with. Thank you Johnny!

Chelsea was also very helpful. She works in the office and answered a ton of questions for me as well as noted that the roofers could take away the eyesore of our unused satellite. She also issued our warranty quickly and sent our final bill and receipt quickly.

Getting a new roof is expensive and a huge investment. I highly recommend Alvarado because they are honest, responsive, and do good work. We have recommended Alvarado to our friends and family because of the seamless experience. Thank you Alvarado for making such an expensive and scary investment a good experience!

We contacted Alvarado about a partial roof replacement, they provided a reasonably-priced and detailed quote. Initial estimate for their availability was almost 6 months out. They contacted us a couple of weeks later and said they could perform the work within a month. We indicated to them via phone that we would be able to pay approximately half the repair cost up front, but that it would take several months for us to pay the balance. After that conversation, they called a few days later to say that they were available to perform the roof replacement in one week. We were pleased, and indicated once again that we had money on hand to cover half the cost, with the remainder to be paid in full in about 5 months. David at Alvarado told me (and I quote), "We'll work with you on that." I signed the estimate and they performed the work, which required an inspection from the city. The city inspector came and went, and I heard no indication that the work performed was not up to code. I emailed David to thank him and his crew for the work done in an excellent and timely manner, and to remind him of our verbal agreement for half now, half by 8/31/19. I received an email the next day in response saying that we had only 84 days to pay the balance in full, or incur a "late fee" in excess of $1000 (on an invoice totaling under $6000) and a lien on my home "to protect their interests". David breached his verbal contract to "work with us" on the balance of the invoice to threaten us with additional fees and legal action, fully aware of the conditions we had discussed with him for repayment before work began. The invoice for the work contained only information about interest accrual on any outstanding balance, and aside from the emails sent by David we have neither seen nor signed any document that outlines the terms David insisted upon after the work was done. This behavior is utterly unprofessional, and I will never make the mistake of hiring a contractor through a verbal agreement again.

Alvarado Roofing quoted us a very reasonable price for the very old roof we needed to have replaced. They were quick and efficient getting the job done, and there were no overruns on cost. The clean up job was good. More than six months since the work was done and we're thrilled to with the work. Thanks, Alvarado Roofing!

Alvarado Roofing was professional with their personnel. They came, knocked on my door to tell me they were there and got the job done quickly. They replaced my entire roof. They cleaned up after themselves, which was nice as that hasn't happened in the past. My neighbors had their roof replaced and the people weren't wearing the proper protective equipment where as Alvarado Roofing personnel were. After a strong storm, they came to check out the roof tile that was in my yard a couple days after I called to report it, inspected my entire roof, and realized it was just a left over scrap. I would highly recommend them as a roofing company and I'd use them again.

Our 10-year old gravel roof never leaked, ever! We called Alvarado to get an estimate because we had snow blowing in through our skylights during high winds, but never had any roof leaks or damage. In order to get the entire roof upgraded at once, we hired Alvarado to install a new expensive TPO roof including skylight replacement and stucco patching on the parapet walls. Immediately after Alvarado installed the new roof, it began leaking in multiple places every time it rained hard. Alvarado did a good job on the installation work, but installed the TPO without connecting it into the water barriers. With our original roof, water leaking through stucco cracks in the parapet walls flowed onto the roof and down the gutters. After Alvarado scraped off the original roof, any stucco leaks flowed under the TPO into the house. Alvarado came out many times and caulked small cracks in the stucco with no luck. After trying this myself for two years, I got other roofers to look at the problem. All agreed that the only way to fix the leaking is to add a second water barrier on the parapet walls that drains on top of the TPO. Recently, we had another roofer install new stucco with a waterproof base coat over all of the work that Alvarado did. This finally fixed our leaking, no thanks to Alvarado who denies any responsibility.
BE FOREWARNED! Use Alvarado at your own risk! Don’t repeat our mistake and trust them as experts. Do your homework and read the TPO installation procedures which describe that the TPO membrane must be connected into water barriers on parapet walls.

Did a nice job. Showed up when they were supposed to. Only complaint (but a big one), the clean up was terrible. It took me 8 hours to clean the garage, driveway and large back patio. The garage was a nightmare because they didn’t tarp or sheet it off (not a finished ceiling in the garage so all the debris dumped into the garage). I had two motorcycles, tools, etc in there and they were trashed. Their efforts to clean it after I complained was less then half hearted.

Update - downgraded 1 star due to company response! Nice response. “Not our fault”... instead, why not take responsibility for making a mistake! We notified roofing crew within an hour of starting the job.....and really they couldn’t tell? How about, we are sorry, we should have cleaned it up? Or, we should have looked before we started? Or something else other than casting blame for not inspecting the job site thoroughly and not taking responsibility? BTW, their estimate/contract does state that they have a process for garages without a finished ceiling. But, hey, it’s the customers fault!Hmmm.....

My business partner and I have just completed the re-roofing (with Alvarado Roofing) and replacement of twelve HVAC units (with HVAC company) on a commercial building in Albuquerque.  Because of the size of this endeavor and issues regarding the schedule of the surgical center housed in the building, the planning for the project required several months of co-ordination between tenant, roofing company, and HVAC contractor.  Both the Alvarado Roofing Company and HVAC contractor came highly recommended and each made adjustments for schedule changes a number of times. When finally initiated, the project proceeded smoothly until a crucial point.  Mid job, there was a heavy rainstorm which resulted in significant water intrusion into the building, because there were areas where the flashing around the HVAC curbs was left unsealed.  At this point, neither Alvarado Roofing nor the HVAC contractor, would assume responsibility for their failure to properly co-ordinate in this matter.  In the end, we got a job of lesser quality and we ended up paying for their mistakes. We caution owners of similar projects to be absolutely certain that there is a mutual agreement on the specifications of the job and that they will take full responsibility for their work.

Alvarado put a new roof on my house and replaced 3 skylights. The skylights leak water when it rains and I have had them out to my house to fix the issue about 10 different times. After 10 tries to fix the problem, the skylights still leak water. If you need skylights, I would avoid Alvarado.

Highly recommend Alvarado Roofing. We had the original shingle roof, which was overall intact but weathered. We elected to go with a metal roof, inquiring if the metal panels can be installed over existing shingles. David K. the estimator, came out promptly, with a call stating he was in route, and had a positive, can do , git er dun attitude. We also requested roofing over evap. cooler and removal / deck and roof over the old skylites. After his roof inspection and assessments, he stated that it was not a problem, and existing shingles also add a layer of protection with the underlayment. The estimates came in fair and reasonable, even factoring in a military discount. Chelsea, the office manager, was very prompt and polite with email and phone correspondence for this job. The crew doing the work did a great job, and the foreman kept it a well- orchestrated machine, with a little Mariachi music thrown in….nice. Upon completion, the crew policed up everything, and left all areas clean. After my walk-around assessment of the job, I identified a couple of minor issues. I contacted David K. He promptly came out to take a look and then promptly scheduled the foreman and partial crew to make the corrections. One other aspect of the job I enquired about was the materials. My thought was, the company obviously orders enough material for the job that the customer pays for, but may have some extra. When the crew came back out to correct those minor issues, they brought extra screws, sealant and paint, with extra panels available at the yard if needed. Nice touch there. So the roof is probably the most important part of the home as it protects all other parts. This is a huge investment for a homeowner, but a necessity as well, and probably one of the biggest concerns for the homeowner is leaks, Ironically, but a blessing in disguise, was the nice / dry weather for the guys on the roof doin all the hard work. Obviously, from the homeowners point of view, water leaks are a big concern. Ironically, after the new roof was up we entered into another New Mexico record breaking dry spell. This company did such a great job, and looks so solid and beautiful, I was ready to draft up a good review, however I had this tiny bit of apprehension due to no rain. We said to ourselves, ya know, with such a great warranty this company provides, and their ability to address customers’ concerns, their strong work ethic, and their strive to promote a good reputation, I’m sure they would address any leak what so ever. Mother nature finally came thru with a deluge of rain and enough hail to emulate a winter snow storm in May. Not a single bit of moisture breached this roof. This positively confirmed our assumptions and put to bed our slight apprehension. It is refreshing to work with a good company like Alvarado, and the peace of mind of knowing they will back up their work. Thanks to all.

We choose Alvarado because they had the best price. Their estimate people were extremely helpful and friendly - we had several companies come out to give us an estimate and a lot of them blew a lot of smoke offering ridiculous things we didn't even need. They gave us an idea of incidentals we might incur as they ripped the old roof off, and thankfully they didn't run into any additional problems. They finished earlier then expected which was a pleasant surprise as we drove home hoping we could go inside. Our roof is beautiful and they fixed a lot of shotty work that had been done by previous owners. We haven't had any problems with our roof so far. We are very pleased and would recommend to anyone looking to get major work done on their roof.

We just recently had our roof replaced by Alvarado Roofing. Their staff showed up on time like they promised. The work was done in one day as promised. So far no issues with the actual shingles. A turbine that we asked to be placed on our roof was placed on the wrong end of the house but they fixed it within 2 days which I was very happy about. Everything looks great on our end and they cleaned up after themselves after they worked which was wonderful thank you alvarado Roofing .

We had a good experience with Alvarado Roofing, Inc. I had heard many great things about them. They communicated very well, and answered all of my questions. I did have a few holes in my ceiling from the roof nails, but they came out immediately and patched them up.

From start to finish, this company was fantastic! David, our estimator/sales rep was prompt and professional at our initial meeting and explained our options very well. We were working with our insurance company, off a re-roof hail damage claim, and he was always quick to respond to our emailed questions. The crew was awesome....very efficient and polite. I wish we would have been home more to chat with them, as they were really nice guys. They did a terrific job on our roof, even finishing a little early. The cleanup job was so good that you couldn’t tell they’d ever been there. Chelsea, the office manager was wonderful as well, providing a “what to expect” list before our project day, providing and completing documentation for our insurance company and helping us with the insurance claim check (which we forgot to sign). We did have to wait a little for the re-roof, as the company seems to be very busy. But as ours wasn’t an emergency, they were well worth it and we would definitely choose them again. We are very happy with their work and highly recommend them!

Dave and the team at Alvarado did a great job...from the estimate to completion. We had to wait a couple months due to their schedule, but it was worth it. Showed up on time, worked neatly, cleaned up, followed up afterward. Ran into some unexpected rotten wood, yet it did not slow them down. All the workers were respectful and courteous. Very professional company. Wasn't the cheapest, but definitely worth what we paid. They arranged for an HVAC company, which was also very professional and reliable. Highly recommend Alvarado Roofing.

It went extremely well. Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally professional and customer oriented. The entire crew worked as if they were working on their own homes, and went out of their way to ensure that they lived up to their company's excellent reputation.

Truly 5 star. I got four estimates for total roof shingle replacement. I wasn't just looking at price... I was looking for professionalism and a sense of trust. I went with Alvarado and couldn't be more pleased. From start to finish, everything was done well and in a timely manner. Communication was superb. To top it off- the bid was lower than other 3 and no corners were cut. Very happy with my decision to go with Alvarado!

Alvarado Roofing replaced our roof in March ang the job was completed quickly. The employees were professional and courteous and there was not one piece of debris left behind for us to clean up! Great Job!

While selling my house Alvarado Roofing came out to inspect. They claimed it had hail damage and gave an $8000 estimate. 4 other inspectors came out including the insurance adjuster. All of the other 4 inspectors all said that the roof was in great condition with no signs of hail damage. Alvarado Roofing is dishonest and tried to scam me into buying a whole new roof that I did not need.

Most professional company we've worked with. Arrived on time, the 6 man crew were efficient and a joy to watch work. They were respectful of our property, cleaned everything up and finished before schedule. High quality office staff, labor and product. We highly recommend them.

I have to disagree with many of the negative responses on this site. Alvarado Roofing did an amazing job on my flat roof. They arrived at my home with a huge crew, completely stripped my roof at my request because I was concerned about damage to the roof due to several leaks and made repairs to the the structure. They had no less than 10 workers stripping the roof, while the others worked on the parapets and new base, within 2 hours the roof was ready for the new tar and gravel and by the end of the day the whole roof was done. The foreman and workers were very respectful, they covered everything around the home including the pool so no loose gravel would end up in the pool and when they left everything was clean and all material gone. I would highly recommend Alvarado. The reason for this late post is I never commented on the original job but was on the site to setup an appointment for my son's home as I intend to use them again for his project.

This star rating for Alvarado doesn't do this company justice. You won't find a nicer, more respectful group of people to work with. From the scheduler, estimates, roofing team. They are super efficient, clean up through the entire process. Just all together the best. I will recommend them and have recommended them to everyone I know. Don't make a huge mistake and pick another company you'll be kicking yourself . I never fill out surveys. They impressed me so much. I just had to. Alvarado I will never use anyone else you and your team impressed me beyond words. Thank you again!

Alvarado Roofing was prompt, professional, honest and efficient. I sent them an email and I received an immediate response. We thought we were going to have to totally replace our roof. When Alvarado Roofing came out to do the quote, they said we had a few more years on our roof and we only need to do some resealing.

This company was reasonable and professional. We have used them a couple times. They assessed leaks we were having over our garage and fixed them! We then had another leak and I so appreciated their honesty. The gentlemen told me he didn't want to waste our money blindly repairing something he couldn't guarantee would fix the leak. We had them replace that portion of the roof. The guys that came out were all very respectful and got the job done. They did an amazing job cleaning up after themselves. 5 stars!

I have used Alvarado Roofing for over 20 years for various roof repairs on several homes, including a complete re-roof on a flat roof and never had any issues.
Prompt service as promised after the agreed price and time for the job.

After waiting 3 months for another roofer to provide repairs to my leaking roof which they had installed 9 years ago, I gave up and called Alvarado Roofing to provide an estimate. I found Alvarado Roofing on Angie's List where they have an excellent rating. Alvarado provided their estimate in a timely manner and explained the several issues they found with my home's membrane type flat roof. When comparing theirs to the estimate which the first roofer gave me, I thought Alvarado's estimate was fair and quite comprehensive, therefore I authorized the repairs. Alvarado was sensitive to the fact that my roof was leaking and needed quick attention. They were able to fit me in to their busy schedule in about 2 weeks. On the day the work was to be done, the crew showed up exactly on time and performed the repairs in an efficient manner. They did an excellent job and cleaned up completely. The work appears to be of excellent quality.

Alvarado Roofing has taken advantage of us.

After preparing an estimate for repairing two hundred square foot sections of our roof, their work team only patched an area of approximately 46 square feet. They patched over an existing repair which was not the source of the leak according to other companies that came to bid.

In response to our concerns, John told us that we should flood the roof to see if the patch held which would risk further damage to our ceiling.

After approaching Alvarado Roofing regarding their breach of contract in only repairing less than half of the area planned we were given the option of paying less. Instead of ~ $780 we could pay $700. When we balked at this, we received an email threatening a lien on our house if we did not pay immediately.

This is the kind of company that gives contractors a reputation for being unprofessional and untrustworthy.

I had a roof repair done by Alvarado through a referral from a friend. They did a great job at a fair price. They came highly recommended with great ratings from Angie's list & BBB. They have been around for 24 years. I did read the last review...seems suspicious. I will use them again.

Requested and estimate for a minor roof repair on or about 14 May 2014 on the Alvarado home Website. Rob Hughes (Project Manager) was scheduled 20 May 2014 to come on site to do the visual inspection/estimate. I receive a written estimate from Mr Hughes on the afternoon on 20 May. I was instructed to email or mail the written "signed" proposal back back and at that time one of the ladies in the office would contact me to schedule a time to do the work. Mr Hughes call 29 May wanting to schedule to do the work on 30 May--a day which I had other obligations. I call 2 Jun/1:30 pm to schedule the maintenance, but upon talking to the receptionist/scheduler, she had no record of my written proposal or any ideal what I was talking about. She referred me to her superior who then stated the work had been done the morning of 2 Jun. He stated that the technician usually rings the door bell once on the property. I asked my wife (who is a teacher and is home for the summer) had anyone rang the door bell. She said no, and that no one had been here or on the roof the day of 2 Jun. I would assume if a technician had showed up, they would have left a card or something on the door which I made known. The superior insisted that someone did come by and did the repair. Why make an appointment if you are going to come by and do the work unannounced? After strongly stating to the superior that his technician did not come by to do the repair, he said to forget it! I strongly feel if anybody had came by, he would have brought the said technician into the picture to figure it all out. Never got the said technician side of it! Businesses just don't (in this economy of today)say to forget about any job, if money is due! Call the scheduler back to cancel contract. Reasons why "Sheddy business practices! " " DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ROOFING COMPANY"

I wished I had known what I know today about Alvarado Roofing and its president. Things I would have done differently other than not even bothering to get a bid from them.

I shouldn’t have trusted anyone in this company.

Check the BBB site for complaints on Alvarado Roofing.

Check nmcourts website and metrocourt website for legal actions for both Alvarado Roofing and the current president.

Check Construction Industries Division for all of the complaints that are there. There are several including one in April and two in August 2013.

Make sure the contract is signed and that they use the materials in the contract. They didn’t and wouldn’t tell me what the brand was that they actually did use.

Get a certificate of liability insurance, proof of permit and certificate of workman’s comp before letting them touch my roof.

Make sure an inspector is going to inspect while he is doing my roof and that I would be present at that inspection.

Take lots of pictures during the reroof including pictures of the materials and existing roof and decking.

He didn’t get a permit so the city didn’t do the inspection until after he got caught without getting a permit and covered up the code violations.

Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. He covers everything up and then threatened me to void the warranty if I looked under the roof to prove that there were multiple code violations and poor workmanship.

His warranty was more worthless than the paper it is written on.

They told me the warranties were already mailed but never did send them until I was persistent. He’s not honoring the warranty now.

When he was required to do repairs by CID, he installed a defective cooler flashing.

He installed sheet metal over soft decking rather than replace it as per the code on the original install. And there's more!

Do a public records request with the Construction Industry Division to see for yourself the kind of workmanship he does.

And if they can get your roof done in one day, good luck! None of the other roofers could and now I know why.

Upon purchasing a home, the inspection required that the (flat) roof be resurfaced and repaired. They did their work, we moved in, everything seemed great. Upon getting the first rain, we realize that several of the sections of the roof had a significant amount of water sitting on them. Not just 'puddles' but almost an inch and a half deep in one section. This confused me because I had recalled looking at the house (before purchasing) on a rainy day and had not seen any problems. A closer look revealed that the company slathered each of the canales with a significant amount of roofing material, causing a dam to the water. Several emails later, it was established that this was ok by their standards. They had justified this by saying that 'as long as the water evaporates in 48 hours, it is ok.' Even though this is the actual definition of ponding by the National Roofing Contractors Association, several other roofers had stated that this no longer applies when you modify the 'slope' of the roof by creating a dam because you have interfered with the required 1/4 inch per foot slope. They (the other roofers I consulted with) had also stated that the old material should have been removed prior to performing the new repairs. Well, long story short, they would not fix it. After several emails back and forth with some pictures, they did come out and look at it, but only then did they say they could remove the old material and re-patch.. for $450. I want to add that the repairs they had performed post-inspection were over $2,000 so I was hoping they would work with me. To end it all, a closer inspection showed that there were several areas (also in pictures I had sent to them) that should have been patched that were overlooked. While I am fairly confident that they would come out and perform these small repairs free of charge, I simply do not want to deal with having that much water sitting on the roof when winter comes around. I did appreciate them coming out to at least see what I was talking about, but unfortunately, nothing really worked from there.

I had my roof redone through alvarado roofing. Lets start with the installation, The installers came did the roof never told us there were done or they would be back. Came back the day after. No one ever inspected the roof to be sure if it was done properly but it looked ok minus the trash that was left behind that i had to pick up. After further inspection i find that the rotted boards that were to be replaced were not called and they gave me the run around about those being base layers they were not. Once we started to get rain the roof leaked and they have come back 4 to 5 times just to fix that. also on the first windy day shingles flew off my roof. my roof still leaks and i am about to contact them again. Do yourself a favor and do not have your roof redone through this company.

Called Alvarado for an estimate. They were very pleasant on the phone and very professional. They came out when they said they would and gave us a proposal. We contracted them to do the roof. It went great and they left everything clean.
It is very refreshing to deal with a company who does what they say they are going to do. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
