EDIT: ROOF IS LEAKING! Would not recommend… it has been a little over a year since the roof was replaced (for ONLY wind and hail damage to our shingles… our roof NEVER had leaking issues!) and now it is leaking again after their second repair attempt from the skylight we had to have them replace after they damaged it leaked the first time. I’m thoroughly disappointed and unfortunately after having to pay for my own drywall repairs once will be seeking a different roofer to repair this damage and pay for more drywall mud repair again because I don’t want Platinum roofing to attempt to“fix” this. When you have a roof replaced you expect someone with good reviews who is licensed in the profession to do a quality job I would expect a new roof to work better than one that was 25 yrs old.. photos are from morning to evening after snow began to melt…

At first the roof looks new and we are pleased appearance-wise. Jeff worked hard to meet our expectations, he was easy to work with when we wanted to make adjustments to our gutters and trim and his team painted our ducts to match the roof color during install. Jeff showed up on multiple occassions and was ready on call to handle any and all questions and concerns we brought up within a few hours notice. His company worked closely with our insurance to make sure our claim process flowed smoothly. Unfortunately there was some collateral damage to one of our skylights leading to a water leak and damage to our inside drywall, after some discussion Jeff agreed to replace both skylights however we were responsible for paying for our inside drywall repairs as they claimed they were not liable for anything other than the roof on the exterior of the house... Another issue arose recently when for the past few winter months our heating bill had been $250+ and the house would not get warm over 60 degrees, the heater was running continuously which was concerning. After some digging we found one of our HVAC ducts was disconnected and laying on the floor of the attic releasing all of the hot air into the roof space. This duct had been originally connected and sealed to the old A/C duct on the roof however when it was uninstalled during the roofing process it was left disconnected and laying out no longer sealed letting out all the heated air into the attic instead of the house. I believe leaving honest reviews is an essential part of the business for both consumer and producer. I hope this review will not only help future customers but also help Platinum roofing be aware of things to look for and do better in their future jobs.

Jeff was good. The installation was not as much as I expected.
Crew working on their personal vehicles in my driveway. Giant magnet turned into an 8 year old boy and a boy sized magnet. None of my plant pots or outdoor furniture was put back in place. I am still picking up nails in the drive. I think I had some legitimate questions about the installation and was blown off.
I think I got a good roof but the experience was less than I had hoped.

My experience with Platinum Roofing is the best contractor experience I have had during my house's ongoing repairs and remodeling. My roof job was completed in a short time with a minimal wait time. The owner was on site daily and initiated followups after the project to ensure the project was completed to my satisfaction. I am happy with the pre-job consultations provided to assist me in getting a product that I would be happy with. And I am happy. Excellent coordination between the crew and owner, and keeping me informed. Installation of TPO roofing with an insulation underlayment is saving me money on my AC costs. Glad I listened. The project was also successful in improving the drainage on my flat roof. I had a very favorable experience with this contractor. The project cost was very fair and was delivered as promised.

Platinum Roofing is a reputable company that has been in the roofing business for many years. They are honest and prices are very reasonable. They will also do all the work with the insurance company. If something is wrong with the roof after they make repairs, they will return and get it fixed until the job is complete.
We would definitely recommend Platinum Roofing for your roof repairs or installations.

They came removed 3 layers of shingles and left my home totally clean! Profession...two days all done! Neighbors have commented that they never even saw the roofers and my house looks so totally awesome.

Follow up to my experience with Jeff.
Our roof leaked after the first heavy rainstorm. The rain came through the drywall in our ceiling and into our living room while we were watching television. Our air conditioners are located over the leaking ceiling.
Jeff came by and “promised” to help us discover the leak. He eventually came back and installed a cricket at the area where he believed the leak was coming from. Because of my health, I could not go on the roof to check. So Jeff took pictures.
All was fine until it rained again. And guess what? Water flowed from the ceiling into the family room.
Jeff was at a loss and blamed the air conditioners. It was funny that we had no roof leaks under the air conditioners before he lifted and reset both of them. But he insisted the air conditioners were the issue and he takes no responsibility for repairs to our damaged drywall.
We had a very well-known company inspect the ac units. There were no leaks detected. We got two roofing estimates to assess the repairs. Both said the problem was the roofing around the ac units. We hired one to fix the roof leak and a painting company to repair the ceiling in the family room.
Jeff is a nice guy and came recommended by a close friend. However, he offers a workmanship warranty but doesn’t back it up with action to customers satisfaction. We gave him every opportunity to fix the roofing issue.
For this reason, I will never recommend his company to install a new roof. Still considering small claims court.

Platinum Roofing did an extraordinarily good job in replacing my roof, and in assisting me to obtain the necessary documentation and inspections required for my home owners insurance to cover the cost of the work. The roof is very attractive and professionally installed in an efficient manner. Jeff, the executive officer, saw to every aspect of the job and did such a great job that I have recommended the company to several friends and relatives.

My roof looks fantastic. The process was a lot easier than I thought. They did the inspection that only took about 20 minutes.

They helped me through the insurance process which was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I got a $14,000 dollar roof and it only cost me my deductible which was $500 dollars.

Great professional experience.

Platinum Roofing made a good impression initially, but by the time the job was complete, we realized we had made a mistake in choosing them to do our roof. They are friendly and have a good sales pitch, but we feel like they do not take pride in their work and the quality of the finished product is poor.

To begin with, they told us that they would put everything back the way they found it, but after they were finished with the roof, we discovered that the air conditioner had not been repositioned to mate with the duct and the wiring had not been reconnected. They had even covered the wiring from the house with TPO. When we called them back out to do it right, the only thing they did was punch a non-flashed ragged hole in the TPO, pulled the wires through, and stuffed them all in the junction box (not connecting the wires, not mounting the box, and not even closing the box). They did nothing to position the unit correctly.

This lack of work ethic caused us to take a closer look at their work and in doing so, several loose, cold welds were found. We called the owner to show him what they had done with the air conditioner and to point out the cold welds. We agreed that we would reinstall the A/C ourselves so that it would be done correctly, and he assured us that he would send his guys to inspect all the seams and reweld any cold welds. He later assured us he had come out (we did not see him) and had “triple checked” all of the work and that it was a “good roof.”

Two days later, during the ceiling drywall repair, we discovered that they had installed the roof over bad sections of decking. We had specifically requested that they not do this during the initial inspection, and they assured us they would not ever install a new roof over bad decking. This is exactly what they did. Even worse, we discovered that the roof was still leaking. We had to put the drywall company on hold, and they had to rearrange their schedule. This time, several other cold welds were found, as well as a fairly large puncture that was causing the leak. This was two days after the owner supposedly triple checked everything.

From the ridiculous amount of caulking slopped everywhere to the excessive damage to the stucco on the parapet wall during removal, their work just seems rushed, careless, and sloppy. Everything about the process and the finished product has left us with little confidence that our roof will not leak in the future. We would not use this company if we could do it again and we would not recommend them to anyone else.
