Yellowhammer Roofing installed a quality , attractive roof on my home using Owens Corning laminated shingles. The roofing crew was outstanding and very competent in installing the new roof. Upon completion of the job , they did an excellent job of cleaning up the job site. I was unable to discover any roofing nails in the driveway or yard. I also want to highly commend David Norris who basically oversaw the job and made sure the roof was exactly as I had requested. David was great to work with and constantly kept me updated throughout the job.I feel like that I have made a good friend. I would also like to commend Tre with quality control who made sure that the job was done correctly and up to the building code.He came by and made the final inspection of the job. I would highly reccomend Yellowhammer roofing to anyone that needed a new roof. I think that my new roof adds to the value of my house.

Stone and his team at Yellowhammer did a great job putting on my new roof in 2014, and repairing major damage early March 2015 from a tree that recently fell across my house. By closely looking at the work they completed, you would never be able to tell that the roof and gutters had been partially replaced. They also handled everything from start to finish with my insurance company, and ended up basically getting a free new roof last year.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Michael! It was such a smooth process from beginning to end! Would give 10 stars if I could!

Yellowhammer Roofing (Athens,AL) crew did a great job on replacing a full roof at my house. The team was very efficient, the quality of work is great. The area was spotless when they finished. The project inspector David Stout, was excellent - knowledgeable and always available to answer questions. He also handled the insurance claim, questions and requests, made the whole process easier.

Very satisfied with Yellow Hammer roof team and the representative David Stout. It was a full roof replacement project. The team was professional and efficient, and they cleaned up everything at the end of the day. David Stout is a very knowledgeable specialist. He kept the whole project smoothly: addressed our questions, handled the insurance process , making it easy to file a claim and get the coverage, always replied on phone calls or emails. David came out Monday to inspect roof for estimate, said he'd email it Wednesday. He didn't. Called him Thursday, told him I needed it before the weekend and he assured me he'd send it that afternoon. He didn't. Friday came and went without the estimate. Guess they have so much business they don't need mine.

I called Yellowhammer roofing. They immediately set an appointment for me . Dwayne arrived right on time even though it was raining. Very friendly and professional. not to mention extremely knowledgeable about roofs. He educated me very well. He even fixed a problem 4 free. I can't thank him enough. Thanks again Dwayne.

I cannot recommend Yellowhammer enough! Dwayne has been out to our house 3 separate times, once to do some patching/replace a vent and twice to do a general inspection after some storms. The advice and guidance we’ve gotten has always been great (and super helpful to me as a first time homeowner).

Dwayne Currier he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of after having tried to get a roof replacement with two other roofers and got denied ,I would give him 10 ✨ if it would allow me to ,we do appreciate him.

I once was satisfied with this company, but now I give YELLOW HAMMER ROOFING a 1 star rating because of them will them trying anything they possibly can to get money out of you even after you sign the contract. I was being billed for 2 turbines to be installed plus ridge vents. After completion, I noticed that the roof was missing 2 whole turbines. I called the sales rep Dwayne Currier, after he sent me pictures and the invoice, and told him that I was being billed for something that wasn’t there. He explained that you can’t do both ridge vents and turbines and they installed the ridge vents. I highlighted a screenshot of where I was getting charged for both, which he waited til after the weekend to take the charge off. (IF I HADN’T SAID ANYTHING, I WOULD’VE BEEN ROBBED FOR $332.29) Fast forward to 2 weeks later after completion, I receive an invoice with payment due of $167.36 for building permits. I called and asked why am I getting billed for permits after I’ve already paid the remaining balance and that permits should’ve been listed in the contract prior to signing. It was stated by Amy Coleman that they only know how much the building permits are after completion. My invoice states “We purchased the required permit from your governing municipality PRIOR to installation to ensure compliance with current building, construction and zoning codes.” Once I asked to get a itemized receipt from where they have paid the county for permits, it was then said to me that my account was then paid in full and I was all cleared from the payment. This company is out for money however they can get it from you. Amy Coleman was the same person that sent the invoice for the permits and if I hadn’t called, I would have been out of $167.36 for permits that should’ve been included in the beginning, because it seems as if I confronted them on charging me for turbines that weren’t there, they have to find something to charge me for. Also if I hadn’t call Dwayne Currier, I would have been out of $332.29 for turbines that wasn’t even installed but was written in the contract. PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR INVOICES AND DOUBLE CHECK THE WORK TO SEE WHAT WAS NOT INSTALLED!!

My wife and I are very pleased with our new roof Yellowhammer Roofing installed. From the very beginning our sales rep, David F, was a pleasure to deal with. He explained in detail the products that would be used to accomplish the job and made sure we knew what to expect during the tear off and shingling process. I had a unique issue with an existing chimney leak that required some special steps to ensure the problem would be taken care of. The job was done exactly as I requested.

VERY PLEASED with this company!! They worked with my insurance company on some hail damage and removed two old roofs before installing the new one. I am pleased with the materials used, the workmanship and the clean up process. I would recommend them to anyone who thinks they may need a new roof!

My homeowners insurance was not renewing my policy due to the age of my roof. I had Yellowhammer roofing inspect and quote and it turns out I had storm damage that was covered by my insurance company. The roof installation was quick and efficient. We worked with Stone Stephenson and he was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and helped guide us through the insurance claim and follow-up. We are very glad we called Yellowhammer for our roofing needs. I would like to give a special shout out to Connie Elmore, their Insurance Specialist, who sent me documents and picture I requested promptly and was extremely helpful.

David did so many things well and professionally. 1. He had an excellent brochure with credentials, company ratings, etc. 2. He answered the phone on my 1st call, 3. He fit us in within a few hours of my call. 4. He not only showed up, he showed up right on time! and 5. He was able to fix our smaller problem then instead of putting us on some schedule, which was critically important since our old contractor kept putting us off over 3 weeks and stood us up twice! We now aren't worried that there are 6+ inches of rain in the forecast for this week.

I had yellow Hammer Roofing come out to replace a garage and home roof. I guess they did not send the A-Team. I have had them out three times after the install to correct bad workmanship. The first item to repair was the transition from home to patio roof it was leaking in between the two roofs onto my patio. The second and third items called out for incorrect nailing they left nails on the roofing not seated thus lifting the shingles up with a air gap , making it easy for strong winds to get under and rip off. And to add injury to insult when they came out to repair the roof they placed their ladder against my aluminum cover over my Eve thus scratching up the eve and leaving silver scrape marks on my eve caps. The repairs required two separate attempts to correct.
I am adding on to my home the new roofer I used inform me that they nailed the shingles way too high on each single. The shingle will not seal correctly or and the nail will not penetrate the shingle installed before the new one laying on top. Not nailing them properly will make them more acceptable to come off during the summer because of the thin layer where the nail is placed. This will not make for a strong Roofing job. While removing the old roof they scraped shingles, roofing nails along with tar paper disregarding my cooling unit. It was completely covered up on top along with items getting inside past the fan. If my unit had come on while all this debris was on it it could have damaged the unit. This was unacceptable and not a good experience at all. Do not recommend this roofer there are too many out there that do quality work.

Yellowhammer replaced the roof on my house approximately 10 years ago. I was very pleased with their work. When I suspected hail damage recently, my first phone call was to YellowHammer. David Stout conducted a thorough inspection , documented the damage, and assisted me in filing a claim with my insurance company. My claim was approved, and work was scheduled and completed on timely basis.

I am delighted with my Yellowhammer metal roof. I expect many, many years of service from it. I was impressed from the start when they sent a team of people, including the owner, to inspect the current roof and make sure everybody was aware of areas of concern and that they were all on the same page regarding the job. Most of these people drove from 1 to 2 hours to the site. In addition to doing a quality roofing job, they recommended AND coordinated with trusted businesses they have dealt with to replace my skylights and gutters. David Stout, my Yellowhammer representative, was crucial to putting all this in motion and was available whenever I had questions or needed something. (He also noticed that I had hail damage and arranged for the insurance to pay some of the costs; an unexpected bonus!) I can't speak highly enough about this company. Let them install your next new roof. You may never need another.

He went above and beyond providing documentation and photos to our insurance agency to assure we would get full compensation. He even addressed issues that were missed on their end. He copied us on everything so we were kept in the loop. He was professional and courteous. The installation took one day and the team cleaned up beautifully as well as helping move all the plants back to their original spot! From the very beginning everything was professional. When our rep, David, came out for the inspection he was knowledgeable and very helpful. He took pictures of the roof to show us bad spots, left us with reading materials and then came back with samples of the shingle materials we would be getting. The shingle samples allowed us to choose just the right colour shingle for our home. The crew that did the work was exceptional. They arrived at 7 am and took only a lunch break before leaving at 7:30 pm. They cleaned up at the end of the day and returned the next day to finish the installation. Employers can only hope to have such hard working individuals on their team. When the job was finished they cleaned up everything and left the grounds looking better than when they arrived.
