Suspecting hail damage after the last tornado event, I searched for reputable roofing companies to check my roof and ran across one of my neighbors, David Stout, who represents Yellowhammer Roofing. He quickly came out to do a free inspection which confirmed my suspicion. He also walked me through the entire process from going through the insurance claim (which took a minute to get done) to the finished product. He is very knowledgeable, very communicative, and patiently answered all my questions. Additionally, one of my Japanese Maples and a Hydrangea tree was damaged toward the end of the install. Even though it’s not something normally covered Yellowhammer Roofing they are, indeed, replacing the damaged trees. I couldn’t ask for better service or integrity in a business. I will be using David and Yellowhammer Roofing again in the future and I recommend you do as well. Tell him I sent you!

Mike Healy came out to fix my roof around the chimney area as well as repair a gutter. Hopefully I should be good to go for a little while.

I am not usually one to write a review for services, but I can't miss the opportunity to express my pleasure to meet and listen to Hunter Whitaker. He was very well informed and knowledgeable, but more than that, he was delightful! He made what could have been a boring presentation, fun and enjoyable. I also appreciated the fact that this young man made two trips in the same day to accommodate my husband's schedule to help our daughter with details about the roof. Mike Healy was great to work with. He would not accept State Farm's rejection of the hail damage claim and followed up repeatedly with the adjuster with multiple pictures and documentation until they agreed. Yellowhammer replaced the roof quickly and within our timeline.

Mike was great helping us go through the process of getting our new roof. Despite the summer rain they we about to come up in the expected time frame. Installation day was smooth, quick, and easy.

We suffered wind and hail damage earlier this year. We had Yellowhammer come out and do an inspection. David Gillman was the representative we worked with and he gave us an estimate on repair. Our insurance company came out to do their inspection and state what they would cover. Gillman worked with the USAA representative on this issue. We then hired Yellowhammer to replace the roof and chose a few upgrades. The work crew came out this past Thursday at 6 am. The crew worked hard and had the roof finished by 4 pm. I surveyed the yard after they left and I only found one nail. They did an excellent job. I love the way our new blue roof looks as it really stands out. I highly recommend Yellowhammer Roofing.

My roof was significantly damaged during a storm. I called Yellowhammer to get an estimate to repair/replace the roof. David Gillman came out the same day and provided me an estimate. David was very thorough in explaining the pros and cons. My decision was to upgrade the roof from 3-tab shingles to the architectural shingles. Yellowhammer did an awesome job installing the new roof. I highly recommend this roofing company!

A few hickups with communication, but we've had a ton of storms, so they have had a lot of work - even with losing crews to ... politics.

They are being responsive and taking care of issues as best as they can under the circumstances.

On 5/7/25 at about 5:40pm I had someone from yellowhammer pull into my driveway and ring my doorbell. Apparently this particular gentleman cannot read. I clearly have a sign next to my walkway that says no soliciting, do not ring my doorbell. He ignored it. The sign is there for a reason. Is this company really that desperate for work?
On 5/15/25 I had another guy from yellowhammer ringing my door bell. I never called and dont want to be bothered. If they are this desperate for work, I certainly be suspect of their work. I still have the no soliciting sign up and he walked right by it.

I was really pleased with the service I received from Yellowhammer Roofing. Joel Duncan , Roofing and Insurance Claims Specialist, went out of his way to ensure my roofing needs were met. Once the claim was made with my insurance my roof was completed within approximately four weeks. I would absolutely use Yellowhammer Roofing again in the future.

Jessica was prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable in her assessment of our roof and the repairs we needed. We had identified one leak, but she found another, along with two other sections that needed to be replaced. I appreciate the customer service while I was home with a newborn. Micah understood that it was difficult for me to be awake when the roof inspection was needed to be done. SO he showed up and did the inspection with our insurance adjuster. The contract and finance process were thoroughly explained and all questions were answered. The crew showed up and asked us to move our vehicle to avoid damage from falling roof debri, Which I greatly appreciated that gesture.The install went flawlessly and the clean up after install was complete was a 10/10 service. They did ask us if they could leave one of there dump trailers overnight and be picked up in the morning. I SAID YES! Because we had the driveway space and they did an awesome job making sure out roof was installed in 1 day and clean up was complete. The whole experience was great.

The most hands on, knowledgeable, patient and professional roofing company! Daniel Canada was extremely thorough and handled everything including dealing with our insurance company. He provided detailed documentation after we were originally denied a replacement roof and after 5 months we finally got the approval. Daniel and Yellowhammer truly know their business! Dwayne Currier has been awesome through this process of having my roof replaced. He explained the materials and choices, was in contact and available the entire time, and checked/visited before and after the replacement. I would definitely refer anyone needing a roof to contact him.

Yellowhammer Roofing replaced the roof on our house there were no leaks in the roof at that time. Afterwards there were leaks around both chimneys. After three months of phone calls and arguments a crew came and repaired one leak. The other chimney stilled leaks and now leak even worse. A representative visited our house several times and refuses to correct the problem. To me new roof installed by Yellowhammer Roofing Company is not worth the money are the headaches.

Yellowhammer did a small roof repair for me. Acceptable work, but I was contacted afterwards for additional payment due to work beyond what was quoted. However, the job was done according to the original quote, and the workers didn’t seek approval from me for any additional work. I think I would’ve ended up paying for work that was not completed and that I did not approve if I hadn’t been willing to push back.

We had hail damage to our roof. Yellowhammer representatives did the free inspection and our roof was replaced. Our only cost was the insurance deductable. Kaiden Davis providec great oversight and detailed explaination.

Just wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful experience I had with Yellowhammer Roofing. Mike Healy was professional and explained everything in detail so I could make an informed decision. There was no pressure whatsoever. Their roofing team was fantastic! They arrived when they said they would, very polite and professional. They also use tarps to cover the house, spread about 15 feet in all directions, when removing the old roof. Clean up was great! I searched for nails and trash in my garden and yard and there was none to be found. Very reasonably priced, too. I highly recommend Yellowhammer Roofing!

We were cautious to have our roof replaced but it definitely needed it. We had were in the process of replacing windows, siding and gutters (other contractors) along with the roof. Joel Duncan came and met with us and gave us a timely quote with suggestions for some problem spots on our complex roof system. We had difficulty with our siding contractor and had to reschedule our roof installation three times. Joel was very helpful, timely and flexible to work with. Yellowhammer was by far our best contractor on this project. Our roof was replaced and cleaned up in two days. The contractors were on time both days and worked nonstop. We have a large pool and they covered the whole pool to keep debris out. The cleanup was very detailed and courteous. I am not a person that usually provides reviews but Joel and Yellowhammer did a great job and we have recommended to all our neighbors.

Chris with Yellowhammer roofing came out to look at a small section of my roof where a few shingles came off with the wind. Even though it was a small job he took care of me. Chris has a fantastic attitude and very polite. I highly recommend YH and Chris to anyone needing a repair!

I'm glad I didn't make the same mistake as I did last time I needed a new roof. You get what you pay for. I went with Yellowhammer this time no question. They are the largest roofing company in Alabama for a reason and I wanted the best warranty I could find backed by the largest company. I could not risk not having a great warranty again. I am very pleased with the work of Yellowhammer Roofing in replacing my roof. The new roof is much better than the old one; I could tell this by watching the workers as they removed the old roofing and went about installing the new one. I am also very pleased with the way Mike Healy, the Yellowhammer representative, walked me through the whole business side of the job.
Mike came to look at the roof very quickly after I called Yellowhammer about a leak. He showed us how we could temporarily stop the leak ourselves at no cost and told us that the amount of hail damage was probably enough for our insurance company to cover a new roof. He explained exactly all the steps Yellowhammer would take in removing the old roofing completely, inspecting the underlying lumber, making any needed repairs to that, and installing the new roof. He also explained the process of communicating with the insurance company. All the details were noted on a Yellowhammer form which I got a copy of.
When I called in the claim, I passed the phone to him and he explained the damage and details to the insurance agent and answered technical questions that I could not answer. From there on he handled most of the communication with them, which was very fortunate as they later “forgot” about some of the money they were committed to pay out. The Yellowhammer business office, particularly Sharon Beene, handles insurance in a very professional and experienced way. Both Mike and Sharon were constantly right on top of everything and either picked up the phone when I called or replied very quickly to my calls.
The roofing work was also done in a very professional way. I was notified beforehand about when the materials would arrive and what time workers would arrive and everything went according to schedule. The workers were very considerate, asking where they could part vehicles and place equipment, etc… They cleaned up after themselves as they were working and did a very thorough clean up afterwards. I’ve searched and haven’t found any nails in the yard or on the driveway.
Some of the original roofing lumber had to be replaced as the house is over 70 years old. They showed me the pieces which were obviously damaged and kept track of all those repairs so the insurance could cover them.
After the work was done, they submitted all the paperwork to the insurance company. When some issues came up with payment, Mike and Sharon communicated with them and got immediate results. They ended up reimbursing the entire cost of replacing the roof minus my deductible and some upgrade improvements that Mike and I had discussed in our first meeting. So, I got a good new roof quickly with relatively little cost to me.

Kris Koob came to me house after storm damage to my roof. He had a great,outgoing personality & we hit it off immediately even though I am a huge Alabama fan & he is a huge Michigan fan. I highly recommend him to inspect your roof. He did the inspection on a Friday & the job was complete the next week. Thank you Chris & a shout out to Chrissy Boyd for recommending him. Our experience with Yellowhammer Roofing is one of the best experiences we've ever had. I contacted two other roofing companies and NEVER received a call back. I contacted Yellowhammer and within 30-45 minutes, Chris called me. Chris came to our home and within minutes, had diagnosed the problem. The repair work was done when he said it would be. They cleaned up around our house so well, I couldn't tell if they had even been there. We will definitely use Yellowhammer in the future for our roofing needs. I HIGHLY recommend them!!

I’m so thankful Jake Cianciotto was my Yellow Hammer representative. He is very knowledgeable and knows the ends and outs of the roofing business. He helped tremendously in getting my insurance to approve my roof replacement. He made sure to be here when my insurance contractor came by to do my roof inspection. I think Jake being here at the same time for that inspection made all the difference in getting my insurance claim approved! Jake consistently answered all my questions, made recommendations that were perfect for me, kept me very informed every step of the way, and was very proactive in preparations beforehand to make sure everything went smoothly! The crew was great: starting before dawn, only taking a half hour for lunch, not playing loud music, and completing every thing including clean up on a shorter daylight November day. I’m very happy with Yellowhammer and especially thankful for Jake guiding me throughout the entire process! We asked about some water leaks we saw a year after installation of our roof. I thought the water may have been wind-driven rain. Mona came out and checked around with a thermal camera and found it was a plumbing leak around a toilet. I really appreciate Yellowhammer's customer service.

These guys encouraged me to file a claim for hail damage with my insurance instead of honestly looking at the problem. I followed their advice and my insurance premium went up over 500.00 after the claim was denied due to no evidence of hail damage. My roof leaks because of poor workmanship by the builders. Instead of doing a thorough examination and making an estimate, they tried to run an insurance scam. Once the claim was denied, they did not return any phone calls or provide an estimate. I have no problem paying to get the roof fixed, but it seems if they aren't scamming insurance companies, they aren't interested.
I even said I don't want to go through the insurance claim because I didn't want my premiums to increase. They assured me it wouldn't go up.

The representative (Tim) was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained very well and kept me informed each step of the process. The roofing team did an excellent job as well. Thanks Tim for a job well done.

Seems to be a great community of folks who all seem to be dedicated to the work they do. It seems like a great company to work for. Every employee is celebrated on their special days and achievements at work. This company also is very generous with fund raising and charities such as bikes or bust.
