When daylight hit on Sunday morning, December 29, 2024, several of us gathered in downtown Athens, AL to survey the damage an EF-1 tornado had done to our buildings the night before. Within a short amount of time our building was filled with a phenomenal SERVPRO team led by Alex Haney, along with Blake Olinger, Payton Biggs and a group of very hard working professionals. We had no power for two and a half days but they came prepared with generators, fans, dehumidifiers and an incredible amount of knowledge. I wish I had learned all the names of this crew because they each deserve high praise for efficiency, professionalism, and extreme patience and politeness. Alex kept us informed of what had been done and what to expect. If we had questions he, Blake, Payton and the team had answers. We are so thankful for the long hours and hard work they have given to turn a disaster into an opportunity to start over. Our office is in the post demo stage and even at that they have it clean and made ready to build back stronger. Thank you SERVPRO!

Serv-Pro in NW Alabama does not have their own employees to do any of labor or repair. All this company is is a general contractor that subs out every aspect of the work needed . When they quoted the job for us they never mentioned anything about the separate charge for moving all of the smoke damaged contents in a 1600 sq. ft home out, storing and cleaning the contents and moving back in. The fire was on my back patio and there was minimal damage but opening the sliding glass door let the smoke in which caused damage. To repair the patio and remove clean and replace the contents I thought was all in the one quote on the paper work I signed. They then without my knowledge billed my insurance company $43,000 for just the removal ,cleaning and replacement of my content and the sales Rep for Serv-Pro left me with the impression that the $29,000 quote was for everything. They never completed any of the work, was not on time but maybe twice, and broke 5 lamps, and there was very expensive items missing. Plus the electric company they sub-contracted left the job to where my mom got electrocuted when opening the patio door. I would not recommend using this company at all. The worst experience ever.

Integrity! Kindness! Excellent work, and excellent work ethics! I can't say enough good about the experience I've had with all the employees with Servpro! Alex, Anthony, Jose, Kendrick, Tammy, Kimberly, Brandon....I give an EXCELLENT rating of 10 to all! This was an extremely stressful time for me, and they all helped me through it. I am extremely grateful! I am happily telling all my friends and family on fb about this awesomely awesome company. With its awesome employees! Thanks ya'll! What's interesting, is every time I've mentioned Servpro to a friend.....they already knew that they were an excellent company to work with!

Servpro did a great job of cleaning a couple of chairs and area rugs for us. Anthony, Payton, and Kedric were most courteous and professional while working in our home.

Had Servpro come out and do some work for us. Mr. Nick H. called before he arrived, arrived on time, and was very professional. Kept us up-to-date on what was going on and when, walked us through and showed us all the work had been completed. Couldn't have asked for more. 5/5 would recommend, and request again.

Professionals at what they do. My home had water damage and within a days notice they had sent out a team to help and get the problem resolved. Will and Richard Robey are both very professional and helpful along with the rest of the servepro team. Definitely recommend them to anybody

All the employees from SERVPRO were impressive, I really appreciate there work ethic, All of the employees are well mannered, And eager to answer any and all questions I can think of. I am an overall satisfied customer.

If I could give negative stars, I would. We had a flood Jan 17 2024. Servpro showed quickly and began helping with the mess. They brought fans and went to work. I thought everything was great. I’ve never had a flood before and was not well informed on how to tell them to do THEIR jobs. NO ONE went into the crawlspace to mitigate- they finally went down there after several days at my husband’s suggestion and said it looked “fine” (apparently cold water can grown mold in 48 hours). Servpro came back about a week later, did not use sophisticated moisture meters, pulled their equipment and left. My children and I begin having respiratory issues to find out that there was water in the crawlspace, the subfloor wicked and now the entire ground floor was wet (previously contained to one bedroom). There was also GROWING MOLD in the crawlspace due to Servpro’s negligence. Now nearly the entire ground floor needs to be replaced- as opposed to one room, had they done their job effectively and competently.

A separate review- but don’t trust State Farm either. They were happy to close the house back up and didn’t think moisture meters that gave actual readings were necessary (they use meters that give a color scale. Adjustor didn’t even know ranges of what the colors meant). Just words of caution. I would never allow them near my (now demolished) home. Thanks, ServPro.

UPDATE to their response: I'm not letting a company that put my health at risk and destroyed my home back to "fix" it. That's ridiculous and I have no confidence it would be fixed correctly this time around. The photos you sent CLEARLY indicated a wet crawlspace with a moisture meter placed just outside the water line. Did you believe that moisture would resolve on it's own WITHOUT molding?!?! I've attached it here in case you didn't look at it before sending to me. I have no idea what you thought you were proving or how this conversation is continuing based on your "evidence". I'm done with this. I didn't post for a fix. You've done enough. I simply wanted to spare others from the same horrific experience I'm now dealing with.

Furthermore, the hardwoods were put in that room five years ago. The mold was not pre-existing. Your suggestion of such is insulting and a cop out, quite frankly. A simple apology would've gone a lot further than this ridiculous attempt to excuse yourselves and further infuriate me.

They have been wonderful! Blake, Trevor, Donnie, and everyone else who helped at my house (I can’t remember all names) were very professional and great with communication. While dealing with water damage is not something I wanted to do this Christmas season, these guys truly made it a much easier experience. They even came by on Christmas Eve to pick up their equipment. Above and beyond service. Highly recommend!

I dealt with Nick, Alex, David, Zack, Carl, and Dalton. They all did an amazing job! They got out here quick, very professional, very informative, on time, and communicated with me every step of the way. Nothing negative to say at all about them and Servpro

As a Property Manager....Alex Haney and his team came out to work on a job that took all night. They were professional, friendly, and did a great job. The situation was very stressful, and Alex handled it calmly, explaining all that would be done. I would recommend them to anyone!! Thank you!

My home was completely destroyed by water damage. I was impressed with the kindness and empathy Serv-pro showed towards me the day it happened. I had many questions and they patiently answered all of them. They were wonderful communicating what would happen next with my home during the water remediation and demolition process. While in temporary housing, they helped me access my belongings in storage that I needed to set up home. They were always kind and went above expectations to be helpful. They also helped me moved to my temporary housing and back to my restored home. They were great movers and moved my furniture with great respect and care. I am very grateful they were the company to assist me during one of the most difficult times of my life. They are a company with heart and I highly recommend them!

Great people, great work, great company.

A storm blew through town and took off a piece of my roof. The rain from the storm completely soaked my attic and started coming through my ceiling into the upstairs rooms. After I got the roof tarped, Servpro of Limestone and Lawrence Counties/Decatur came in and fixed EVERYTHING. They extracted all the standing water, did the necessary demo, and placed drying equipment to get my attic and entire upstairs back to normal.

Overall fantastic experience with this company. 10/10 would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was extremely impressed with the response and professionalism of this team. I had a mishap that resulted in 2 bedrooms, a hallway, and a bathroom being flooded. They were here within just a few hours of us contacting our insurance company and did an outstanding job for my family. 10 out of 10 on service, professionalism, getting the job done, and just general courtesy. I’m rather hard to impress, but they did an excellent job!

We bought a house here in Somerville about six months ago and our AC dumped water from the second floor down to our basement. Of course, it's 100+ degrees that week, my wife is pregnant, and the kids were restless! Christy and her team at Serv Pro were my second call after the HVAC company. She and her team made resolving this issue with the insurance company almost painless, the exception being the heat and rising tensions.

They cut out the problem areas and even let us use a few portable air conditioners to cool off while things dried out and our HVAC was repaired. I wouldn't hesitate to work with this group again and can't say enough about their compassion and professionalism.

When my toilet backed up and flooded my entire basement, I just knew it was going to be such a hassle to take care of it. But one call to this Servpro was all it took and they took care of the rest! Honestly I shouldn’t have been stressed at all because when they were done no one could tell anything had happened. 5 stars and that’s only cause google won’t let me put any more.

This SERVPRO just finished a very large project for my company. Having fire damage is very stressful, and the managers at this location made the damage recovery process easy in every way. They really care about their clients and were always on call to make the process go smoothly. They went above and beyond to make sure that I had all of the information needed to helped my company recover quickly. The site workers were friendly and professional. I highly recommend this company, specifically this location.

My families home had severe water damage after a third floor water heater busted. It was a very traumatic experience, but thankfully the managers and workers at this location made the clean up process as easy as possible. The work was even finished two weeks earlier then I expected! The workers were timely and extremely efficient. Hire this team for quality clean up.

Had to have them come out to clean mold out of my vents. Not only did they do that but when some of the debris was pushed out into the house they cleaned that as well and didn't charge me extra. Free Livingroom cleaning yay! 10/10 would recommend and use again.

My apartment place used them to clean out my air ducks for mold. I have video cameras in my apartment and saw the work was not done right. All the dust and mold was sucked in ti my unit and unit itself was not cleaned, and this where the mold was at. I contacted servpro with my findings and they turned me away. I have even emailed them with no reply. They should have cleaned out the unit was well.

I had the best experience working with this team. They were timely and professional and easy to get in touch with. I felt as though my items were all in good hands as they were cleaned and stored after my house fire. Would definitely recommend this Servpro!

Here at Isom's Chapel, we have a fantastic campus, but the basement of our oldest building was in need of some carpet removal and microbial cleaning. Their work crew was professional, courteous, and ridiculously efficient. They showed up on time, AND finished sooner than expected.

We where amazed how quick they respond to come out and get our water damage under control. They where so friendly and professional. We highly recommend them.

They came to work on my neighbors house and parked their panel truck in my yard. This rutted up my lawn and when confronted, one employees warned the others that the should be careful not to put footprint's in my yard. Apparently they did could not distinguish between standing in a yard and driving a multi-ton truck through the grass.

I hope they did a good job for the nieghbor..

Our office flooded after our hot water heater burst last week. We called Servpro and they were there within 30 minutes. They immediately got to work drying our office out and removing wet flooring and baseboards. They dried the entire office out within a couple of days. They did a a fantastic job! I would highly recommend them!

Recently my vehicle broke down in Athens while en route to drop my daughter off at college. After calling all the local U Haul dealers with the hopes of renting a truck, I came up empty handed as no trucks were available. As a SERVPRO franchise owner in Illinois, I, reluctantly, called the SERVPRO OF Limestone and Lawrence Counties to see if they could assist me with the move. I spoke with Tammy Payne and she was amazing. She assured me they were here to help and started the ball rolling. Jeff and Harry showed up with a crew to move things into their vehicle and delivered my daughters content to her in Auburn. Although this is not a review based on work done, this review is to say these people are a class act! They helped me when I didn’t know who to turn to and they were kind, professional and just all around great people. They are a 10+!!!

Servpro came out this morning to sanitize my home as an extra precaution from Covid. They were on time, extremely courteous, and just nice people. The service they provide is invisible but I think they did a great job. I have nothing to compare for quality and value. I feel a bit more secure.

Phenomenal service. Exceptional quality cleaning. We will higher them again in the future and HIGHLY recommend to family and friends. Great people.

Thanks to Penny Stevens, the staff and crew at Servpro in Athens, Al. for the great job they recently did on our carpet at Westview Church of Christ. From the quoting process, preliminary walk through, scheduling and cleaning, all went flawless. We had several deep stains that I gave very little chance of being removed but the crew did a great job of completely removing all of them. Thanks again to a job well done.!!!

I would like to thank servepro for acting quickly and coming out to my house after I found water damage in my kids restroom. I have a son that recently has gone through a bone marrow transplant and I needed to have my rr looked at immediately to make sure there wasn't mold or a lot of standing water in unseen places , since his health is constrained right now. Servepro didn't disappoint. Their team came out and took care of what was needed right away and got my living conditions improved asap for my son and I. I thought I would have to wait a long time and am pleased to say under already stressful living conditions, they made this situation less stressful. Thank you Servepro for taking care of us and explaining to me what had happened and how you would fix it and how to prevent it from happening again. You've gone above and beyond for sure !!

What wasn't destroyed in fire, was pretty much destroyed or lost by this company.
The office people are nice, and somewhat prompt...I have heard that the crew that handled our things has been let go. I hope this is the case.
UPDATE.. they finally returned our refrigerator, but evidently someone needed an ice maker. They just ripped it out. UNBELIEVABLE... you have been warned! This is a bad place.

Your being under new management doesn't compensate me at all for my dealings with this company.
Maybe if I were taken seriously in the beginning, or financially compensated for the things that were destroyed by this company, I would change my review. We had already lost most everything anyway, and dealing with all of that was MORE than enough. This company actually made things worse instead of helping.

Glad things are better now.
