In early March of 2023 I received wind damage to my roof and chimney. I selected Roof Tech Solutions to perform the work and was quoted $17,640 for the roofing repair and $2250 for the chimney repair.

I was generally pleased with the roof and the speed the job was completed. Had it been my only interaction with Roof Tech, I would be leaving a 4 or 5 star review. Unfortunately, it is everything that happened (and didn’t happen) with my chimney repair that forces me to leave a negative review. I would recommend that you avoid this contractor based on my experience.

I signed two contracts on March 24. The roof was completed on March 31. It was not until May 25 that the contractor arrived to do the repair on my chimney. The sales representative (initials B.B.) told me that they needed an additional $400 dollars as their subcontractor had charged more than anticipated and that my chimney crown still needed to be repaired but he needed a different subcontractor for that. I inquired about the cost and was told “a couple hundred” and this was repeated to me numerous times.

Between May 25 and Aug 14 I made numerous phone calls and sent multiple txt messages and each time I was told that the subcontractor was completely backed up but that it was expected to be finished soon. On Aug 14 I called B.B. and expressed my frustration. He stated “if you feel like you need to hire someone else to finish the job, I completely understand”. At this point, I called the owner, Mr. Mike Raby and explained my displeasure with the time it was taking to finish my repair. He said he would get to the bottom of it and call me back. Two days later B.B. called and said he had a different subcontractor lined up and that the work was going to be an additional $1750.

I told Mr. Raby that it was unacceptable that after almost 5 months of waiting and being told that it would only be a couple hundred more, they wanted almost double the original quote. He stated that B.B. was under the impression that I had an electric fireplace insert and that is why I was told “just a couple hundred” more. I told Mr. Raby this was untrue and he stated “B.B. is as honest as the day is long, but you are my customer so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and we will assume you are telling the truth”. He asked numerous times how much State Farm had paid me for the chimney crown on my insurance claim, and implied that I was trying to commit insurance fraud. At the end of this call, Mr. Raby had given me his word that he would make me a priority, personally come to my home and assess the situation and have the job completed quickly.

Being concerned about the additional cost and Mr. Raby’s implication, I contacted State Farm and asked them about the damage to the chimney crown. State Farm said that based on photo evidence the damage was done by Mr. Raby’s crew and that it would not be covered.

After a week of no contact from Mr. Raby, I gave up and hired another contractor to finish the job. After 15 days from my last contact with Mr. Raby I found a chimney crown sitting in my carport. It was of dubious quality and was dented and deformed. I was surprised to discover that B.B. was the person who had dropped it off.

I called Mr. Raby to find out exactly what was going on after not hearing from him for 15 days. I explained to him that State Farm said that his crew had actually caused the damage to the chimney crown. He did not deny this and asked how old the original chimney crown was. I also explained that I thought Roof Tech had abandoned the job and I hired another company to finish the work. Mr. Raby screamed at me and used profanity. I won’t go into details, but suffice it to say, I hope no one else has to suffer through this experience.

In summary, the original quote was $2250. After over 5 months of waiting, Roof Tech expected a total of $4400 to finish a job that included repairs to damage caused by their own workers. After I fired Roof Tech, a competitor had no trouble installing a high quality chimney cap in just a few weeks.

All the guys from Roof Tech Solutions did a great job on my roof. Special thanks to my main man Marshall Henke who kept me in the know & is a hard worker. And is now my new friend. Thanks for a well done job & looking forward to working with this crew again.

Roof Tech has been a great company to work with, they were on it from the initial call regarding the roof damage, to the interim patch up and fix, all the way up to the actual repairs. I'd like to call out Dawson in particular as he was instrumental in dealing with the different crews and coordinating our repairs as well working with our insurance company and keeping communications with us throughout the repair. I would reccomend Roof Tech's services for anyone needing roof repairs.

This company was very professional. The young man took his time and explained everything. He promised to take care of our needs, and that is exactly what he did. Our roof was leaking when he came to do the estimate. And without me telling him if I was going to allow his company to fix our roof, he climbed. up and put a patch to prevent further water damage. To me that was above and beyond. I recommend this company because they are reliable, and they have a way of making the customer feel valued. Oh, and don't forget the quality of work EXCELLENT!.

I went back to Roof Tech after some storm damage. They remembered me and made me feel like a welcome return customer. The work was fast and high quality. They treated my property and repairs with respect.

After having trouble with another roofing company, we hired Mike and his team for a project in MidCity. He communicated effectively and finished the job in no time. The experience with Roof Tech was seamless, and we look forward to working with him in the future on more projects!

Roof Tech reroofed our home after the duracho we experienced in the spring. I requested a quote, and Mike Raby responded promptly . The quote was straight forward, and he didn't pressure me with any up-sales. I was covered for a Fortified Roof (Institute for Business & Home Safety), and Roof Tech is only 1 of 3 roofers that are certified in Fortified roof standards. He knew exactly what was needed for the Fortified Roof, and provided the IBHS warranty after the work was complete. Excellent, excellent job! I would recommend Roof Tech to anyone, and Roof Tech is the only roofer that I would use for a Fortified Roof install

The professional experience with Roof Tech began with meeting Dalton and his explicit explantion of the materials, pricing and application. Throughout the two day work by the crew, Dalton was here to assure that the job was complete. The crew was respectful of our property. They did a clean up at the end of both days. It did not require me to go back and redo.
Dalton has followed up with us answering any questions regarding the application.
I recommend Roof Tech with confidence to future cutomers who consider a new roof.

Where do I start?!?! Mike was amazing. He answered all the questions I had…and there were a lot! He broke down the quotes so that not only I could understand but my wife as well. Mike and Brody went above and beyond dealing with my homeowners insurance. The insurance company denied my claim completely stating I didn’t have enough damage to meet deductible. With Brody’s help and knowledge appealing insurance decision, they agreed to pay for a total roof replacement. Afterwards roof was replaced in 2 days which is amazing since it was a fairly large job! Brody always kept in contact and I never had to run him down if I had a question. Superior customer service!

Roof Tech’s Brody worked with me for over 4 months to provide documentation to my insurance company, in order for damages and new roofing to be covered. Until that was completed, he provided caulking repairs for some leaks.
From my first insurance estimate not even meeting my deductible, Brody kept on working until my insurance company covered a complete roof replacement.
Once finally approved, he lined up the job to be completed within a week.
The new roof looks great and we were treated with respect the whole time. We highly recommend Roof Tech for their professionalism and responsiveness.

It is hard enough to get a hold of contractors these days, (or to have one return a call), but to find a company that answers their phone, texts or email's timely is almost non existent now a days. We could always count on Roof Tech Solutions to get back to us timely whenever we had questions or just needed advice.
We had a long drawn out process with our insurance company, and we were not able to have our new roof installed for almost 5 months. During that time, the insurance company sent out adjusters and engineers to evaluate our roof, and Dawson was always available to be here when we needed him. He stayed in contact with us, messaging at least once a month to see if we needed anything from him while we were waiting for the insurance company to make a decision.
They are professional, knowledgeable and very affordable.
We will definitely be using them again in the near future for other home projects that we have planned.
I highly recommend them.

I cannot say how much of a great experience I had with roof tech solutions. Toni and Dawson were on point with everything. Toni was great at explaining options and was very informative about the shingles and other products they used. I felt confident with their people, the products, and the price of their service. From first phone call to installation took 3 days. The crew were fast at installation, completing it within a day. And the new ridge vents have made a huge impact on my ac just in the last week(just as Toni said it would).

My house has never looked so good for just a basic box!

I will be having them do more work for me in the future and can’t wait to talk to them again.

These guys were great. When you connect with a reliable company that's professional and compassionate, I mean, you can just exhale. They were very organized in the actual roof install, too; it was like an art form. Storms have come since then, and roof's still holding.

We needed a new roof, the original 15 year old one from whoever built the house was not done correctly. We asked online for recommendations and worked up a short-list based on reviews and personal recommendations.

After getting all the estimates, we decided to go with Roof-tech - mostly because they didn’t hand us a 30 page, color coded folder with a bunch of stuff in it that we don’t care about. (I’d rather save the $50 off the price of the roof and go without the folder) But also because we liked that the owner came out personally and he and his wife were very nice and knowledgeable; and of course their pricing was fantastic.

I did want black walnut shingles but due to covid and supply chain and whatever else, they were not easy to come by and so we went with the tamko weathered wood which I think turned out very complimentary to the brick.

The shingles were dropped off a week after we gave them the deposit and the roof was started the next morning. The crew showed up early, began work before 7 and stayed until dark. The next day they came at 6:30 and we’re done by lunch. (Including cleanup and everything)

There was a spot on the trim at the front of the house I wasn’t satisfied with how it looked, Mike said he would send someone out in a few days to fix it. He kept his word and a few days later it was fixed perfectly. They also fixed a section in the back that I didn’t even mention to them because it wasn’t very noticeable. To me that speaks volumes about the character of a company, I could tell they didn’t want their name on something that wasn’t perfect.

We’ve had a little rain and wind since the new roof and so far everything seems great, I’m very happy with the work and can definitely give my stamp of approval and wholehearted endorsement of roof-tech.

Had a tree hit my house a few months ago. After contacting approximately 20 contractors, had several "ghost" me, several not respond, and several flat out refuse my job, I got ahold of Roof Tech Solutions. They took my job and have done great work re-framing my porch, re-roofing my house, and sealing and Re-Vinyling the damaged area of my house. I've been happy with their work and am now having them start work on other projects not apart of the insurance job. Anytime I had any issues concerns with the work done, I just gave Mike a call and he had the guys out the next day to adjust whatever needed adjusting. He seems to be a very honest guy and I plan to continue using him for all my future home improvement projects. Highly recommend.
