Chronic Website Inventory Accuracy Problem

This is a recurring issue that needs addressing: Walmart’s website consistently shows items as available at the Kenai location when they’re actually out of stock in-store.

Today’s example: Onn USB-C Extension Cable shown as “available” online, drove to store, completely sold out. This happens frequently with various electronics and household items.

Impact on Rural Alaska Customers:

- Wasted gas and driving time in area with limited shopping options
- Unreliable inventory information affects trip planning
- Frustrating experience for customers who depend on accurate website info

Suggestion for Improvement:

Please sync your website inventory system with actual store stock, especially for smaller rural locations where customers may drive significant distances based on online availability.

The store staff are always helpful when items aren’t available, but the underlying inventory management system needs updating to serve rural customers better.

Would appreciate more accurate online inventory information to avoid unnecessary trips.

I would never have given this review if they didn’t start Walmart plus I have been such a game changer for me now I have to wait in there for anything lol
The only reason I say that is because inside the store, everything’s been locked up these days Legos waiting 20 minutes just locking toys is ridiculous. They don’t have enough people holding the keys from baby products to spam. I understand theft control, but this is gone too far. Some of us still have the time to wait so long.

I was looking at the ingredients of two pork panko mixtures and I was asked to move out of the way for an order picker, who then picked the last one I was looking at. I tried to explain I was looking at that and was about to grab it. He apologized and scurried away. Left my cart there and left. I'll come back after I cool down but now I feel antagonistic to this Walmart.

Lately I have noticed that when purchasing groceries at our local Walmart store some food items are way past its expiration date, anywhere from 1 to 2 years old. I feel with the high price of groceries these days we should at least be getting fresh food not outdated product or at least lower the price. It's ridiculous! start looking at your expiration dates. Unless you like paying high prices for stale food then you do you ;-) example photo. I just purchased these 2 days ago

My experience at Walmart has been incredibly disappointing. The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful, making it a challenge to shop comfortably. They always seem to assume the worst of customers, treating everyone like they’re there to steal rather than shop.

On top of that, none of the employees are approachable. It’s nearly impossible to find someone willing to assist or even answer a simple question without an attitude. The lack of customer service makes the entire shopping experience unpleasant.

I wouldn’t recommend visiting this location unless you’re prepared for poor treatment and no help at all. Definitely not the level of service you’d hope for from such a large retailer.

I've only ever had one person know how to ring up water from the refill station. Even when the manager helps it's not done right. I've been charged double more than once. I'll get charged for containers too, even though I bring my own and state as much. I've started checking my receipts in store as I'm out more than $50 in over charges the last few months. It takes about 20 mins plus for customer service to fix. They use multiple plastic gift cards to fix it, then do my return to a gift card. A dumb use of plastic. It's the only place with a water station I've found or I'd go elsewhere and get all my groceries etc elsewhere too.

Update: the water refill machine is constantly out of order and they never answer the phone so you can call ahead to check.

A friendly Super Walmart with tons of parking. Includes a liquor store. TIM in the meat department was extremely helpful and courteous.

Cashier still try to harass you, as you are trying to pay for your items that you have already rang up and always make you feel uncomfortable due to others taking advantage of the system. They think everybody else is doing the same thing. Customer service treats, others like the rest And it's unfair

It's been revamped, so everyone is learning where things are located now, but the new products and clothing are really awesome! It's nice to have a new selection of affordable clothing in this small town!

Don't like the new layout .. when you need someone to help noone is around and if your just browsing looking at things they're all over you

They could use more registers open and more smiles. I will say they have things you can't find in other stores around here.

They just reorganize the whole store so finding things was a little bit more difficult but other than that and it being a little more crowded than usual it's alright. Seems like there could be 1 or more registers open for checking out but I was still serviced pretty quickly. The store was pretty clean. Looking around and taking notice though id venture to say if they had a couple more employees paying attention they'd probably cut down the amount of stealing going on! Over all it's definitely one of my top favorite places to shop in the area.
