138 Construction LLC

While building our dream home on Kenai Peninsula we learned finding good contractors is hard to do. Between not knowing what communication means, only wanting to work 20 hours a week, subpar work and even lying about their business license and bonding it has been very frustrating. After original contractor had 3 chances over course of 2 years to build brand new roof that did leak, 138 contractors LLC stepped in and bailed out of a jam. They gave good estimate, great communication thru out project, showed up to work early and did cleanup like no one else. Only regret is I did not have them on my side since day 1. They restored my faith there are still good contractors. It also reminded me you get what you pay for. I will use their services again. Thank you

We start this tale as a saga of sorts where there is a villain arc (original company) followed by a redemption arc (138 LLC). Originally, we had contracted a flooring job to another local company, specifically wanting to address 2 sets of stairs (along with changing all flooring in the house to LVP). Naturally, I had done my homework and had received multiple other bids for my flooring job. I went with the original company as the company that I hired to do the flooring job. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake.

There were a series of massively unethical and unfortunate events on the original company's part once the flooring job began that not only angered us but left the project in a stay of disarray and chaos. However, one of the greatest gains that we had that literally saved this project was 138 LLC. 138 LLC was subcontracted to finish the floor for the original company. This was the best crew that could have ever helped us with this project.

The amount of professionalism, assistance, and care that all of these outstanding professionals gave to help right the wrongs that occurred cannot be overstated. They went above and beyond to help resolve all of the flooring issues, plan for a safe and up to code set of stairs and finished the project the way that they said they would.

Dylan was a person of his word and followed through on everything that he said that he was going to do. Nick created a beautiful set of stairs for the house and finished them out with Wyatt who did an excellent job with finishing work. Isaac, Niles, and Bailey did an excellent job with the LVP. And a special shout out to Dylan and Isaac for installing the beautiful copper panels on my ceiling!

All this being said, we appreciate 138 LLC. We will be utilizing them in the future for other needs.

Building in AK will always be a unique challenge, and Dylan and Luck are tremendous at dealing with the difficulties while managing expectations, cost, and communication. If you need guys you can trust, look no further. Be reasonable and expect they’re going to have a full dance card for quite some time, but know they’re worth the wait. I don’t leave online reviews very often, but I felt compelled in this case, cheers fellas.
