After the last big rain I noticed a leak in the ceiling and freaked out a bit. I called around and most places were booked but this roofing company managed to squeeze me in for an estimate. The guy showed up and got up on the roof fast. He took pics of the damage and explained it real simple so I could understand what was going on. There were some cracked shingles and a problem around the vent pipe. They gave me a fair price and started work two days later. The crew was friendly and worked quick even though the weather was kinda sketchy. They finished in less than a day and cleaned up everything. No nails left in the yard which I was worried about cause of my dog. Only small issue was they showed up a little late in the morning but they called ahead. Since the repair I haven’t seen any leaks and we had some heavy rain last week too. I feel like they really knew what they were doing and didn’t try to upsell me anything crazy. Would definitely recommend them if your roof is acting up. I hope I don’t need them again but I’d call for sure.

Another GREAT experience with Valentine Roofing! They replaced our roof Last August and was so impressed and after calling earlier this week about their toof and gutter cleanng they were out yesterday and once again, so professional, respectful and took extra care with the cleanup

We had a great experience from start to finish with Valentine putting on our new roof.

The quote process was easy with the good amount of information provided but no high pressure sales pitch that ate a lot of our time. They were on par with other quotes we received and far below one from a big national construction company.

Once hired, the information and communication leading up to and throughout the work was informative and relatively smooth considering there’s some flex in scheduling due to other jobs. The crew on site were professional, efficient and did a fantastic clean up of our property. Because of the age and condition of the roof, we anticipated there’d be repairs needed when the old materials were removed. Communication about these items was fast and efficient even though we were away at work while their work was happening at our home.

We are really pleased with the work and the look of the new roof!

I paid for their roof cleaning and gutter polishing. Roof cleaning looks fine. They damaged my gutters though. These gutters were installed February 2024 and they ruined them. Not to mention the gutters don’t even look cleaned.

Worst part, they won’t answer any of the calls I make to them about this.

Jess explained the process and scheduled a tech to come out that not only inspected the problem but was able to make the repairs on the same day. Jose Palma and his team came to our home to install a metal roof on our main house and our ADU. He was prompt, considerate, efficient and effective. He took all the time needed to properly complete the work and ensure 100% customer satisfaction. We are so pleased with our new metal roof and its beauty. Jose and his team really exceeded our expectations.

My house had heavy moss buildup and Valentine Roofing came out today with 2 hardworking workers for 3.5 hrs to ensure all of the moss on the roof and gutters were removed and cleared from property. They also used moss prevention powder to prevent future growth. In addition, a comprehensive roof inspection was performed. I had a few estimates and their price is on the more affordable side. I do recommend them for roof cleaning services.

Your techs did a fantastic job on the cleaning of my roof. They were extremely polite, and customer service was above and beyond.That's something you don't see very much anymore! Brandon was great on time for appointment. I went up on my roof with him and he pointed out all the things that were good on my roof. Told me my roof was installed correctly and did not need to be replaced and told me how to fix my flashing leak myself. I would highly recommend this company and Brandon was very knowledgeable and helpful with my questions.

Jerel, was very professional and easy to work with. He knows his stuff and gave us very good service ! He cleaned up after himself and made sure we understood any concerns he had and gave us a good accounting of the remaining life of the material on the roof.

We signed up for a VR annual gutter cleaning years ago and auto-schedule for gutter cleaning for mid-December every year.
We inquired about a time frame for this year's clean and were told that because of the Boom Blast storm and a personnel issue, they were backed up and could not get to us until the beginning of January.
I was disappointed about the delay because the gutters were full of leaves (the reason we have them cleaned every year after the leaves have fallen), but I understand their issues.
VR came out the second week/- in January. They left behind a bucket, a hose, and some gloves.
On the weekend of 3/22, during a heavy but not thundering rainfall. I heard something outside and noticed that a corner piece on the gutter next to a downspout was overflowing and pouring. There is an issue with the gutter/downspout, which I assume is clogging.
I called VR Monday morning, 3/31, and managed through their automated phone system, which did not have the option to talk to a representative. (really!!) I picked the best choice, a salesperson, and left a message to call me. Later that day, when I did not receive a callback, I called VR again, and the sales person said I was on his list to call. He had to put me on hold while researching who I had to talk to. He told me that the "Home team" had been informed of my issue and request for service and would get back to me.
As of Friday morning, 4 days later, no one has called me back.
Hopefully, this review will prompt someone to call me.....
Sadly, it takes this to get a callback.

I am very pleased with my annual roof and gutter maintenance. After completion of the gutter and roof cleaning and the placement of the moss killer, my roof looks like the day it was installed 8 years ago. Zack and Kannon did a great, thorough job of cleaning and clean up. I am also glad that they do a roof inspection for any possible problems. If they do discover a problem, I know that I can rely on Valentine Roofing for repair. I am also considering additional services such as window cleaning, driveway cleaning, and siding replacement on my chimney extension. I have complete trust that Valentine Roofing does each job right the first time!

When there was a problem with the shingle color due to an error by the supplier, Valentine Roofing worked with us to resolve the problem to be sure our needs were met and we were happy with the project. Valentine's staff were incredibly helpful and professional.

They deleted my last on star review cuz they want people to know how crooked and deceiving they are let me explain how I pay about 3000 for. Them to fix a leak that leaked again in less than a year ( my wife was the one who hired you to do that job guess who paid for it by saying that you'll talk with the owner of the house about my complaint without knowing who I am it shows how unprofessional you guys are I'll make sure none of my friends and family hire you again

We got our new roof from Valentine Roofing. They have been fantastic! The people who installed the roof were skilled and did high quality work. They also were very neat and cleaned up after the work. Overall, I am satisfied with the way the project was handled

We got a new roof from Valentine in 2016. Unfortunately, in 2023 it started leaking over our garage, and we requested a technician inspection in early fall. We were in a 2 month drought at the time, so there was no evidence of water, water stains, or a leak. It got much worse during fall and winter of 2024. Unfortunately, we realized this during the 2 year holiday break at the end of the year, so we were on edge until a technician could come out in early January to assess and put a tarp over the leak. Jess in the warranty department is a rockstar! She was so responsive, thorough, detailed, sympathetic, and understanding. It took almost 2 months for our roof to get fixed (but don't forget it was tarped, so no further damage was occurring). Some of the delays were weather related, another time a supplier gave Valentine the wrong shingles. Eventually it got figured out. Remember, a stable and successful company is not going to have a wide open schedule. The shingles on one of the hips of the roof had not been nailed correctly on installation, but Valentine took full responsibility for this. Jess was super persistent and ensured that our interior repairs would be covered by one of their partners (E + M drywall). OMG. Our garage ceiling is unique and has a unique texture and finish (basically like interior drywall ceiling). It literally looks better than brand new, we are so impressed. When you need house repairs, and it takes a while, lt can absolutely be agonizing, but Valentine Roofing 1000% took care of us. We appreciate all of you: Valentine, Jess, and E + M drywall.

Completely satisfied with my roof replacement by Valentine Roofing. Thorough and very hard-working crew. Reasonably priced. Customer service and warrantee outstanding.

They installed a cap on my roof wrong which caused a leak. I tried to work with them for a year to get the damage fixed. Their idea of fixing it was to not deal with any of the black mold and just drywall up over the damage. I would never recommend them!

Cameron the service tech the other Valentine roofing crew did a quality job. Which in my opinion, they gave my gutters, roof and the associated clean up the same attention that I did when was doing it. Job well done!

They worked very hard and able to get my roof project complete just less than 3 days. They provided high quality work and excellent service. We recently purchased a home in Oak Harbor that had a new roof installed about 3 months before sell. Within 1 month from closing the purchase, strong wind gust between 50 to 60 mph ripped off an entire section of the new roof. We tried contacting the company that installed roof, and we still have not received a response from them.
We didn't want to have to repair our roof whenever high wind gust pass through, so we started requesting bids for a new roof that could withstand the high wind gust that frequent our area. Several companies made presentations and bids, but only one actually went up on the roof and into the attic before presenting an estimate. We also discovered that Valentine did not subcontract out their roofing jobs and all of the workers were company employees not day laborers.
The roofing crew assigned to our home was better than 5 stars. We were so impressed with their professionalism. The final day of work on the new roof most of the island lost power due to high wind gust up to 50 mph that continued the entire day. The roofing crew never stopped working and completed the job. They are the best of the best.
Also, Valentine's estimate was 25 percent less than the competition for the same material, Owens Corning Duration shingles rated to withstand winds up to 130 mph. Other companies could learn a lot from Valentine Roofing. The invoice amount was the same as the estimate on completion. Yes, we strongly recommend them to anyone for your repair needs.

Awesome company to work with. Initially they did not try and sell a new roofing job, they quoted the exact repair we requested. After discussions my wife and I decided on a new roof. Jose and his crew showed up, they were all very professional. He immediately contacted us regarding what he found under the old shingles. We had to replace all of the plywood. LeeAnn and Jose were amazing. I was quoted an immediate price, that I found to be very reasonable. Jose and his crew completed all of the work in two days. What a huge difference with the new ridge venting installed. They cleaned up the entire job site, and Jose walked me around to ensure I was happy with their work. LeeAnn contacted me every morning once we received a project start date. She ensured I had all of my questions answered. Made sure we knew when the products and dumpster would be delivered and picked up. Amazing group to work with. I would absolutely recommend this company for anyone looking to fix or replace their roofing.

Elias and the whole crew were very professional. They communicated well even though English is a second language. They were thorough in their daily cleanup and even more so at the end of the job. Extremely happy with their work!! I would highly recommend them! Alex with the sales crew was also very impressive; as the entire quote, pictures, and thoroughness of their assessment was top notch!

12-2-24 update. I have been contacted by Valentine Roofing and they said they will be contacting a Gutter Helmet rep to see if my issue can be resolved. end update
Beautiful roof installation at the end of August 2023. Very little mess left behind. Fairly quick, only a day longer than expected on the install. So why the 1 Star? Valentine roofing reinstalled my Gutter Helmet improperly. I informed them of this problem a month later because Sept 2023 was the first time in 19 years I had to clean out my gutters. After many calls and texts, someone was finally sent out July 11, 2024 to see if it could be fixed. The fix was scheduled for August 16 but our family couldn't do that because of my wife's work schedule. So Valentine rescheduled for August 23 and my wife and I agreed to that date. Then Valentine contacted me via text that they rescheduled the repair for August 16 (again). I reinformed them that date was not doable because my wife works nights. Then they had the audacity to inform me that their "tech" was unscheduled from my repair so he could " oversee a full replacement the 21-23 and unfortunately, he is out of town the week of the 26." To say the least, I felt like I was not important to Valentine roofing but we agreed to have the "tech" come out on September 3rd. He did come out, and reinstalled the Gutter Helmet. When the roof was originally replaced, the installers damaged the brackets that held the Gutter Helmet in place. Those brackets were not replaced, so the Gutter Helmet sits so far back on my roof line, the debris just falls into my gutters as if there was no Gutter Helmet at all. I contacted Valentine via text on Sept 3rd and have received nothing from them since.
If Valentine would fix this issue, I would change this to a 5 star in a heartbeat, or at least faster than the year it took for them to physically respond to my issue, which still isn't fixed.
This is truly all I want, to have my Gutter Helmet PROPERLY installed. I doesn't matter if Valentine can actually do it themselves or if they have to hire an actual Gutter Helmet installer to do it.

I had amazing service with this company they are very honest. The technician that came to my house was on time, had good communication with me and was extremely knowledgeable. I will be using this company for my future house projects.

Be forewarned: the so called warranty for your roof pretty much useless if you discover mistakes that lead to leaks or mold — as we did — after installation. They are masters at giving the runaround and denying responsibility for shoddy work, even when presented with photos and documentation. When I shared about our problems with Valentine Roofing on a local Facebook group other Valentine clients reached out to me with horror stories of their own, some involving considerable damage to their homes and lawsuits. Stay away from these shysters.

We had our roof and gutters replaced summer of 2024. Estimator was friendly and kind, provided a bid lower than competitors and seemed to have good quality/warranty. We learned after we choose Valentine and they started the project that the estimator under projected how much plywood we would need which cost 6 thousand extra, which would have brought the total cost to that of their competitor. Though possibly not, this felt like a dishonest sales tactic.

Communication with valentines are difficult, we never really knew who was in charge of what. Difficult to manage a project like this when you have a career/work schedule.

The straw that broke the camels back is when we were micromanaged by accounting and were texted messages asking for “payment update” every 2 days till payment was received.

Recommendations
- Ask for your estimator to give you the “worst case scenario” bid.
- Ask for all additional costs to be approved via email, not via phone.
- have a trusted person come and look at the roof when they are done and report any poor outcomes right away so they can work to correct this (we needed a assessor to come out afterwards and identify all the uncompleted/incorrectly done issues, which were corrected later).
-personal preference, we did not pay the entire invoice until all issues were corrected. We did pay the majority, but left 10% unpaid until the entire project was done, corrections included.

Professional, exceptional experience. Roof replacement.

We had a small leak in our master bathroom that needed repair. The estimator, Alex Salazar, did a phenomenal job at building our confidence in the ability of Valentine Roofing to get the job done correctly. His attention to detail, ability to get into our crawl space to assess overall project requirements, with videos and images, was above and beyond. Options were provided for the entire roof and also the area of concern as well. We scheduled the entire roof replacement, Materials were delivered shorty after, and the entire roof was replaced within 3 days. Jose Palma, lead on the roof replacement, kept us well informed on the progress daily with photos. I appreciated his strong work ethic, communication, and ability to keep the job site well maintained.

Our roof turned out amazing, a true testament to the pride they took in their workmanship.

I wish we could give 10 stars. After dealing with a different less known roofing company (RT) and that experience was a nightmare and was so unnecessary! Dealing with Valentine Roofing was the polar opposite! From Daniel the sales/estimator to Courtney the job coordinator, to Jose' and his team/crew. The customer service is far beyond 5 stars. The professionalism, knowledge and work ethic were also beyond 5 stars. The respect and care they had for our home and surrounding plants, hot tub and, deck we felt they were treating our home as if it was theirs. They were not the least expensive, however what we saw in Daniel and his commitment to making sure we were well taken care of even going to our HOA to present samples of the roof and offering to meet with the board was above and beyond. Paying a little extra was well worth our peace of mind knowing we had chosen the BEST OF THE BEST. Our advice CHOOSE VALENTINE and if not then, always get 3 or more bids, read the contract in detail before signing and make sure you don't give 50% of cost up front before your HOA makes a decision on approval or not.

The entire roofing experience has been excellent. Personal, conscientious, and high quality work every step along the way. AMAZING service, great price and incredible product. They were systematic and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

We had an odd roof leak that was very difficult to diagnose. Chuck came out twice. He was hesitant to do any work without understanding where the problem was. In the end, he put together a hypothesis of what was happening during the heavy rains. He gave us a few tips on what might work to mitigate the problem ourselves. Lo and behold, he was dead on and the leak stopped. Sometimes less is more. I have another roofing vent project coming up and I know exactly who I'm calling!!!!

Had our house done all was good asked them to come out to give me a bid on a barn the guy came out looked around a bit came back told us he was going to get a bid should not take to long from his van comes back to give us a folder and the bid the bid was almost as much as the house I think he was out to make some good money for himself I was not one bit happy with the whole mess on the bid for the barn be careful get more bids before you pick this place oh and now I see they got a fine for over $200,000 for safety to there employees from L and I

A couple weeks after installing our roof I saw Valentine Roofing on Seattle Refined talking about the “Valentine Experience.” This was not bluster, Valentine practices what they preach. The work crew did a great job with the moss and gutter cleaning of our roof. They came back 2 weeks later, at my request, to make sure everything looked good for our upcoming wedding.

Valintine did an excellent job start to finish on our roofing project. They replaced the torch down roofing on our 100-year-old cabin with a new PVC membrane, including repairs to the roof around some vents and replacing some damaged wood. They accommodated the repairs with customs parts and wood due to the age of the structure which at this point is anything but standard. They are wonderful!

We had a new roof installed a little over a year ago by Valentine’s and it was a great job and looks awesome. It was due for a cleaning but my husband of 44 years passed away four weeks ago and not something I could afford at this time. They came out anyway and cleaned my roof and gutters at no charge. This is a great company that does great work and cares about the customers

Valentine did a pretty good job and at a fair price. They competed the job in the time they said they would (3 days ). They are hard workers and did a very good cleanup afterwards. The roof looks great and seems like a quality job. The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars is that they broke two pieces of siding while installing the flashing and per their contract take no responsibility so the repair will be up to me. My job took six weeks to start after signing the contract.

Jesus was thorough and helpful with my screens on the windows before he cleaned. He spent time and did not rush and very likable and approachable, which is very helpful to the integrity of a company. I will definitely ask for him again!

Valentine replaced my roof in 2021 and did an excellent and thorough job, including correcting the venting that was not done correctly by the previous roofing guy which resulted in the need to also replace all of the plywood. They also added insulation. They now come annually and provide a comprehensive annual roof inspection and clean the roof and interior gutters. Today Jerel did an excellent job doing this and left the house cleaner than it was when he arrived. They also did not try to push any other services that I have used in the past with great satisfaction (e.g. washed siding, gutter polish and window cleaning). I feel confident knowing that my rooftop is in good hands with Valentine Roofing. Thank you Jerel (and Alex last year).
